Good for the Queen! She’s got a set far bigger than Obama’s. She is refusing to return to London to meet with Obama when he trundles over there next month. And she is warning him not to address Britain’s impending Brexit from the EU. Exactly right. Obama is going over there to meddle in Britain’s business and call for them to stay in the EU. It’s none of his business frankly and it is self-serving. Instead, Obama will have to go to her… he’ll travel the 22 mile journey from London to Windsor Castle in his armored seven-ton limo, accompanied by his massive security team. Full details of his security operation are top secret but there could be dozens of secret service cars, police and emergency medical vehicles, making the trip on the M4. When he gets to the castle he will have a private lunch with the Queen. And he better keep mum on the EU… the Queen doesn’t suffer American Marxists well.

THE GLOVES ARE OFF: TRUMP ACCUSES HILLARY OF BEING “INVOLVED IN CORRUPTION FOR MOST OF HER PROFESSIONAL LIFE”
It’s popcorn time.
Barely 24 hours after Trump launched his first Hillary attack ad in which he showed a laughing Putin respond to a barking Hillary, and shortly after Hillary’s SuperPAC responded in kind with an ad of its own in which it used aTrump quote to mock him, the gloves are officially off, and now that both presidential candidates – both convinced they will face off against each other – are beyond the foreplay stage, the gloves have come off and the direct attacks are escalating rapidly.
So rapidly, in fact, that one may say Trump is risking a potential lawsuit with the following accusation (which, however, should not be too difficult to prove should one of Hillary’s SuperPACs sue him for libel).
This is what Trump tweeted moments ago.

An amateur metal detector has found an ancient crucifix that could change the history of Christianity
An amateur metal detector has made a discovery that experts think could change our understanding of Christianity in Denmark.
Dennis Fabricius Holm was enjoying an afternoon off work when he found a Birka crucifix pendant in a field near the town of Aunslev, Østfyn.
"I got off early on Friday, so I took just a few hours, I went around with my metal detector and then I came suddenly on something," Mr Holm told DK.
"Since I cleared the mud and saw the jewelry, I have not been able to think of anything else."
On posting the find to social media, other users encouraged him to take it to a museum.
Malene Refshauge Beck, curator and archaeologist at Østfyns Museum, said: "It is an absolutely sensational discovery that is from the first half of the 900s [10th century]."
"There is found an almost identical figure in Sweden, which has been dated to just this period."

An American who traveled to Iraq to join ISIS before fleeing says he made a 'bad decision'
A 26-year-old American man who was captured by Kurdish forces in Iraq earlier this week said he had traveled from Turkey to join the Islamic State before deciding to escape, according to an interview with Kurdish television on Thursday.
Two Kurdish militia officers said on Monday an American, bearded and dressed in black, had surrendered after being surrounded near the village of Golat, in northern Iraq.
The man's Virginia driver's license identified him as Kweis Mohammed Jamal.
In the video, Kweis, looking healthy but subdued, recounted his journey from the US to Mosul, Iraq, and then into the hands of the Kurdish peshmerga.

Washington Post: Growing Concern About FBI Sniper Actions In Oregon Standoff
The two-month standoff between Oregon militia members and police came to a violent end in January, with the shooting of militia leader Robert “LaVoy” Finicum by Oregon state troopers.
But now the Washington Post reports “new details have emerged” about the controversial conduct of FBI Hostage Rescue Team snipers.
The Post article portrays the current state of the investigation as considerably messier than readers casually following the story might have suspected.
The FBI team has been accused of firing at Finicum’s truck, failing to report their shots as required, and actually taking steps to cover their tracks by collecting their spent shell casings:
Last week, Deschutes County Sheriff Shane Nelson, who is overseeing the investigation, said he had concluded that “FBI HRT operators fired two shots as Mr. Finicum exited the truck, and one shot hit the truck.” Nelson accused the agents of failing to “disclose their shots to our investigators.”
The five FBI agents have denied firing assault rifles during the incident. But in a recently released interview, an Oregon State Police officer told investigators that he spotted two copper-colored rifle casings near the spot where the FBI agents were standing. The Hostage Rescue Team has used copper- colored casings, former agents said; the Oregon state police use only silver-colored casings. The copper casings were never recovered.
Meanwhile, the Portland Oregonian reported Tuesday that FBI surveillance video taken after the shooting shows the agents searching the area with flashlights and huddling. One of them then bends over twice and appears to be picking up something.
On Wednesday, a law enforcement official confirmed the video account. If allegations of a coverup are determined to be true, the incident would be hugely embarrassing to the FBI and deal a devastating blow to the FBI team’s reputation.

Poll: Donald Trump Hits 65 Percent in New York, More than 50 Percent Ahead of Ted Cruz
A new poll out on Thursday obliterates the latest mainstream media narrative confronting billionaire Donald Trump: That he can’t get majorities, but can only get pluralities, in election results.
The poll of New York state, conducted by Boston’s Emerson College, has Trump dominating his only two remaining competitors in the Empire State with 65 percent of Republicans there backing him. Only 12 percent back, Trump’s closest competitor, and just one percent support Ohio Gov. John Kasich.
The poll was conducted over three days, March 14 to March 16, during two days of which was still in the race. Rubio dropped out on the evening of March 15 after an abysmal performance in his home state of Florida, where Trump walloped him by more than double digits. In the portion of the poll conducted before Rubio suspended his campaign, the pro-amnesty Floridian got just four percent in New York. Nineteen percent chose someone else or were undecided.

Bill Gates Buys Street in Wellington, Fla.
Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates reportedly is going to buy an entire street for his winter home in Wellington, Fla.
Two real estate sources told Jose Lambiet's Gossip Extra that the world's richest man is in the process of buying his entire street after spending the last three winters at his ranch at 3155 Mallet Hill Court.
Gates has contracts on two of his neighbors’ properties that close by the end of the month and is negotiating for three vacant lots, the report said. The shopping spree could cost Gates about $30 million.

US Is Exporting Its Oil Everywhere
Three months since the U.S. lifted a 40-year ban on oil exports, American crude is flowing to virtually every corner of the market and reshaping the world’s energy map.
Overseas sales, which started on Dec. 31 with a small cargo aboard the Theo T tanker, have been picking up speed. Oil companies including Exxon Mobil Corp and China Petroleum and Chemical Corp have joined independent traders such as Vitol Group BV and Trafigura Ltd Pet. in exporting American crude.
The "growing volumes of exports" from the U.S. are now "spooking the markets," Amrita Sen, chief oil analyst at consultants Energy Aspects Ltd. in London, said in a note. The "flurry of export activity" is helping to support spot oil prices in the U.S. relative to contracts for later delivery, she wrote.

Paul Ryan on Dealing With Trump Presidency: 'We'll Make It Work'
House Speaker Paul Ryan has criticized his party's presidential front-runner Donald Trump on banning Muslims and not speaking out as forcefully as he would like against white supremacist supporters, but he assured CNBC's John Harwood on Thursday he will be able to work with Trump if he wins the Oval Office.
"We'll make it work if it happens," Ryan said on CNBC.com's "Speakeasy with John Harwood."
"I'm going to speak my mind," Ryan said "I'm going to defend conservatism as I understand it. I'm going to defend our ideas as the Republican Party. But we're going to have to work with whoever our nominee is."
Harwood asked if Ryan is looking at funding Trump's border wall as part of his agenda, but Ryan quickly noted that "we're not going to pay for that, recall?"

Wicomico County Elected School Board Passes House Of Delegates Today
Will the Bill finally go to referendum?
While Norm Conway and Senator Jim Mathias have held this decision hostage for years, the House of Delegates finally passed the Bill today and it now heads to the Senate. Should the Senate move it forward and Governor Hogan agree, (which is a no brainer) the bill will finally go to referendum and you will have three choices.
1. Governor Appointed
2. Fully Elected School Board
3. Hybrid
Senator Mathias held it back the last time stating there hadn't been enough open meetings on the matter. We at Salisbury News had immediately argued, why not let the VOTERS decide!
Nevertheless, it is now headed to the Senate and if Mathias and Co. hold it off again, one can easily predict that this will be Mathias' last term.

Subject: Taxpayers Fund Job Bank for Dem, Clinton Groups
Taxpayers are funding a website where federal employees can find work electing Democratic candidates and organizing advocacy campaigns in support of left-wing legislation, a review of the website reveals.
Employers currently listing jobs on the site include a Democratic campaign vendor, groups that have financed the cycle’s largest pro-Hillary Clinton Super PAC, activist organizations lobbying Congress for environmental regulations, and an arm of the Clinton family’s network of charitable groups.
The site is hosted, maintained, and promoted by the Peace Corps, and offers job opportunities for volunteers returning from postings overseas. Its guidelines explicitly prohibit political job listings, but that rule does not appear to have been enforced with much vigor.
“Run a Campaign Office for the 2016 Elections!” bills the headline of one job listing on the Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV) Career Link website.
That listing advertises a canvass director position with Work for Progress, a campaign vendor that has worked on clients’ behalves to elect Democratic candidates at the state and federal levels.
“Canvass directors will help us elect candidates who will fight to reverse global warming, get big money out of politics and help young people deal with the rising cost of college and student debt,” the job listing says.

Grassley: 'If I can meet with a dictator,' I can meet SCOTUS nominee
Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) suggested Thursday that if he is willing to meet with a "dictator," he would meet with Supreme Court nominee Merrick Garland.
"If I can meet with a dictator in Uganda, I can surely meet with a decent person in America," Grassley told CNN. "I want to make it clear that the message we told him on the phone yesterday — I will tell him face-to-face."
While Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) and other Republicans have refused any in-person meeting with a President Obama nominee, Grassley is one of approximately 10 senators who have suggested they would be willing to meet with Garland.

Obama to Visit Britain, Saudi Arabia After Insulting Them
The White House said Wednesday that President Obama will travel next month to Britain and Saudi Arabia, two allies still smarting from the president’s undiplomatic criticisms in a recent interview.
Mr. Obama, who referred to the Saudis as “free riders” who don’t contribute enough to Middle East stability, will visit the Kingdom on April 21and participate in a summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council. The gathering will be hosted by Saudi King Salman and will focus on steps to intensify pressure on the Islamic State.
Mr. Obama then will travel to the United Kingdom for a meeting and press conference with Prime Minister David Cameron, whom the president criticized for becoming “distracted” during the 2011 military campaign in Libya. He also said in the interview published in the Atlantic that Britain and the U.S. might lose their “special relationship” if the U.K. didn’t devote more money to defense.
The British also are wary of Mr. Obama interfering in their June referendum on whether to remain in the European Union; the president is urging Britain to stay in the bloc.

Hillary Clinton says U.S.-Mexico border is now secure
Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton said Thursday that the southwest border is secure enough that the government should now turn its attention to trying to legalize illegal immigrants.
In an interview with KTAR radio in Phoenix, Mrs. Clinton said improvements under President George W. Bush and President Obama, including several hundred miles of fencing, have cut net illegal immigration from Mexico to zero.
“Now I think it’s time to turn our attention to comprehensive immigration reform,” she said, using the term immigrant-rights advocates use for legislation to legalize the 11 million illegal immigrants now in the country.
Her evaluation of the border stands in stark contrast to Republican presidential candidates who say the border is not secure, pointing to increasing seizures of drugs and to the renewed surge of Central American illegal immigrants.
But Mrs. Clinton said they’re ignoring how bad it used to be during her husband’s administration.

Subject: Obama Admin Stalling Investigation Into U.S. ‘Ransom Payment’ to Iran
The Obama administration is being accused of stalling a congressional investigation into a purported $1.7 billion taxpayer-funded “ransom payment” to Iran in exchange for the release of several U.S. prisoners, according to documents and information provided to the Washington Free Beacon by sources familiar with the matter.
The administration initially came under fire from congressional critics in January, when it was announced that the United States had settled a longstanding legal dispute with Iran over the breakdown in a decades-old arms sale.
Under the terms of the settlement, Iran was to be paid a $400 million balance and an additional $1.3 billion in interest from a taxpayer fund maintained by the Treasury Department, a State Department official confirmed to the Free Beacon in January.
The settlement was reached outside of the recently implemented nuclear deal and is separate from the $150 billion in unfrozen cash assets the United States is obligated to give to Iran under that agreement, the official said.

Subject: Trump Rated the Sixth Highest Global Risk
A London-based research group has estimated that Donald Trump winning the US presidency is the sixth largest risk facing the future of the world.
The surprising ranking by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), reported on Thursday by BBC, is backed by warnings that the real estate mogul could disrupt the global economy and spike political and security dangers domestically in the US.
According to the report, which is based on impact and probability, a Trump victory gets a global risk rating of 12, with 25 being the highest possible risk.
That 12 rating is the same level as "the rising threat of jihadi terrorism destabilizing the global economy." Likewise the EIU posits that Trump would be more dangerous than Britain leaving the European Union (EU), or an armed clash in the South China Sea where superpowers China and Japan are tensely facing off against one another.
Trump was ranked just under the risk of the EU fracturing, while China experiencing a "hard landing" and Russia's Ukraine and Syria interventions sparking a new "cold war" top the list.
"Thus far Mr. Trump has given very few details of his policies - and these tend to be prone to constant revision," wrote the EIU in its report.

Ceasefire in Syria: Bad for the Jews?
Israel has reason to fear that the ceasefire declared in Syria could end up strengthening Iran, Assad forces, and Hezbollah.
A position paper by the Tel Aviv-based Institute for National Security Studies posits that Israel has acted prudently and wisely during the recent hostilities in Syria. The Jewish State chose to remain uninvolved, yet maintained proper relations with Russia without harming its strategic relations with the United States. Israel was even able to coordinate tactically with the Russians during infrequent airstrikes in Syrian airspace.
However, the experts say, the ceasefire is liable to have negative implications for Israel, for several reasons.
For one thing, the situation that has now been frozen on the ground serves to strengthen the pro-Assad coalition and Iranian dominance in Syria.
In addition, Israel will now find it difficult to strike from the air to thwart the transfer of advanced weapons from Syria to Hezbollah. Such strikes are liable to lead to accusations of Israeli violations of the ceasefire or of creating friction with Russia. The latter has deployed its S-400 advanced air defense system in Syria, covering both Lebanese and Syrian skies. These are not being removed, at least for the time being, by Russia, which has just begun pulling out troops and forces from Syria.

Subject: Israel Presents Red Lines to Russia on Golan, Iran
Israeli President Reuven Rivlin met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Wednesday ahead of a planned Russian withdrawal from Syria.
Rivlin conveyed to the Russian leader Israel’s concerns about Iranian activity in Syria, and the active role the Hezbollah terror group has assumed in the Syrian civil war.
The Israeli leader also touched on the future status of the Golan Heights, which Syria continues to claim as sovereign territory, despite Israel’s annexation of the area in 1981. Rivlin reportedly told Putin that borders of both Syria and Iraq were arbitrarily drawn during the First World War, and did not reflect present realities.
The Israeli President emphasized Israel’s concerns, laying out the country’s red lines vis-à-vis Syria. Israel would not accept, Rivlin told Putin, the presence of Iranian armed forces near the Golan Heights. Rivlin expressed hope that the United Nations peacekeeping force separating Israel and Syria would return, restoring the buffer between the two countries that has been absent since 2013.
Rivlin also noted that the future of the Golan Heights was non-negotiable, and that the area must remain under Israeli control.
Putin told Rivlin that Russia was committed to Israel’s security.

You'll Never Believe Which GOP Hopeful Sen. Lindsey Graham Is Raising Money For!
In a sign of just how much the Republican presidential primary has turned the party on its head, Sen. Lindsey Graham will host a fundraiser on Monday in support of Sen. Ted Cruz.
A draft of the invitation, obtained first by CNN, invites guests to "honor and support a great friend of Israel and the Jewish people," at a meet-and-greet event that will take place during the AIPAC policy conference in Washington next week.
Graham, who ended his bid for the Republican nomination last December, originally threw his support behind former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and campaign for him in South Carolina.
Support for Cruz is an about-face for the South Carolina senator, who compared nominating GOP front-runer Donald Trump or Cruz to being shot or poisoned. He recently mocked Cruz's unpopularity among his colleagues, saying earlier this month: "If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you."

Is This The Bombshell That Will Bring Down Hillary?
The secret-sharing website WikiLeaks has published a searchable archive of more than 30,000 Hillary Clinton emails that have been released by the State Department.
Unveiled on Wednesday, the archive allows users to browse through 30,322 emails and attachments sent to or from Clinton's private email server while she was secretary of state. In all, the archive comprises 50,547 pages spanning from June 30, 2010, to Aug. 12, 2014. According to the site, Clinton authored 7,570 of those documents.
The State Department began releasing the emails in May of last year pursuant to a Freedom of Information Act request, but it is the first time that the messages have been made easily available in a searchable format. The final PDFs of all the emails were just made available by the State Department last month.

You Won't Believe Who's Leading the Charge Against Obama's Amnesty
Wow, this is a surprise. Paul Ryan, once a Tea Party favorite who's been more recently maligned as a RINO, is leading the charge to get the House on record against Obama's amnesty. As Townhall notes:
House Speaker Paul Ryan is leading an effort on Capitol Hill to stop what he believes is an unlawful push by President Obama to expand benefits to illegal immigrants and protect them from deportation. Ryan, along with 233 of his colleagues, filed an amicus brief in United States. v. Texas, which is currently being debated in the Supreme Court.
Twenty-six states have signed on to the lawsuit against President Obama's executive amnesty. Ryan spoke for the plaintiffs this week, calling the president's plan a threat to Article 1 of the Constitution.
“I am asking the whole House to go on record as an institution,” Ryan said on the floor.
“If we’re going to maintain the principle of self-government, if we’re going to maintain this critical founding principle of government by consent of the governed, then the legislative branch needs to be writing our laws — not the executive branch, and certainly not a branch of unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats,” the Speaker said.
Five Republicans broke ranks with their party and declined to support the resolution, including Reps. Carlos Curbelo (Fla.), Mario Díaz-Balart (Fla.), Bob Dold (Ill.), Richard Hanna (N.Y.) and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (Fla.).
While Ryan has received criticism in the past for acting too lenient when it comes to amnesty, perhaps this hardline stance will convince conservatives he means business.
This is an incredibly positive step that should put Democrats on the defensive, particularly as Donald Trump's candidacy gains steam in areas where Democrats might disapprove of Hillary Clinton's preference for open borders. Watching the Democratic frontrunner try to squirm her way through this after Republicans take positive legislative steps will be quite an adventure that only stands to benefit a GOP that seems to have found its footing on immigration.

Obama Admin: "Genocide? So What?"
In a move that will come as a shock to anyone, President Red Line actually labeled the wholesale slaughter of Christians in the Middle East as a genocide. But in typical Obama form, he followed it up by promising to do exactly nothing to help them. As Townhall reports:
After months of pressure from humanitarian groups, the State Department finally labeled ISIS’ slaughter of Christians and religious minorities genocide. The decision was welcomed by anyone concerned with religious freedom, but the question becomes: Will the White House follow up the label with action?
“Secretary Kerry announced what I thought was a powerful speech,” Earnest said at a White House press briefing on Thursday.
The secretary of state’s using the term “genocide,” Earnest said, is “significant” and “reflects the gravity of the situation.”
This new label, Earnest indicated, will continue to help them build a strong moral case against ISIL and destroy and degrade the organization.
That's all well and good, but does it change anything on the ground, a reporter wondered.
The next step for the United States, Earnest said, is to cooperate with independent efforts to "investigate" genocide.
Again, another reporter wanted to know if he foresees the Obama administration ramping up military action against the terror group.
“The president’s going to rely on the good advice of his military commanders,” Earnest responded, before noting the 10,000 airstrikes they have already launched against ISIL.
“We have had success” in building the military might of our coalition with fighters on the ground “fighting for their own country.” We are making it harder for ISIL to recruit fighters and finance their effort, he continued.
When it was time to let millions of illegal aliens and thousands of Syrian Islamic refugees into our country, President Obama couldn't move fast enough. Now that it's time to protect the world's most vulnerable, he's nowhere to be found. Are you surprised?

The Liberal Media's Hypocrisy on This Key Issue
It appears the full court press is on. Senate Republicans, now faced with an esteemed nominee in Merrick Garland, will be forced to slog through a coordinated campaign by liberal Democrats and their allies in the media to give Barack Obama what he wants- another liberal on the court. The press now says this is only fair, but just a few short years ago, they were singing an entirely different tune. As Townhall notes:
Senate Democrats are trying to cast Republicans as being remiss in their constitutional duty to consider Judge Merrick Garland’s nomination to the Supreme Court (they’re not). And the mainstream media, by and large, would support that false narrative. The truth is Senate Republicans are acting no differently with these nominations concerning the politics of it all. Furthermore,The New York Times editorial board didn't seem so aghast at Republican opposition back in the 1980s, where they openly said that Senate Democrats have “every right to resist” Robert Bork’s nomination:
…[T]he President [Reagan] chose Robert Bork and thus chose angry confrontation. For Judge Bork is not merely a conservative. He has long been a flamboyant provocateur, with a lifetime of writings to prove it. As a result, Mr. Reagan got the rancorous political battle he asked for. Appointment to the Court is a political act yet the Court's authority depends in large measure on public confidence in its fairness and aloofness from the political cockpit. There's something to lose when a nomination battle turns brutally partisan.
The President's supporters insist vehemently that, having won the 1984 election, he has every right to try to change the Court's direction. Yes, but the Democrats won the 1986 election, regaining control of the Senate, and they have every right to resist. This is not the same Senate that confirmed William Rehnquist as Chief Justice and Antonin Scalia as an associate justice last year.
Let this be a reminder: any time you see calls for the GOP to stop being childish, to reach across the aisle, to do the right thing, understand that Democrats are rarely, if ever, asked to do the same. and never do.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade Winners Announced
OCEAN CITY - While all who participated in and attended the 35th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Ocean City on Saturday were winners, the Delmarva Irish-American Club recognized several entries with special awards.
Despite gray skies and cooler temperatures, well over 100,000 revelers young and old crammed into Ocean City on Saturday for the 35th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, the second largest in Maryland. Traffic started building all morning and by the time the parade began at noon, thousands found their spots along Coastal Highway and the party headquarters at 45th Street, turning the resort into a sea of green and a festival of song, dance, music and revelry.
From modest beginnings in 1980, when the fledgling DIAC first conceived the idea of a St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Ocean City, the annual event has grown to become the second largest of its kind in Maryland. Just a few vehicles and a handful of participants marched down Coastal Highway in that very first parade, but the event now includes around 125 entries.

What are Democrats Trying to Hide
The office of the Inspector General exists to hold government agencies accountable and root out waste, fraud, and abuse. But apparently, Senate Democrats have no interest in a bill that would allow them to do just that. As the Daily Caller notes:
Senate Democratic Minority Leader Harry Reid refuses to say why for months he has blocked a bipartisan bill designed to ensure inspectors general access all of the official documents they need to fight waste, fraud and abuse in the federal government.Three months ago, the Nevada senator blocked an attempt to pass Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley’s IG Empowerment Act with unanimous consent, which would make it crystal clear that the 1978 Inspector General Act gives presidentially appointed IGs authority to access all agency records for investigations and audits.
Reid still refuses to change his position or explain his objections. A spokesman for Reid did not respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s requests for an explanation of Reid’s opposition to the bill. The measure is co-sponsored by Democratic senators Tammy Baldwin and Claire McCaskill.“I cannot imagine anything controversial about wanting inspectors general to have access to the people and documents they need to do their jobs for the American people,” Republican Sen. Ron Johnson, another co-sponsor of the bill and chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs, told TheDCNF.
It's quite simple. Government is corrupt. There's a bill on the table that would help bring sunlight to its dark doings, and the Democrats, the party of backroom wheeling and dealing, are terrified of it.

Post-Labor Day school start bill dies in state committee
Despite local support for late open, Senate rejects measure in split decision
For the second year running, legislation requiring all Maryland districts to start school after Labor Day has failed to make it out of committee.
In a 5-5 vote of the Senate Education, Health and Environmental Affairs Committee, with one absence, SB767 was given an unfavorable review, labeling the bill as nonviable and making it nearly impossible for it to proceed to a full vote of the senate.
This committee also killed a proposed exemption for Worcester County for providing recycling containers and services to special events held on public property earlier this session.
“We had an excellent hearing. We had an array of supporters from across the state. The vote total, speaking for itself, is a gain from last year,” Sen. Jim Mathias, primary sponsor of the bill, said.

Trump's Path to Victory
A great deal of confusion exists over whether Donald Trump can reach the necessary 1,237 committed delegate threshold to clinch the Republican presidential nomination before the Republican National Convention begins in mid-July. Yesterday, the New York Times released an analysis entitled “The Upshot ”http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/03/16/upshot/trump-cruz-kasich-republican-delegate-lead.html in which they claim that should Trump continue upon his present course he will secure a first ballot victory. Such is not correct.
In actuality, Trump would have to commit 55.3% of the available delegates, or 65.5% of those delegates in the “bound” category, now that the delegate count has been adjusted upward to 693 Trump votes. The changes come because more unbound delegates are announcing support for Trump and the Missouri results are largely settled.
At this point, Mr. Trump has secured the votes from 46.5% of the 1,489 delegates who are committed by law, party rule, or announcement, though the unbound supporters have the right to change their vote. Continuing at this pace would give him 1,150 delegate votes, or 87 short of the necessary plateau.
The Times’ writers reason that victories in Arizona, New York, and California would put him over the top. This would likely be the case if the three states were Winner-Take-All. They are not. Arizona, up next on March 22nd, is a Winner-Take-All, and the first place finisher will capture all of the state’s 58 delegates. But New York and California use very different delegate apportionment systems.
New York’s is more complicated, as the Republican National Committee apportionment rule listed below explains (NY has 95 delegates, 11 At-Large (AL), 81 in the 27 congressional districts (CD), and 3 unbound RNC delegates):
AL – Proportional based on statewide vote with a 20% threshold. If candidate receives > 50% of the statewide vote, candidate receives all AL delegates.

Auditor: CMS Was ‘Passive’ in Preventing Fraud in Administering Obamacare
Report finds 34% of applications had inconsistencies, involving $1.7 billion in subsidies
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services was “passive” in its approach to identifying and preventing fraud in administering Obamacare, according to testimony from the Government Accountability Office.
According to the report, the agency must verify an individual’s application information to determine he or she is eligible for health care coverage. The individual must be lawfully present in the United States and may not be incarcerated unless they are awaiting a disposition of charges.
The agency detects application “inconsistencies” when an individual’s personal information is not correctly matched against the data from other federal agencies such as the IRS, the Social Security Administration, and the Department of Homeland Security.
“[The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid] did not terminate or adjust subsidies for any applications with incarceration or Social Security number inconsistencies,” the audit states. “[Agency] officials told us that they currently do not plan to take any actions on individuals with unresolved Social Security number or incarceration inconsistencies.”
The investigators found that for coverage year 2014 the agency did not resolve about one-third of applications with inconsistencies, which involved $1.7 billion in associated subsidies.

Napolitano: The Heckler’s Veto
On Feb. 7, 1946, Arthur Terminiello, a Roman Catholic priest who was a fierce opponent of communism and believed that President Harry Truman was too comfortable with it, gave an incendiary speech in a Chicago hall that his sponsors had rented.
The hall held about 800 people, but nearly 2,400 showed up. Father Terminiello’s opponents outnumbered his supporters by a 2-1 ratio. The atmosphere in the hall was electric, with almost everyone present taking sides for or against this priest — all under the watchful eyes of Chicago police.
The speech delighted the priest’s supporters and enraged his detractors. When it became apparent that violence might break out, the Chicago police approached Terminiello while he was speaking and asked him to stop and leave the building.
He refused to leave and resumed his speech. The police prediction soon came to pass. The fiery priest ignited the hatred of his adversaries, many of whom seemed to have come to that venue to silence him. The shouters hurled chairs, rushed the stage and attempted to attack him.
The police safely escorted Terminiello out of the hall and then, in the presence of the many rioters who by now had spilled out onto a public street, arrested him for inciting a riot. The charge was defined in Illinois in the mid-1940s so as to criminalize any behavior that intentionally arouses the public to anger or brings about public unrest.
The police did not arrest any of the rioters who smashed windows, destroyed the stage and assaulted the priest. They saw him arrested for his words that they hated.

Liberty Tax Franchise Owner, Employees Allegedly Filed Fraudulent Returns, Pocketed Refund Money
Nine Liberty Tax franchisee employees were indicted this week on tax fraud charges.
The indictment was reached by a grand jury following an investigation led by Attorney General Brian Frosh. Lateisha Vanessa Kone, a Baltimore woman who owned Liberty Tax Service franchises, and eight of her employees face felony and misdemeanor charges related to tax fraud.
A number of Liberty Tax locations have been the target of orders issued by Comptroller Peter Franchot halting the processing of electronic returns. In a statement Friday, Franchot said the indictments send a "clear, serious message."
“The nine individuals charged today not only violated our laws, they also violated the trust placed in them by their clients," Franchot said. "The ringleader and her associates targeted the most vulnerable – the homeless, disabled, drug addicts, and poor people already gasping for stability. They lured victims by paying them $50, then submitted false tax returns to make a profit with disregard to the consequence to their clients."

Cruz: Expand Charter Schools, Home Schools, Private Schools and Vouchers
(CNSNews) - "The most important reform we can do in education after getting the federal government out of it is expand school choice," Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said at Thursday's CNN-hosted debate at the University of Miami. He called for the expansion of charter schools, home schooling, vouchers and scholarships.
"Common Core is a disaster," Cruz said, referring to the education standards the Obama administration has pressed the states to adopt.
"And if I am elected president, in the first days as president, I will direct the Department of Education that Common Core ends that day."
Cruz said the Obama administration abused its executive power by using federal funds "to effectively blackmail and force the states to adopt Common Core. Now, the one silver lining of Obama abusing executive power is that everything done with executive power can be undone with executive power, and I intend to do that," he said.
"Beyond that, though, I intend to work to abolish the federal Department of Education and send education back to the states and back to the local governments.

"And let me say finally, the most important reform we can do in education after getting the federal government out of it, is expand school choice --

Anonymous Launches Cyber War Against Trump
Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump is already dealing with rivals Ted Cruz and John Kasich, but he might soon have to deal with another threat: The group of hackers known as Anonymous.
The hacking group is urging its followers to launch a barrage of cyber attacks on April 1 to take down Trump’s websites and expose the “appalling” GOP presidential candidate, The Hill reported Tuesday.
The call was made before Trump won several more states on “Super Tuesday 3”, but that undoubtedly will encourage the hackers even more.
“We need you to shut down his websites, research and expose what he doesn’t want the public to know,” a person wearing the group’s trademark Guy Fawkes mask said in a video posted to an Anonymous YouTube channel. “We need you to dismantle his campaign and sabotage his brand.”
In a separate written statement, Anonymous encouraged hackers to target the Trump's websites, and it also released Trump’s alleged personal details, such as his cellphone number and Social Security number, to help hackers harass the Republican presidential front-runner.
“This is not a warning, this is a declaration of total war,” the video says. “Operation Trump engaged.”

Terrorists Stab Female Soldier As She Gets Off A Bus – She Responds With This! GAME OVER.
Two Palestinian terrorists attacked an Israeli female soldier as she got off a bus… she shot both of them dead on the spot. Good for her. She is seriously injured, but is expected to survive. That is one brave and lethal woman. Obviously, both dirt bags were pronounced dead at the scene. You can see one of them who was clutching a knife until the moment he was dispatched to hell where he belongs. The attack was the latest in a series of attacks against Israeli soldiers or citizens by Palestinian terrorists. Many of them have used knives or cars as the implements of death, killing over 30 Israelis in the process.
From the Conservative Tribune:
It was a sadly familiar scene — an Israeli soldier stabbed by Palestinian terrorists. However, what started as another tragic case of Islamic jihadists getting the upper hand on the Israelis turned into a story of bravery, as the soldier managed to kill the terrorists.
Moreover, their death was caught on video and posted on the Internet. We must warn you that it is graphic, but it shows what the consequences for jihadists and their sick ideology are.
According to i24 News, the incident happened at Ariel Junction in the West Bank yesterday afternoon. The twoPalestinian terroristsstabbed and injured the female soldier near a group of Jewish settlements in the hotly-contested area. The stabbing took place as the soldier was disembarking a bus.

Calls Grow in Caribbean Nation for Gay U.S. Ambassador's Removal
(CNSNews) – A little over two years after Obama campaign bundler and LGBT advocate James “Wally” Brewster arrived in the Dominican Republic, accompanied by his spouse, Bob Satawake, to assume his duties as U.S. ambassador, calls are growing in the conservative country for his recall.
Church leaders, politicians and education officials in the Caribbean island nation are clamoring for his removal, and a petition was lodged with the White House this week accusing him of promoting an “LGBT agenda inconsistent with the Christian cultural values and tradition of the Dominican Republic.”
Brewster was not the first openly gay man appointed as a U.S. ambassador – President Obama nominated no fewer than five in 2013 alone. But while others were accredited to Western countries with liberal views on homosexuality he was named envoy to a developing nation, 95 percent of whose 10 million people are Roman Catholic.

Subject: $10 Mil to End “Diaper Disparity” after Free Diaper Laws Fail Twice in Congress
On two different occasions Congress has rejected laws to give “needy” families government-subsidized diapers—in addition to free food and medical care—but President Obama is determined to make it happen, allocating $10 million in taxpayer money to the highly unpopular cause. The multi-million-dollar initiative is being promoted by the White House as essential to eradicate a national “diaper divide” and the goal is to abolish “diaper disparity” by expanding access to affordable diapers for America’s poorest families.
Behind this high-priced mission is Cecilia Muñoz, the White House Domestic Policy Director. A renowned open borders lobbyist in Washington D.C., Muñoz was vice president of National Council of La Raza (NCLR) before Obama brought her on as White House Director of Intergovernmental Affairs. A few years later the president promoted her to the more powerful and prestigious post of top advisor on domestic issues. Muñoz wields tremendous power, coordinating the policy-making process and supervising the execution of domestic policy in the White House. If she wants Uncle Sam to give poor families free diapers, it’s safe to bet that it will happen even if Congress has twice nixed the scandalous idea.
To get the ball rolling, the administration announced this month that it plans to spend $10 million to “test effective ways to get diapers to families in need and document the health improvements that result.” Because it’s unlikely that Congress will pass a law to accomplish this, Muñoz admits the administration is getting creative and using every tool it has to help solve this dire problem. The low-income families that will benefit from the administration’s diaper initiative already get essentials like food and health insurance from the government through a variety of federal programs such as Medicaid, the nutrition program known as Women Infants and Children (WIC) and food stamps. Diapers are just as imperative to babies’ health, according to Muñoz, who says that “no family should have to choose between keeping their babies healthy and keeping the lights or heat on.”
The costly initiative comes just months after Congress resoundingly rejected the second measure in four years to grant poor families government-subsidized diapers. The legislation, Hygiene Assistance for Families of Infants and Toddlers Act, was introduced in late November and would have allowed states to provide diapers or a diaper subsidy for low-income families.

Subject: ICE admits catch-and-release of convicted murderers
Immigration and Customs Enforcement director Sarah Saldana acknowledged Thursday that her agency released convicted murderers who went on to commit more violent crimes, but she explained that most of the releases were mandatory, and defended the risk assessments used for more discretionary releases.
Saldana was confronted about the release of 124 criminal illegal immigrants who were detained and "released to subsequently be arrested for a homicide-repeated crime" by Rep. Andy Harris, D.-Md., at a House Appropriations hearing on Thursday.
"So let me get it straight, there were really two people who were held in detention with previous convictions of homicide who were released to subsequently be arrested for a homicide-related crime?" he asked, reading from an ICE letter to Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley. "Is that right, is that what your letter implies?"
"If that's the facts of those two cases, yes," Saldana replied. Harris allowed that the language of the letter might mean that released one person convicted of two murders. "I can't tell you, to distinguish, but I understand your point," she said.

“The positive impact on public safety made by the Maryland State Police only happens because of the dedication to duty our troopers and civilian employees exhibit each day,” Colonel Pallozzi said. “The level of commitment, hard work, and leadership of each of these employees during the past year has been exemplary and has contributed significantly to our ability to serve and protect the citizens of our state. I congratulate each of them and am grateful for their willingness to do their best for the people of Maryland.”
TFC Casey Ruth is the first female to win the statewide Trooper of the Year award. She was a member of the 139th Trooper Candidate Class and graduated in early 2013. She was assigned to the Leonardtown Barrack and has worked there ever since.
In 2015, TFC Ruth led the Field Operations Bureau in criminal arrests with 72 and served an additional 21 arrest warrants. During one incident last year, she was able to successfully and peacefully talk a suicidal woman out of her residence. TFC Ruth’s skill helped avoid a barricade situation and prevented the woman from harming herself.

Lead taints drinking water in hundreds of schools, day cares across USA
SOME 350 WATER SYSTEMS THAT FAILED LEAD TESTS IN RECENT YEARS PROVIDE DRINKING WATER TO SCHOOLS AND CHILD-CARE CENTERS.
Whenever Jamison Rich got thirsty after gym or recess, he took a drink from the nearest water fountain at his elementary school.
Only last month did his family learn that the water bubbling out of some fountains contained high levels of lead, a notorious toxin that can silently damage developing brains and slow growth in little bodies like his.
Recently, a blood test on the 7-year-old found more than twice the average level of lead for young children, even though as far as anyone knows he's never come in contact with lead paint or tainted soil.
