Will Local Clearchannel Experience Layoffs?

The Clear Channel-owned national rep firm will dismiss 122 people across all divisions, mainly among its sales force. According to sources, the steep decline in national advertising combined with a two-year build up of salespeople was an unprofitable combination for the division. This could mean the loss of some jobs here locally.

My experience with Clear Channel causes me to not be surprised by this at all. It took them more than a month to get me a quote on a ad for the Transit Bus and they still couldn't give me a "firm" price or tell me when they could get the ad up.

Shouldn't the Salisbury Clear Channel location be fine since they already removed the top sales executives?

There will be cuts at EVERY location. Yesterday Clear Channel fired a ton of really good sales people in Philly. I know that the Salisbury location is still losing a ton of money since they fired all of those people in September.
