Claymont- The death of a male subject found in a room at the Riverview Motel in Claymont on Monday, June 18th, has been ruled a homicide by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Details as to the cause and manner of death are not being released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
The victim has been identified as Theodore Tucker, 52, of Wilmington,
Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.

Asians eclipsing Latinos in immigration to U.S.: report
The Pew Research Center found that the number of Asian immigrants grew from 19 percent of all new immigrants in 2000 to 36 percent in 2010. Incoming Hispanic immigrants fell from 59 percent in 2000 to 31 percent.
Up to 11 percent of illegal immigrants in the United States are Asian while about 75 percent are Hispanic, according to the analysis, which combined government data with its own polling.

Father Accuses Texas Teachers Of Ordering A "Code Red" On His Six-Year-Old Son
When informed of the incident last month at Salinas Elementary School, the boy’s father told cops, “No child deserved this treatment.” Referring to the female teachers, he added, “They ordered a code red on my son!”
According to a police report, one teacher sought a colleague’s help in disciplining the boy, who “was a bully in her classroom.” The teacher brought the boy, Aiden Neely, into the second teacher’s classroom, where the students were directed to “teach him why bullying is bad.”

Food Stamps, Crop Subsidies Among Senate Farm Bill Amendments
Proposals to avert bigger cuts in food stamps and reduce certain crop subsidies are among more than 70 amendments the U.S. Senate will consider this week to a massive farm bill.
Senate leaders struck a bipartisan deal late on Monday to clear the way for debate and votes on the stalled legislation beginning on Tuesday, a Democratic aide said.
The U.S. farm law covers everything from food stamps to crop subsidies to soil erosion - and several other hot-button issues in an election year.

Mayors Back Parents Seizing Control of Schools
Hundreds of mayors from across the United States this weekend called for new laws letting parents seize control of low-performing public schools and fire the teachers, oust the administrators or turn the schools over to private management.
The U.S. Conference of Mayors, meeting in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday unanimously endorsed "parent trigger" laws aimed at bypassing elected school boards and giving parents at the worst public schools the opportunity to band together and force immediate change.
Such laws are fiercely opposed by teachers' unions, which stand to lose members in school takeovers. Union leaders say there is no proof such upheaval will improve learning. And they argue that public investment in struggling communities, rather than private management of struggling schools, is the key to boosting student achievement.

GOP Senators Want IRS to Cite Legal Grounds for Demanding Donor Lists of Tea Party Groups
“We remain concerned that the IRS is requesting the names of donors and contributors to organizations that apply for tax-exempt status,” says the Senate letter sent to IRS Commissioner Douglas H. Schulman on Monday. “In doing so, the IRS appears to be circumventing the statutory privacy protections that Congress has long provided donors.”
The letter is signed by Republican Sens. Prosecutors say Oscar Sanchez, 46, was a key leader in a group that funneled $31 million in Medicare dollars into banks in Havana — the first such case that directly traces money fleeced from the beleaguered program into the Cuban banking system.

This Church Is Also the World’s Biggest Tree House, Built By the ‘Spirit of God’ (With No Blueprints)
The 100-foot building, called “The Minister’s Treehouse,” was built in Crossville, Tennessee, over a period of 11 years. Unlike other houses of worship that are meticulously plotted and blueprinted, this particular building was constructed without any solidified plans.

Chicago Shootings Skyrocket as Jarrett Wedding Pulls 100+ Cops
Even as Chicago sent 100+ police officers to guard the wedding of Valerie Jarrett’s daughter, the city underwent a dramatic crime wave. The Dallas County Sheriff’s office said, around 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning, 21-year-old Santiago Morin-Gonzalez drove a white Ford F-150 the wrong way down northbound Interstate-35E and crashed into oncoming traffic.
Vasquez was in a car, caught between two others in the wreckage.
Rescue crews were able to free her, but Vasquez’s parents said that, by the time they reached Parkland Memorial Hospital, she had died.
I suppose I could be all PC about this and say that citizens kill people with their cars all the time, so why differentiate between them and illegal aliens, but no. I don’t think so.
If we had control of our border, Santiago would not have been in the country. If he wasn’t in the country, he wouldn’t be drunk, tooling down the wrong side of the interstate towards Maria Vazquez.
If he wasn’t in the country, she would be alive.

Study: DNA Tests Show Scale of Bad Convictions
The Urban Institute's study is the first to say how many exonerations are likely from Virginia's stash of archived, decades-old biological samples that so far have cleared at least five men who were convicted of sexual assaults. Officials with the state Department of Forensic Science, which is conducting the testing project, have said their job is not to suggest who should be exonerated, but to test the samples and deliver the results to law enforcement officials who determine whether they believe someone is innocent.
The institute's researchers found that in 5 percent of homicide and sexual assault cases, DNA testing ruled out the convicted person. If the scope is narrowed to just the sexual assault convictions, DNA testing eliminated between 8 percent and 15 percent of convicted offenders. The wrongful conviction rate previously had been estimated at 3 percent or less.

I had never thought about this...
A blogger added up the deer license sales in just a handful of states and arrived at a striking conclusion:
There were over 600,000 hunters this season in the state of Wisconsin .
Allow me to restate that number:
Over the last several months, Wisconsin's hunters became the eighth largest army in the world.
More men under arms than in Iran.
More than France and Germany combined.
These men deployed to the woods of a single American state, Wisconsin, to hunt with firearms, and no one was killed.
That number pales in comparison to the 750,000 who hunted the woods of Pennsylvania and Michigan's 700,000 hunters, all of whom have now returned home safely.
Toss in a quarter million hunters in West Virginia and it literally establishes the fact that the hunters of those four states alone would comprise the largest army in the world.
And then add in the total number of hunters in the other 46 states.
Tt's millions more.
The point?
America will forever be safe from foreign invasion with that kind of home-grown firepower.
Hunting....
it's not just a way to fill the freezer..
It's a matter of national security.

Now We Learn Obama Raised In Singapore?
MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – On the heels of the discovery of a 1991 publicity brochure stating Barack Obama was born in Kenya comes the unearthing of a 1990 Vanity Fair article stating Obama grew up in Singapore, not in Indonesia.
In both instances, the question immediately arises: Who was the source of the information that contradicts Obama’s accepted narrative?
In the case of the “born in Kenya” brochure, it’s almost certain that Obama was the source, because it was the policy of literary agent Acton & Dystel to ask its authors to write their own bios. The agency insists, however, “born in Kenya” was merely a “fact-checking error.” Nevertheless, the agency cannot explain why the “error” was repeated numerous times over the course of 16 years and never corrected by Obama.
WND found that in April 2007, two months after Obama had launched his presidential bid, Dystel was still touting the then-Democratic senator from Illinois as “born in Kenya.”
Was Obama the source of the “raised in Singapore” statement in the Vanity Fair profile, or was it an error by the writer and editors?
At the time of the 1990 article, Obama was the newly elected first black president of the Harvard Law Review.

Do you really want a Mayor who has been a government employee his entire adult life or would you rather have a Mayor who is a proven and successful businessman?
I do NOT believe Salisbury needs 500 affordable housing units Downtown. I do NOT believe in giving away parking lots to special interests for 100,000 new square feet of office space Downtown.
I believe we need to fill what we have FIRST. I believe in FINALLY supporting those people who have INVESTED into Downtown Salisbury. I believe we should get their input first. I believe in the vision I have created for Downtown Salisbury that will skyrocket economic and development as well as skyrocket property values.
I believe we should remove almost all parking meters Downtown to encourage and welcome visitors to stick around as long as they like, WITHOUT ever costing the taxpayers a penny in doing so.
If you'd like to know how this can be done along with many other ideas I have for Salisbury, come visit me at 300 W. Main Street like so many others have done. The former Ireton supporters are walking out with smiles on their faces because these are realistic ideas that finally give hope for the future of Salisbury.
The "politicians" of the past have proven they cannot manage the City. They have proven they are NOT business friendly and Salisbury needs to change that reputation. While many of you may not realize it, people interested in developing or even relocating their businesses run away from Salisbury so fast it isn't funny. This is why you're seeing most of the new development moving to Delmar and Fruitland. While this may not impact many of you on the surface, it does impact you when it comes to taxes. The more they build affordable and section 8 housing, the more your taxes go UP. YOU are paying for it. The more businesses we can bring to Salisbury the more it balances out that impact we're already stuck with.
I recently sat down with some people and asked, how many section 8, affordable housing and student housing have been built in the last 8 years? Their answer was, I really don't know exactly. I expected that answer as they were not prepared for the question. I then said, now I want you to look at it this way. How many NEW HOMES have been built in Salisbury over the last 8 years? Then it triggered in their minds. There were very few. Your current and former Mayor are killing Salisbury. You cannot grow if what your building isn't paying taxes.
So Mr. Teacher, it's a two year term, not four. You might find the image above VERY similar to a piece Obama put out recently. So I ask, do you really want four more years of Obama and Ireton?

Last night Greece “apparently” voted to (somehow) keep to “the program” and not immediately toss all the bonds they have issued into the paper shredder and send the pieces to Merkel.
It didn’t matter. Spain’s bond yields continued to rise this morning, are at this point over 7% and the overnight rally in the futures disappeared.
There’s a not-so-silent bank run in Greece. This will spread.
In Greece, and elsewhere in Europe, there is a developing story (not yet reported) where people are simply charging everything on their credit cards and have no intention of paying any of it — ever.
This will of course get cut off (as soon as it is publicly recognized that it’s going on) and the market will revert to cash-only. And when it does, the contraction will hit the markets and the public recognition like a freight train.

The Fabian Society believed that capitalism was the cause of an inefficient and unjust society, and Fabians wanted to focus and help society move to a socialist system as painlessly as possible. It was responsible for forming part of the foundation for the Labour Party, and today functions primarily as a think tank and is one of 15 socialist societies that are associated with the Labour Party. However, there is no doubt that of these, the Fabian Society is the most influential.
Almost singlehandedly, through its establishment not only of the Labour Party but also of the London School of Economics, the Fabian Society has played a major role in ruining most of Britain's republican institutions.
The Fabian Society's malevolence has spread far beyond Britain, however. Evidently and obviously affiliated with Western central banking families, the Fabian Society's impetus towards authoritarianism is well established now in education, media and politics.

Taxmageddon
Taxmageddon is getting ready to suffocate the U.S. economy under crushing tax increases on January 1, 2013. These tax hikes include the expiration of the 2001 and 2003 tax reductions and the tax increases from the 2010 health care law.
The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Data Analysis (CDA) ran the numbers based on data from the IRS and found how much Taxmageddon will cost the average taxpayers in each state and congressional district.
The $494 billion in new tax increases is $4,138 more in taxes for the average family in 2013, but some places will pay more.
Here is how much the average tax return in the worst hit states will pay:

US Retirement Benefits Underfunding Rises To Record $1.4 Trillion

Baseball Great Roger Clemens Found Not Guilty of Perjury
The case against Clemens involved one count of obstruction of Congress, three counts of making false statements and two counts of perjury. He was not charged with illicit use of performance-enhancing drugs, but his denial of such use was part of the case against him.
A federal jury found him not guilty on all six counts.

Holbrook Man Held on $1,000 Cash Bail in Brockton Sausage Attack
Michael A. Baker, 22, of 176 Longmeadow Drive, Apt. 204, Holbrook, is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a wrench; armed robbery; disturbing the peace; disorderly conduct; and receiving stolen property under $250.
In Brockton District Court on Monday, defense attorney Stacie Cooper said Baker was trying to defend himself from the alleged victim, who started a fight. An innocent plea was entered on Baker’s behalf. A probable cause hearing was set for July 17.

"As uncomfortable as it is, I want you wearing one," George Zimmerman told his wife. Zimmerman was wearing a bulletproof vest when he left jail after posting bond. His attorney, Mark O'Mara, has reported receiving threats.
The calls, released by prosecutors, also detail how Zimmerman instructed his wife to transfer money from bank accounts and could play a crucial role in his second bond hearing next week.

Bras For A Cause
Women Supporting Women Event a Success
Nearly 100 businesses, groups, and individuals participated in the 2nd Annual Bras for a Cause, a unique competition to help Women Supporting Women (WSW), a grass-roots local non-profit breast cancer support organization. “The talent that poured out of our folks here on the shore was amazing. Every time an entry came in the door, our staff stopped what they were doing to ‘Oooh’ and ‘Ahhh’,” said Sue Revelle, Executive Director of WSW. “The best part was the number of people who stopped by our table at the Centre at Salisbury, called, or came by our office to share their story, or receive services. This event started as an awareness campaign, and we succeeded in making more people aware of the importance of breast health. We were also able to reach and serve more survivors in more places here on Delmarva, and that’s a win for everybody.”
The winning didn’t stop there, however, as the event brought in over $11,000 for the non-profit organization. The overall top fundraiser was an aptly entry titled “Treasure Chest”. Its team of creators, called It’s a Family Thing, brought in over $1,500 alone. Says WSW’s Director of Fund Development, Carlos Mir, “Thanks to the partnership with the Centre at Salisbury, this event was simply awesome in every aspect… We can’t wait to do it again next year!”

Native Americans To Get Millions After 'Big Victory' In Supreme Court
The federal government had agreed to fully reimburse money tribes spent on programs like law enforcement, environmental protection and agricultural assistance, but Congress capped the amount of money earmarked for that reimbursement. The tribes sued, and the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver said the money must be fully reimbursed.
The high court on Monday ruled the Ramah Navajo Chapter and other Native American tribes must get their money back.

Mom Drowns in Creek
PRESTON — A Father’s Day outing in Preston turned tragic Sunday afternoon after a mother jumped into the Marsh Creek after her toddler, who fell from the Poplar Neck Bridge.
Dive teams dragged the Choptank River after the 22-year-old woman who jumped in after her 2 1/2-year-old at about 2:30 p.m. did not resurface.
Natural Resources Police Cpl. Barry Ball said the woman, her husband and their toddler were packing up after fishing on the bridge when the toddler fell overboard. The mother, who officials said cannot swim, jumped in after the child.

More Than 100,000 Acres Of Delaware Farmland Permanently Preserved
“Preserving agriculture is vital to our state’s economy and growing jobs,” said Gov. Jack Markell. “Keeping land in farming helps our environment and preserves open space, both of which are critical to the legacy we leave our children. This is a tremendous accomplishment that will pay off for years to come, and will keep Delaware number one in agricultural preservation.”
Settlements this fiscal year have brought the total acreage in permanent protection under the Delaware Agricultural Lands Preservation Foundation to 105,558 acres in all three counties. That represents a significant accomplishment for the state’s preservation program, which began in 1991 as a way to keep disappearing farmland in agriculture.
“Delaware farmland is more than just a major engine of our economy,” said Secretary of Agriculture Ed Kee. “It is our heritage and the centerpiece of our way of life. Keeping farmland active and in use ensures that future generations have the opportunity to enjoy and appreciate agriculture. Each acre saved is worth a celebration.”
The voluntary preservation program leverages state, local and federal contributions to purchase landowners’ development rights and have a permanent agricultural conservation easement placed on the property. All purchases by the Foundation are done at discount, or 55 percent of the appraised value on average. The average farm size in the program is 153 acres, at an average cost of $1,781 per acre.
“This program is a Delaware success story,” said Agricultural Lands Preservation Foundation Chairman Robert Garey, a Felton-area farmer. “It keeps farms strong and healthy, and our land open and undeveloped. This would not have been possible without the support of so many people from around the entire state.”
There are also 51,135 acres of farmland in preservation districts, voluntary agreements in which landowners agree to only use their land for agriculture for 10 years. Farmers must enroll in a preservation district before they can sell an easement.
“Reaching this milestone should be celebrated by all Delawareans,” said Foundation Vice-Chairman William Vanderwende, a Bridgeville-area farmer. “These 100,000 acres will be valued by the grandchildren of generations not yet born.”
Details of the current round of purchases are expected to be finalized in late 2012. More than 130 requests have been made for property appraisals in this round, up slightly over previous years.
“We are very pleased to mark this milestone,” said Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Austin Short, who oversees the preservation program. “This initiative has proven its worth in helping make Delaware’s agricultural industry profitable while supporting our quality of life.”
The Foundation’s Board of Trustees includes representatives from agriculture and state agencies. Trustees in addition to Garey, Vanderwende and Kee are L. Allen Messick Jr., treasurer; William H. “Chip” Narvel Jr., secretary; State Treasurer Chip Flowers; Secretary of Natural Resources and Environmental Control Collin O’Mara; Steven L. Ditmer; Theodore P. Bobola Jr.; and Robert Emerson.
Man Held in Aruba Sues Over Travel Insurance Claim
Gary Giordano says in a lawsuit that AMEX Assurance Company is required to pay him $3.5 million under the terms of a policy purchased before last summer's trip. He says in the suit that his companion, Robyn Gardner, is presumed dead following her Aug. 2 disappearance and that the insurance company "has a duty to pay the full death benefit" to him.
Giordano was held for months in an Aruban jail on suspicion of being involved in Gardner's disappearance, and the insurance policy's existence caught the attention of investigators and prosecutors. But an Aruban judge ordered him released in November, saying prosecutors didn't have enough evidence to continue holding him.

Long before a boxer breaks through as prospect, a contender or a champion, they must come from somewhere. They must learn their craft and work to perfect it in the amateur ranks. Unlike any other sport it means traveling all over the country to competitions, working 2 hours a night, 5 nights a week, 52 weeks a year, year, after year, after year, and going virtually unseen until the day comes when they can say they are a “professional Boxer”.
But you, All of you have made it a different story for the young boxers of our area. You have covered their climb from their first fights to professional title bouts, on national TV. You should know that you are a big part of what motivate these kids to push on and continue the climb.
For a young fighter, those few moments of glory in the ring can be fleeting. But to see and hear your name in the media afterwards, to have your teacher, friends and students, see it, read it and hear it, can be the difference between loosing a young boxer to the streets or building a champion. These kids are as excited about their names in the media as they are about winning. I just want to thank you all for the coverage you give these kids. Many other young boxers around the country deserve the coverage, but do not get it and we feel very fortunate for that.
I think you need to know that you play a part, not only in the success of these kids in the ring, but also as a motivator to keep these kids off the streets and in the gym. What you do, goes far beyond just reporting their results, you inspire them to stay with it and I thank you all for that.

Olympic Torch Proposal: David State Asks Christine Langham To Marry Him During Relay
David State proposed to his girlfriend Christine Langham on bended knee in the middle of his relay Monday between the towns of Marske-by-the-Sea and Loftus in north east England. He handed the torch to a nearby security official while he proposed.
She accepted, State then took the torch back and continued his run.

The June 1 Attack In Afghanistan Was Much Worse Than The US Military Let On
Official reports stated that Afghan forces and coalition forces "successfully repelled" insurgents wearing suicide vests who attacked the Forward Operating Base Salerno in Khwost. The military said that 14 insurgents were killed and that there were "no reports of ISAF fatalities" at the time.
What actually happened, according to the Washington Post, was that insurgents "flattened the dining hall and post exchange" when they drove a truck bomb with about 1,500 pounds of explosives into the base. The blast killed two Americans —a 22-year-old soldier and a contractor — while seriously wounding about three dozen troops and damaging houses as far as two miles away.
