Hillary: No Class, and No Class Cheer

I did not return to my alma mater to hear Hillary Rodham Clinton deliver her commencement address to the Wellesley Class of 2017. Nor did I – in the manner of my more liberal alumnae friends here on the West Coast – opt to rise very early on the morning of Friday, May 26 to catch a live broadcast of it.

Even had I been so inclined, I figured I pretty well knew what Hillary would say in that much anticipated talk to a largely partisan crowd of graduates, their parents, and their well-wishers. To some extent, I was wrong.

Let's put it this way: the most incisive post-speech comment on Secretary Clinton's performance came from one of my Wellesley classmates, who said simply, "Hillary never did have any class." And on top of that, Mrs. Clinton was quick to admit to her blasé audience that her class didn't have any class cheer, either.

I'm not sure why Wellesley's most famous alumna bothered to bring this up. Perhaps it was an ice-breaker, certainly one preferable to her ensuing coughing fit, popped lozenge, and gulp of bottled water. It remains a mystery why and how Hillary's class had gotten away with such a singular lapse of tradition at a college so steeped in it. Surely back then one of Hillary's classmates – perhaps she herself – could have come up with a suitable cheer. Or had they all become young allies of radical Saul Alinsky, leaving them little to cheer about?

Wisconsin corn milling plant explosion leaves one dead

An explosion at a corn milling plant in Cambria on Wednesday has left one dead, two missing and 11 injured, officials said.

Multiple fire departments and more than four helicopters were called to the Didion Milling plant in the 500 block of Williams Street at 11pm, but rescuers struggled to get into the burning building.

'The big thing everyone has to realize is the fire was still active,' Columbia County Sheriff Dennis Richards told Channel 3000.

'You had fire departments trying to put it out to get inside and get to those who needed assistance.'

Tennessee mom fails to tell cops her husband abducted kids

A mother who claimed she had been abducted with her four children at gunpoint by a stranger has been charged with false reporting after police discovered it was her husband who allegedly kidnapped them.

Amanda Manley Crout, 31, has been charged with accessory after the fact and filing a false police report after she failed to tell police it was her husband, Octivas Crout, 28, who abducted her early Sunday morning in Tennessee.

Initially, Crout claimed she didn't know who kidnapped her and her young children, but court documents state a witness saw Octivas Crout, aka Octavious Woods, holding his family at gunpoint, according to FOX News.

Japanese Supreme Court Upholds Special Surveillance to Keep Tabs on Muslims

The Japanese Supreme Court has affirmed the practice of extensive surveillance of Muslims, rejecting an appeal by 17 plaintiffs who challenged the policy on the grounds that it violated Muslims’ constitutional rights to privacy, equal treatment, and religious freedom.

In 2010, over a hundred Japanese police files were leaked to the public, which revealed widespread monitoring of Muslims across Japan. The files reportedly showed that the Japanese government was keeping tabs on some 72,000 Japanese residents who hailed from member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Tokyo police had also been monitoring places of worship, halal restaurants, and “Islam-related” organizations, according to the documents.

Soon after, 17 plaintiffs filed a lawsuit saying that their privacy had been violated, and challenging the extensive monitoring of followers of Islam in Japan.

After two appeals, the case made it to Japan’s Supreme Court, which on May 31 concurred with a lower court that awarded the plaintiffs a total of ¥90 million ($880,000) in compensation because the leak violated their privacy.

Nonetheless, the high court dismissed the more general charges of police profiling and invasive surveillance practices, which a lower court had upheld as “necessary and inevitable” to guard against the threat of Islamic terrorism.

Editor Note: While this article is from July 2016, it explains why Japan has managed to not experience the terrorism in their country while so many others have fallen victim. It is said in the latter part of the article Japan's stance with Muslims is unapologetic and a model of what other nations should do due to the effectiveness.

Why A Judiciary Committee Member Said "I'd Be Surprised If Comey Testifies That Trump Pressured Him"

Echoing the thoughts of many who have watched this farce from outside the Beltway, Senator Mike Lee said early Thursday that he would be surprised to hear former FBI Director James Comey testify that President Trump pressed him to end a federal investigation into former national security advisor Michael Flynn.

Speaking on CNN's "New Day", Lee said "that would surprise me" when asked if Comey would testify that Trump pressured him. His reasoning is simple...

"I'm on the Judiciary Committee and just a few weeks ago we had, still Director Comey, come and testify. Someone asked him about political pressure and he said, 'This is something I haven't seen, something in my experience has not occurred.'"

As a reminder, testifying under oath in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on May 3rd, Comey states that he has not been pressured to close an investigation for political purposes, "not in my experience."

Byron York: Hillary Clinton's top 8 reasons she's not to blame for losing

In the months since the election, Hillary Clinton has not been quiet about her loss to President Trump. But she has tried to treat her defeat with a measure of good humor, as she did in last week's Wellesley commencement address, when she said that long walks and Chardonnay helped her cope.

Never has Clinton publicly revealed the intensity of the blame and resentment she appears to feel about the 2016 election. Until now. In a long interview at the CodeCon conference in California Wednesday, Clinton discussed her loss in more detail than she ever has publicly, and blamed more people than ever before. Some of her accusations had at least some basis in fact. Some didn't. But all were part of Clinton's complex explanation for losing an election that seemed hers to win. A brief list:

Victims of teen sex trafficking deal with devastating damage

WASHINGTON — Teen sex trafficking is a major problem in Northern Virginia. But sometimes victims of this crime are so broken that it’s almost impossible for them to ever overcome the damage that’s been done.

“It ruins their lives. There’s no coming back from it,” said Fairfax County police Detective Bill Woolf, who works with the police department’s major crimes division in the child exploitation unit that deals with human trafficking in Northern Virginia.

He said that according to the National Human Trafficking Hotline, Northern Virginia continues to be a hot spot for teen sex trafficking. And traffickers are very cunning in who they target.

They target both girls and boys. But their main target is girls between 11 and 14 who have low self-esteem.

“This is definitely coercion and manipulation,” said Liz Payne with Just Ask, a nonprofit that works to end trafficking.

Pro-Lifers Ask for Sessions on Planned Parenthood

Defending Planned Parenthood has always been a tough job -- but last month, it got even harder with the release of some of the worst undercover videos to date. Just when you thought the group couldn't be any crasser, David Daleiden caught employees laughing about some of the collateral damage of abortion -- like eyeballs rolling into staffers' laps -- and other horrifying tales.

But the stories were more than stomach-turning -- they were also incriminating. At one point, Planned Parenthood Dr. Ann Schutt-Aine talked about how the group evades the partial-birth abortion law by "pull[ing] off a leg or two, so it's not PBA." It's that obvious disdain for the law that's gotten Cecile Richards's group into trouble before. After a series of videos showed the higher-ups at Planned Parenthood were hiding a massive baby organ-selling ring, Republicans finally had enough. Led by Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), the House launched a special panel to investigate the organization propped up by more than a half-billion taxpayer dollars. Despite the Left's refusal to cooperate, Blackburn and company uncovered plenty of abuses of fetal tissue and born-alive infant protection laws.

Unfortunately, under the most pro-abortion president in American history, Congress didn't have the support of the White House to move those allegations forward. Now, armed with more evidence -- and friends in the White House and Congress -- conservative groups are asking Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe to pick up where the Obama administration never left off. "We, the undersigned representing millions of Americans, strongly support an investigation into paid fetal tissue transfers involving Planned Parenthood."

At Fault Operator in Crash Charged with DUI (Somerset County)

On June 3, 2017 at approximately 10:46 pm, Troopers from the Maryland State Police Princess Anne Barrack were dispatched to the area of US Route 13 and Route 413 for a motor vehicle collision.

Upon arrival, troopers observed two vehicles in the roadway which had been involved in a collision. Investigation revealed that a Black Nissan Pathfinder operated by Douglas McClain Sr., 58 years old from Salisbury, MD was traveling on N/B Rt. 413 and intended to cross S/B. Rt. 13 to continue North. At the time of the collision, McClain failed to yield the right of way to a white Chevrolet Impala which was heading S/B on Rt. 13 and driven by David J. Hendershot, 57 years old of Bloxom, VA.

During the course of the investigation, the driver of the Black Nissan, McClain, admitted to consuming an alcoholic beverage prior to the collision. Troopers also made observations of McClain which were consistent of a person who was impaired by alcohol. McClain performed several standardized field sobriety test, but the tests were stopped due to McClain wanting medical attention, even though he refused moments prior. McClain was transported to PRMC hospital where troopers again contacted him in reference to the impaired driving investigation. McClain refused an evidence test for alcohol at the hospital. McClain was issued citations for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol, negligent driving, and driving with a suspended registration.

The driver and passenger of the other vehicle were transported to PRMC with non-life threatening injuries.

Breaking News: Officials have named two of the London attack suspects

One was known to the police and was in a TV film about jihadis in Britain.

Khurum Shazad Butt was not the typical resident of the East London neighborhood of Barking. He dressed in the religious gown of a conservative Muslim — with a tracksuit and sneakers underneath. He turned up in a Channel 4 documentary, “The Jihadis Next Door.” And now London’s Metropolitan Police have identified him as one of the three men who carried out the deadly terror attack on Saturday at London Bridge and Borough Market.

Hillary didn't want to share a plane with Michelle Obama

Michelle Obama may have been Hillary Clinton's biggest cheerleader during the 2016 presidential election, but it looks like Hillary wasn't the biggest fan of her fellow first lady.

According to an email exchanged obtained through a Freedom of Information Act Request by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, then-Secretary of State Clinton didn't want to share a plane with Obama when the two attended Betty Ford's funeral in 2011.

The exchange starts with an email from Clinton's top aide Huma Abedin, who informs her that the Ford family would be open to having Clinton speak at the funeral and that Obama planned to attend the service as well.

Environmentalists outraged after ‘green’ wind turbines murder family of whales

Some environmentalists are saying wind turbines pose a threat to whales after a family of minke whales were found dead in the United Kingdom.

According to reports by the Times (London) and Daily Caller, a young minke whale was found dead in the United Kingdom on May 20. Its mother was found dead on a nearby beach the same day, and a third whale washed ashore on May 21. It’s believed the three whales were part of the same family.

According to marine wildlife experts, the whales were likely disoriented by nearby wind turbines, which can affect the sonar whales use to navigate.

“My personal opinion is that could be a consequence of wind farms and the amount of sand in the water,” said John Cresswell, chairman of the Felixstowe Volunteer Coast Patrol Rescue Service, according to the Times. “If you stop the boat off the coast you can feel the vibrations and hear the noise.”

Before Attacks, London Mayor Warned About Global Warming

Two days before deadly terror attacks hit London, Mayor Sadiq Khan railed against President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris climate accord.

Khan called global warming “one of the biggest risks to humanity” and pledged to work with other cities to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement, which is to keep future global warming below 2 degrees Celsius. Trump announced U.S. withdrawal Thursday.

Citizens and Police Working Together

On the night of June 2, 2017, Meg Walls of Chambersburg, PA, was playing football with her young son on the beach near 4th street and the boardwalk when her diamond wedding band flew from her finger and disappeared into the sea of sand. After several hours of emotional, desperate and unsuccessful searching by family and friends, the search was stopped and the ring was assumed lost to the sand forever.

On the following evening, June 3rd, Southern District Evening Watch Officers observed Mr. Barry Betts of Milton, DE, searching for lost treasures on the beach near 4th street. Sgt. D. Eade asked the 44 year treasure hunting veteran if he could use his sophisticated equipment to search the area of the beach where a heartbroken Meg Walls had lost her wedding band the night prior. Well, as luck would have it, on only his second pass, Betts heard a tone from his device, made a scoop of the sand, and amazingly enough, recovered the lost ring.

The ring was successfully returned to a very happy Meg Walls and family, at a nearby hotel. This was a excellent example of citizens and police working together to give a visiting family a special Ocean City experience!

Fleeing Tyranny Or Bringing It With Them?

Many newcomers to Canada and Europe are demanding laws similar to those from which they claim to be seeking refuge.
Newcomers soon start demanding privileges. They ask for gender segregation at work and in educational institutions; they ask for faith schools (madrasas), and demand an end to any criticism of their extremist practices such as female genital mutilation (FGM), forced marriages, child marriages and inciting hatred for other religions. They call any criticism "Islamophobia". They seek to establish a parallel justice system such as sharia courts. They are also unlikely, on different pretexts, to support any anti-terror or anti-extremism programs. They seem to focus only on criticizing the policies of West.

It is now the responsibility of Western governments to curb this growing turbulence of religious fundamentalism. Western governments need to require "hardline" Muslims to follow the laws of the land. Extremists need to be stopped from driving civilization to a collision course before the freedoms, for which so many have worked so hard and sacrificed so much are -- through indifference or political opportunism -- completely abolished.

Terror attacks and other offshoots of Islamic extremism have created an atmosphere of mistrust between Europe's natives and thousands of those who entered European countries to seek shelter.

The situation is turning the Europeans against their own governments and against those advocating help for the war-torn migrants who have been arriving.

Europeans are turning hostile towards the idea of freedom and peaceful coexistence; they have apparently been seeing newcomers as seeking exceptions to the rules and culture of West.

An Open Letter To High School Graduates

Congratulations to all you high school graduates. By now, you have walked across the stage, before your classmates, teachers, administrators and family, shook hands with a figure of authority and received your high school diploma.

This much is certain — a major milestone in your life has been achieved and you should be proud of the accomplishment and enjoy some time celebrating safely and hopefully enjoying some relaxation along the way.

However, we are not going to gush over you like so many others this week. You deserve to pat yourself on the back and have a sense of pride in what you were able to do over the last four years. There’s nothing that could be said to diminish your achievement.

However, it’s worth remembering you have merely done what has been expected of you at your age.

We finally know what Hillary Clinton knew all along – US allies Saudi Arabia and Qatar are funding Isis

There is a bizarre discontinuity between what the Obama administration knew about the jihadis and what they would say in public

It is fortunate for Saudi Arabia and Qatar that the furore over thesexual antics of Donald Trump is preventing much attention being given to the latest batch of leaked emails to and fromHillary Clinton. Most fascinating of these is what reads like aUS State Department memo, dated 17 August 2014, on the appropriate US response to the rapid advance of Isis forces, which were then sweeping through northern Iraq and eastern Syria.

At the time, the US government was not admitting that Saudi Arabia and its Sunni allies were supporting Isis and al-Qaeda-type movements. But in the leaked memo, which says that it draws on “western intelligence, US intelligence and sources in the region” there is no ambivalence about who is backing Isis, which at the time of writing was butchering and raping Yazidi villagers and slaughtering captured Iraqi and Syrian soldiers.

The memo says: “We need to use our diplomatic and more traditional intelligence assets to bring pressure on the governments of Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are providing clandestine financial and logistic support to Isis and other radical groups in the region.” This was evidently received wisdom in the upper ranks of the US government, but never openly admitted because to it was held that to antagonise Saudi Arabia, the Gulf monarchies, Turkey and Pakistan would fatally undermine US power in the Middle East and South Asia.

Trump Will Not Invoke "Executive Privilege" To Block Comey Testimony

On Friday, media speculation emerged that the Trump administration may seek to block former FBI director James Comey's testimony scheduled for next Thursday after White House officials said that they did not know yet whether President Donald Trump would seek to block Comey's testimony, a move that would spark another huge political backlash against the president. Speaking to reporters, Sean Spicer said "I have not spoken to counsel yet. I don't know how they're going to respond."

As a reminder, the former FBI chief who was leading a probe into Russian meddling in last year's presidential election and was fired by Trump last month, is due to testify on Thursday before the Senate Intelligence Committee as part of its own Russia-related investigation, and his remarks could "cause problems" for the Republican president per Reuters.

While invoking executive privilege can be a politically treacherous move, recalling past scandals like Watergate, in which Nixon asserted the power in efforts to block congressional investigations, it is worth recalling that in 2012 none other than former President Barack Obama used the legal authority once, during congressional inquiries into the "Fast and Furious" scandal, after weapons ended up in the possession of Mexican gun cartels. Obama was later sued by Congress for his decision to block lawmakers from viewing documents related to the gun-running scandal.

As Reuters further adds, "presidents can assert executive privilege to prevent government employees from sharing information. However, legal experts say it is not clear whether certain conversations between Trump and Comey that the president has talked about publicly would be covered, and any effort to block Comey, who is now a private citizen, from testifying could be challenged in court." Furthermore, Trump’s tweets about Mr. Comey would damage any claim of executive privilege.

Obama's Decisions Doomed Paris Climate Accord To Failure

Blame former President Barack Obama for the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris climate accord, according to policy experts, as Obama’s decision to forgo Senate approval and bank on a Democratic win in 2016 made the agreement politically vulnerable.

“The Paris climate agreement was pushed through against the declared will of America’s elected representatives,” Dr. Benny Peiser, director of the UK-based Global Warming Policy Forum, said in a statement.

President Donald Trump announced Thursday he would withdraw the U.S. from the Paris accord. Trump’s Paris withdrawal was made easier by decisions made by Obama to unilaterally impose global warming policies.

Obama joined the Paris accord in 2016, after years of working behind the scenes to craft the non-binding global warming deal, but he did so without submitting it to the Senate.

Obama And Hillary's Behavior Unreal Part Of Trump's Term

Both former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton slammed President Donald Trump last week, marking the earliest time a former president attacked a sitting president in recent political history.

Obama slammed Trump for pulling the U.S. out of the Paris agreement on climate change Thursday, calling the new administration an “absence of American leadership.”

“But even in the absence of American leadership; even as this Administration joins a small handful of nations that reject the future; I’m confident that our states, cities, and businesses will step up and do even more to lead the way, and help protect for future generations the one planet we’ve got,” Obama said Thursday according to The Hill.

Clinton joined the former president in attacking the current president. She asserted that Trump’s proposed budget cuts were an “unimaginable cruelty” to the American people before claiming that the 45th president was an authoritarian dictator.

Liberals Outraged, Demand Termination After Bill Maher Says "I'm A House Ni**er"

Update: Bill Maher has issued an apology for using the N-word on Friday’s edition of HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.”

Maher said in a statement: “Friday nights are always my worst night of sleep because I’m up reflecting on the things I should or shouldn’t have said on my live show. Last night was a particularly long night as I regret the word I used in the banter of a live moment. The word was offensive and I regret saying it and am very sorry.

A rep for Maher told Variety the comedian was traveling on Saturday and unavailable for further comment.

We may have hit the moment of "peak outrage."

After months of liberal anger focused on Trump in particular, and the conservative right in general which culminated with last week's unfortunate attempt at "humor" by Kathy Griffin, in which a severed Donald Trump head reportedly cost her her career (in her own words), overnight Bill Maher did his best to take the heat off of Griffin by focusing the next round of social outrage - especially that emanating from the left - on himself.

As the Wrap notes, "the former Politically Incorrect host proved he’s still politically incorrect when Republican Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse invited Maher to “work in the fields.” Maher's reply prompted outrage among the liberal half of social media, as well as a barrage of calls aimed at HBO to fire Maher. Discussing his new book on Friday evening, the following exchange took place:

“I’ve got to get to Nebraska more," Maher said to Sasse.

“You’re welcome. We’d love to have you work in the fields with us," Sasse replied.

“Work in the fields? Senator, I’m a house nigger. No, it’s a joke," said Maher.

Why Vote Republican? Part 3

I ask myself this question regularly these days. The only answer that makes sense to me is that it’s better than the alternative. I can’t imagine voting for the lunacy represented by Nancy Pelosi, Maxine Waters, Cherokee Liz Warren, Crazy Bernie Sanders, or the woman who thinks she actually won the election, Hillary Clinton.

I would rather be voting for a great political party, rather than voting against a distasteful one. Given the state of the current two parties, the distinction is not that clear. It’s more like saying I’d rather die from a heart attack in my sleep than from pancreatic cancer. Both roads lead to the morgue. It’s the journey that differs.

One could argue that Neil Gorsuch would not be a Supreme Court justice if the Democrats controlled Congress. President Trump might already be impeached and removed from office, with Maxine Waters and Kathy Griffin holding his bloody head as a trophy of a Democrat-controlled Congress.

I’ll concede these points but still harken back to my original question, why vote Republican? This is not the first time I asked this question.

In 2015, after the November midterm elections gave control of both the House and Senate to Republicans, President Obama announced his amnesty plan. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, rather than exercising his constitutional duty to check and balance an overzealous executive branch, folded like a cheap suit and funded Obama’s plans.

Transgender Air Force Academy Graduate Denied Commission Until Review

A transgender Air Force Academy graduate is being withheld lieutenant's bars because of what the academy calls a gap in Pentagon rules for transgender military recruits.

Although the Defense Department began allowing military service by transgender people last year, the change applied to those who were active duty, not recruits, Air Force Academy spokesman Lt. Col. Allen Herritage said in a written statement.

As a result, a recent graduate has been barred from receiving a commission, Heritage confirmed, declining to name the cadet.

Policies for recruits -- or "accessions" in military jargon -- were under review by the Pentagon and revised guidelines were expected by July 16, Herritage said.

"However, we are strongly recommending this individual for Air Force civil service as an option for continued service after the Academy," the statement said. "The more than 140,000 Air Force civilians who serve along aside our uniformed Airmen everyday are essential to our mission to fly, fight and win in air, space and cyberspace."

Muslim who sued pizza restaurant over pepperoni gets VERY bad news

Want to make a hundred million dollars? Just be a victim!

Last month we reported on the case of Mohamad Bazzi, a Muslim man from Dearborn, Michigan, who is suing the pizza chain Little Caesars for $100 million – a hefty sum for a chain known for advertising their $5 pizza deals.

What was the basis of this lawsuit? Mohamad ordered pepperoni pizza, and then ate pepperoni. According to his lawsuit, he “accidentally” ate a portion of the pepperoni pizza that he believed to have been made with halal meat (apparently it was haram), as it’s against the Islamic faith to consume pork. Mohamad filed a police report regarding the incident back in March (yes, really) prior to filing his lawsuit.

Just as quickly as the lawsuit was filed, it crumbled. According to Fox 2 Detroit, Attorney for Little Caesars said on Friday that a lawsuit that claimed a Detroit-area Muslim man had been served pepperoni pizza instead of halal pepperoni was being dropped. However, the man’s attorneys are disputing that assertion.

White House Leak Central: Kushner’s lawyer, Jamie Gorelick, A Decades-Long Clinton Loyalist

Remarkably, positioning Gorelick at the heart of the Trump administration counter-attack to the Democratic Party’s no-evidence “Russian Collusion” meme is tantamount to installing a direct line to the Clinton home in Chappaqua, N.Y., making leaking to Bill and Hillary a matter of lawyer-client privilege.

For those who have not followed Gorelick’s career, she is an established Clinton operative whose loyalty to the Clinton-wing of the Democratic Party has decades of history.

Trump condemns London Mayor Sadiq Khan after terror attack

Donald Trump has criticized London mayor Sadiq Khan just hours after a terror attack in the city on Saturday night left at least seven people dead and 48 injured.

The president took to Twitter early on Sunday morning to criticize Khan for telling residents of his city that there is 'no reason to be alarmed' after three terrorists ran over a crowd of people and stabbed several others before being shot dead.

But Khan's remarks had been taken out of context.

The mayor was talking about an increased police presence in the British capital when he said there was 'no reason to be alarmed'.

Khan had earlier released a statement condemning the attacks as 'barbaric' and 'cowardly'.

Trump said on Sunday morning: 'We must stop being politically correct and get down to the business of security for our people. If we don't get smart it will only get worse.'

'At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is "no reason to be alarmed!"'

'Do you notice we are not having a gun debate right now? That's because they used knives and a truck!'

How New York Is Turning Food Waste Into Compost and Gas

New Yorkers already have blue and green bins for recycling glass, metal, paper and plastic. But now brown bins for organic waste are starting to appear all over the city. These plastic totems are part of the city’s multimillion-dollar campaign to cut down on greenhouse gas emissions and reliance on landfills, and to turn food scraps and yard waste into compost and, soon, clean energy.

In the 19th century, the city had a simple method for dealing with organic rubbish: It enlisted scavenging swine to nose through the gutters for leftovers. Now, the city is employing the primal chemistry of decay.

About 14 million tons of waste are thrown out each year. It costs the city almost $400 million annually just to ship what it collects from homes, schools and government buildings (by rail, barge or truck) to incinerators or landfills as far away as South Carolina. (In addition, dozens of private companies put trucks on the road to take away refuse from office buildings and businesses.)

The largest single portion of the trash heap is organics, or things that were once living. That apple core, that untouched macaroni salad, that slice of pizza and the greasy paper plate it was served on are heavy with moisture, which makes shipping expensive. As they decompose, they release methane, a greenhouse gas.

New threat closes Evergreen State College again on Monday

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- All classes are canceled again at Evergreen State College for Monday after a new threat came in against the school over the weekend.

No details about this threat have been given.

It will be the third day classes have been closed by threats to the campus.

The campus was suddenly closed and evacuated Thursday after an unspecified threat came into the business line for the Thurston County 911 dispatch center. Classes were closed again on Friday as the investigation into the threats continued. Then a new threat came in over the weekend, prompting Monday's closure.

"Even though we had planned to be back in class on Monday, it’s important to give law enforcement an opportunity to evaluate their new information," said Sandra Kaiser, vice president for college relations at Evergreen.

No incidents have occurred at the college, but there has been a visible police presence on the campus since the original threat was made.

A dirty little congressional practice is exposed in a recent story from reporter Sharyl Attkisson and The Daily Signal. Attkisson notes a report entitled, “The Price of Power” by Nick Penniman of Issue One, which reveals that the establishment of leadership positions on various committees is not merit-based but money-based. The more money a member of Congress can raise for their respective political party’s coffers, the greater their opportunity for powerful committee positions. Penniman states, “It’s not only a powerful position, it’s a perverse system. In fact, it’s the inverse of what we all as citizens should want.” Not that it’s surprising.

The current system is designed as a means to generate money for the political parties. Each member of Congress is expected to pay “dues” every two years, and these dues are often raised by the members engaging in what is termed “dialing for dollars,” where members make fundraising calls in order to meet their financial quotas.

The amount of campaign funds raised and given to the party determines who moves to the front of the line.

Muslims Take Over New York Street – Start Praying in Front of Trump Tower

New York – Muslims continued on with their civilization Jihad as they took over the street in front of Trump Tower during ‘Iftar’ or ‘breaking their Ramadan fast’.

There is no reason for this other than Muslims letting the infidels know that they here and working on their Islamic takeover.

Of course Hamas-linked, Linda Sarsour was also there spewing more lies about her intentions as a Muslim activist. She claims Trump is full of hatred and divisiveness which of course is untrue. The real hate and divisiveness comes from Islam and Sarsour knows it.

CNN Host Reza Aslan Calls Trump ‘Piece of Sh*t’

CNN host Reza Aslan attacked President Trump for correctly identifying the London Bridge attack as an act of terror.

The host of CNN’s Believer TV series attacked President Trump for tweeting about the need to implement his previously suggested travel halt in order to prevent terrorism in America.

Aslan quoted the President’s tweet referring to him as a “piece of sh*t.”

After NBC Nightly News refused to report on President Trump’s assertion that the London attacks were an act of Islamic terror, Aslan quoted the tweet, calling President Trump a “man baby” and claiming that he must be “ignored in times of crisis.”

Project Vote bites the dust

That huge, sucking sound you’re not hearing is a left-wing behemoth slipping down the sewer.

At the risk of Schadenfreude, the cautionary Germanic expression for taking pleasure in someone else’s misfortune, Project Vote (PV), where Barack Obama cut his teeth working as a community organizing lawyer in Chicago in 1992, closed its doors on May 31. This is good for America.

The self-styled voting rights group was the spawn of ACORN, the corrupt outfit that was shut down seven years ago after its staffers were caught on camera giving tax evasion advice to two undercover Project Veritas folks posing as a prostitute and pimp.

A pet project of billionaire George Soros, Project Vote was hemorrhaging money to the tune of $750,000 in 2015. Apparently, even the Soros wallet is not infinitely expansive, especially when surveys show vast numbers of Americans directly oppose PV’s goal of making vote fraud easier. Working under various names, Project Vote has worked over the years to undermine election integrity safeguards, especially photo voter ID laws and registration requirements such as proof of citizenship.

The progressive pedigree of Project Vote is described in detail at DiscovertheNetworks (A Guide to the Political Left): “All of PV’s policy prescriptions are designed to maximize voter turnout among demographics that traditionally support Democrats in overwhelming numbers. Moreover, several of the group’s preferred policies — such as loosened standards for voter-registration and -identification — invariably make it easier for election-related fraud to take place.

“Pursuing the so-called ‘crisis strategy’ or Cloward-Piven Strategy pioneered during the 1960s by political scientists Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven … PV’s objective is to overwhelm, paralyze, and discredit the American voting system through an abundance of fraudulent registrations, fraud at the ballot box, protests, propaganda, and vexatious litigation.”

Comey refuses to answer bipartisan questions from senators, saying he's a private citizen

Former FBI director James Comey is formally refusing to answer questions submitted to him by a bipartisan group of senators, suggesting he no longer must do so as a private citizen.

Comey sent an email from his private account last week rebuffing the seven questions that had been submitted to him by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles Grassley and the committee’s ranking Democrat Dianne Feinstein after Comey’s final testimony as FBI director to the panel last month. Comey was fired by President Donald Trump shortly after his appearance.

Comey's short email specifically cited his status as a private citizen as a reason for declining to answer the questions.

The “private citizen “excuse was considered unusual by the senators since numerous former government officials have testified before Congress in recent weeks.

And Comey himself is appearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee this week, raising senators’ fears he is “venue shopping” to avoid hard questions the Judiciary Committee is likely to ask about the FBI’s use of NSA surveillance data and conflicts between Comey’s past testimony and new evidence in the public domain.

VIDEO: ‘Agitated’ Maxine Waters pushes liberal reporter away after two questions

'Auntie Maxine' Waters was making an appearance in Los Angeles Saturday when she had a run-in with a liberal reporter and ended up pushing him out of her way.

Reporter Michael Tracey for “The Young Turks,” a progressive outlet, was covering the “March for Truth” in LA when he asked Waters two questions.

“You say Russia’s not our friend. Was it a mistake for Obama to forge military cooperation with Russia in Syria and try to get a (unintelligible) treaty?” Tracey asked secondly.

“You and I have a different agenda, young man,” Waters snapped.

“I’m out to impeach this president. Get that straight! I’m out to impeach the president. I’m not going to be diverted by people who are Obama haters,” she said.

With that, she shoved the microphone out of her face, pushed Tracey and walked away.

Confused

I became confused when I heard the word "Service" used with these agencies:

Internal Revenue
'Service'

U.S. Postal
'Service'

Telephone
'Service'

Cable / TV
  'Service'

Civil
'Service'

City, County & State Public
'Service'

Customer
'Service'

This is not what I thought
'Service' meant.

But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to
'Service' a few cows.
BAM!!!  It all came into focus.

Now I understand what all those agencies are doing.

I hope that you are now just as enlightened as I am.
