Wicomico County’s Recreation, Parks & Tourism Department will host the Hershey’s Track & Field Games Meet for youth on Thursday, June 13 at 6:00 pm at the Wicomico County Stadium. Hershey’s Track & Field Games have inspired millions of children from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Canada, to experience excellence by being their best while having fun with every run, jump and throw. Hershey’s Track & Field Games is designed to encourage physical fitness while emphasizing participation and sportsmanship among young athletes.
Games are open to boys and girls ages 9-14 years old that will compete in their age group according to the age they will be on December 31, 2013. These youth participants must be a Maryland resident and be able to present legal birth documentation.
The Games are free for participants, but on-site registration is required. Registration begins at 5:15 pm. Forms are available for download online at www.wicomicorecandparks.org or can be picked up at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center Box Office in advance.
