Holbrook Man Held on $1,000 Cash Bail in Brockton Sausage Attack

A Holbrook man charged with attacking and robbing a Brockton man using stolen sausage links and a wrench was held on $1,000 cash bail at his arraignment Monday morning.

Michael A. Baker, 22, of 176 Longmeadow Drive, Apt. 204, Holbrook, is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a wrench; armed robbery; disturbing the peace; disorderly conduct; and receiving stolen property under $250.

In Brockton District Court on Monday, defense attorney Stacie Cooper said Baker was trying to defend himself from the alleged victim, who started a fight. An innocent plea was entered on Baker’s behalf. A probable cause hearing was set for July 17.
