Nolte: From Trayvon to Jussie — Poll Shows Media Hoaxes Killed Race Relations
Gallup began polling opinions of race relations back in 2001. At that point, 70 percent of black Americans graded race relations as “very good” or “somewhat good,” while 62 percent of white people agreed.
Think about that… Eighteen years ago, black people were more satisfied with race relations than white people.
For another dozen years, outside of a bump here and a hiccup there, those numbers held. On average, more than 60 percent of black people and around 70 percent of white people gauged race relations as good.
In 2013, all was still good. More than two-thirds of blacks and whites were optimistic about race relations, and then it all collapsed. We went into a five-year dive we have still not recovered from. In the latest polling, only 55 percent of whites and 49 percent of blacks view race relations in a positive light.
So what happened in 2013?
What suddenly killed everything?

VIDEO: Immigration Authorities in Southern Mexico Attacked by Migrant Caravan
Mexican immigration authorities were attacked by members of a new Central American caravan which illegally crossed from Guatemala on Monday. The group of at least 500 pelted officials with rocks, causing damage to vehicles and minor injuries at a roadblock.
Mexican immigration officials (INAMI) in Chiapas attempted to turn back a caravan which arrived approximately a week ago at Guatemala’s southern border with Mexico. The group was growing daily and demanded passage via international border bridge in Suchiate, according to local reporting. The group was told by Mexican officials that the issuance of one-year humanitarian visas was suspended and migrants would need to return to their countries of origin to contact Mexican consulates, according to another report. The migrants were reportedly warned that those who crossed traveled without proper documentation would be deported. Two smaller migrant groups of 150 and 200 were recently rounded up by INAMI and Federal Police.
After several days on the Guatemalan border, the migrants forced their way across the international bridge into Mexico and traveled on foot to Ciudad Hidalgo and then Tapachula. After passing through Tapachula while heading north for approximately three hours, the group came upon 30 INAMI agents and Federal Police at a blocked roadway.

NYC's De Blasio Declines To Endorse Bernie, Says He Hasn't Ruled Out 2020 Run
Just hours after Bernie Sanders announced that he will be seeking the 2020 Democratic nomination, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, who came ever-so-close to endorsing the "Democratic Socialist" in 2016, even threatening his relationship with the all-powerful Clintons by delaying his endorsement of Hillary by a few months, revealed that - once again - he would not be endorsing Bernie during the 2020 primary.
According to Bloomberg, not only did de Blasio decline to endorse Bernie Sanders’ bid for the Oval Office, the newly reelected New York City mayor affirmed that he hasn't ruled out a 2020 bid of his own.
"I think Bernie did an incredible service for this country in his campaign in 2016, and it fundamentally changed the debate," de Blasio said of the Vermont senator during a news conference in Brooklyn on Tuesday. "I think we’re in a new situation here. There’s obviously a different dynamic, and I think everyone should assess the current situation we’re in.
"I do not rule out any particular path for myself," de Blasio said when asked by reporters whether he’s

What Comes After McCabe?
Andrew McCabe, former Deputy Director from February 2016 to January 2018 and former Acting Director of the FBI from May 9, 2017, to August 2, 2017, was fired by Attorney General Jeff Sessions Sessions on March 16, 2018, 26 hours before his scheduled retirement. On April 18 2018 it was reported that the Justice Department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, sent a referral to the US attorney’s office in Washington for possible criminal charges against McCabe for lying to internal investigators.
When Sessions announced McCabe’s firing a month before the report came out, he said he based his decision on reports from the DOJ Inspector General and the FBI’s disciplinary office saying that McCabe had made unauthorized releases of information to the media (concerning disclosure of information to a Wall Street Journal reporter about an ongoing investigation into the Clinton Foundation), and had “lacked candor” in talking about it (“had “lacked candor” in talking” means “lied”)
For a reason I don’t really understand -is it really just because he has a book coming out?- McCabe did an interview with 60 minutes that aired Sunday, but from which details leaked earlier in the week. In it McCabe suggests he was fired because he opened two investigations into US President Donald Trump 10 months before Sessions ousted him.
That seems peculiar for two reasons: one, why would he have been permitted to investigate Trump for 10 months, if the investigations were the reason to fire him? And two, is McCabe suggesting that at least some colleagues inside the FBI itself did not accuse him of lying? I haven’t seen that denied before. It would mean both the DOJ Inspector General and the FBI’s disciplinary office were dead wrong.

Subject: After Legalizing Abortions Up to Birth, New York Wants to Shut Down Christian Adoption Agency
State office takes issue with agency policy prioritizing placement of children in homes with married mother and fathe
Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys representing a faith-based adoption provider will be available for media interviews after a federal court hearing Tuesday in New Hope Family Services’ lawsuit against the state of New York. New Hope asked the court in December to stop the state from targeting it for its religious beliefs and to preserve its ability to continue placing children in adoptive homes while the lawsuit moves forward.
The New York State Office of Children and Family Services has singled out the religious nonprofit for its policy prioritizing the placement of children it serves in homes with a married mother and father and has threatened to force New Hope to immediately phase out its adoption program.
“Every child deserves a permanent home with loving parents,” said ADF Legal Counsel Jeana Hallock. “For over 50 years, New Hope has served children and families throughout the state of New York by offering a comprehensive, ‘arm-around-the-shoulder’ ministry and walking with both birth parents and adoptive parents to place children in forever homes. Protecting this religious nonprofit does nothing to interfere with other adoption providers. Banishing New Hope as a faith-based adoption provider, however, means fewer kids will find permanent homes, fewer adoptive parents will ever welcome their new child, and fewer birth parents will enjoy the exceptional support that New Hope has offered for decades. In short, everyone loses if the government forces New Hope to shut down.”

Maryland Fishing Report

James King of Richfield, N.J., caught this 18.5-pound tautog near Ocean City, tagged it and returned it to the cold depths.
February is often thought of as a time for fishermen to keep busy by going over tackle, fly tying or attending outdoor shows. But others know there are fish out there and many know how to find them.
The preseason trout stocking program has started in earnest, and there is good fishing for yellow perch and a mixed bag of freshwater fish.
Off the coast of Ocean City, fishermen come from far and wide to pursue trophy-sized tautog.
For Chesapeake Bay anglers, the best show in town is the spawning runs of yellow perch that are developing in the tidal rivers. The yellow perch are staging in the middle to upper parts of the spawning rivers and creeks and can often be found holding in some of the deeper waters. They tend to move up on an incoming tide and will often hold below the spawning areas until water temperatures are to their liking. The smaller male yellow perch will often be the first to arrive followed by the larger females.
It is hard to beat live minnows for the larger yellow perch and the minnows can be fished under a slip bobber or retrieved slowly along the bottom with a split shot a foot or so forward of the minnow or lip hooked on a hook. A small cut piece of a live minnow will also often do well when casting a small jig. When fishing in deep water such as the lower Susquehanna River, enough sinker will be needed to hold a two hook dropper rig near the bottom. Many fishermen also have good luck by placing a small piece of felt that has been doused with anise or a favorite bait juice on a small jig. Most jigs used will be about 1/16 or 1/8 ounce and soft plastics or beetle spins often work well.
One of the fun things about yellow perch fishing is that many areas can be fished from shore and a lot of tackle and preparation is not needed. The very end of a flood tide and the beginning of an ebb tide often provides the best fishing opportunities. A light spinning outfit with 4-pound to 6-pound test monofilament line, a few small jigs and or minnows and you’re ready to go. Online, the Tide Finder link is a good place to start your yellow perch fishing adventures.
Our Click Before You Cast forecasts will return in March.
Upper Chesapeake Bay

Snow melt from upper watershed areas continue to fuel high flows and stained water conditions. Despite these conditions, there has been some good fishing for yellow perch in the Susquehanna River near Perryville for those using dropper rigs with small jigheads and minnows. Fishing for yellow perch has been good in the lower Northeast River from small boats, kayaks and the piers at Community Park in the town of North East.
Other tributaries to the upper bay that provide good yellow perch fishing include the Bush, Middle, Magothy, the Belle Grove Ponds off the Patapsco River, and the upper Chester River.
Fishing for catfish in the lower Susquehanna River has been good for a mix of channel and flathead catfish, and more blue cats are being caught each year. The fishing for channel catfish extends south to include all of the tidal tributaries leading to the bay. Cut bait is perhaps the most common bait used and fresh is always the best. White perch are beginning to show up in the deep holes at the mouths of most tidal rivers and can be caught on pieces of bloodworm. They make excellent fresh bait for catfish as do gizzard shad if you can procure them with a cast net. Chicken breast or chicken liver can also make a decent bait for channel catfish.
Middle Bay
Yellow perch are being found in various areas of the upper Choptank, Tuckahoe and Nanticoke rivers. The yellow perch tend to be in the area below Denton in the Choptank, between Route 328 and Hillsboro in the Tuckahoe and near the mouth of the Marshyhope and north on the Nanticoke River. These same rivers are also holding white perch near the mouth of the rivers and lower regions in deep channel areas. Minnows and small jigs tend to be the best way to fish for yellow perch and pieces of bloodworm on a bottom rig or jig for white perch.
Fishing for blue catfish in the Nanticoke River in the Sharptown area continues to be excellent this month in the deeper channels. Fresh baits of white perch, gizzard shad or even bluegill sunfish make good baits. Channel catfish can be found in all of the tidal rivers in the region and can be caught on a variety baits such as cut bait, nightcrawlers, chicken breast and chicken liver.

Lower Bay

Perhaps the hottest ticket this month is the tidal Potomac River. The fishing for blue catfish in the region below the Wilson Bridge south has been excellent this month with many large catfish being caught. Those wishing to stock up the freezer have been catching medium sized blue catfish in the same area. Fresh gizzard shad is the most favored bait but white perch or bluegill sunfish work well also.
Some industrious souls have been venturing out into the lower Chesapeake trolling for the vanguard of the spring striped bass run and have been connecting with a few brutes. It is a bit early but there are always fish and fishermen that do not follow the norm. Striped bass will begin to filter into the bay next month in earnest but there are always some early arrivals.
Crappie fishing in the tidal Potomac has been excellent around the Wilson Bridge, marina docks and piers. Minnows or small jigs under a slip bobber has been the best way to catch them as they tend to school up around deep structure.
Yellow perch are moving up the Patuxent, Pocomoke and Wicomico rivers and can generally can be found in the upper sections of the rivers. Other good places to fish for them will be the Wicomico and Mattawoman tributaries off the tidal Potomac River later on this month.

Freshwater Fishing
The preseason trout stocking program has been great news for freshwater anglers who may have been suffering from a bit of cabin fever this month. Stocking crews are covering a wide range of areas, making sure that there is good trout fishing opportunities near you. The trout stocking website will show you the latest stockings the day they occur.
Put-and-take trout fishing is a wonderful experience for our young anglers so make sure you don’t leave your own or the neighborhood kids a home. A light spinning outfit, some #8 bait hooks, some split shot and a jar of Powerbait is all you need. For those looking for a little more challenge, fly fishing with weighted nymphs is a fine alternative.
Casting small spinners or spoons with an ultra-light spinning outfit is also a fun and great way to cover water looking for trout others may have missed with bait. Fly fishing with streamers or Wooley Bugger flies is another great alternative.
Reports from Deep Creek Lake and nearby reservoirs in Western Maryland tell of unsafe ice and open water in some areas. It is going to take a lot of very cold weather for it to be safe again.
There tends to be plenty of open water in the central, southern and eastern regions of the state in reservoirs and ponds. Largemouth bass are holding near deep structure and can be enticed to pick up soft plastic jigs, deep diving crankbaits and blade lures. The trick will be to present lures in smaller sizes, slow down the retrieve and keep baits close to the bottom. The bite will be subtle and often will feel like you’re snagged.

#RedforEd: Socialists Organizing Teachers to Turn Purple States Blue by 2020
A well-funded and subversive leftist movement of teachers in the United States threatens to tilt the political balance nationwide in the direction of Democrats across the country as Republicans barely hang on in key states that they need to hold for President Donald Trump to win re-election and for Republicans to have a shot at retaking the House and holding onto their Senate majority.
This teachers union effort, called #RedforEd, has its roots in the very same socialism that President Trump vowed in his 2019 State of the Union address to stop, and it began in its current form in early 2018 in a far-flung corner of the country before spreading nationally. Its stated goals–higher teacher pay and better education conditions–are overshadowed by a more malevolent political agenda: a leftist Democrat uprising designed to flip purple or red states to blue, using the might of a significant part of the education system as its lever.
The movement takes its name from a political organizing tool first seen in Florida in 2010, when teachers union members wore red to express political opposition to public school reform proposals under consideration at that time in the state and encouraged parents and political activists from other unions to join them.

Supreme Court rules Constitution's ban on excessive fines applies to the states
A constitutional provision prohibiting the imposition of excessive fines extends beyond the federal government to states and cities, the Supreme Court ruled Wednesday.
The high court's unanimous decision expanding the Eighth Amendment's excessive fines clause delivered a victory to an Indiana man who challenged the state’s seizure of his $42,000 Land Rover. The ruling means in states and cities — like the feds — the amount of the forfeiture must bear some relationship to the gravity of the offense that it is designed to punish.
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who returned to the bench for the first time since undergoing lung cancer surgery in December, wrote the opinion.

Chemicals In Non-Stick Frying Pans Are Making Men's Penises Smaller
Attention parents...
Its possible men could end up with penises half-an-inch shorter than usual if their parents were exposed to high levels of a chemical called PFCs that are used in non-stick frying pans.
Scientists found that PFCs, interfere with male hormones and can cause sexual organs to be noticeably... smaller.
"This effect is not only seen in the womb, the researchers said. PFCs could have toxic effects in teenagers, too."
The chemicals get into the bloodstream and reduce testosterone levels can also be found in waterproof clothing and greaseproof packaging for food. Fast food wrappers are covered in it.
Scientists found young men who grew up in an area polluted with PFCs have penises 12.5 per cent shorter and 6.3 per cent thinner than healthy men.

Part of the contractual agreement each Officer signs states they must pay the City back if they don't like it. Officer go through the Academy being taught the "right way" and when they come on board with the SPD they completely change things, (like charges) and Officers become extremely frustrated because they were trained and hired to do a job and their Police Chief only wants to give out free pizza and keep crime stats way down by reducing charges.
Many Officers have come to me saying, who go to work every day if the Chief and Mayor and just going to dismiss charges. When they quit, (Officers) they immediately find out that they have to pay back that $10,000.00. I say, bring it to Judge Judy, IT'S A GIFT!
