‘Whistleblower’ Complaint Relies on Soros-Funded ‘Investigative Reporting’ Group

Sections of a so-called whistleblower’s complaint alleging President Donald Trump was “using the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country” in the 2020 presidential race relies upon a self-described investigative journalism organization bankrolled massively by billionaire activist George Soros.

The complainer admits, “I was not a direct witness to most of the events described.” Still, the so-called whistleblower goes on to allege that Trump pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

The transcript of the phone call authorized for release by President Trump evidences no such pressure or quid pro quo and shows the request to investigate alleged corruption involving Biden and his family was a small part of the call.

The “whistleblower” concedes that his information is based on secondhand knowledge: “However, I found my colleagues’ accounts of these events to be credible because, in almost all cases, multiple officials recounted fact patterns that were consistent with one another.”

Ex-ICE director clashes with Dem at hearing on detention facilities: 'You work for me!'

A tense hearing over border detention practices erupted into a shouting match between former Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Thomas Homan and Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., as Homan grew frustrated in his attempts to defend his former agency.

Jayapal, the vice chairwoman of the House Judiciary Immigration and Citizenship Subcommittee, repeatedly cut off Homan for exceeding his allotted time. It started when the former ICE director responded to a previous statement Jayapal made about the Trump administration's use of funding for additional detention beds.

"I'd like to remind you, under the Obama administration we did that most of the years he was president," Homan said. "I don't remember any hearings on that." He also pointed out that under Obama, when there had been a surge at the border, "Congress was quick to give us all the money we needed."

Jayapal responded, saying, "I didn't like it under the Obama administration either."

President Trump Raises $13 Million After Pelosi Announces Impeachment Inquiry

President Trump's repeated trashing of a Democratic impeachment inquiry has helped prompt a $13 million flood of campaign cash to bolster his reelection effort.

His campaign says that in the 24 hours that followed Pelosi's Tuesday announcement of an impeachment inquiry, it raised $5 million from online donors.

A Republican National Committee official said he was also expected to raise $5 million for his campaign and the RNC from a Wednesday night fundraiser, followed by an additional $3 million from a Thursday morning breakfast.

Acting ICE director calls out jurisdictions with sanctuary policies for threatening public safety

WASHINGTON — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Acting Director Matthew T. Albence held a White House press briefing Thursday to explain how sanctuary policies threaten public safety and called on the public to hold their local lawmakers accountable. The briefing made clear that local jurisdictions across the U.S. that refuse to cooperate with ICE are complicit in the crimes committed by aliens who ICE could have otherwise been arrested and removed.

Under federal law, ICE has the authority to lodge immigration detainers with law enforcement partners who have custody of individuals arrested on criminal charges and who ICE has probable cause to believe are removable aliens. The detainer form asks the other law enforcement agency to notify ICE in advance of release and to maintain custody of the alien for a brief period so that ICE can take custody of that person in a safe and secure setting upon release from that agency’s custody. Across the United States, several jurisdictions refuse to honor detainers and instead choose to willingly release criminal offenders back into their local communities where they are free to offend.

Acting Director Albence made clear that state and local jurisdictions that refuse to cooperate with immigration enforcement not only betray their duty to protect public safety, but force ICE to be more visible in those areas.

ICE arrests 54 in NJ during a week-long enforcement action targeting at-large criminal aliens released into the community

NEWARK, N.J. – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrested 54 individuals throughout New Jersey during a weeklong action targeting public safety threats who were released from local law enforcement custody into the community instead of being transferred to ICE.

They hail from 12 countries – Mexico (21), Jamaica (1), Ecuador (2), Honduras (4), Dominican Republic (3), El Salvador (9), Guatemala (3), Guyana (1), Brazil (7), Costa Rica (1), Georgia (1) and Pakistan (1).

Even with these arrests, there are still public safety threats in the community.

• Luciano Trejo-Dominguez, 33, was arrested Aug. 12 by the Vineland Police Department for aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault (victim 13-15 years old), criminal restraint, criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child. On Aug. 13, 2019 and Aug. 14, 2019, respectively, the Pacific Enforcement Response Center and the ICE office in Mount Laurel both lodged detainers on Trejo-Dominguez with the Cumberland County Jail. He was released into the community Aug. 23, 2019, and remains at-large.

ICE arrests more than 80 during 5-day enforcement action in New York City, the Hudson Valley, and Long Island

NEW YORK – Officers from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) arrested more than 80 during a 5-day period, ending Sep. 25, in New York City, the Hudson Valley and Long Island.

During the enforcement effort, ERO arrested 82 individuals for violating U.S. immigration laws. Of those arrested, more than 40 had been previously released from local law enforcement custody with an active detainer. Ten of those arrested were previously removed from the United States and returned illegally. Several had prior felony convictions for serious or violent offenses, such as sexual crimes, weapons charges, and assault, or had past convictions for significant or multiple misdemeanors.

“Of those arrested during these five days, more than half were released from local custody with an active detainer. That is more than three dozen illegal aliens with convictions or criminal charges who were released back into New York communities, further putting the safety of its residents at risk,” said Thomas R. Decker, field office director for ERO New York. “Because of the senseless local laws in New York City, thousands of illegal aliens have been released; and as this trend continues, thousands more will be released back into the communities to threaten the safety of our city’s citizens. ICE deportation officers continue to focus enforcement efforts on arresting and removing those criminal aliens who think the laws of this country are mere suggestions.”

Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) writes in Fox News. “There was no quid pro quo – no ‘browbeating’ of a foreign leader. Just two heads of state talking about Ukraine's role in 2016 U.S. election interference and discussing getting to the bottom of the corruption that has spilled over between the two countries. With his history of deliberately distorting the truth, secretly disclosing classified information, and openly converting the House Intelligence Committee into a partisan opposition research operation, Schiff has repeatedly proven he cannot be trusted.”

The Trump Administration “agreed on Wednesday to stay in a United Nations body that has regulated international mail service for more than a century after delegates agreed during emergency talks to change the way postal fees are structured,” Nick Cumming-Bruce reports for The New York Times. The deal “will allow the United States to start setting its own postal fees in July and allow other countries that receive more than 75,000 metric tons of mail a year to start phasing in higher rates in January 2021.” White House Director of Trade and Manufacturing Policy Peter Navarro called the decision a “huge victory for millions of American workers and businesses,” saving the U.S. between $300 million and $500 million a year.

“In the media’s efforts to tie President Donald Trump with its latest conspiracy theory, CNN skipped an entire section of the released and unredacted transcript of a phone call to charge Trump with requesting a favor he never asked for,” Tristan Justice reports for The Federalist. The transcript that CNN read on air wrongly connected the word “favor” with President Trump “asking the Ukrainian leader to look into former vice president Joe Biden and his son Hunter’s questionable business dealings with a Ukrainian energy company”—a full 540 words later.

“The United States and Japan outlined initial details of a trade deal Wednesday as they … iron out a broader agreement,” Jacob Pramuk reports for CNBC. “The first stage of the accord will open markets up to about $7 billion in U.S. agricultural products, President Donald Trump said at a signing ceremony with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at the United Nations. Japan will also reduce tariffs on products such as beef and pork, and eliminate tariffs on goods such as almonds, blueberries and broccoli.”

OCEAN CITY — With the first-ever Jellyfish Festival in June providing something to build on, organizers this week filed an application with the Town of Ocean City to bring a bigger and better event back to the resort next year.

The inaugural Jellyfish Music Festival, held on the beach downtown and at venues all over the resort in June, provided a blueprint of sorts for future events. The event featured a live entertainment festival combined with action sports, family-oriented interactive entertainment and arts and culture in and around the Jellyfish Tentacle Village.

It utilized the town’s best assets including a state-of-the-art sound stage on the beach downtown and brought in significant headline acts for the first year. The live entertainment at the main stage on the beach downtown featured three theme nights.

Fresh Friday catered to a younger, millennial crowd with acts such as Badfish and Ballyhoo. Classic Saturday featured acts catering to a slightly older demographic including Styx, Crack the Sky and the Rayvns, for example. On Sunday, the festival transitioned to a family-friendly “music with a message” theme with acts such as Newboys and Crowder.

Laurel Man Charged with 5th Offense DUI After Crash-Laurel

Laurel- The Delaware State Police have arrested 36-year-old Jerod M. Kernodle with his 5th offense DUI after he was involved in a motor vehicle crash.

The incident occurred on September 25, 2019 at approximately 5:57 p.m., when Troopers were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Sussex Highway (US 13), south of Trussum Pond Road involving injuries.  Further investigation revealed that a 2008 Chrysler Minivan was stopped at a red light on northbound US 13, when a 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage, operated by Kernodle struck the rear of the vehicle.

When Troopers made contact with Kernodle an odor of alcohol was detected and a DUI investigation ensued.  A computer inquiry revealed that Kernodle  had four previous DUI convictions, making this his fifth offense, and a suspended driver’s license.

The operator of the minivan a 33-year-0ld female and her 7-year-old passenger were transported to the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Kernodle did not sustain injury and was taken into custody at the scene.  He was transported back to Troop 5 where he was charged with the following:

•  5^th Offense Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (Felony)
• Vehicular Assault Third Degree (2 counts)
• Driving While Suspended

Kernodle was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $6000.00 cash only bond.

CDC case study finds deer with tuberculosis can transmit bacteria to people

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is warning hunters that deer with tuberculosis can transmit the bacteria to humans.

The report stems from a case in Michigan in 2017 where a 77-year-old man who had no exposure to people or countries with endemic tuberculosis was diagnosed with the disease.

According to the CDC, the man was a regular hunter and had dressed deer in the state for 20 years. Following lab tests, the man was found to have been exposed to mycobacterium bovis, a bacterium found in deer, cattle, bison, and elk which can be spread to humans and cause TB.
