Martenson: Mainstream Media Lied And People Died

Chris Martenson is a futurist, economic researcher and holds a PhD in toxicology from Duke University. He is telling people to “brace for impact” because we are well beyond the point of no return economically and financially speaking.

Martenson explains, “We are not doing anything except steering towards a cliff edge at this point in time..."

" We had the 2008 financial crisis, and we should have learned a couple of lessons. We didn’t learn any lessons, and I think we have just enshrined these lessons into something that is really going to bite us. The Federal Reserve, Plunge Protection Team and all the organs of state are all geared towards one thing and one thing only, and that is giving more money to rich people.

I believe we are in the Fourth Turning . . . and one of the hallmarks of this is loss of faith in institutions. The Federal Reserve is still held up as a benevolent organization. They care about inflation and unemployment, and none of that is true. What they care about is shoveling and funneling big profits to big banks. So, the Federal Reserve deserves to lose every bit of respect anybody has ever held for it.”

Martenson goes on to say, “I think this is ruining our society..."

" This is the kind of thing that I believe led Plutarch way back a couple of thousand years ago to say, ‘The oldest and most fatal ailment of all republics is a gap between the rich and the poor.’ The Federal Reserve is busy enshrining and ensuring that we have the largest and steepest wealth pyramid we have ever seen. . . . The Federal Reserve is creating the conditions that lead to a future that I don’t want to go toward. I don’t want to live in a place where mobs rule, people are unhappy and riots are happening. . . .

The Federal Reserve is the entity that is most responsible for most of the pain we see going on around us. I wrote an article called ‘Brace for Impact’ recently because this is a trend I am seeing, and it is accelerating and not slowing down. There are no signs that team elite is going to say we have taken enough . . . let’s start reversing some of that. No, they are going to keep doing what they do, and they won’t stop until something breaks.”

Nowhere are the problems more in focus than in the large Democrat controlled cities. Martenson says:

...this is why you are seeing a “back to land movement . . . a flight from the cities . . . and this trend is just starting.”

Governor Hogan Continues to Stress Vigilance In COVID-19 Fight, State Superintendent Sets Guardrails for Schools to Reopen

State Officials Will Allow Local Flexibility, Require Face Coverings in Classrooms, Strict Protocols for Positive CasesGovernor Reiterates Safer at Home Guidance, Including Face Coverings, Physical Distancing, and TeleworkingGovernor Presses Local Officials to Actively and Aggressively Enforce Public Health OrdersOut-of-State Travelers Should Get Tested and Self-Quarantine While Awaiting ResultsState Officials Continue to Strongly Encourage Marylanders to Vote By Mail in November
ANNAPOLIS, MDGovernor Larry Hogan today provided an update to Marylanders on the state’s ongoing COVID-19 response and recovery, stressing the need for continued caution and vigilance. The governor was joined by Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) State Superintendent Dr. Karen Salmon, who announced that MSDE will extend flexibility to local school systems to determine re-openings while instituting guardrails and protocols for in-person instruction.
“I want to make very clear to the people of Maryland again that this crisis is not over and your actions may help determine whether we see a resurgence of the virus here in Maryland,” said Governor Hogan. “As we have from the beginning, we will continue to follow the advice of our doctors and public health experts, and we will not hesitate to take statewide actions if and when we deem them to be necessary.”
SCHOOLS UPDATE. Dr. Salmon announced that local school systems will have the flexibility to determine, in consultation with their local health officers, how they will open and which groups of students and staff will be able to re-enter school buildings. Depending on conditions in their locality, school systems may be more restrictive than the requirements outlined in the state’s recovery plan.
“We want to get our students back to school as soon as possible for in-person instruction, and this should be the driving goal and the basis for all of our decisions,” said Dr. Salmon. “However, the imminent safety and health of students and staff must, and always will be, the first priority.”
Within the framework of local control, MSDE will set a series of guardrails for school systems:
  • All systems must follow CDC guidelines for schools, which stress the importance of handwashing, physical distancing, and cloth face coveringsFace coverings must be worn by all staff and students, particularly when physical distancing is not possible.
  • All school systems must adhere to protocols instituted by state health officials for addressing an outbreak. Schools should provide written notification and next steps to all identified contacts. Schools should follow instructions from the local health department for all matters regarding quarantine, exclusion, and return to school for persons with a positive test for COVID-19 and those who had close contact.
  • All school systems must meet a series of benchmarks before reopening:
    • Incorporate equity as a component in the local recovery plan;
    • Establish local education recovery stakeholder groups;
    • Identify learning gaps and instructional placement of students;
    • Follow and maintain curricular frameworks and Maryland College and Career Ready Standards;
    • Adhere to components of IDEA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and ADA;
    • Adopt and follow health procedures outlined by the MSDE, MDH, and CDC, including cleaning and sanitization;
    • Ensure safe transportation for all students;
    • Develop a system for tracking attendance; and
    • Follow the Maryland Public Secondary Sports Athletic Association guidance for interscholastic athletics and activities.
COVID-19 UPDATES. Unlike many states across the nation, Maryland’s COVID-19 positivity rate continues to remain low and stable. The statewide seven-day positivity rate is now 4.49%, a decline of nearly 83% since it peaked at 26.91% on April 17.
Testing. In total, Maryland has now conducted 1,000,179 COVID-19 tests and is consistently reporting roughly 20,000 tests every day. 20 out of the state’s 24 jurisdictions have met the goal of testing at least 10% of their population.
The dramatic rise in infection rates in other states has significantly increased the national demand for testing and caused delays of up to 10 days at commercial labs across the country, including in Maryland. In response, the governor announced the following:
  • The LabGun COVID-19 test kits acquired from LabGenomics, a South Korean company, continue to be the centerpiece of the state’s long-term testing strategy.
  • Last month, the state opened a signature lab at the University of Maryland, Baltimore, which is now staffed up and fully operational to utilize the LabGenomics tests. Unlike many commercial labs, this facility is reporting test results in just 24-48 hours and utilizing several thousand tests per day.
  • The state is on track to have an adequate supply of tests through the end of November, in accordance with Maryland’s long-term testing strategy, but is prepared to take additional actions, if necessary, in response to outbreaks, shortages, and delays in other states.
Out-of-State Travel. State health officials are closely monitoring spiking numbers in states across the region and states further south and west of Maryland’s borders.
  • Marylanders should refrain from traveling to areas that are experiencing rapidly escalating numbers. Anyone who does travel out of state should immediately get tested and self-quarantine while awaiting test results.
Safer At Home Guidance. The governor continues to advise Marylanders to heed all state and local public health guidance:
  • Wear masks or face coverings in public areas, businesses, and on public transportation.
  • All Marylanders are still safer at home, particularly older and more vulnerable populations.
  • Employers should continue to encourage telework for their employees whenever possible.
  • Do not use public transportation unless it is absolutely necessary.
  • Practice physical distancing, staying six feet apart when possible, and avoiding all large gatherings.
Local Enforcement. The governor continued to press local leaders to actively and aggressively enforce the public health measures already in place, especially in bars and restaurants across their counties, and commended Montgomery County for cracking down on those businesses that were flagrantly violating health orders.
It is the responsibility of county officials to get their local health departments, local liquor boards and inspectors, and local law enforcement agencies to work together to enforce the following:
  • Bars and restaurants in Maryland are permitted to be open for seated service only, with strict physical distancing and capacity restrictions.
  • Customers must be seated at least 6-feet apart from other guests.
  • Standing in bar areas is strictly prohibited.
Contact Tracing. The governor again reminded Marylanders that contact tracing is key to stopping the spread of COVID-19. Maryland’s contact tracing operation has increased by 440% since its launch in April.
  • From June 11 to July 18, the state’s contact tracers consistently conducted outreach to more than 80% of confirmed COVID-19 cases within 24 hours of the case being entered into COVIDLink, Maryland’s state-of-the-art data management platform.
  • Contact tracers have been successful in reaching nearly 75% percent of cases.
  • Marylanders are encouraged to cooperate with the state’s contact tracing efforts by answering calls from ‘MD COVID,’ or (240) 466-4888. Learn more about COVIDLink and contact tracing in Maryland here.
ELECTION UPDATEGovernor Hogan addressed concerns about the State Board of Elections’ preparations for the November general election, which will follow CDC guidance and give voters as many options as possible, including early voting and absentee voting by mail. The governor called on leaders in both parties to join him in strongly encouraging Marylanders to vote by mail.

House Conservatives Launch Revolt Against Liz Cheney, Draw High-Profile GOP Support

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) — a Freedom Caucus co-founder, one of Trump’s top allies in the House, and the House Judiciary Committee ranking member — called out Cheney for the several times she opposed Trump, according to Politico.

Jordan said that Cheney’s rebukes of Trump, which includes the president’s handling of the coronavirus outbreak, his Twitter account, and his plans to withdraw from Afghanistan, do not help House Republicans.

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ), the House Freedom Caucus chairman, also accused Cheney of undermining the president’s ability to win back the House and charged that she should keep her criticisms of the president private.

“Dick Cheney says WEAR A MASK. #realmenwearmasks,” Cheney wrote, tweeting a picture of former Vice President Dick Cheney, using the same phrase that Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) used to attack the president.

Customers across the US have been gradually returning to the nation's shopping malls as stores and restaurants opened up over the last couple of months.

'Foot traffic is down 80 to 90 per cent in New York City,' Lawrence Berger, chairman of sports merchandise retailer Lids, told MailOnline. 'It is not a minor outlier it’s like nothing we’ve never seen before. It is just absolutely dead.'

Philly DA Says He'll Prosecute Trump 'Stormtroopers' Sent To Control BLM Chaos

Philadelphia's top prosecutor says he's ready to 'fight fascism' and will take legal action against federal law enforcement officers sent to enforce the law as BLM protests continue to rage across the city.

"My dad volunteered and served in World War II to fight fascism, like most of my uncles, so we would not have an American president brutalizing and kidnapping Americans for exercising their constitutional rights and trying to make America a better place, which is what patriots do," Philadelphia DA Larry Krasner told Bloomberg CityLab in an interview published Wednesday.

"Anyone, including federal law enforcement, who unlawfully assaults and kidnaps people will face criminal charges from my office," he added.

President Trump suggested this week that he would deploy federal agents in New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, Baltimore and Milwaukee after Homeland Security officers were deployed to Portland, Oregon - where they came under fire for grabbing protesters off the street and detaining them in what Trump described as a "fantastic job."

Trump says the troops are necessary to maintain order and protect federal property, in what Elizabeth Goitein of the Brennan Center for Justice said was a pretext to have federal agents supplant local police.

In short, the use of a secret federal paramilitary force in Portland (and soon Chicago and likely other cities) is every bit the abuse of power that it appears to be. And it’s an abuse we can expect to see again in November if the administration isn’t called to account. 14/14— Elizabeth Goitein (@LizaGoitein) July 21, 2020

Suspect of shooting at NJ judge’s home is tied to killing of California lawyer, FBI says

The victim in the California homicide, Marc Angelucci, was killed in his home by a gunman posing as delivery driver

FBI investigators told Fox News Wednesday that they “have evidence” linking the women-hating lawyer suspected of killing a judge's son in New Jersey to the murder of a men's rights attorney in California.

“As the FBI continues the investigation into the attack at the home of U.S. District Court Judge Esther Salas (District of New Jersey), we are now engaged with the San Bernardino California Sheriff’s Office and have evidence linking the murder of Marc Angelucci to FBI Newark subject Roy Den Hollander,” the bureau said. “This investigation is ongoing.”

FBI agents believe Hollander, 69, a Manhattan attorney and self-described anti-feminist, posed as a delivery driver on Sunday when he went to Salas' home. He killed her son and wounded her husband.

Indoor face mask order takes effect Thursday in Baltimore County

BALTIMORE — Starting Thursday morning, Baltimore County residents must wear face masks while indoors as the number of coronavirus cases continues to increase.

Local leaders are reviewing whether adjustments are needed when it comes to the easing of coronavirus restrictions as 860 new coronavirus cases were reported Tuesday in Maryland.

Maryland is reporting a statewide positivity rate of 4.49%. There is an uptick in total hospitalizations: the number of acute care beds are up and intensive care beds were generally flat.

"It is more critical than ever for Marylanders to remain vigilant and take precautions to slow the spread," Gov. Larry Hogan tweeted Tuesday morning.

Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski said the county is testing thousands of residents per day, and finding a growing number of cases.

"Over the last week or so, it has become clear across the country and here in Maryland and in Baltimore County, our COVID numbers are no longer trending in the right direction," Olszewski said.

Executive Bob Culver Announces Federal Aviation Administration Acceptance of Airport Master Plan for Salisbury-Ocean City-Wicomico Regional Airport

On July 7, 2020, the Salisbury-Ocean City-Wicomico Regional Airport received notification from the U. S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of their approval of the Airport Layout Plan (ALP) and acceptance of the Airport Master Plan narrative that was prepared by Delta Airport Consultants in coordination with the airport. The Airport Master Plan serves as a comprehensive plan for overall development of the airport campus.

The main focus of the plan concentrates on extending the primary runway up to 7800 feet in length to support current operations by Piedmont Airlines that are weight restricted due to the existing 6400 foot runway. Future operational benefits will also be realized once the construction has been completed.

The Airport Master Plan outlines both near-term and longer- range airport development based on forecasting data as well as input from the airport, its' users, and the community it serves. Development in the next twenty years included projects such as a new Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting facility, a new airport maintenance and equipment storage building, new hangars for storage of private or corporate aircraft, a new fuel farm, aircraft cargo, maintenance, and manufacturing facilities, expanded parking, solar generation sites, and new taxiways and aircraft parking areas.

To expedite the runway extension project, the airport is currently preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) to evaluate the potential environmental impacts of the proposed development. Construction could then begin upon preparation of a final EA document and issuance of a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) by the FAA, and the acquisition of the required federal, state and local permits and approvals. The EA is to be prepared in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and local and state environmental regulations.

Wicomico County Extends its gratitude to Federal and State officials who were supportive during Master Planning process.

Virtual Learning

Online learning sounds great until you really think about it. I have grandchildren in another school district and their mother had the following conversation with the school board.

Mother: Do you expect my children to sit in front of a computer monitor for seven hours a day?

School board: No. There will be regular breaks for bathroom time, lunch and recess. Your child will only be in front of the computer for about five hours per day.

Mother: But I have three children in three different grades. How is that going to work?

School board: You will have to purchase two additional computers. Each student must have their own computer and monitor.

Mother: But we live in a rural area with questionable broadband service. I doubt that our internet service provider can provide enough bandwidth. And, by the way, what happens to the board's server when all these students log on at the same time? Will your server crash?

School board: We didn't think about that.

Governors Hogan And Cuomo Urge Senate to Approve State Stabilization Funding In COVID-19 Relief Bill

‘Fight The Virus Together And Make An Economic Recovery A Reality’
WASHINGTON–Governors Larry Hogan of Maryland, the National Governors Association chair, and Andrew Cuomo of New York, the NGA vice chair, issued the following statement about the need for state stabilization funding in the next COVID-19 relief bill:
“It has been over four months since the governors began to lead the coronavirus response in America – through implementing functioning testing programs and by slowing the spread through socially responsible but economically devastating closures of schools and businesses. To protect against the global pandemic, states shut down parts of our economies. The consequence has been a catastrophic loss of hundreds of billions of dollars to state budgets. The rapid economic downturn has left no region of the country untouched and has stressed every aspect of state delivery of critical needs and services to residents. In order to support states in the continuing pandemic response, a $500 billion state stabilization fund must be included in any COVID-19 relief package from the Senate.
“States are ground zero in this fight. We provide the critical services Americans depend on, including public safety, education, health care, food assistance, local aid and transportation. We also employ more than 20 million people across the country. And yet, of the $3 trillion in aid from four relief packages, no unrestricted federal support to stabilize state budgets and account for the economic loss states face as a direct result to fight COVID-19 has ever been included.
“Governors, by law, must balance our budgets each year. Given the sharp drop in economic activity as a direct result of the pandemic economic shutdown and the corresponding reduction in tax receipts, state budgets are in tatters. Governors have already cut budgets and reduced our payrolls by 1.5 million people, but without Senate action, we will need to make steeper cuts and reduce payrolls even more, at precisely the time when these services are needed most.
“As states follow safe and responsible reopenings, we cannot imperil our economic recovery efforts by slashing state programs that pay our teachers, firefighters, health care and front-line workers. To protect our economy and keep the recovery going forward, Congress must provide states with $500 billion in unrestricted assistance, and an increase of Federal Medical Assistance Percentage (FMAP) to 12 percent.
“We need the Senate’s strong support now, so we can fight the virus together and make economic recovery a reality.”

Oklahoma DA slaps teens with terrorism charges, accuses BLM of intimidating officers, protecting criminals

'When you employ these tactics for a political purpose, you are a terrorist,' Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater said.

Two teenagers are the latest to face terrorism charges after allegedly helping to break in the windows of an Oklahoma City bail bonds business in late May during the civil unrestthat swept the nation in the wake of the death of George Floyd in police custody in Minneapolis.

Several dozen protesters conducted a sit-in at the office of Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater on Monday to demand that he drop the terrorism charges and resign. But Prater maintained last week that those who incite violence in the streets are “criminals” who “have subverted peaceful protests and impaired the open discussion regarding race in our country.”

“When you employ these tactics for a political purpose, you are a terrorist,” he said.

Redskins Change Name To "The Washington Football Team" For 2020-2021 Season

After years of controversy, the NFL team formerly known as the Washington Redskins has finally abandoned its moniker, simultaneously beloved by its fandom and loathed by white progressives and SJWs across the US. But with the 2020-2021 season just a month away, the team has decided that - until a more suitable name can be chosen - it will be going by "the Washington Football Team."

Effective immediately, Washington will call itself the “Washington Football Team”, pending adoption of a new name, sources tell ESPN.

This is not a final renaming and rebranding for team; this is the name it wants to use until pending adoption of a new name in the future. pic.twitter.com/sBs0Uo0ICm— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) July 23, 2020

The team confirmed the decision in a tweet.

It begins here... pic.twitter.com/CHCCZ64W81— Washington Football Team (@WashingtonNFL) July 23, 2020

The team added that it's still in the process of "retiring" its former name; it's hoping to have scrubbed the moniker from all physical and digital spaces belonging to the team within 50 days, hopefully before the team's Sept. 13 regular-season opener against Philly.

Starbucks Employee Criminally Charged For Spitting Into Coffee Of Police Officer

Kevin Trejo, 21, of Westwood, New Jersey has been arrested for the disgusting alleged act of spiting into the coffee of a police officer at Starbucks. What is interesting is the array of the charges fired against the now former barista. In an interview on Fox, Park Ridge, New Jersey Lt. James Babcock said that they confirmed that the act occurred and that they were told that Trejo had done it repeatedly with officers. Babcock said that Trejo claimed to have only done it once.

Presumably, someone spotted the act given the open preparation area of Starbucks.

According to the police press release, the police hit Trejo with three charges for subjecting a law enforcement officer to bodily fluid, purposely tampering with a law enforcement officer’s drink and creating a hazardous environment. Those charges seem completely overlapping in charging the same act three times.

The tampering charge is relatively straight forward.

2C:40-17 Tampering, degree of offense; sentencing requirements.

2. a. Except as provided in subsection b. of this section, a person who knowingly tampers with a cosmetic, drug or food product is guilty of a crime of the third degree, except that nothing herein shall be deemed to preclude a charge for a greater crime under any other provision of Title 2C of the New Jersey Statutes.

Trump orders 150 federal agents into Chicago despite city's mayor Lori Lightfoot rejecting it as 'unconstitutional conduct' amid accusations of 'secret police' tactics in Portland

The White House cast aside protests from local government officials Tuesday about the deployment of armed federal officers to quell protests inside cities that say they don't want assistance as President Trump demands 'law and order.'

The administration is planning to send 150 federal agents to combat violence in Chicago, but for now is not saying which agency they will come from or what their mission will be.

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany provided a legal justification for sending Homeland Security officials to Portland, pointing to a statute that allows the feds to deputize officials to protect federal property, following a clash at a federal courthouse in Portland.

Unsigned, Unsealed, and Undelivered: The Perils of Mail-in Ballots

It's a "myth," USA Today insists. "Rare," writes NPR. Either way, the New York Times argues, "it doesn't affect elections." That's interesting, the Heritage Foundation points out. Because they've counted more than 1,285 cases of this rare myth of voter fraud that doesn't affect elections in the last four years -- and they're convinced: that's not all of them.

Cheaters have prospered -- and they'll continue to prosper -- voters worry, if the Left's campaign for universal mail-in balloting succeeds. According to a new Washington Post/ABC News poll, a plurality of Americans worry that the Democrats' idea makes the election "vulnerable to significant levels of fraud." A majority of them -- 60 percent -- want to vote in person this November, the latest sign that George Soros's plan to steal the election isn't fair or popular.

With more than 70 lawsuits underway in states across the country, Democrats seem intent on forcing their way to a different system. But, as Hans von Spakovsky pointed out with Sarah Perry on "Washington Watch" last month, that won't score them any political points. This isn't a partisan issue anywhere except DNC headquarters. By and large, every American wants some form of election integrity, and this system -- which we already know from this year's primaries and local elections -- is ripe for abuse.

"If you talk to liberal activists and liberal leaders of the Democratic Party, they're all against voter I.D. If you actually look at the polling, you find that everyday folks -- no matter whether they're Republican, Democrat, Independent, no matter whether they're white, black, Asian, Hispanic -- a majority of them say voter I.D. [makes sense]. So their constituents don't agree with the views of their leadership." The same goes for voter fraud, he said. In the polling he did for his book with John Fund, "we found that African-Americans were more concerned about voter fraud in communities than other voters."

His comments came amid news that House conservatives criticized Chairwoman Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., for appearing to oppose President Trump on issues surrounding the coronavirus response.

"We already have one Mitt Romney, we don’t need another... we also don’t need the endless wars she advocates for," Trump Jr. said, referring to the Utah Republican senator.

Top Biden communications aide has history of sexist Twitter posts

Posts are the latest example of a top Biden staffer undercutting the former vice president's messaging

EXCLUSIVE: Joe Biden's head of strategic communications, Kamau M. Marshall, has repeatedly posted sexist messages on social media over the past decade, beginning with a Christmas Eve 2011 tweet in which he expressed his affection for "power women" – as long as she "know[s] her place" and he can "where [sic] the pants."

The social media posts are the latest example of a top Biden staffer undercutting the former vice president's public messaging. On Friday, Fox News reported that a supervising videographer on the campaign, Sara Pearl, openly called for defunding the police and tweeted a meme mocking officers as worse than "pigs" – even as Biden says he only wants some money redirected from police departments.

Within minutes of this story's publication, Marshall deleted many of the tweets cited in this article, but Fox News retained screenshots. The Biden team has declined to offer any comment on the posts by either Marshall and Pearl, and Marshall did not respond to an emailed request for comment prior to this story's publication.

Unlike Pearl's messages, Marshall's posts are from a senior campaign official – and appear to be part of a long-running pattern.

Japan reports record 795 new daily virus cases amid resurgence

TOKYO - Japan on Wednesday reported a record of 795 new daily coronavirus infections, exceeding the previous single-day high set in April, as the country battles a resurgence of the virus after it lifted a state of emergency less than two months ago.

The figure brings the nationwide tally to over 27,800, including some 700 from the Diamond Princess, the cruise ship quarantined in Yokohama in February.

Since the nationwide state of emergency was entirely lifted in late May, there has been a surge in the number of new infections particularly in Tokyo's nightlife establishments such as hostess and host bars, as well as other urban areas across Japan.

Tokyo Gov. Yuriko Koike urged its residents to avoid nonessential outings during the upcoming four-day holiday as Tokyo's cumulative coronavirus cases topped the 10,000 mark.

Yes, Anti-Semite Linda Sarsour Endorsing Joe Biden Is a Huge Problem for Democrats

Yesterday, presumed Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden took part in a call with Emgage Action, a far left political action committee, to drum up support for his White House bid from Muslim Americans.

The call, referred to as the Million Muslim Votes Summit, took place virtually and featured progressive Muslim voices that have been supportive of Biden and other Democrats. Emgage Action describes themselves as a "membership based 501c(4) that seeks to mobilize American Muslims to advocate for issues that define who American Muslims are by what they stand for."

The group, in partnership with their sister non-profit Emgage Foundation, primarily work to increase visibility for Muslims running for public office. In the case of Biden, whom they officially endorsed in April, they conceded to endorse the white guy less likely to ban Muslims from entering the country. Their exuberance for Biden, however, has been lackluster since he overtook Socialist Bernie Sanders as the most likely Democratic candidate.

No Longer Possible to Be a Democrat and Support Free Speech

For freedom's sake, be offensive. Not rude. Not malicious. But free enough with your thoughts that they are still your thoughts and not the programmed left-speak that is constantly in flux but thoroughly enforced.

A generation ago, Americans would preface a potentially offensive statement with a quick declaration — "this isn't politically correct, but" — before charging forth with what was on their minds. It was a brilliant idiom that contrasted the communist control of language with an American's freedom of speech but still demonstrated the speaker's awareness that what was being said might not appeal to every listener. Today, when a boss or college admissions board or social media enforcer says something is politically incorrect, it means you've been fired or rejected for having thoughts that do not conform. What not long ago was spot-on American irony is now reality. "This isn't politically correct, but..." is now firmly answered, "Then you probably shouldn't say it." Say it anyway.

A generation before that, it was the listener, not the speaker, who insisted on candor. If an American waded into uncomfortable conversation and uttered something like, "I don't know if you're gonna want to hear what I have to say," the person most likely to be offended was often the first to respond, "Well, it's a free country, isn't it?" You can't have a free country if you can't first accept that freedom comes with hearing things you'd prefer not to hear. Freely expressed ideas, no matter how offensive, are at the root of all freedom. You don't hear "it's a free country" much anymore; speak freely anyway.

"He Sits At Home Smoking Weed": Desperate Landlord Seeks Advice On What To Do With Broke And Unemployed Tenant

Back before the days of "social justice" and the pandemic, when you had a tenant that didn't pay the rent, the consequences were simple: you would evict them. But nowadays - where everybody is criticized for being insensitive about everything and feelings matter more than facts (and certainly more than our economy) - one landlord felt so sufficiently confused about what to do with his deadbeat tenant, he had to write to MarketWatch's Moneyist column for advice.

"I have rented a house behind my own home to someone in the service industry who is out of a job because of COVID-19, and now he can’t pay the full rent," the letter says.

Then, he talks about how he is slaving away, hustling to handle his own personal financial situation while handing a pass to his tenant, ostensibly because he feels guilty: "I am fortunate enough to still have a job, but I am heavily in debt with student loans, my mortgage, and other bills. I work very hard, including early and late hours and weekends. I have referred my tenant to companies hiring during COVID-19, but he isn’t interested or says it pays too low."

The landlord then notes that no matter what type of help he has offered his tenant, he is just "always smoking weed": "Instead, he is hanging out with friends or his girlfriend, and always smoking weed. He tells me I should forgive or discount the rent. It should be noted that he is already getting a discount since the rent is well below market price."

Trump baits a trap for Biden

The big news from President Trump’s weekend interview with Fox’s Chris Wallace is that Wallace challenged Trump’s contention that Biden has agreed to defund the police. (Trump is right; Wallace is wrong. Just saying.) What got some press, although not as much, is Trump’s claim that the standard cognitive test he took was “very hard.” Wallace smugly countered this assertion, as did every Democrat. Trump, of course, will have the last laugh because he’s forcing Biden to take the test.

During the interview with Wallace, Trump pushed hard about Biden’s mental competence (emphasis mine):

TRUMP: And you know why I won’t lose, because the country in the end, they’re not going to have a man who – who’s shot. He’s shot, he’s mentally shot. Let him come out of his basement, go around, I’ll make four or five speeches a day, I’ll be interviewed by you, I’ll be interviewed by the worst killers that hate my – my guts. They hate my guts. There’s nothing they can ask me that I won’t give them a proper answer to. Some people will like it, some people won’t like it.

WALLACE: I agree with that.

TRUMP: But look –

Yale Epidemiologist: Hydroxychloroquine Could Save 100,000 Lives If Widely Deployed

Yale epidemiology professor Dr. Harvey Risch told Fox News's "Ingraham Angle" that he thinks hydroxychloroquine could save 75,000 to 100,000 lives if widely used to treat COVID-19, and that it's unfortunate that a "propaganda war" has been waged on the commonly prescribed drug which is not based on "medical facts."

"There are many doctors that I’ve gotten hostile remarks about saying that all the evidence is bad for it and, in fact, that is not true at all," Risch said on Monday, adding that he believes the drug should be used as a prophylactic for front-line healthcare workers, as has been done in India.

Researchers at the Henry Ford Health System in Southeast Michigan have found that early administration of hydroxychloroquine makes hospitalized patients substantially less likely to die.

The study, published in the International Journal of Infectious Diseases, determined that hydroxychloroquine provided a "66 percent hazard ratio reduction," and hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin a 71 percent reduction, compared with neither treatment.

In-hospital mortality was 18.1 percent overall; 13.5 percent with just hydroxychloroquine, 22.4 percent with azithromycin alone, and 26.4 percent with neither drug. "Prospective trials are needed" for further review, the researchers note, even as they concluded: "In this multi-hospital assessment, when controlling for COVID-19 risk factors, treatment with hydroxychloroquine alone and in combination with azithromycin was associated with reduction in COVID-19 associated mortality." -Fox News

Ohio House Speaker Arrested In $60M Bribery Scheme Which Added New Fee To Every Electricity Bill In State

A massive corruption scandal being described as the "largest bribery, money-laundering scheme ever perpetrated against the people of the state of Ohio" — to the tune of $60 million, has just rocked the Buckeye state.

On Tuesday the Republican Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder along with four others were arrested for being allegedly part of a scheme to pass legislation for a billion dollar bailout of two failed Ohio nuclear plants which were on the brink of permanent closure. Householder is widely looked upon as Ohio's third most powerful and influential lawmaker.

Federal agents raided his farm Tuesday morning and made the arrest. The AP has described the top Ohio lawmaker as a "driving force" behind the uphill battle to controversially bail out the state's two nuclear power plants at a significant expense to taxpayers.

The war on Western civilization

Exclusive: Jerry Newcombe notes growing attacks on symbols of the Judeo-Christian tradition

During one of the darkest periods of World War II, Winston Churchill asked aloud, "Will Britain surrender too?" Never.

At the time, in the summer and fall of 1940, the great leader of the U.K. declared, "I expect that the Battle of Britain is about to begin. Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilization."

Churchill, the great lion of the 20th century, understood that if the Nazis won, they would usher in a period of unparalleled darkness. But thank God, "Christian civilization" won.
