In an email obtained by Campus Reform, Assistant Professor Eli Hvastkovs, who teaches chemistry at East Carolina University (ECU), instructed his students to prepare a “family friendly” 35 word personal statement that mentions future plans or “thanks someone.” The students, however, were explicitly forbidden from thanking God.
“I've had some submissions that needed to be edited. so [sic] here are some guidelines,” the email reads. “1. You can't thank God. I'm sorry about this – and I don't want to have to outline the reasons why.”

I do not believe in any Gods, but I would never tell anyone else not to.
The so called separation clause as I see it is a restriction on the Government not to influence a populace on a specific religion. this clause does not restrict the people from freedom to express their religion anywhere they choose so long as they do not hinder others in a disruptive manner. Those individuals who do not wish to participate are free to do so. My question is this : Why has no person argued from this standpoint?

I hope they didn't OBEY this stupid "guideline". In fact I hope someone would be at the podium and just do what others have done; invite ALL in attendance to join in and "thank God". Nothing can be done after it's done, so who cares...NEVER let someone intimidate you like this.
Adolf Hitler told people what to say and when to say it. This country needs to hang most laywers, all politicians, and half of all college staff. Sorry lol it would just balance the system. In a perfect world you would hang all three groups.
