GAO Report Finds Thousands Of Government Workers On Paid Leave, Costing Taxpayers Millions

WASHINGTON – Thousands of federal workers who have been put on administrative leave for more than a month have been allowed to collect a paycheck, accrue vacation days and pensions benefits while taxpayers were forced to foot the $775 million bill, according to a new report from the Government Accountability Office.

Some government employees who broke the rules – meaning they were cited for being untrustworthy or had ongoing issues with co-workers or their bosses - were allowed to remain on leave for large chunks of time while they challenged their demotions, the 62-page report said.

The study, released publicly on Monday, marks the first time auditors have taken a look at the scope of administrative leave and its cost to taxpayers.

A Letter To The Editor: City stinks!!!!!

After reporting a street sinkhole May 28th this year. The city came and repaired the street which also involved tearing up the sidewalk infront of my house. The city workers said they would be back in 3-4 days to replace the sidewalks. That was 5 months ago and even with 8 calls involving 2 conversations with Salisbury public works, the sidewalks are still not repaired. As you can see in one shot the water meter sits 2 inches off the ground. My insurance states that this is a liability for me! I have bikes, college students, children all walking on this sidewalk and what should happen if one of them gets injured? I keep getting promised that this will be done! The last call the man recognized the fact that they were putting in handicapped curbs down the street and perhaps they should come and complete my sidewalks but that never happened. I would be more patient if it wasn't a liability for my homeowners insurance and a safety issue.. Who do I need to call to get this done????!!!!!

Cannibals With Cutlery

Carolyn Brewer was startled by the unannounced presence of an armed man in her bedroom. Her mood didn’t improve when the intruder sternly ordered her, “You don’t get up.” That directive was issued in the interest of “officer safety,” which presumably would have been undermined if the 74-year-old woman had somehow roused herself from her sickbed.

“I was in bed and it was dark, and he came in and announced who he was,” Brewer recounted to me. “He had a big spotlight and just said, `It’s Fish and Game, we came here we have to search your room.’ I asked why, but he wouldn’t tell me why. I told him that I’m a widow, and I’m sick, and that I didn’t want him in my room. But he searched it anyway.”

Brewer rents a room in the Caldwell, Idaho home of Kenneth and Carrol Watson. She was sleeping when Lori Alley, one of the couple’s adult daughters, knocked on the bedroom door to tell her that an officer from the Idaho Department of Fish & Game wanted to search the room. Brewer groggily replied that she wanted to be left alone, and went back to sleep. A few minutes later, she told me, the officer “startled me awake” by barging in despite the elderly woman’s desire to be left in peace.

The imposition was brief, but thoroughly unpleasant. The officer went through Brewer’s closet and tried to look under her bed. While pawing through the victim’s belongings the officer knocked over a heater, an act of heedless negligence that could easily have led to a catastrophic fire (for which he would not have been held liable, given that he is imbued with that magic property called “qualified immunity”).

Finding nothing of interest, he left without a word of explanation or apology, leaving a traumatized septuagenarian in his wake.

Michele Bachmann Given Security Detail Over ISIL Threat

Federal law enforcement officials are taking an ISIL threat against Michele Bachmann so seriously that Capitol Police have given the Minnesota Republican her own security detail.

An online threat against Bachmann emerged recently, according to multiple law enforcement officials familiar with the situation. Last week, Bachmann was provided a security detail in response, according to the sources.

Members of the U.S. Capitol Police’s Dignitary Protection Division were briefed on the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. The police security will continue until Bachmann, who will retire at the end of this Congress, is no longer in office.

A police detail of this type typically means 24-hour protection when a member of Congress is on Capitol Hill or back in the home district.

Mental Health Issues Put 34,500 on New York’s No-Guns List

A newly created database of New Yorkers deemed too mentally unstable to carry firearms has grown to roughly 34,500 names, a previously undisclosed figure that has raised concerns among some mental health advocates that too many people have been categorized as dangerous.

The database, established in the aftermath of the mass shooting in 2012 at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., and maintained by the state Division of Criminal Justice Services, is the result of the Safe Act. It is an expansive package of gun control measures pushed through by the administration of Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo. The law, better known for its ban on assault weapons, compels licensed mental health professionals in New York to report to the authorities any patient “likely to engage in conduct that would result in serious harm to self or others.”

But the number of entries in the database highlights the difficulty of America’s complicated balancing act between public safety and the right to bear arms when it comes to people with mental health issues. “That seems extraordinarily high to me,” said Sam Tsemberis, a former director of New York City’s involuntary hospitalization program for homeless and dangerous people, now the chief executive of Pathways to Housing, which provides housing to the mentally ill. “Assumed dangerousness is a far cry from actual dangerousness.”

12 Charts That Show The Permanent Damage That Has Been Done To The U.S. Economy

Most people that discuss the “economic collapse” focus on what is coming in the future. And without a doubt, we are on the verge of some incredibly hard times. But what often gets neglected is the immense permanent damage that has been done to the U.S. economy by the long-term economic collapse that we are already experiencing.

In this article I am going to share with you 12 economic charts that show that we are in much, much worse shape than we were five or ten years ago. The long-term problems that are eating away at the foundations of our economy like cancer have not been fixed. In fact, many of them continue to get even worse year after year. But because unprecedented levels of government debt and reckless money printing by the Federal Reserve have bought us a very short window of relative stability, most Americans don’t seem to concerned about our long-term problems. They seem to have faith that our “leaders” will be able to find a way to muddle through whatever challenges are ahead. Hopefully, this article will be a wake up call. The last major wave of the economic collapse did a colossal amount of damage to our economic foundations, and now the next major wave of the economic collapse is rapidly approaching.

#1 Employment

The mainstream media is constantly telling us about the “employment recovery” that is happening in the United States, but the truth is that it is just an illusion. As the chart below demonstrates, just prior to the last recession about 63 percent of all working age Americans had a job. During the last wave of the economic collapse, that number dropped to below 59 percent and stayed there for a very long time. In the past few months we have finally seen the employment-population ratio tick back up to 59 percent, but we are still far, far below where we used to be. To call the tiny little bump at the end of this chart a “recovery” is really an insult to our intelligence…

Jesus painting, Removed From School, Now On Lit Sign

NEW CONCORD, Ohio — Almost a year after a painting of Jesus was removed from a high school here, a sign showing the same image is on private property in view of the school.

The sign was finished Tuesday. It is lit from within, so it can be seen at night, said Jeanette Moll, a Zanesville, Ohio, lawyer who helped organize the effort to get the sign.

The image is the same as that of the Good Shepherd painting, which depicts Jesus in a field of lambs, that came under fire last year after a senior John Glenn High School in this town of 1,700 people about 70 miles east of Columbus, Ohio, asked for it to be taken down.

"We're excited to have this piece of our own history back up," Moll said.

The painting had been hanging in the school office since 1971, donated as a memorial to former English teacher Margaret Barnett, but the American Civil Liberties Union sent district officials a letter telling them they had to remove the painting by law.

Four frightening ways costume contact lenses can ruin vision

To avoid a real-life Halloween horror story - going blind because of a costume accessory - the Delaware Academy of Ophthalmology, along with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, is warning the public against wearing costume contact lenses purchased without a prescription. These illegally sold cosmetic lenses may not be sterile and can cause a host of serious eye problems capable of morphing a fun Halloween night into a nightmare.

Tiger eyes, checkered pupils: nonprescription decorative lenses (also called cosmetic, costume or plano contact lenses) come in many different patterns and colors. In 2005, after reports of them causing eye injuries and infections, the federal Food and Drug Administration classified all contact lenses as medical devices and restricted their distribution to licensed eye care professionals, effectively banning sales of non-prescription contact lenses. Despite that, these items remain available on the internet, in convenience stores and at flea markets.

Non-prescription decorative lenses can hurt eyes in several ways: scratches or corneal abrasions, eye sores called corneal ulcers which can scar over and permanently affect vision, infections known as keratitis, and blindness.

Here’s Info Justice Dept. Won’t Give Congress in Fast & Furious

For more than two years, the Justice Department has ignored Congressional requests to disclose where all of the Fast and Furious weapons are turning up. Now, documents withheld from Congress, but provided to me by a source, give a predictably disturbing picture of the violent landscape in which the weapons are being used.

Uriel Patino is a chief firearms trafficking suspect whom ATF secretly advised U.S. gun shops to sell weapons to. According to trace documents, guns that Patino trafficked are associated with 128 firearms traces to date, including 15 cases in 2014. A trace indicates a firearm likely turned up at a crime scene.

Among the Patino traces in 2014 are 11 incidents in Mexico and four in the U.S.

Police Saw Tons of Cars Whiz by Their Speed Trap but They Didn’t Pull Them Over. The Cops Probably Didn’t Expect Someone to Record Their Conversation About It.

If you try telling the state trooper who just pulled you over that you’re speeding because you’re late for a conference, you probably won’t receive any mercy.

But if you’re a fellow cop, you might not get pulled over in the first place.

A video posted to YouTube on October 8 contains police scanner chatter between an aircraft and waiting police on the ground in rural Washington state, capturing the officers’ reports on speeding vehicles — and their sad realization that the unsafe speeding cars were driven by fellow police, all late for a drug recognition conference.

Poll: Democratic Party hits 30-year low

Record 51% now have unfavorable impression

(ABC NEWS)
Barack Obama and his political party are heading into the midterm elections in trouble. The president’s 40 percent job approval rating in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll is the lowest of his career – and the Democratic Party’s popularity is its weakest in polling back 30 years, with more than half of Americans seeing the party unfavorably for the first time.

The Republican Party is even more unpopular. But benefitting from their supporters’ greater likelihood of voting, GOP candidates nonetheless hold a 50-43 percent lead among likely voters for U.S. House seats in the Nov. 4 election.

These and other results are informed by an array of public concerns on issues from the economy to international terrorism to the Ebola virus, crashing into a long-running crisis of confidence in the nation’s political leadership. Almost two-thirds say the country is headed seriously off on the wrong track. Even more, three-quarters, are dissatisfied with the way the political system is working.

Harris, Tilghman Present Differing Visions

WYE MILLS — It was a forum, not a debate, so the conversation stayed mostly civil in the Cadby Theatre at Chesapeake College on Sunday, Oct. 19. But Andy Harris, incumbent representative for Maryland’s 1st District in the U.S. House, and his challenger Bill Tilghman, set out distinctly different visions on policy.

The two candidates answered questions from the Leagues of Women Voters of Kent, Queen Anne’s and the Mid-Shore, which hosted the event. They also responded to questions from the audience.

On how to deal with the threat posed by Islamic State militants, Harris and Tilghman took markedly different tones.

“The bottom line is we are losing the war on terror,” Harris said. The problem with the Islamic State, he said, started when President Obama did not leave a residual force behind in Iraq, a decision that Harris said went against advice from his generals. The Iraqi army then collapsed in the face of Islamic State attack.

Leaders-??

“Wisdom doesn’t necessarily come with age. Sometimes age just shows up all by itself.” Unknown

Kim Jung Un
Kim Jung Un had NO military experience whatsoever before Daddy made him a
four-star general.
This snot-nosed twerp had never
accomplished anything in his life that would even come close to military leadership.
He hadn't even so much as led a Boy Scout troop, coached a sports team, or commanded a military platoon.
So he is made the "Beloved Leader" Of North Korea .
Terrific!

-
Oh crap! Never mind
I'm sorry.
I just remembered that we did the same thing.
We took an arrogant community organizer, who had never worn a uniform, and made him Commander-in-Chief.
A guy, who had never had a real job, worked on a budget, or led anything more than an ACORN demonstration, and we made him "Beloved Leader" of the United States
TWICE!!!
I'm sorry I brought this up.
Never mind.

BROWN SKIRTS PRESIDENTIAL ENDORSEMENTS

COLLEGE PARK, Maryland – Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown Friday declined to say whether he would endorse a presidential run by Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley.

“I’m not trying to be evasive, let me tell you this, there’s one election right now, for obvious reasons, that I am focused on almost 99.99 percent of my waking hours and that’s the general election Nov. 4, 2014, and I think the people of Maryland deserve that,” Brown said in a phone interview on Friday.

Brown is facing O’Malley-weary voters in an attempt to become the first lieutenant governor in Maryland’s history to gain a promotion to Government House via the ballot box.

JUST IN: Jesse Matthew To Be Charged In Fairfax County Sexual Assault

Police have said previously that they have evidence linking Matthew to the death and disappearance of Morgan Harrington, whose case is linked by DNA to the Fairfax case. Matthew is also charged with abduction with intent to defile in connection with the disappearance of Hannah Graham.

In the City of Fairfax case, the victim was abducted while walking home from a grocery story on Jermantown Road. The then 26-year-old woman was assaulted in the pool area of a townhouse complex, police have said.

Ebola Travel Ban Now!

Is Barack Obama completely insane?

Is Barack Obama completely insane? By not instituting an immediate ban on all non-essential travel between the United States and West Africa, he is putting the lives of more than 300 million Americans at risk. Anyone with a shred of common sense knows that you keep more people from getting sick by keeping the sick people away from the healthy people. Because the Ebola outbreaks in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone are raging out of control, it is extremely difficult to tell who is carrying Ebola and who is not carrying Ebola. Therefore we need to keep everyone from those countries away until those outbreaks subside. If Barack Obama had established an Ebola travel ban a month or two ago like he should have done, Thomas Eric Duncan would never have entered the United States, and we would not have two Texas nurses infected with the virus. But because Barack Obama did not do his job, now we have a new Ebola scare popping up somewhere in the country almost hourly. If this outbreak eventually evolves into a full-blown pandemic, we will know who to blame.

Will an Ebola travel ban work?

It has worked in Africa. Even as the outbreaks in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone have spread like wildfire, the nations immediately bordering them are doing just fine. And there is one primary reason why this is the case…

Deanna Favre to QB for Green Bay!

In a news conference Deanna Favre announced she will be the starting QB for the Packers next season.

Deanna asserts that she is qualified to be the starting QB because she had spent 16 years married to Brett while he played QB for the Packers. Even though she has actually never played football at any level from grade school up and never run the offense of any team or played the game.

During this period of time, she became familiar with the definition of a corner blitz, the nickel package, and man-to-man coverage, so she is now completely comfortable with all the other terminology involving the Packers offense. A survey of Packers fans shows that 50% of those polled supported
 the move.

Does this sound idiotic and unbelievable or does it sound familiar to you?

Hillary Clinton makes the same claims as to why she is qualified to be the President and 50% of Democrats polled agreed.

She has never run a city, county, or state during her "career" of being Bill Clinton's wife. When told Hillary Clinton has experience because she has 8 years in the White House, my immediate thought was "So has the pastry chef."

When it comes to running the State Department, her biggest achievement was getting a US Ambassador and 3 other Americans killed, by pretending terrorism had been defeated.

Obama admin. to allow thousands of Haitians into U.S. without visas: 'Which countries are next?'

The ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee took the Obama administration to task Friday for its “irresponsible” plan to allow as many as 100,000 Haitians to immigrate to the U.S. without a visa.

Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa said the administration’s Haitian Family Reunification Parole Program — which will allow thousands of Haitians awaiting a U.S. visa to enter the country and legally apply for work permits — is “an irresponsible overreach of the executive branch’s authority.”

A Letter To The Editor: Some things never change

Hey, Joe.

Just a quick (anonymous) background note--

Ricky used to do the same thing as city manager, using his City of Fruitland credit card for personal buys at Food Lion, etc, then reimbursing the city.

Don't know about now, but then it was because he was in such deep financial doo-doo he didn't have enough money to get through the month. Probably still the same.

Some things never change.

Governor O’Malley Updates Public on Ebola Preparations

BALTIMORE, MD – Governor Martin O’Malley led a team of hospital and other health officials to update the public on the Maryland’s efforts to protect its communities against infectious diseases, including the Ebola virus.

To date, there have been no cases of Ebola diagnosed in Maryland.

“We are not taking this situation lightly,” said Governor O’Malley. “We are working together across agencies, with our federal and local government and community partners, and with Maryland hospital officials to prepare aggressively so that we can keep Marylanders safe.”

Forensic evidence supports Ferguson cop’s shooting story

Michael Brown's blood found on officer's gun, inside panel of patrol car

(Bloomberg)
Forensic evidence may corroborate accounts by police in Ferguson, Missouri, that teenager Michael Brown was involved in a scuffle with an officer before he was shot and killed, according to a law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation.

The evidence examined as part of a federal probe shows that the 18-year-old’s blood was on an inside panel of the police car and on the officer’s gun, which was fired twice inside the vehicle, said the official, who asked not to be identified without authorization to speak publicly. The information, first reported by the New York Times last night on its website, came from forensics tests performed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Bus driver accused of arranging white family’s beating

Assault, conspiracy charges filed after mob of black teens attacks

A trial is looming in Baltimore for a black former bus driver charged with assault and conspiracy for allegedly arranging a black mob attack on a white family riding her bus.

Colin Flaherty, author of “‘White Girl Bleed A Lot’: The Return of Racial Violence to America and How the Media Ignore It,” explained the case in a commentary in American Thinker: “A black Baltimore bus driver organized a mob of 20 black people to assault a white family of three on her bus, which they did with gusto and pepper spray. All the while, the other black passengers hooted and hollered in encouragement.”

Hogan Gets Another Media Endorsement – This Time, It’s Annapolis

The Capital Gazette, a very significant local newspaper – here’s the closing part:

The basic problem with Brown isn't his ads, but that he's essentially offering Marylanders an O'Malley third term. That's not what Maryland needs. The complacency of the state's Democratic establishment — its willingness to keep doing what it has been doing, without thinking much about it — is a threat to this state's long-term well-being. We urge Maryland voters to puncture that complacency. We strongly urge a vote for Larry Hogan as governor.

Obama Plans to Transfer Ebola-infected Foreigners to U.S. for Treatment

Thursday night on Fox News, Charles Krauthammer predicted that it would only take "a couple more cases like Mr. Duncan" flying to the United States from West Africa with Ebola for the president to back down from his no travel ban position.

But if Judicial Watch's sources are correct, Obama's open door policy for people coming from Ebola infected countries, may creak open a little wider to allow the transfer of non-US citizens infected with the disease into the country for treatment.

It is unclear who would bear the high costs of transporting and treating non-citizen Ebola patients. The plans include special waivers of laws and regulations that ban the admission of non-citizens with a communicable disease as dangerous as Ebola.

The plan - which may not even be legal - has been kept from Congress even though it should require the approval of Congress.

Bowe Bergdahl 'deserter' investigation is complete - but verdict will not be determined until after November's elections

The Army completed its investigation last week into Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's disappearance from a base in Afghanistan five years ago, but the Pentagon said Tuesday that it doesn't know when the report will be released.

'The investigating officer has done his work, but now that work is moving through the Army system, and at each stop ... there will ... be questions, requirements for clarification,' Army Colonel Steve Warren told reporters.

'So it's working its way through the system as would any other investigation.'

The results of the Army's probe into whether Bergdahl deserted his post will most certainly be withheld from the public until after November's elections, if it discloses its findings at all.

An appeal hearing date has been set for that indefinite suspension. A final decision is expected to be rendered quickly–possibly by mid-November.

WH Press Sec: ‘Likely’ More Americans Will Get Ebola

In a White House press conference, White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters that the administration considered it possible, “even likely,” that more Americans would contract Ebola, especially healthcare workers from Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas.

EARNEST: The risk of a widespread outbreak of Ebola in the United States is exceedingly low. We don’t anticipate that’s going to happen. What we do anticipate is certainly possible– maybe even likely– is that some additional cases of Ebola will occur. It is possible, again, maybe even likely that there will be additional healthcare workers from this hospital in Dallas who treated Mr. Duncan who may have contracted the virus. So that’s why we are actively monitoring the health of other healthcare workers that came in contact with him.

It certainly is possible that other individuals will travel to this country that don’t exhibit symptoms in transit but after they arrive may have the virus.

This area at Tri County built this space to wash their vehicles, etc.

Same goes for the area at Morris Mill. These people were told the chemicals in the soil will cause cancer. They are told they need to be on city water and sewer. The citizens who some of them have lived there forever and are still living there and haven't died of cancer or anything else. It'd a ploy to get everyone hooked up to city services ($$$)

Our government is cunning, as you know.

Our Government

The next time the CDC says they do not have enough money. I could tell them where to shove it.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has spent more than $39 million on obese lesbians, origami condoms, texting drunks, and dozens of other projects that could have been scrapped in favor of developing an Ebola vaccine.

“Frankly, if we had not gone through our 10-year slide in research support, we probably would have had a vaccine in time for this that would’ve gone through clinical trials and would have been ready,” said NIH Director Francis Collins, blaming budget cuts for his agency’s failure to develop a vaccine for the deadly virus.

However, the Washington Free Beacon has uncovered $39,643,352 worth of NIH studies within the past several years that have gone to questionable research.

For instance, the agency has spent $2,873,440 trying to figure out why lesbians are obese, and $466,642 on why fat girls have a tough time getting dates. Another $2,075,611 was spent encouraging old people to join choirs.

Millions have gone to “text message interventions,” including a study where researchers sent texts to drunks at the bar to try to get them to stop drinking. The project received an additional grant this year, for a total of $674,590.

The NIH is also texting older African Americans with HIV ($372,460), HIV and drug users in rural areas ($693,000), HIV smokers ($763,519), pregnant smokers ($380,145), teen moms ($243,839), and meth addicts ($360,113). Text message interventions to try to get obese people to lose weight have cost $2,707,067.

The NIH’s research on obesity has led to spending $2,101,064 on wearable insoles and buttons that can track a person’s weight, and $374,670 to put on fruit and vegetable puppet shows for preschoolers.

City of Salisbury Neighborhood Services Task Force Announces 2nd Service Week

The City of Salisbury Department of Neighborhood Services & Code Compliance, Salisbury Police Department, Salisbury Fire Department, Department of Public Works, and the Department of Building Permits & Inspections will be performing a saturation of City services in the Areas of Buena Vista Avenue to Washington Street and over to Snow Hill Road during the week of October 20 – 24, 2014.

During this effort, City departments will educate property owners and residents about property maintenance codes, available City services, and provide smoke detectors to those in need. The Department of Public Works will be performing street sweeping, tree trimming, water & sewer cleaning and inspections, sewer flushing, and spraying weeds with the weed busters program. The Salisbury Police Department will have the Princeton Avenue Substation open to the public during this effort.

“This effort continues our work in the areas between College Avenue and Snow Hill Road.” noted Mayor Jim Ireton. “Public Works is cleaning and maintaining streets, Salisbury Fire Department is making residences safer for citizens, the police are engaging in community policing initiatives, and Neighborhood Services is improving the quality of our housing stock. We build on the tremendous effort of the last saturation in Princeton Homes, which made it possible for us to identify street lights that needed fixing, potholes in streets, houses that were vacant and unregistered, and quite a few vehicles that hadn't moved in a long time. We appreciate citizens opening their doors and partnering with us in our efforts to increase the quality of the health and safety of our citizens.”

Any questions can be directed to Susan Phillips, Director, Neighborhood Services & Code Compliance (410) 341-9550.

Maryland to delay legal effort to recoup $55 million for state's failed ObamaCare site

Maryland officials reportedly have agreed to delay court action seeking $55 million from the primary contractor for the state’s problematic ObamaCare website.

Officials from Maryland’s health care exchange in April fired the contractor, Noridian Healthcare Solutions, and vowed to seek court actions to recoup the money.

Both sides have struck a temporary deal so state officials can focus on the second year of ObamaCare enrollment that starts Nov. 15, according to The Baltimore Sun.

A spokeswoman for Democratic Gov. Martin O'Malley told The Sun that officials are still "evaluating claims that we may pursue in litigation."

A Letter To The Editor: “Conservative” Norm Conway running with Liberals

Isn’t it amazing how every 4 years Democrats in our area turn into “conservative” Democrats?

Norm Conway, Josh Hastings and Jim Mathias often tout their conservative “credentials” (read: bogus claims), but if you look closely at what they say and do, it’s easy to figure out their deception. Folks they know full well that they do not represent you or your interests. They understand that their bread is buttered in Annapolis, by tax and spend liberals who have never seen a tax increase that is high enough or a regulation that went far enough. They have their marching orders and they heed them.

Does anyone honestly believe that Norm Conway would be allowed to remain as the chair of (mis)appropriations if he bucked the Democratic power structure?

Of course not.

This past week Norm Conway had a picture taken with Anthony Brown and placed it on his facebook account.

Knowing that our area is conservative and that Hogan will easily win every county on the lower shore, why would be pose with Brown during an election?

Because he was told to. And he followed orders.
Earlier in the campaign season Norm brought over two ridiculously far left Delegates to knock on doors in our district. Delegate Al Carr, who sponsored the Rain Tax and the potentially catastrophic job-killing bill known as the Chicken Tax, along with Delegate Ann Kaiser, who sponsored the “Firearms Sale Prohibiton” bill. Yes, that was a real bill. Kaiser sponsored it and Norm welcomed her our area.

Here is another facebook picture that shows Norm, the two extreme delegates and three people likely being paid to “volunteer” for Norm (hint: teacher’s that is where your union money is going).

Perhaps the funniest part of this picture is the fact that Norm Conway voted to increase taxes, but when his buddies from around the state come visit, he takes them to Delmar, Delaware, so they can dodge the very taxes Norm votes for, including a 20% increase in sales tax!

Folks, I hope that every one of you are paying attention. Even those of you who leave terrible messages on my page. I hope that you take a moment and just think. Just think. Norm Conway is bad for Maryland and he’s even worse for our area. He doesn’t represent us. He represents liberal Annapolis politics and then runs as a “conservative”, just like Jim Mathias and their protégé Josh Hastings. Do not vote for any of these people. A vote for Norm is a vote for Delegate Kaiser, Delegate Carr and four more years of higher taxes and higher spending.
