Today's Daily Times

I just received my Saturday Daily Times paper and wouldn't you know it, they've been following my Blog again. As you could see from my earlier Post, my question to the City was back on March 10, 2008, who owns Station 16? It took almost two weeks to get NO ANSWER from the City, yet the very next day the Daily Times has a front page article about it?

There's no question in my mind who controls that newspaper, IF you want to call it that? Oh well, just more evidence that paper is losing ground very quickly and the Blogs are tearing them a new one.

Oh, by the way Daily Times, you could have advertised the Easter Egg Hunt today in Pittsville while you were plugging everyone else. Oh, other than that article, nobody is missing a thing today.

You're right Joe. I have not even bothered renewing my subscription and I am still getting the paper. By the time I read it, the news is so old! I find out things quicker via SBY NEWS! I must say though I have been
recycyling the paper, so it is not all a lost cause!

Most mornings since the new press began, I don't receive a newspaper by 7:30 AM - like this morning.

Between the online edition and the blogs which scoop most stories anyway, I'm strongly considering dropping my subscription too.

Speaking to the issue of ownership of the real estate that is the fire station (thanks Joe for making it news), I would hope that whoever was planning on being the big sport and giving it away has been brought to their senses....this is not the time for such actions. The SBY gov't and the fire dept. (whichever ends up being the owner) have more pressing needs. Don't they?

Dummy Times online special see front page was yesterdays. Even their online edition is behind time and getting worst. Pretty soon you will be a week behind on all the news. Maybe that is their next objective. That way the Good Ole Boys will have a my way or no way Government, more than they have now. Pathetic. aen

I don't know if the print version is the same as the online but, come on they can't even get the right pictures with the captions...

They better keep it as a fire house, at least until they find out if the new one is going to SINK.

That place will go down like the unsinkable Titanic.

My repair shop phone number is one digit different from the times{7427171 vs. 7497171}. Think I don't get complaint calls? One woman blasted me because she could not find the horoscopes. I do need the times though, I have two lab puppys at home.

They probably think if they post yesterdays news online people will go back to buying the paper, NOT. What for? They are already days behind the blogs. Even if they dropped their online version, I still would not pay a cent for that paper.

I still get that free piece of crap they throw in my yard/street/sidewalk, and don't read, I can see while still in the plastic bag that the page is much smaller.

Newspapers are a dying breed, unfortunately this one is DOA.

Maybe the reason you think that the Daily Times sucks so much is because they crib your sorry blog so much.

When you take crap from crap you get crap....
