Debate

No question about it, McCain blew Obama away.

I feel both candidates had their strong times and both had their weak moments.
I was disturbed by McCains antics and kept wondering who he was looking at for guideance. I believe we also saw just a tad bit of the angry McCain.
I was glad to see them actually answer the questions!

McCain should be angry. The bozo he's up against will not allow any query about himself (unheard of)and is acting as if he's already won.
I might like "that one" better if he were to get a little angry on occasion. He claims McCains ads are negative, yet in Virginia where his outnumber them by some 15 or 20 to one are TOTALLY negative. So who cares anyhow. Isn't that the way they play?

I am a registered independent and agree with your assessment. Neither blew the other one out of the water. McCain was better than usual but still is not a public speaker. Obama was not as fluent as usual but is still a much better speaker than his opponent. I don't agree with the redistribute the wealth plan of Obama, but I'm not sure why the richest need tax breaks either.

Did you notice that the major networks are showing the clip of Joe the plumber minus the audio. Obama explicitly states that Joe has to understand that he is going to redistribute wealth. He intimated that it was almost Joe's national duty to work to have his "wealth" redistributed to others. Obama will give tax returns to many people that pay 0 in taxes, this is the truth. Its not the beginning of socialism, it is socialism and it will destroy this country.

Not according to the polls. Independents said Obama won by 58 to 31.

too bad reality doesn't match your desires, Joe.

McCain did better than his other debates, but it was a lot like Palin--expectations were so low that he couldn't help but look ok! I think Obama started strong, then McCain hit his stride, but the last 45 minutes or so belonged to Obama. I want my president to be able to keep cool under pressure--McCain kept grimacing, rolling his eyes, making noises. The best was the very end, where he did that weird laugh of his with a bit of a nutty look.

Those who think the better debater will be the better president are not too bright.
