Republicans Nominate Hillary Clinton To Run Against Them In 2020
WASHINGTON, D.C.—At a special Republican convention convened over the weekend, the GOP named Hillary Clinton their official choice to run against Donald Trump in 2020.
It's not typical for a political party to nominate the opposing candidate, but in this case, Republicans claimed they "just couldn't pass up" the opportunity to ensure Clinton wins the DNC nomination. As such, the GOP voted in a landslide to nominate Hillary Clinton to run against Trump, with a rare unanimous vote from delegates to the convention.
"Please, Hillary. Please accept our nomination to run against Trump. We're begging you," RNC chair Ronna McDaniel said in a speech. "Oh man, that would be amazing." The crowd cheered, chanting, "Clinton! Clinton!" as party officials passed out "I'm With Her" swag to the gathered Republican representatives.
Meanwhile, Democrat leaders took a preliminary vote over whether or not Hillary should run in 2020, with the vast majority being opposed and Hillary Clinton being in favor.

A Viewer Writes: Michelle Obama plugging her book
Did anyone watch Michelle Obama plugging her book on TV. She is the lowest of any First Lady we have ever had in the white house. She put down Trump complaining about him and his conduct in office compared to the GREAT OBAMA's ASS. She also put down the current 1st lady she stated how nice Barbara Bush was to reach out to her when Obama took office. But stated she never heard from Melania but did't state she had ever reached out to her as she had received , but was making it sound like she should have been the one contacted. Wouldn't you think if Michelle was a decent person which we know she's not she could have reached out when Trump's youngest son was being made fun of by the media, and the slander that was done to one so young. She would have felt different if it had been the Obama princesses. She's as hateful and prejudiced as anyone I have ever seen reside at the White House, what a disgusting piece of trash and so is her book.
Not My Netflix or Yoga: Voters Make Arizona the Second State to Ban Service Taxes
As service taxes gain favor as a way to raise revenue, there's a growing movement to stop them. Voters in Arizona joined it on Tuesday.
It’s already rather difficult to pass a tax hike in Arizona. Now voters have completely eliminated one option for lawmakers by approving an outright ban on taxing services.
By a margin of two to one, voters opted to make Arizona the second state in the country to pass such a ban. Missouri passed a similar ban two years ago. Both initiatives wereheavily funded by real estate associations in each state.
Arizona’s ban comes as more governments are looking to expand their sales tax base to include services such as Netflix and yoga classes. Already, half of the states tax gym classes or memberships, while places like Chicago, Florida and Pennsylvania have all started taxing online streaming services in recent years.

Grassley Has Trump’s Back On Roberts Rebuke — ‘I Don’t Recall The Chief Attacking Obama’
GOP Senator Chuck Grassley came to President Trump’s defense on Wednesday after Chief Justice John Roberts rebuked the president for criticizing the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
“I think it’s a disgrace when every case gets filed in the 9th Circuit,” Trump said, responding to a California judge’s decision against his administration’s asylum rules. “That’s not law, that’s not what this country stands for. Every case that gets filed in the 9th Circuit, we get beaten and then we end up having to go to the Supreme Court, like the travel ban, and we won.”
Roberts responded the next day in a statement to the Associated Press:
We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges. What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them. That independent judiciary is something we should all be thankful for.
Soon after, the Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman used Twitter to jump into the fray and remind everyone that Trump wasn’t the first president to criticize a judge with regard to a ruling — even a Supreme Court ruling.
“Chief Justice Roberts rebuked Trump for a comment he made abt judge’s decision on asylum,” Grassley tweeted. “I don’t recall the Chief attacking Obama when that Prez rebuked Alito during a State of the Union.”

Subject: Georgia murder suspect taunts alleged victim's family, 'Do you believe in God?'
A murder suspect taunted the alleged victim's family members in a Georgia courtroom on Wednesday, asking them, "Do you believe in God."
The judge stepped in and told Jerome Daniel Colvin that he is not allowed to talk with "folks in the court."
Jerome Daniel Colvin, 34, is accused of gunning down Allen Craig Willard Jr., 25, a National Guard member, in broad daylight on a Buford, Ga., street on Tuesday, Atlanta's WXIA-TV reported. Police believe Colvin and the victim knew each other from work and were having lunch nearby when they got into an altercation, the station reported. It's unclear what led to the dispute, police said.
Colvin is charged with felony murder, malice murder and aggravated assault.
He remains held without bond at the Gwinnett County Jail.

Germany: Afghan Migrant Cuts Throat of 85-Year-Old Pensioner
Murder victim slaughtered in his own bed
An 85-year-old pensioner was killed in his own bed after an Afghan migrant slit his throat in the eastern German town of Wittenburg.
The culprit, a 20-year-old rejected asylum seeker, was hired to to take care of the victim’s house and garden by the pensioner’s daughter, who had met him while volunteering at a local refugee shelter.
A Bosnian man who also lived in the house witnessed the victim’s final moments via a baby monitor. At first, he didn’t suspect foul play and thought that the migrant was merely tucking in the old man. However, when the victim gasped, he knew that a violent attack had occurred.
The culprit fled the scene but was detained 60 kilometres away at the state border. He was initially admitted to a hospital for hypothermia but when doctors noted that the man had no personal documents, they called the police. The man was arrested after his fingerprints matched those in the police database.

SAD BUT TRUE
Time is like a river. You cannot touch the water twice, because the
flow that has passed will never pass again. Franklin Graham was
speaking at the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida, when he said America will not come back. He wrote:
"The American dream ended on November 6th, 2012. The second term of Barack Obama has been the final nail in the coffin for the legacy of the white Christian males who discovered, explored, pioneered, settled and developed the greatest republic in the history of mankind. A coalition of blacks, Latinos, feminists, gays, government workers, union members, environmental extremists, the media, Hollywood, uninformed young people, the "forever needy," the chronically unemployed, illegal aliens and other "fellow travelers" have ended Norman Rockwell's America.
You will never again out-vote these people. It will take individual
acts of defiance and massive displays of civil disobedience to get
back the rights we have allowed them to take away. It will take
zealots, not moderates and shy, not reach-across-the-aisle RINOs
to right this ship and restore our beloved country to its former status.
People like me are completely politically irrelevant, and I will
probably never again be able to legally comment on or concern
myself with the aforementioned coalition which has surrendered our
culture, our heritage and our traditions without a shot being fired.

Trump Is Leaning On Congress To Rid Federal Forests Of Fire Risks
The Trump administration is asking Congress to expand executive authority over federal forestland so agencies may streamline regulations on forest management.
“We are asking Congress for the authority to streamline [forest management] projects on federal land and expand other authorities to improve access roads for firefighters and protect towns located in or near forests,” Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke tweeted Wednesday.
Zinke also shared a picture of a section of trees in the Helena National Forest in Montana that had been killed by bark beetles. The dead grove of trees is an “added risk for fire,” Zinke said.

Islamists are 'hunting door to door' to try and find Pakistani Christian mother cleared of blasphemy as they continue to demand her death
The family of Asia Bibi, a Christian who was recently acquitted after spending eight years on death row for insulting the Prophet Muhammad, have said they are being stalked by Islamists calling for their murder.
Bibi was cleared of blasphemy byPakistan's Supreme Court three weeks ago, but has been forced to remain in protective custody ever since after the ruling prompted an outcry among ultra-religious Muslims calling for her execution.
Her family are also in hiding but are reportedly constantly on the move to avoid the band of extremists who are pursuing them and even going door-to-door with their photographs.
Her legal team and supporters are also in danger and although several countries - including Spain, France and Canda - have indicated a willingness to offer them asylum, nothing has yet materialized.
John Pontifex, of Aid to the Church in Need UK (ACN) who has supported Bibi since her blasphemy conviction in 2010, told the Guardian that the family is extremely frightened.

Soda is worse for you than sugary food
Artificially sweetened drinks put people at a greater risk of developing type 2 diabetes than other sugary foods, a new study warns.
Products with added fructose introduce excess 'nutrient poor' energy into our diet, researchers found - inflicting a harmful effect on blood sugar levels.
The Canadian research team found no risk associated with food and drinks that have naturally-occurring fructose - such as whole fruits, vegetables, natural fruit juices and honey.
However, sweet drinks do something different: they are made with ingredients that powercharge the fructose, sending our blood sugar levels wild.

Hillary Clinton Says Europe Needs to Cut Immigration to Kill Populism
Failed U.S. presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has said Europe should send signals that it will cut immigration, in order to combat the rise of populist parties.
In an interview with Britain’s left-wing newspaper The Guardian, Clinton said that while she admired “the very generous and compassionate approaches” taken on mass migration from the third world, “particularly by leaders like Angela Merkel”, globalist parties in Europe need to change tack in order to maintain voters’ confidence in centrist politics.
“[European politicians] must send a very clear message – ‘we are not going to be able [to] continue to provide refuge and support’ – because if we don’t deal with the migration issue it will continue to roil the body politic,” she said.

Suspect is arrested 45 YEARS after the murder of a 21-year-old woman using genealogy website
A 74-year-old man has been arrested for a murder committed 45 years ago after his DNA was submitted to a public genealogical website.
John Arthur Getreu, from Hayward in Alameda County, was brought in on suspicion of killing of 21-year-old Leslie Perlov in Palo Alto on Tuesday.
Perlov, who was 21 when she died, was last seen at her place of work as a law clerk at around 3pm on February 13 1973.
The victim's orange Chevy Nova was discovered the day she died abandoned at the entrance of an old quarry near Stanford University's campus, where she had recently graduated from.
Three days later her body was discovered by officers under a tree at the side of a mountain west of Stanford.
Perlov's death was ruled a homicide following an autopsy, due to the fact she had been strangled and left with a pair of tights stuffed into her mouth.

Chief Justice Roberts chides Trump: No such thing as 'Obama judges'
Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. issued a striking rebuff to President Trump on Wednesday, saying there is no such thing as “Obama judges or Trump judges” and insisting the country’s federal judges uphold their independence from politics.
The scolding — unprecedented for Chief Justice Roberts — took the legal world by surprise and irked Mr. Trump, who responded with a barrage of tweets defending his complaints about anti-Trump judges and telling the judiciary’s leader that his underlings are threatening the country’s security with their rulings.
“Sorry Chief Justice John Roberts, but you do indeed have ‘Obama judges,’ and they have a much different point of view than the people who are charged with the safety of our country,” the president tweeted Wednesday.
Mr. Trump took to Twitter Thursday morning again in response to Chief Justice Roberts’ rebuke.

Politicians & Police Set Tyranny's Perfect Example: Gun Confiscation
As a review of some of the current events that have been taking place in the U.S. recently, on 11/5/18, Anne Arundel County Police in Maryland shot and killed a man as they attempted to exercise a “red flag” gun removal order.
Those “red flag” orders went into effect on October 1 of this year. Let’s take the definition of this new “game” directly from Wikipedia and examine it:
A red flag law is a “gun violence protection” law that permits police or family members to petition a state court to order the temporary removal of firearms from a person who may present a danger to others or themselves. A judge makes the determination to issue the order based on statements and actions made by the gun owner in question. After a set time, the guns are returned to the person from whom they were seized unless another court hearing extends the period of confiscation. Such orders are known as “Extreme Risk Protection Orders” (ERPO) in Oregon, Washington, Maryland, and Vermont, as “Risk Protection Orders” in Florida as “Gun Violence Restraining Orders” in California; as “risk warrants” in Connecticut; and as “Proceedings for the Seizure and Retention of a Firearm” in Indiana.
Returning to the incident in Maryland, take a look at this excerpt from CBS News from 11/6/18:
Neither of the officers were injured. Their names weren’t released.
It wasn’t clear why the “red flag” order was issued. A spokeswoman for the Maryland Judiciary denied a request from the Baltimore Sun to release protection order requests associated with the home, citing the law which states the orders are confidential unless a court rules otherwise. Michele Willis, the man’s niece, told the Baltimore Sun that one of her aunts requested the protective order against Willis, but she declined to say why.
Maryland’s law, which went into effect Oct. 1, is more broad in that it allows certain health care providers to seek an order, in addition to family members and law enforcement.

Christopher Steele's Russia Intel Sucked, Contradicted CIA Assessment: Solomon
It turns out that Christopher Steele, the former MI6 spy tasked with creating an opposition research dossier on then-candidate Donald Trump using "Kremlin sources," actually had terrible intelligence on Russian matters, reports The Hill's John Solomon.
In a business matter unrelated to the dossier, Steele boasted in a Feb. 8, 2016 email to a potential private-sector client that Russian President Vladimir Putin might be losing his grip on power.
"I also don’t believe any Russian client or associate will admit to a Western business contact that PUTIN has been weakened or is on the way out, as the intel suggests, out of fear of being branded an oppositionist," Steele cautioned the recipient. "We shall see but I hope you find them informative/useful anyway." -The Hill

Florida Officials Are Investigating Democrat Party for Fraud and Looking at How They Cheated and Tried to Steal Election!
These past few weeks Americans stood back and watched the Florida elections anxiously waiting for the ever-changing final tallies.
Something was amok, we all knew it but we couldn’t exactly put a finger on it. Now, as the smoke clears, we know the Democrats attempted to steal the elections through fraudulent and sleazy tactics.
A former Communist Russian leader famously stated decades ago what has become a mantra on the left.
“The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.”
This year’s midterm elections were no exception. Throughout the country there were reports of massive voter fraud. In California, Democrats reportedly bribed people on skid row for their signatures to obtain votes.

Rush Limbaugh: Thank God for Donald Trump... He Revs Up and Rams It Back Down Their Throat Every Time!
Rush Limbaugh thanked God for President Trump this Thanksgiving.
In the words of Rush Limbaugh, “He revs up and he rams it back down their throat every time.”
This should help you feel grateful this Thanksgiving holiday.
RUSH: Well, this is funny. The media is outraged again by President Trump — who may be the greatest president of our lifetimes, with one or two exceptions. Trump’s out there saying he can’t imagine anybody, anybody but himself being TIME magazine’s Man of the Year. He just can’t see it. There’s not anybody even close. Of course, the media says, “How dare he speak this way? This is just so unseemly! This is not how polite society refers to themselves. It’s not done this way.”
RUSH: Trump’s out there telling the media that an “Obama judge” struck down his new asylum executive order, and this must have really ticked off the chief justice of the United States, John Roberts. (laughing) John Roberts issued a statement (summarized), “We don’t have Obama judges, and we don’t have Bush judges, and we don’t have Clinton judges, and we don’t have Bush judges, and we don’t have Clinton judges, and we don’t have Obama…” (laughing) We sure as hell do!
What the hell is the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals? That’s where they all go! That’s why we know we have Obama judges. Obama has appointed left-wing hacks to act as judges. But… (laughing) Trump’s also saying he’s through submitting questions to the witch hunt. (laughing) Not the Mueller investigation, do you know whether the witch hunt. The Drive-Bys are beside themselves! It is funny to watch this.

Following Comey Subpoena, Goodlatte Confirms Lynch Ordered To Appear As Well
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) confirmed in a Friday statement that he has issued subpoenas for former FBI Director James Comey and former US Attorney General Loretta Lynch.
The subpoenas came early, as they were previously expected on November 29 and December 5, as reported by CNN's Manu Raju.
While Comey revealed his subpoena in a Thanksgiving tweet - stating he plans to resist a "closed door" testimony (during which confidential information could be discussed), Goodlatte's confirmation is the first we have learned of Lynch's order to appear.
Comey was ordered to appear on December 3 at 10:00 a.m., and Lynch on December 4 at 10:00 a.m. as well.

Comey was ordered to appear on December 3 at 10:00 a.m., and Lynch on December 4 at 10:00 a.m. as well.

Stoneman Douglas Commission Concludes Shooting Investigation, Causing a Shakeup at Broward Sheriff's Office
The Marjory Stoneman Douglas Public Safety Commission examined the February 14th shooting in great detail last week. They examined the school's blueprints and the Broward County Sheriff's Office response to the situation, WLRN reported.
Detective Walter Bonasaro of the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office gave a powerpoint presentation to the commission. One of the issues was the unlocked, unattended front gate. The other big concern was having doors with glass slits in the window where a potential shooter can look into a classroom.
Stoneman Douglas teacher Ivy Schamis said she feared Nikolas Cruz would bust through the window and unlock the door.
“I was cowering in the corner waiting for a hand to come right through and all you had to do was reach your hand into that - into that window and open the door," Schamis told the commission members.

MIT scientists create plane with no moving parts
Some 115 years after the first powered flight, scientists have developed a radical new approach toward flying in the form of a small, lightweight and virtually noiseless airplane that gets airborne with no moving parts like propellers or turbine blades.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) engineers on Wednesday described successful flight tests at an indoor campus gymnasium of the unmanned airplane powered not by engines that burn fossils fuels but by ion wind propulsion, also called electro-aerodynamic thrust.
The aircraft, called Version 2 EAD Airframe, or V2, weighs only 5.4 pounds with a wingspan of 16-1/2 feet.
“This is the first time that an airplane without moving parts has flown,” said MIT aerospace engineer Steven Barrett, who drew inspiration from fictional shuttlecraft from “Star Trek.”

Iron tools from the Bronze Age found to have otherworldly origins
A weapon as legendary as the dagger of King Tutankhamun needs an epic backstory, and last year X-ray analysis showed that the iron in the ancient blade had come from meteorites. Now, a French study has found that the artifact was far from alone as all iron tools dating back to the Bronze Age have otherworldly origins.
Beginning around 3300 BCE in the Near East and parts of South Asia, the Bronze Age was categorized by the widespread use of bronze in weapons, tools and decorations. Made by smelting copper and mixing it with tin, arsenic or other metals, bronze was durable and relatively easy to come by, and as such it remained the top choice until it was supplanted when the Iron Age began some 2,000 years later.
That's not to say that iron wasn't used during the Bronze Age – on relatively rare occasions iron artifacts have been found dating back to before the Iron Age, but it was much harder to come by and work with. The trouble was, most of the metal was locked in ore and needed to be smelted at extremely high temperatures, which was beyond the technological capabilities of the time. So where did those early iron artifacts come from?

California's deadliest wildfire 90 percent contained after 83 deaths, 153,000 acres burned
A wildfire that has raged in northern California for two weeks was on the verge of being contained on Thanksgiving Day, after 83 deaths and 153,000 acres burned.
California's Department of Forestry and Fire Protection said the Camp Fire, which has been burning north of Sacramento since Nov. 8, was 90 percent contained as of Thursday. Rain that started Wednesday and was expected to continue Thursday was likely to help further contain the blaze.
But the Camp Fire is far and away California's deadliest fire. It's responsible for 83 deaths, a number that could climb because hundreds are still missing.

Maryland Fishing Report
As the month of November approaches its end, we have a lot to be thankful for here in Maryland. Outdoor opportunities abound from the mountain streams of western Maryland to the Chesapeake Bay and coastal beaches. Here’s hoping you find your own place in nature for reflection during this special time of the year.
Forecast Summary: Nov. 21 – 27
With Chesapeake Bay temperatures at 50 degrees and dropping, blue crabs are digging into the bottom sediments along channel edges to prepare for upcoming winter. Bay fish are also moving towards winter holding areas or migrating out of the Bay. With plenty of cool waters and oxygen from surface to bottom, anglers can avoid waters with poor water clarity from recent, heavy rains.
In addition, look for concentrations of fish in some of the slightly warmer bottom waters located from the Bay Bridge south to near the Maryland state line in areas with good structure such as underwater points, oyster bottom, reefs, channel edges and large schools of baitfish.
Temperatures will be moderate most of this week except for some colder weather on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday. Another chance of rain rolls in on Saturday and again on Monday. Expect sunny to partly cloudy conditions most of the other days with air temperatures in the mid-50s and cool night-time temperatures in the upper 30s to mid-40s. At the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and Maryland Department of Natural Resources buoys, water temperatures continue to cool, with Annapolis at 49 degrees, Gooses Reef at 50 degrees, Mallows Bay at 45 degrees and Point Lookout at 51 degrees. Water temperatures should continue to drop this week due to the cooling air temperatures.
There is still poor water clarity on the main bay down to the Bay Bridge and on the Potomac River down to near Colonial Beach. In addition, expect water clarity to decline localized and nearshore areas as another round of rain enters the area Saturday. There will be above average tidal currents all week as a result of the full moon Nov. 23-24.
Department monitoring crews will be out early next week to provide updates on bay conditions from surface to bottom.

Upper Chesapeake Bay
Cooling water temperatures are having a dramatic effect on striped bass behavior, as their metabolism starts to slow down and they head for the depths of the bay to snooze out the winter. Surface water temperatures in the bay will soon dip into the 40s.
The Conowingo Dam is still releasing water far above the normal rate for this time of the year.
The water clarity has improved a bit in the lower Susquehanna River and some are having good luck casting a mix of crankbaits and soft plastic jigs near the mouths of the Northeast and Sassafras rivers as well as Turkey Point. Those who are jigging say they are allowing lures to work close to the bottom and bites have been subtle, which is not uncommon when the water is cold.
Trolling deep has been a popular option when fishing for striped bass this week along deep channel edges from 35 feet to 50 feet or better. The mouth of the Patapsco River has been one of the more productive places to troll in the upper bay. The deep edges ofSwan, Love and Podickory points are also worth checking out. Umbrella rigs rigged with spoons or chartreuse sassy shads have been popular with swimshads, spoons or bucktails as trailers. This requires stout tackle as it takes plenty of inline weight to get everything down to where the striped bass are holding.

Pompeo holds the line: Caravans 'will not be permitted' to enter US
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Thursday that the migrant caravans headed toward the U.S. won't be allowed to enter, a prediction he made after talking to Mexico's foreign secretary.
"I have been in close contact with Mexican Foreign Secretary Videgaray and it has been one week since Secretary Nielsen and I had a constructive meeting with Mexican Foreign Secretary-designate Marcelo Ebrard to discuss the migrant caravans," Pompeo said in a statement issued on Thanksgiving.
"We have affirmed our shared commitment to addressing the current challenge," he said. "The caravans will not be permitted to enter the United States. There are real dangers to the safety and human rights of migrants from those who would prey on them."

Buchanan: Are The Saudi Princes True Friends?
The 633-word statement of President Donald Trump on the Saudi royals’ role in the grisly murder of Washington Post contributor Jamal Khashoggi is a remarkable document, not only for its ice-cold candor.
The president re-raises a question that has roiled the nation since Jimmy Carter: To what degree should we allow idealistic values trump vital interests in determining foreign policy?
On the matter of who ordered the killing of Khashoggi, Trump does not rule out the crown prince as prime suspect:
“King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman vigorously deny any knowledge of the planning or execution of the murder… (but) it could very well be that the Crown Prince had knowledge.”
Yet, whether MBS did or didn’t do it, the Saudis have “agreed to spend and invest $450 billion in the United States.” And a full fourth of that is for “military equipment from Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon and other great U.S. defense contractors.”
“Foolishly” cancel these contracts, warns Trump, and Russia or China will snap them up.Moreover, the Saudis have agreed to pump oil to keep prices down.

Trump Doubles Down: Accuses "Obama Judge" Of Risking "Bedlam, Chaos And Death" At Southern Border
While most Americans (aside from soldiers serving on military bases and overseas) were preparing for an afternoon of friends, family and football on Thanksgiving, President Trump decided to double down on his response to SCOTUS Chief Justice John Roberts after an ongoing spat between the two broke out this week when Roberts criticized Trump for calling Judge Jon Tigar of the Ninth Circuit an "Obama Judge". Trump initially lashed out at Tigar after he became the latest Ninth Circuit judge to stymie Trump's immigration policies by ruling against Trump's order to crack down on asylum seekers.
Justice Roberts issued a short statement to the Associated Press on Wednesday after Trump told reporters outside the White House that he would file a "major complaint" against an "Obama judge" (Tigar) who temporarily blocked his administration's order to not honor any asylum claims made outside designed US border crossings.
Roberts said Wednesday the U.S. doesn’t have "Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges." He commented in a statement released by the Supreme Court after a query by The Associated Press.

Archbishop of Canterbury Declares God Gender Neutral
Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby has said that God is “not male nor female,” after female bishops demanded the Church of England stop referring to God solely as “he.”
The head of the worldwide Anglican communion told attendees at a lecture at St Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square: “All human language about God is inadequate and to some degree metaphorical.
“God is not a father in exactly the same way as a human being is a father. God is not male or female. God is not definable.

New Vaccine Could Cut Number Of Alzheimer's Cases In Half
A new Alzheimer's vaccine developed by scientists at the University of Texas Southwestern could conceivably cut the number of dementia cases in half.
Unlike a previous attempt that caused swelling in the brain when DNA was injected into the test mice's muscles, the new vaccine was administered by injecting it superficially into the skin.
Alzheimer’s, which is expected to strike triple the number of people by 2050, cripples the brain as human beings age, as beta-amyloid proteins in the brain get stuck together and tau proteins start to tangle, both of which inhibit neural connections. The new vaccine, injected into the skin, triggers the skin cells to produce a three-molecule chain of beta-amyloid. The immune system is then catalyzed to produce antibodies to fight beta-amyloid; the antibodies also fight tau proteins. This means the body anticipates the Alzheimer's plaques and tangles before they happen.

Subpoenas issued for James Comey and Loretta Lynch
Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee have issued subpoenas for former FBI Director James Comey and ex-Attorney General Loretta Lynch to testify behind closed doors about their actions during the 2016 presidential campaign.
The head of the panel, Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), on Tuesday signed the subpoenas, which require Comey to appear on Dec. 3 and Lynch to be deposed the next day.
The subpoenas were revealed publicly on Thursday.
Comey said he would be willing to appear but only in an open setting.
“Happy Thanksgiving. Got a subpoena from House Republicans. I’m still happy to sit in the light and answer all questions. But I will resist a ‘closed door’ thing because I’ve seen enough of their selective leaking and distortion. Let’s have a hearing and invite everyone to see,” he tweeted.
His lawyer, David Kelley, said they would fight so that Comey can testify in an open hearing.
“Mr. Comey embraces and welcomes a hearing open to the public, but the subpoena issued yesterday represents an abuse of process, a divergence from House rules and its presumption of transparency,” Kelley said Thursday. “Accordingly, Mr. Comey will resist in court this abuse of process.”
Lynch did not comment.

Secret Service agent who couldn't save JFK said guilt haunted him
The Secret Service agent who was too late to save President John F. Kennedy from an assassin’s bullets 55 years ago says that the gruesome scene — and his guilt over not acting more quickly — plunged him into a decades-long, alcohol-fueled depression that tore him from his family and nearly killed him.
Clint Hill was assigned to guard Kennedy’s motorcade in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963, when former Marine Lee Harvey Oswald squeezed off three shots from his bolt-action Carcano rifle, killing the young president.
Hill leapt into action trying to shield the president, but got to him only after the second bullet shattered Kennedy’s skull.
“I can see the gunshot wound. In the room that’s in the skull I can see that there is no more brain matter left,” Hill told The Sun newspaper of the UK.

Trump Gives Gen. Mattis Authority to Broaden Troop Border Activities
President Donald Trump has given Defense Secretary Jim Mattis the authority to allow troops at the Southwest border to perform “military protective activities” he deems necessary to protect troops and border patrol agents, according to a White House memo viewed by Breitbart News.
Those activities include “a show or use of force (including lethal force, where necessary), crowd control, temporary detention, and cursory search,” according to the memo, which was signed on Tuesday by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly.
“Department of Defense personnel shall not, without further direction from the President, conduct traditional civilian law enforcement activities, such as arrest, search, and seizure in connection with the enforcement of the laws,” it added.
Mattis said despite the new authorization, the current missions have not yet changed and that troops remain unarmed except for those whose specific job is to protect other deployed troops.
“There has been no call for any lethal force from [the Department of Homeland Security],” he told reporters Wednesday. “We don’t have guns in their hands right now other than a couple of [non-commissioned officers] who at any point … are armed for force protection.”

Grassley to Chief Justice: You Rebuked Trump — but Sat Silent Through Obama’s Abuse
U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts offered rare public criticism of the President of the United States on Wednesday when he pushed back against President Trump’s claim Tuesday that an “Obama judge” had blocked his effort to deny asylum to those entering the country illegally.
But as outgoing Senate Judiciary Committee chair Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) later noted, Roberts was silent when President Barack Obama attacked the Court during the State of the Union address in 2010:
Chief Justice Roberts rebuked Trump for a comment he made abt judge’s decision on asylum I don’t recall the Chief attacking Obama when that Prez rebuked Alito during a State of the Union
— ChuckGrassley (@ChuckGrassley) November 21, 2018
Likewise, Roberts said nothing when Obama bullied the Supreme Court on numerous occasions — and even appeared to yield to Obama’s pressure.
In 2010, President Obama used his first State of the Union address to denounce the Court’s January 2010 ruling in the Citizens United case, which struck down restrictions on corporate political speech under the First Amendment.

Hillary Clinton: Europe needs to cut immigration flows to stop right-wing populism
Hillary Clinton says European leaders need to find ways to limit immigration flows because inaction on the continent was driving right-wing populism.
“I think Europe needs to get a handle on migration because that is what lit the flame,” Clintontold the Guardian in an interview published Thursday.
“I admire the very generous and compassionate approaches that were taken particularly by leaders like Angela Merkel, but I think it is fair to say Europe has done its part, and must send a very clear message — ‘we are not going to be able to continue provide refuge and support’ — because if we don’t deal with the migration issue it will continue to roil the body politic," she said.

CIA Has "Smoking Gun Phone Call" Of MbS Giving Order To "Silence" Khashoggi
The Turks may still yet have the ultimate "smoking gun" leak up their sleeve which could put to bed the whole question over whether Saudi crown prince MbS personally ordered the October 2nd killing of Jamal Khashoggi.
The story broke on Thursday as Americans were celebrating Thanksgiving, and as President Trump — spending the holidays a Mar-a-Lago — took time to tell reporters at a press conference that the CIA "didn't conclude" that MbS ordered the killing while hedging that he "might have done it".
Turkish newspaper Hurriyet Daily News said on Thursday the CIA has a recording of a phone call in which the crown prince gave instructions to "silence Jamal Khashoggi as soon as possible." The possible existence of such a tape could put Trump in an awkward position if its contents are leaked given his consistent defense of MbS amidst the scandal and growing calls for accountability.

Lame Duck: House must pass immigration legislation now!
The GOP-led House of Representatives must pass critical legislation before the Democrats take over Congress in January. Obamacare repeal and the Merit Act must be proposed, but most importantly, the House must pass immigration legislation that will facilitate President Trump's ability to seal the border and build the wall.
If this is not done, GOP RINOs will work with Democrats to propose immigration "reform" that will include a massive amnesty, reflecting the desires of all Democrats to shore up their voting base with millions of imported voters and please the Chamber of Commerce and big business with the prospect of even more low-wage workers who will depress wages and steal American jobs.
Finally, if you think the caravans are bad now, legislation proposed by Democrats and their RINO allies would create a veritable tidal wave of caravans. If this happens, the GOP can kiss goodbye any chance of retaking the House in 2020. And do we have confidence the Senate would not support such legislation? If they did, GOP senators will be slaughtered in 2020 as well, and we may be looking at a President Harris, Booker, or possibly even Clinton.
That would be a disaster, to put it mildly. I don't think our nation would ever recover. Venezuela, here we come.
And forget about the caravans, which are really invasion forces of mostly young, defiant males. As it stands, illegal aliens flooding the border are apprehended at the rate of almost 12,000 per week! Those are the ones we caught. When Trump first took office, border apprehensions dropped to historically low levels. But with the unprecedented pushback from the hard left with lawsuits and accommodating activist judges, Central American migrants got the word that they could still get away with illegally entering the U.S.
