How Do Liberals Discourage Elderly Republican Voters...

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE REPUBLICAN CENTRAL COMMITTEE

The Republican Central Committee is encouraging all voters in District 5 whose polling location is the OP Country Club to take advantage of the early voting (June 12th - June 19th) at Gull Creek ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES.

The parking situation is not as convenient as it we would like and the voting area will be up a steep flight of steps. There is a wheelchair lift, but no elevator. The lift may not be appropriate for those using walkers or canes or who just have trouble with stairs.

The Central Committee is excited about our fine slate of candidates - so many contested races - our party is growing!

Hopefully everyone has received a specimen ballot for the Primary Election. Your polling location is on the front of the ballot, and information regarding early voting dates and times and the address of Gull Creek Senior Living Community is on the last page. So, get out and vote!

Obamacare: Still Failing

With the bad news still flowing about the law, Dems could almost use another scandal.

It may turn out that the VA scandal and the controversy surrounding the prisoner swap for Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl were actually good news for congressional Democrats. That’s because they’ve managed to keep the media and voters from focusing on the latest bad news about Obamacare.

And that news just keeps getting worse.

For example, according to documents leaked to the Associated Press, roughly 2.1 million people who purchased health insurance through the federal exchange have problems with their enrollment data that could affect what they pay for coverage, or even their legal right to benefits. This only counts the people who signed up through the federal exchange — there could be many more enrollees with discrepancies among the roughly 2.6 million people who signed up through the state exchanges, driving the total number even higher.

The 10 Best States For Small Business

The happiest small-business owners are all in the Midwest and South, according to a new survey.

Online job marketplace Thumbtack and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation surveyed more than 12,000 small-business owners across 38 states in the U.S. on topics concerning how easy it is to start and grow a small business in their state.

"Thousands of small-business owners across the country told us that the keys to a pro-growth environment are ease of compliance with tax and regulatory systems and helpful training programs," says Jon Lieber, Thumbtack's chief economist.

ARIZONA AG THREATENS TO SUE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION OVER ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT DUMPING

Arizona Attorney General Tom Horne formally demanded the federal government “cease and desist” from transporting illegal immigrants to his state or else face a possible lawsuit.

In a letter to Department of Homeland Security Sec. Jeh Johnson, Horne called on the the government to halt the shipments of untold hundreds of illegal immigrant families to Arizona.

“In the past two weeks, the Department of Homeland Security has transported, and continues to transport, a significant number of illegal immigrants from other states into Arizona,” Horne said Thursday. “Men, women and children left at bus terminals in temperatures exceeding 100 degrees with nothing more than instructions to report to the nearest ICE office within 15 days, posing significant health and safety risks both for the people being abandoned and the communities in which they are being stranded, is not acceptable.”

Obama’s Enforcer

Eric Holder’s tenure in the Justice Department has been marked by scandal after scandal.

EDITOR’S NOTE:
The following article is adapted from John Fund and Hans A. von Spakovsky’s new book,Obama’s Enforcer: Eric Holder’s Justice Department.

Attorney General Eric Holder’s Justice Department gave bad advice to President Obama and the Pentagon in the controversial Bergdahl prisoner trade that the president could ignore federal law requiring prior notification to Congress. This is just the latest example of how Holder helps the administration ignore the rule of law and crafts his “legal” opinions based on the desired political outcome, not the actual state of the law.

Under Eric Holder, the Justice Department has stood the old Ronald Reagan maxim “trust but verify” on its head and adopted a “trust and we won’t let you verify” approach to its activities.

Montgomery County School Board Scrutinized Over Use of Government-Issued Credit Cards

Board panel recommends prohibiting taxpayer-funded hotel stays, capping amount that can be spent on food

Scrutiny over how some members of a Maryland school board are using their government-issued credit cards is growing, and board leaders are considering sweeping changes because of it.

The News4 I-Team spent the past week reviewing 1,500 pages of credit card receipts, taxpayer-funded expenses from the past few years by top administrators and members of the Montgomery County Public Schools Board of Education – part-time board members who earn about $18,500 per year. The I-Team found thousands of dollars in meal expenses -- more than 130 meals paid for by taxpayers.

There is no rule capping the amount board members can spend on food for themselves or for breakfast and lunch "meetings."

Board member Rebecca Smondrowski expensed a series of lunch meetings, including a meal, without booze, at the Wine Harvest wine bar in Gaithersburg, the Greene Turtle sports bar and almost a dozen Starbucks trips.

Here Is The Simplest Advice For Anyone Trying To Lose Weight Or Eat Healthy

Every few years, another diet seems to be all the rage. Food fads come and go every day. Go ahead, try to follow all of the advice that has proliferated: eat low fat, cut out all sugar, eat like a caveman, become a vegan, cut out gluten, go dairy-free, measure glycemic index, etc.

You'd be left with nothing but water — and maybe spinach. Most diets allow spinach.

The best advice, though, is to ignore the cacophony of "expert" voices. The secret to healthy eating is painfully basic. Michael Pollen articulated it memorably several years ago: "Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants."

Mark Bittman, a longtime advocate of sensible eating, makes the case for some similarly untrendy basics in his latest column for The New York Times, arguing that vilifying salt, fat, and sugar misses the real problem. There is a mounting public health epidemic in this country around obesity, diabetes, and other problems associated with unhealthy diet and sedentary living, and the answer, Bittman says, is simple: "Eat Real Food."

'I am Bitterly, Bitterly Disappointed': Retired Naval Officer's Email To Children

Dear All Three

With last evening's crop of whinges and tidings of more rotten news for which you seem to treat your mother like a cess-pit, I feel it is time to come off my perch.

It is obvious that none of you has the faintest notion of the bitter disappointment each of you has in your own way dished out to us. We are seeing the miserable death throes of the fourth of your collective marriages at the same time we see the advent of a fifth.

We are constantly regaled with chapter and verse of the happy, successful lives of the families of our friends and relatives and being asked of news of our own children and grandchildren. I wonder if you realise how we feel — we have nothing to say which reflects any credit on you or us. We don't ask for your sympathy or understanding — Mum and I have been used to taking our own misfortunes on the chin, and making our own effort to bash our little paths through life without being a burden to others. Having done our best — probably misguidedly — to provide for our children, we naturally hoped to see them in turn take up their own banners and provide happy and stable homes for their own children.

Student Brings in a Real Grenade to School

Do people not have any common sense anymore? If you want to bring something to school for show-and-tell, bringing in a hand grenade is probably not a good idea.

The student, a 12-year-old boy, brought in the military relic during a show-and-tell for the 70th anniversary of D-Day.

The school was immediately put in lockdown and a bomb squad was called in to examine the grenade. The boy's mother, Lisa Miguel, of Stratford, was charged with risk of injury to a minor, reckless endangerment, and illegal possession of an explosive.

Miguel said the grenade was a gift from her father, a World War II veteran. She thought thought the grenade was a dud, but investigators said it still had the pin in it.

GOP Needs Focus on 'Main Street over Wall Street'

Dave Brat, the candidate who defeated House Majority Leader Rep. Eric Cantor (R-VA), took to Fox News Channel's "Hannity" on Tuesday night where he stated the Republican Party needs to get back to its principles and focus on “Main Street.”

Brat declared “the people are just ready for some major changes in this country.” He said that his win was not a victory of the Tea Party over the Republican Party, but rather a commitment to principle, saying “I ran on the Republican principles, and we have this Republican creed in Virginia and the only problem with the Republican principles is no one is following them.” He described the race as victory for grassroots populism, and argued that “in Virginia the Republican Party has been kind of taken it to the grassroots and the grassroots is rightly upset because the grassroots is mocked routinely in the press,” and “the Republican Party has been paying too much attention to Wall Street and not enough to Main Street.

The American people want to take the country back.” Brat stated that the difference between him and Cantor on immigration was the most symbolic issue that captures the differences between myself and Eric Cantor in this race, but it also captures that fissure between Main Street and Wall Street.”

Rand Paul to Hillary: Come to My State to See What It's Like to Be Poor

If Hillary Clinton wants to see people who are "dead broke," she should come to Kentucky and see people who are really struggling, Sen. Rand Paul said.

"Look at the despair in the faces of people who are losing their jobs because of the president's policies," the Kentucky Republican told The New York Times. "Let them know that her hardship was that she only got eight million bucks for her book."

Clinton told ABC News' Diane Sawyer, in an interview that aired on Monday, that she and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, came out of the White House in 2001 "not only dead broke, but in debt."

She also defended the millions of dollars both she and her husband have collected in book advances and public speaking fees.

On Tuesday, Clinton backtracked slightly, telling ABC "Good Morning America" host Robin Roberts that she appreciates "how hard life is for so many Americans today...it’s an issue that I’ve worked on and cared about my entire adult life."

WICOMICO HEROIN DEALER SENTENCED TO TEN YEARS IN PRISON

On June 12, 2014, Shamar Ralee Cropper, age 23, of Salisbury, Maryland, was convicted and sentenced on one count of possession with the intent to distribute heroin and one count of possession of cocaine. A Wicomico County Circuit Court judge sentenced Cropper to ten years of active incarceration in the Maryland Division of Corrections for the heroin offense. Cropper was sentenced to a 4 year suspended sentence for the cocaine offense. Upon release, Cropper will be on 3 years of supervision by the Division of Parole and Probation.

Cropper had been pending charges related to the traffic stop of a vehicle in which he was a passenger. After noting numerous indicators criminal activity, investigators contacted a police K-9 unit to assist. The drug sniffing dog alerted officers to the presence of illicit drugs concealed in the vehicle. Inside of the vehicle, officers recovered a pipe used to smoke crack cocaine, a hypodermic syringe and trace amounts of cocaine. Cropper, the driver and another passenger were arrested based upon the recovered items. After being transported to the Maryland State Police barracks for processing, Cropper struggled with officers who were attempting to search him. Cropper was eventually restrained and searched. This search revealed that Cropper was concealing a plastic baggie in the cheeks of his buttocks. This plastic baggie contained another plastic baggie which in turn contained 16 separate baggies containing heroin. The baggie recovered from Cropper’s buttocks was also found to contain a second baggie which contained cocaine and a third baggie containing oxycodone.

Wicomico County State’s Attorney Matthew A. Maciarello commended the Maryland State Police Gang Enforcement Unit, the Salisbury Police Department’s Safe Streets Unit, and the Fruitland Police Department K-9 Unit for their work in the investigation and prosecution of this case. Mr. Maciarello also thanked James L. Britt who prosecuted Cropper.

Punkin Chunkin Could Move To Dover Speedway

Pumpkins could be flying near the Monster Mile in Dover this fall.

If approved by its membership, the World Championship Punkin Chunkin Association plans to move its annual event, out of Sussex County for the first time in its 27-year history, to Dover International Speedway in Kent County.

"We feel confident that we have vetted all possible locations in Delaware and our surrounding region," said John Huber, association president. "Dover International Speedway provides a home for Punkin Chunkin that allows the event to live on and prosper. Without the speedway, the 2014 event would likely have been cancelled."

One Overlooked Reason Why The Middle Class Is in Decline

The middle class happily accepts high risk in return for temporary gains in the asset bubble of the day, guaranteeing a steady progression of losses.

It's well known that a major reason why the middle class is in decline is the stagnation of wages, a topic I have covered many times, most recently in What's the Source of Soaring Corporate Profits? Stagnant Wages.

But another often overlooked source of middle class decline is the erosion of middle class wealth. The dynamic behind this long-term trend was indirectly described in The Stock Market Is Like a Fish Tank: the middle class is the majority of fish in the wealth tank that arrive after the gains have been reaped.

In effect, the few who skim most of the financial gain need the middle class to pony up the liquidity and wealth to be skimmed.

In terms of risk, the middle class is always late to the asset class feeding frenzy, meaning that the middle class invests its capital when the opportunities for outsized gains is long-gone and the risk of loss has risen to levels that guarantee declines.

Surge In Illegal Immigrants Blamed On U.S. Policy, Not Spiking Violence

Illegal immigrants from Central America are surging across the U.S.-Mexico border because they believe they can take advantage of American immigration policy and gain at least a tentative foothold in the country, according to an internal Border Patrol intelligence memo.

The immigrants come seeking “permisos,” which apparently are the “notices to appear,” the legal documents given to non-Mexicans caught at the border, according to the memo, which was viewed by The Washington Times and raised several times Wednesday at a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

Those notices officially put the immigrants into deportation proceedings. The immigrants usually are released to await a court date, giving them a chance to fade into the shadows in the interior of the U.S.

Hillary came up with Benghazi video explanation

Hillary Clinton’s newly released memoir leaves little doubt she was the first member of the Obama administration to publicly link an anti-Islam video to the 2012 Benghazi terror attack – though she does not explain what intelligence she relied on to make the faulty connection.

The former secretary of State and potential Democratic presidential candidate discussed the Benghazi attack in her memoir “Hard Choices.” The 33-page Benghazi chapter sheds some light on events, but it leaves plenty of inconvenient details out.

According to the chronology she offers, Clinton issued the statement linking Benghazi to the video before she called President Obama on the night of the attack to provide an update, suggesting she was the originator of the flawed explanation.

The GOP establishment says no more 'Iowa Nice' to Conservatives

If “scorched earth circular firing squad” were an Olympic event, the Republican Party establishment would win the gold medal every time.

Perhaps nowhere is this more true than in my home state of Iowa, where the undocumented Democrat known as Republican Governor (for life) Terry Branstad, and the corporatist shills surrounding him, could be poised to put the finishing touches on a complete rout of their own base. The end result could be the Republican Party of Iowa electing its third chairman in the last 28 months. Then nominating for Congress an agri-business lobbyist who finished fourth in the primary. A lobbyist who has until June 26 to respond to a FEC complaint filed against his campaign for receiving donations that exceed the legal limit.

Good times.

Imagine if these people were as merciless in opposing Democrats and their policies as they are in opposing us? There would be no need for all these primaries and the GOP would again be one, happy big tent. But alas, when those of us who actually believe in the party platform dare to demand a voice in the process, we must be silenced at all costs. If we don’t comply, they’ll use Ronald Reagan’s famed 11th Commandment against us. All the while disregarding it themselves, of course.

Nearly 90 in Georgia Indicted in Food Stamp Fraud

Federal prosecutors in Georgia announced indictments on Tuesday against 88 people in one of the country’s largest food-stamp fraud cases.

Fifty-four defendants were accused in an alleged scheme to open grocery stores in Georgia that would buy food stamps and cash vouchers at deep discounts, which the stores would then redeem with the federal government at full value.

The defendants also allegedly conspired to launder $18 million in profit from the plot.

US spy agencies heard Benghazi attackers using State Dept. cell phones to call terrorist leaders

The terrorists who attacked the U.S. consulate and CIA annex in Benghazi on September 11, 2012 used cell phones, seized from State Department personnel during the attacks, and U.S. spy agencies overheard them contacting more senior terrorist leaders to report on the success of the operation, multiple sources confirmed to Fox News.

The disclosure is important because it adds to the body of evidence establishing that senior U.S. officials in the Obama administration knew early on that Benghazi was a terrorist attack, and not a spontaneous protest over an anti-Islam video that had gone awry, as the administration claimed for several weeks after the attacks.

Friends gave Clintons $10 million to pay debts --- and they still stiffed lawyers for years

When Bill and Hillary Clinton left the White House, donors had covered all but $3.9 million of their still growing scandal legal bill -- easily covered by her 2000 $4 million book advance -- but they didn't pay off their lawyers for years.

Using two legal defense funds that raised about $10 million while Clinton was president, the former first couple got donors includingauthor Stephen King, actor Robert DeNiro, singer Tony Bennett and Black Entertainment Television founder Robert L. Johnson to give up to $10,000 each.

Even taxpayers eventually coughed up $85,000 for lawyers handling a long list of scandals including Whitewater, impeachment and the Monica Lewinsky sex affair. Clinton had askedthe government to cover $3.5 million, but a court cut it to $85,000.

But according to Hillary Clinton's Senate financial disclosure forms, the couple's legal bill wasn't fully paid until sometime in 2004 or 2005, when the same documents revealed a joint bank account worth between $5 million and $25 million and a blind trust valued at $5 million to $25 million. And that form didn't include Bill Clinton's massive speaking fees and earnings from his own multi-million dollar book.

Help the Media Save Themselves

Liberal denizens of the Fourth Estate present a distorted view of America.

There is no question that a free, honest, and unbiased press is a great asset to any free and fair society. A press characterized by integrity demands answers to hard questions from everyone, regardless of political affiliation. When the media choose sides, it enables those on the selected side to ignore rules and conduct themselves as they please, having no one to whom they must answer. Of course, this assumes the populace is largely asleep at the wheel and not demanding objectivity of the press.

Unfortunately, the “mainstream media” and the American people have conformed to this latter description in recent years, but I see signs of the people beginning to recognize the risks to both political and economic freedom imposed by the continuation of a journey down that pathway. Like politicians, the media no longer enjoy the almost unanimous trust they once could take for granted. What has caused so much of the media to become biased and agenda-driven, and why has the partiality become so blatant?

Introducing The Latest Tactic For Governments To Raise Cash

‘Creativity’ isn’t usually a word associated with ‘government’. Words like stodgy, bureaucratic, and incompetent are typically more appropriate.

But there is at least one area where bankrupt governments in particular tend to be exceptionally creative - finding unique ways to steal people’s money.

And over the last few years, one of the most creative ways that bankrupt governments have come up with is to confiscate what they consider “dormant” bank accounts—this would be an account without any transactions over a specified period of time.

The UK was the first on the scene with this idea with the 2008 Dormant Bank and Building Society Act. It was passed just in the knick of time right as the entire financial system was collapsing.

Within two years, the British Banker’s Association estimated that the law could raise as much as $600 million for the government… no small sum in the UK.

Earlier this year, Japan launched a similar initiative aimed at grabbing dormant bank accounts; they expect the move will raise approximately $500 million annually.

Both at least Japan and the UK have long-term thresholds. In Japan, they’ll seize an account if it has been dormant for more than 10 years. In the UK, it’s 15 years.

MD Attorney General Race

Subject: MD Attorney General race - my thoughts
Brian Frosh has my unqualified support for Maryland Attorney General because I know that no one works harder or smarter than he does.  The Washington Post had it exactly right when they said in their endorsement editorial that he will be, “a superb attorney general" and the Baltimore Sun said that it "would be difficult to find a more thoughtful, straightforward and honest lawmaker in Annapolis, and those are just the qualities we need in an attorney general." .

The public is the underdog in many of our legislative battles against special interests, but because of grassroots support, the public interest won out in the end.

Please help make Brian Frosh’s campaign a winning one, too.

Our next Attorney General will face many challenges.  We need the most qualified, most experienced person to lead our state in keeping us safe and secure.  Brian has the judgment to make the tough choices.

But one choice in the upcoming elections is not tough….Brian Frosh is clearly the best candidate.

Early Vote starts tomorrow and will be running until June 19th.  The primary election is on June 24th.

The Frosh team has canvassed in Salisbury and may have personally knocked on your door.  Person to person contact really does make a difference.  It is democracy at its best.

Brian Frosh is my friend and my trusted colleague. He is an accomplished lawyer with a strong ethical base.  That’s what we need in our Attorney General.  Let’s help him become our “people’s lawyer.”

See you soon,

Jim

Escape from Mosul: 150,000 Iraqis become overnight refugees

Iraq was under siege yesterday after Al Qaeda-inspired jihadists seized control of Saddam Hussein’s home town of Tikrit and closed in on the country’s biggest oil refinery.

Coming less than 24 hours after the country’s second city Mosul was overrun by the militants, there were fears that the loss of Tikrit could open the way for an assault on Baghdad just 80 miles to the south.

British security firms working in the capital are said to have been put on high alert amid fears that insurgents will target the ‘Green Zone’ where most of the foreign embassies are based.

As well as Mosul and Tikrit, several other northern towns were reported to have fallen to the spectacular offensive by the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Federal Proposal Would House Hundreds of Juvenile Illegal Immigrants in Baltimore

Hundreds of children, all illegal immigrants, may soon be brought to Baltimore.

President Obama's administration enacted a policy two years ago that defers action on illegal childhood arrivals. Many Central Americans believe that means children can stay indefinitely. More than 45,000 thousand unaccompanied minors have been caught at the border over the last 10 months.

Now the president is asking Congress for another billion dollars in funding for these children, while the feds search for space to house them in federal buildings across the country.

The former Social Security building on Greene Street in Baltimore City may become one of those designated buildings. It has been sitting vacant for months but now the federal proposal aims to house hundreds, if not thousands, of immigrant children in the building.

Politicians here in Maryland have serious concerns about the downtown office complex.

BIOTECH COMPANY CELLPHIRE TAPPED FOR $1 MILLION IN INVESTMARYLAND FUNDING

ANNAPOLIS, MD -- Governor Martin O’Malley and The Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development announced that Cellphire, a Rockville biotechnology company, has received a $1 million investment through the State’s InvestMaryland program. Cellphire is developing stabilized cellular products, including freeze-dried platelets that can be stored for years, for use in a range of advanced therapeutic and diagnostic applications.

“Supporting entrepreneurs and innovators like those at Cellphire is a central piece of Maryland’s broad support of the startups and small businesses that move our Innovation Economy forward and keep our State competitive in the 21st Century,” said Governor O’Malley. “Maryland is a center of healing and discovery. The technology being developed by Cellphire has the potential to improve care and save lives around the globe.”

“The underlying technology that Cellphire has developed promises to provide a quantum leap forward in how cells are handled and used within healthcare today,” said Cellphire CEO Stephen H. Willard. “Our initial application – platelets – is a perfect example, as untreated platelets last five days outside of a donor’s body. With our patented treatment, we are able to freeze dry platelet derived products for storage measured in years, at room temperature. Reconstitution is as simple as adding sterile water. This investment from MVF enables us to begin pursuing other applications in diagnostics, sports medicine, plastic surgery and dentistry.”

World War I Book Looms As Relevant History Lesson

WARRENTON, VA: Author Joe David believes Americans must heed what happened 100 years ago in the Middle East during World War I if they want to avoid repeating history. “The speed with which America is changing, led by despotic leaders, making constitutional revisions, has made me nervous about the country’s future,” Joe David told the Infidel Task Force (http://www.infideltaskforce.com/itf-interviews/) during a recent discussion about his latest book, The Infidels.

These leaders are making no attempt to provide any meaningful connection to outrages like 9/11, Bengazi, and Boston Marathon, which have been flaring up regularly here and abroad. “For them, each new outrage, no matter how dramatic, is an isolated event with no meaningful relevance to what preceded it. For our enemy, specifically, the Islamic fundamentalists, this type of response only strengthens their cause.”

He believes his latest book, The Infidels, should “awaken the public from its Prozac-like state of mental paralysis force-feed through politically correct clichés and fanciful arguments, and provide the public with the mental freedom it needs to understand what is occurring today.”

As he wrote in his article “History as a Link,” published in 1993 by the Council of Basic Education (http://bfat.com/educationinfocus/historyasalink.html) “World history provides the knowledge that enables us to live intelligently. When armed with a broad historical overview, we have the essential information needed to understand the present and grasp the possibilities for the future. Most importantly, we have what’s needed to connect times and cultures meaningfully and obtain from such connection knowledge for self-understanding.”

In a painless and paced story, Joe David’s The Infidels provides the readers with an honest historical report of what occurred one hundred years ago. “This I believe,” David said, “should connect the dots (from past to the present) for intelligent readers and give them the background they need to understand conceptually what is happening today.”

Joan Marie Bodley Filed For Clerk of the Court

Snow Hill, MD - Joan Marie Bodley, Assistant Vice President and Document Preparation Supervisor for PNC Bank, National Association, has filed for Worcester County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Bodley, an 18-year resident of Worcester County, says her banking management experience and fresh perspective are a perfect fit for the position.

“For 25 years I have helped keep expenses down for my company through the management positions I’ve held. I will be able to apply the same tools as Clerk of the Court to benefit the taxpayers of the county I love.”

Bodley’s current department at PNC Bank has used “paper-less workflow” for over five years. She will be effective in helping the current staff members to become comfortable utilizing the Maryland Electronic Court paperless filing system.

Bodley believes a good work environment, up-to-date skills training, and meeting the needs of taxpayers are paramount qualities for a successful manager.

“I strive in my current position to provide the best customer service and to manage those that work for me with respect. It is very important to me that there is an open line of communication in the office and a pleasant atmosphere so that the taxpayer’s needs can be met.”

Bodley moved to Worcester County 18 years ago, living in Pocomoke City prior to moving to Ocean Pines in 2010. Her two children have graduated from the Worcester County School System where she served as treasurer of the PTA for several years along with various Board of Education Committees. She has also served on the Executive Board of the Pocomoke Chamber of Commerce, the Parish Council of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, and the Lower Shore YMCA.

After earning her paralegal degree from Villa Julie College in 1985 she embarked on what is now a 30 year career in the banking industry with 25 of those years managing anywhere from eight to forty employees at a time. During this time, Bodley honed her skills on balancing budgets, filing and reviewing documents, managing and motivating individuals to work as a team, and making tough decisions to allow for efficient workflows and excellent customer service.

EX-BORDER AGENTS: IMMIGRANT FLOOD 'ORCHESTRATED'

An organization of former Border Patrol agents Wednesday charged that the federal government, under the administration of President Obama, is deliberately arranging for a flood of immigrant children to arrive in America for political purposes.

“This is not a humanitarian crisis. It is a predictable, orchestrated and contrived assault on the compassionate side of Americans by her political leaders that knowingly puts minor illegal alien children at risk for purely political purposes,” said the statement released by officials with the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers.

“Certainly, we are not gullible enough to believe that thousands of unaccompanied minor Central American children came to American without the encouragement, aid and assistance of the United States government.
