Biker Cop Joined In SUV Beatdown, Hit Vehicle

An off-duty undercover cop who had claimed he took no active role as fellow bikers pulled a Manhattan dad from his SUV and beat him to a pulp was actually pounding the vehicle with his fists at the height of the bloody road-rage attack, sources told The Post.

The cop, a seven-year veteran, had told investigators he didn’t help the injured man because he rode up to the scene as the beating was nearly over, sources said.

But video footage clearly shows otherwise, disgusted sources said Monday — and Internal Affairs Bureau higher-ups want to nail the officer.

Happy Birthday, Income Tax!

Amid all the attention paid to the government shutdown — more of a “slimdown,” as 83 percent of the government remains open — few people noticed that last Friday, October 4, marked the 100th anniversary of the federal income tax. The size and intrusiveness of the federal government that is at the heart of today’s shutdown would never have been possible without the income tax.

For a century and a quarter, the United States avoided an income tax. Thomas Jefferson warned against such “internal” taxes, saying that under the British they had “filled our land with officers and opened our doors to their intrusions.” Until the early 20th century, a small federal government relied on import duties and taxes on alcohol and tobacco for most of its revenue.

Palin Rips 'GOP High Roller Machine': 'Their Money Can’t Buy Elections Anymore'f

In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin blasted the Republican establishment's contempt for and destructive behavior toward the Tea Party during the current budget showdown with the Obama administration.

Palin told Breitbart News that these establishment financiers cannot relate to the average American worker and are throwing a "fit" because Wall Street knows they are in a whole new ballgame where their influence is diminishing.

Palin was responding to an article by David Freilander in Thursday's Daily Beast in which prominent Republican establishment financiers showed disdain for the conservative grassroots while being unable to identify exactly what a "precinct captain" is.

Jenna Bush Proclaims She's 'Related' To Hillary Through 'Uncle Bill'

George W. Bush's daughter proclaimed this week that she was related to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

At a gala for the Save the Children organization in New York, Jenna Bush-Hager was the emcee and "spoke about the family ties she had with" Hillary Clinton, who was one of the evening's honorees.

"I'm not sure if you know this, but Secretary Clinton and I are actually related," Jenna announced, according to the Daily Mail. "Yes, she's married to by uncle Bill. Uncle Bill has become so close with my grandparents and my father...that my dad calls him a brother from another mother."

Obama To Nominate Janet Yellen As Chair Of Federal Reserve

The White House says President Obama will nominate Federal Reserve vice chair Janet Yellen to succeed Ben Bernanke as chairman of the Federal Reserve.

THE LIST: UNNECESSARILY SHUT DOWN BY OBAMA TO INFLICT PUBLIC PAIN

While our president still enjoys his essential employees and locations: the White House chefs, Camp David, and a military golf course, there doesn't seem to be any question that in mercenary pursuit of a political win, this White House is determined to unreasonably punish as many everyday people as possible. And this includes children sick with cancer. That might sound like hyperbole, but it is not.

Although Barack Obama's chefs have been deemed "essential," employees at the National Institutes of Health who offer last-chance experimental cancer treatments for children suffering from cancer have not. Worse still, House Republicans have offered to compromise with the president and single the NIH out for funding. The White House has threatened a veto.

Using children sick with cancer as pawns is community organizing on steroids. And the media are covering for him. When the media thought they could emotionally blackmail the GOP with these sick children, telling their story was all the rage. Now that it is Obama and Senate Democrats wrist-flicking refusing treatment for these children, suddenly the media aren't too interested in telling their story.

Disability, USA - CBS News

There is a Senate hearing scheduled tomorrow on a subject of some importance to millions of Americans, but with the government shutdown it's not clear that the Senate Committee on Government Affairs will be able to pay for a stenographer to record the event. The hearing involves the Federal Disability Insurance Program, which could become the first government benefits program to run out of money. When it began back in the 1950s it was envisioned as a small program to assist people who were unable to work because of illness or injury.
Today, it serves nearly 12 million people -- up 20 percent in the last six years -- and has a budget of $135 billion. That's more than the government spent last year on the Department of Homeland Security, the Justice Department, and the Labor Department combined. It's been called a "secret welfare system" with it's own "disability industrial complex," a system ravaged by waste and fraud. A lot of people want to know what's going on. Especially Sen. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma.
Tom Coburn: Go read the statute. If there's any job in the economy you can perform, you are not eligible for disability. That's pretty clear. So, where'd all those disabled people come from?

New $100 Bills Start Circulating Today

The new $100 bill, with an array of high-tech features designed to thwart counterfeiters, will get its coming out party on Tuesday, partial government shutdown or not.

The Federal Reserve, which has not been affected by the shutdown, will have armored trucks rolling from its regional banks around the country headed to banks, savings and loans and other financial institutions with the new C-notes.

The bills took more than a decade to develop and the introduction was plagued by production problems that set back the rollout by 2½ years. But officials say the problems have now been fixed.

Eight Democratic Members Of Congress Arrested At Immigration Protest

Eight Democratic lawmakers, including civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis, were arrested outside the Capitol building Tuesday as part of an immigration reform demonstration.

The lawmakers — Reps. Joe Crowley, Raul Grijalva, Luis Gutierrez, Jan Schakowsky, Keith Ellison, Al Green, Charlie Rangel, and Lewis — were part of a group of more than 100 activists who conducted a peaceful sit-in blocking a street in the front of the Capitol, just feet away from the scene of last week’s shooting.

WIth thousands of protesters chanting “Si Se Puede” and jeering dozens of Capitol police officers, the lawmakers and scores of activists were handcuffed before being led off to wagons. It was unclear whether any of the people arrested would face charges.

The Only One Talking About Default Is OBAMA

Only by refusing to increase the debt limit do Republicans have any leverage to slow down the insane runaway spending train that has this country barreling towards a train wreck. This President says, “give me more money; I won’t negotiate. It’s 100% my way or the country will default on our debt.” (and it will be all your fault) He either has no respect for our Constitutional system of three equal branches of government or is trying to destroy America ….or both.

OBAMACARE SUPPORTER: ‘OF COURSE I WANT PEOPLE TO HAVE HEALTH CARE, I JUST DIDN’T REALIZE I WOULD BE THE ONE WHO WAS GOING TO PAY FOR IT PERSONALLY’

Supporters of President Barack Obama and his health care law were shocked to learn that their health care plans are being replaced with more expensive ones to comply with all the requirements of Obamacare.

Cindy Vinson, of San Jose, Calif., will reportedly pay $1,800 more each year for an individual policy. Additionally, Tom Waschura, of Portola Valley, Calif., will pay nearly $10,000 more for insurance to cover his family of four.

Both of the California residents “vote independent and are proud to say they helped elect and re-elect President Barack Obama,”according to the San Jose Mercury News. They also both anticipated their rates would go up, just not so drastically.

Supreme Court: Sheriff Has No Arrest Powers

The Delaware Constitution does not give sheriffs in Delaware the power to make arrests, the state Supreme Court ruled.

On Oct. 7, the Supreme Court issued a ruling, written by Justice Randy Holland, affirming a previous ruling by the Superior Court that Sussex County Sheriff Jeff Christopher does not need to make arrests to act as a conservator of the peace.

Christopher filed a lawsuit against county officials on May 9, 2012, asking Superior Court to rule that he is able to carry out law-enforcement duties, including traffic stops and arrests, transporting prisoners and providing crowd control at events.

Fans Rule In 2014

Harlem Globetrotters Give Fans the Power to Decide which Rules will Impact the Game in Salisbury on Feb. 25

Salisbury, MD
– The world famous Harlem Globetrotters will take fan interaction to a new level when the2014 “Fans Rule” World Tour comes to the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center in Salisbury, MD on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. Online voting is now open at harlemglobetrotters.com/rule, where all fans can choose which new game-changing rules they want to see in their hometown.

The Globetrotters were the first organization in sports and entertainment to let fans vote on rules when the team introduced the concept last year. Since the fan response was so overwhelming, the team is doing it again – but with a major twist.

The 2014 online ballot includes three never-before-seen revolutionary rules:

· Hot Hand Jersey – Both teams will have a “Hot Hand Jersey” they can pass among each other. The player who is wearing this jersey will receive double points on made baskets.

· Make or Miss – The quarter begins with only two players on the court for each team. When a team scores, a teammate may enter the game. When they miss, the player missing the shot must leave the court, leaving his or her teammates shorthanded.

· Trick Shot Challenge – Via three challenge flags per team, each coach can challenge the other team to make a trick shot. If the team makes the trick shot, they earn five points. If they miss, the other team receives five points.

With a roster showcasing stars such as Special K Daley, Big Easy Lofton, Flight Time Lang, Hi-Lite Bruton, and Dizzy Grant – plus female stars TNT Maddox, T-Time Brawner and Sweet J Ekworomadu* – the Globetrotters’ one-of-a-kind family show features mesmerizing ball handling, an assortment of trick shots, high-flying dunks and precise timing – all with an array of comedy guaranteed to entertain the young and the young at heart. After virtually every game, Globetrotter stars remain on the court for autographs and photographs with fans.

Tickets start at $22 (additional fees may apply) and are now available at harlemglobetrotters.comwww.wicomicociviccenter.org, the WY&CC box office, or by phone at 410.548.4911. Information on group and scout tickets can also be found at harlemglobetrotters.com.

Boehner: Democrats Want To 'Annihilate Us'

Speaker John Boehner rallied his troops this morning at a closed-door conference meeting at the Capitol. Democrats are trying to “annihilate us,” he told his members. “We can get through this if we stick together.”

The Ohio Republican added that a “grand bargain” is off the table. What he wants is something that “builds on the gains we’ve made over the past three years, puts points on the board, and doesn’t raise taxes.”

Though much press has been given to a group of moderates who are feeling the heat from voters over the shutdown and pushing for a “clean” continuing resolution (CR), Boehner has moved to quiet their concerns. Several Republicans listed in media whip counts over the past few days have recanted, and any building concerns about strategy and direction are staying private, for now.

“We’re united as a party,” says Representative Justin Amash of Michigan, who has often warred with Boehner. “We’re sending over bills with almost unanimous Republican support and we’re pulling over 20, 30 sometimes 40 Democrats on these individual bills. We feel like we’re making quite a bit of headway,” he adds.

Question Of The Day 10-8-13

What are your thoughts on President Obama's Speech Today

'Truckers for the Constitution' Plan to Slow D.C. Beltway, Arrest Congressmen

Tractor-trailer drivers will intentionally clog the inner loop of the Washington, D.C., beltway beginning on the morning of Oct. 11, according to a coordinator of the upcoming "Truckers Ride for the Constitution" rally.

Organizers of the three-day ride want to call attention to a litany of trucker frustrations and express their disapproval of national political leaders.

Earl Conlon, a Georgia trucker who is handling logistics for the protest, told U.S. News tractor-trailer drivers will circle the beltway "three lanes deep" as he rides with other participants to Congress to seek the arrest of congressmen for allegedly disregarding the Constitution.

Harry Reid Has Taken Over The Democrat Party

The sitting President is usually the titular leader of his party. This role can diminish late in a second-term, when possible successors take the national stage. President Obama, it seems, however, has been dethroned early, just months after having won reelection. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is calling the shots for Democrats on the epic political fight over the government shutdown and debt ceiling increase. Obama is almost a bystander.

The Hill reports, "Reid is now fully in charge of his party’s negotiating strategy, a significant change from past showdowns with Republicans." Worse, for President Obama, "[t]his is a welcome change for Democrats who thought Obama was too accommodating to Republicans during previous crises."

Gobble Tov! American Jews Ready For Thanksgivukkah

It's a turkey. It's a menorah. It's Thanksgivukkah!

An extremely rare convergence this year of Thanksgiving and the start of Hanukkah has created a frenzy of Talmudic proportions.

There's the number crunching: The last time it happened was 1888, or at least the last time since Thanksgiving was declared a federal holiday by President Lincoln, and the next time may have Jews lighting their candles from spaceships 79,043 years from now, by one calculation.

Obama Reiterates - Will Only Negotiate After Getting Everything He Wants

It would appear that President Obama's comprehension of the meaning of the word "negotiate" is different from that taught in the new "common core". Speaking at an event at FEMA, he noted: *OBAMA: WILL NEGOTIATE AFTER GOVT OPENS, DEBT CEILING RAISED *OBAMA: WON'T NEGOTIATE UNDER 'THREAT OF ECONOMIC CATASTROPHE' *OBAMA TELLS CONGRESS TO 'MOVE BEYOND THIS MANUFACTURED CRISIS' But given his comments last week on the markets' need to see this as a crisis, perhaps the best word to use to describe this farce is "inconceivable."

How The IRS Seized $35k From A Michigan Grocery Store With No Warning Or Explanation

I covered the out of control practice of government theft known as “civil forfeiture” earlier this year in my post: Why You Should Never, Ever Drive Through Tenaha, Texas. At the time I explained:

In a nutshell, civil forfeiture is the practice of confiscating items from people, ranging from cash, cars, even homes based on no criminal conviction or charges, merely suspicion. This practice first became widespread for use against pirates, as a way to take possession of contraband goods despite the fact that the ships’ owners in many cases were located thousands of miles away and couldn’t easily be prosecuted. As is often the case, what starts out reasonable becomes a gigantic organized crime ring of criminality, particularly in a society where the rule of law no longer exists for the “elite,” yet anything goes when it comes to pillaging the average citizen.

I was appalled to discover recently just how big business civil forfeiture really is, with over $4 billion seized by the feds using this method in 2012 alone. While some of these seizures were no doubt legitimate, clearly many of them were not.

Appearing on NBC's "Meet the Press," Paul noted that the government takes in more in revenue each month than it pays out in interest on Treasury bonds, and that President Obama has not acted on a bill passed by House Republicansthat would have instructed the Treasury to prioritize payments on the debt over other government obligations, ensuring that Treasury bonds will not fail.

Widespread Fraud Reported In Social Security Administration's Disability Program

A two-year investigation by the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations has found widespread fraud in the Social Security Administration's Disability Program.

The fraud is so rampant, and disability cases have so proliferated in recent years, that the Social Security's Disability Trust Fund may run out of money in only 18 months, says Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., whose office undertook the investigation.

Coburn’s report on widespread fraud, released Monday, focuses in large part on a veritable "disability claim factory" allegedly run by attorney Eric C. Conn out of his small office in Stanville, Kentucky, a region of the country where 10 to 15 percent of the population receives disability payments.

Least Essential? Some Agencies Have 0 Employees On Job During Slimdown

WASHINGTON – Fiscal hawks say the silver lining to the partial government shutdown, which is entering its second week of scaled-back services, could be the picture of government waste it paints for taxpayers.

A look through the shutdown contingency plans of the federal government shows some little-known commissions and agencies -- like the U.S. Commission of Fine Arts and the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness -- don't have anybody reporting for work during the partial shutdown.

The ability of the government to run without any of the people from any of these agencies on the clock is prompting some watchdog groups to question why, then, do the agencies need to exist in the first place?

“Think of all the money we could save as a nation,” Judicial Watch said in an Oct. 7 post. “Besides bringing attention to these largely unheard of agencies, the shutdown – caused by Congress’s inability to agree on a funding bill – is also shedding light on just how bloated the federal government is, with an astounding workforce that’s seen nearly 800,000 furloughed this week.”

He says operator Stanislav Komsky of Florida would charge people who wanted the information taken down from the website. The price to do that ranged from $40 to $90.

Where's Sense Of Crisis In A 17% Government Shutdown?

Everyone knows the phrase "government shutdown" doesn't mean the entire U.S. government is shut down. So in a partial government shutdown, like the one underway at the moment, how much of the government is actually shut down, and how much is not?

One way to measure that is in how much money the government spends. In a conversation Thursday, a Republican member of Congress mentioned that the military pay act, passed by Congress and signed by President Obama at the beginning of the shutdown, is actually a huge percentage of the government's discretionary spending in any given year. And that is still flowing. So if you took that money, and added it to all the entitlement spending that is unaffected by a shutdown, plus all the areas of spending that are exempted from a shutdown, and added it all together, how much of the federal government's total spending is still underway even though the government is technically shut down?

A Hacker's Dream

John McAfee, founder of anti-virus company McAfee, Inc, on the ObamaCare exchanges:
On Fox Business Network’s “Cavuto” on Wednesday, computer programmer and founder of McAfee, Inc. John McAfee said the online component of Obamacare “is a hacker’s wet dream” that will cause “the loss of income for the millions of Americans who are going to lose their identities.”
For starters, McAfee said the way it is set up makes it possible for fake websites be set up to fool people to think they’re signing up for Obamacare.
“It’s seriously bad,” McAfee said. “Somebody made a grave error, not in designing the program but in simply implementing the web aspect of it. I mean, for example, anybody can put up a web page and claim to be a broker for this system. There is no central place where I can go and say, ‘OK, here are all the legitimate brokers, the examiners for all of the states and pick and choose one.’”
“Instead, any hacker can put a website up, make it look extremely competitive, and because of the nature of the system — and this is health care, after all — they can ask you the most intimate questions, and you’re freely going to answer them,” he continued. “What’s my Social Security number? My birth date? What are my health issues?”
According to McAfee, there’s not a quick fix — and as long as it set up this way, it could be a playground for computer hackers.
“Here’s the problem: It’s not something software can solve,” McAfee continued. “I mean, what idiot put this system out there and did not create a central depository? There should be one website, run by the government, you go to that website and then you can click on all of the agencies. This is insane. So, I will predict that the loss of income for the millions of Americans who are going to lose their identities — I mean, you can imagine some retired lady in Utah, who has $75,000 dollars in the bank, saving her whole life, having it wiped out in one day because she signed up for Obamacare. And believe me, this is going to happen millions of times. This is a hacker’s wet dream. I mean I cannot believe that they did this.”

Ben Carson: Obamacare Hurts Just as Healthcare 'Golden Age' Emerges

Just as healthcare enters a "golden age," Obamacare threatens to reverse course, warn Dr. Ben Carson and Rep. Michael Burgess, R-Texas in a guest editorial for Forbes.

"The full promise of genomic medicine informing diagnosis and treatment beckons from just over the horizon," the two write. Young doctors just starting out "have the ability to alleviate human suffering that no generation of doctors has ever previously known," they say.

Carson retired in May as a professor of neurosurgery, oncology, plastic surgery, and pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He has become a tea party favorite after criticizing the Affordable Care Act at this year's National Prayer Breakfast as President Barack Obama sat on the dais.

Burgess, part of the House's tea party caucus, was a practicing physician before winning Dick Armey's former seat in 2003.

Candidate Terry McAuliffe, known nationally as a powerful Clinton fundraiser, took his stance Tuesday, about two weeks after the Environmental Protection Agency issued the tighter regulations and after months of being pressed to take a position on what is a major election issue.

“I support what we need to do to obviously protect our air and our water,” he said during a campaign stop in northern Virginia, according to The Washington Post.

The Shutdown: “A Significant And Severe Hardship”

After a half-decade of economic recession and recovery, there was “finally light at the end of the tunnel,” said Cidalia Luis-Akbar, who owns and runs M. Luis Construction with her sister Natalia Luis.

Then the federal government shut down. Instead of light, they faced more economic darkness.

“Every day we’re out here taking risk. We’re making financial decisions based on a feeling that we’re finally starting to get out of the financial difficulty we’ve felt for five years,” Luis-Akbar said. “But this is terrifying. It’s scary out here now.”

President Obama visited M. Luis on Thursday to call for an end to the shutdown.

“Across the country you’ve got farmers in rural areas and small business owners who deserve a loan, but they’re being left in the lurch right now,” President Obama said. “They might have an application pending as we speak, but there’s nobody in the office to process the loan. The SBA gives a billion dollars of loans a month to small businesses — a billion dollars a month goes to small businesses all across the country. Right now those can’t be processed because there’s nobody there to process them.”

Founded by Portuguese immigrants with a wheelbarrow and a pickup truck in 1985, M. Luis has grown into a $60 million road construction company with 250 employees and a thick portfolio of projects across the Washington and Baltimore metro areas. Cidalia and Natalia are the daughters of Manuel and Albertina Luis, the company’s founders.

Many of their contracts, with Baltimore City, Montgomery County, the State Highway Administration and other towns and counties in the area, are partially funded by the federal government. They worry the shutdown will postpone future contracts and, if the situation persists, disrupt payments for current projects.

“We’re concerned about potential delays,” Natalia Luis said.

“It may be that contracts that were scheduled to bid in the coming weeks will get pushed back. That will have a huge impact when the backlog gets cleared and there’s not new work to take its place,” she said. “You’re talking about a significant and severe hardship.”

Luis said she and her sister will start to meet with their clients this week if the shutdown does not get resolved. They’ll assess the impact the shutdown will have on paving, road construction and other projects across the state.

“We cannot take any more out here,” Luis-Akbar said. “We are all barely hanging on by our fingernails. We’re not out of the woods. This makes us think twice about every decision we make.”

A MATURE INTERPRETATION OF THE BIBLE

In my mature years, I’m finally beginning to understand the Bible!
For those who haven’t heard, the State of Washington just passed two laws:

• Same-sex Marriage
• Legalized Marijuana

The fact that same-sex marriage and marijuana were legalized on the same day makes perfect biblical sense because Leviticus 20:13 says:

“If a man lies with another man they should be stoned.” I just hadn’t interpreted it correctly before.

At Least 26,000 File For Unemployment In DC, Md.

Furloughed federal government workers have filed more than 10,000 claims for unemployment benefits in the District of Columbia as the government shutdown has persisted nearly a week.

D.C. Department of Employment Services spokeswoman Najla Haywood says the claims filed by Monday represent a major increase. Under the district's recent unemployment rate, the agency usually receives 600 unemployment claims per week.

In Maryland, more than 16,000 federal unemployment claims were filed by Sunday. That's about four times the number of claims from federal workers in an entire year. The first checks are being sent this week.

Theft Of Tax Dollars

Joe,

It seems Jackie Kimball, as she has always been known as, is trying to hide something. When you enter Kimball, Jacquelyn on the Md. case search you see post for three past court cases, none related to her theft of tax dollars during her employment with the State of Maryland. When you enter Wigfall Kimball, Jacquelyn Lynn you get the attached screen shot. Now why do you suppose she has chosen to insert her maiden name in this court record? And how is that legal? Something is fishy here Joe, you need to investigate this.

Chicken Growers Urged To Participate In October Maryland Public Meetings

Georgetown, DE - Sep. 23, 2013 -- To help protect their businesses and families, Delmarva Poultry Industry, Inc. is STRONGLY URGING chicken growers to participate in the upcoming Maryland Department of Agriculture public meetings to learn more about the new Phosphorus Management Tool proposed regulation will limit the application of chicken manure on some farmland. The public meetings will take place at two Eastern Shore meetings in October. After considerable legislative and public pressure in August, the Maryland Department of Agriculture withdrew its proposed "emergency" regulation that would have implemented this new nutrient management tool immediately. A few days later the department began working on a new version that would allow a little more time for farmers who apply manure to adjust to the new limits on manure applications. Even with that one year phase-in system, DPI believes there still will be hardships on chicken growers and for farmers who use manure as a fertilizer.

The upcoming Maryland Department of Agriculture public meetings will attempt to explain what has occurred on this issue in recent months, how the new Phosphorus Management Tool will work, what the implications could be for the agricultural community, and how manure applicators are expected to implement the new rules.
In urging attendance at the meetings, DPI encouraged growers to use that opportunity to have their questions answered while also letting the department know what they think.

The briefings aim to inform persons of the new proposal prior to the 30-day public comment period, which begins with publication in the Maryland Register anticipated for October 18, 2013.

And equally important, DPI urges growers to submit their written comments and expressions of concern about the new regulation during the official 30 day public comment period. Comments made at the two public meetings are not part of the official record in the regulation adoption process. The Maryland Department of Agriculture has no legal responsibility to pay any attention to comments during those meetings. But, the department must consider public comments submitted during the 30 day comment period.
Secretary of Agriculture Buddy Hance has pointed out that during the public comment period early this year on an earlier version of the regulation, there were only seven comments submitted, though some of those comments from agricultural groups like DPI represented thousands of farmers. DPI is asking its members to make sure more than seven comments are submitted during the soon-to-open official 30 day comment period.

The Eastern Shore public meetings will be held:
Tuesday, October 8 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Wicomico Youth & Civic Center - Flanders Rooms
500 Glen Avenue
Salisbury
Tuesday, October 15 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Talbot County Community Center
