New Jersey judge, during DUI arrest, tells officers he is a 'f----ing judge' and will 'fight' them

A New Jersey judge barred from hearing DWI cases after previously being accused in one is heard telling officers he is a “f----ing judge” in newly-released video of the 2016 incident.

Wilfredo Benitez, a municipal judge in East Orange, Belleville and Bloomfield, was found passed out in his vehicle in Teaneck with the car's emergency lights flashing in the early morning hours of Nov. 12, and was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving, NJ.com reported, citing court records. Benitez blew a blood-alcohol level two times the legal limit in a police sobriety test, it added, but eventually was acquitted in the case due to flaws in the investigation.

“You are wasting your time and you know it!” Benitez is heard telling a New Jersey state trooper as he is being read his Miranda rights. “I will f----ing fight you, and you know you’re being a d---.”

Disabled Veterans Waited Up to Seven Months for VA to Fix Their Wheelchairs

Disabled veterans had to wait more than two months for the government to fix their wheelchairs, leading to some veterans confined to beds because of mismanagement at the Department of Veterans Affairs, according to a new audit.

The inspector general for Veterans Affairsreported this week on problems at VA medical facilities in its southeast network with its repair system for scooters and wheelchairs. One vet waited as long as 210 days—roughly 7 months—for his power wheelchair to be fixed.

The inspector general initiated the audit after Senate committee chairman Johnny Isakson (R., Ga.) heard of delays at the Atlanta VA. The audit found that the problem was widespread at eight facilities within the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) in the southeast.

The audit revealed 40 percent of repair orders were delayed, taking an average 69 days to complete.

Clinton Responds to Backlash From India Interview: ‘I Meant No Disrespect to Any Individual or Group’

Two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton posted on Facebook Saturday to try and explain her widely-criticized comments made in India about Donald Trump voters and his presidential campaign.

Clinton wrote that during the interview, she was asked whether Trump is a virus or a symptom of something deeper going on in American society.

"My first instinct was to defend Americans and explain how Donald Trump could have been elected," Clinton said.

During her comments in India, which were criticized by both the right and left, Clinton said in 2016 she was successful in parts of the country that are "optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving-forward" while Trump won more "backward" regions. "His whole campaign, ‘Make America Great Again,’ was looking backward," she said. "You know, ‘you didn’t like black people getting rights, you don’t like women getting jobs, you don’t want to see that Indian-American succeeding more than you are, whatever your problem is, I’m going to solve it.'"

People Who Enjoy Cleaning The House Are Happier, More Relaxed, Survey Finds

Need to inject some positivity into your home? A little spring cleaning might just do the trick, a new study finds.

A household name in the cleaning industry recently released findings from a multi-faceted study it conducted in which the findings suggest that keeping a neat living space promotes empathy.

The study’s first component consisted of an online survey of 2,000 American adults which found that those who enjoyed the act of cleaning were 25% happier that those who did not.

Furthermore, those who frequently spruced up the house didn’t seem to experience diminishing returns: for each extra hour of cleaning a week, the average respondent’s happiness increased by 53%.

Regular cleaning was also associated with other positive health outcomes, including improved relaxation (indicated by 80% of respondents), heightened focus (77%), better sleep (72%), and increased productivity (72%), the researchers found.

Update: Trump lawyer Sekulow confirms that Mr. Digenova is to join Trump's legal team.

As we detailed earlier, in the latest sign that the conclusion of Special Counsel Robert Mueller's probe is still a ways off, the New York Times reported Monday that the president has decided to hire another lawyer to his legal team.

Trump is reportedly bringing on Joseph diGenova, a longtime Washington lawyer who has pushed the theory that the FBI and Justice Department framed Trump in their push to remove him from office.

DiGenova isn't expected to take a lead role, but he is expected to be a "more aggressive player on the president's legal team", joining in the middle of negotiations with the special counsel over the parameters of a possible interview with the president.

High court refused to hear appeal to 9th Circuit Court ruling

The state of Arizona must allow illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses, the Supreme Court indicated Monday.

The high court refused to take up an appeal of a 9th Circuit Court ruling, allowing the lower court’s decision to stand.

The ACLU launched a lawsuit after Arizona stopped issuing licenses to DACA recipients following President Obama’s mandate protecting so-called Dreamers from deportation.

Former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer had argued the ban on illegals obtaining licenses helped prevent social services fraud.

San Francisco’s 9th Circuit Court of Appeals interpreted Arizona’s decision as an attempt to supersede federal immigration law, claiming the state was developing its own definition of legal immigrants, Reuters reports.

School resource officer credited with stopping Maryland school shooter

ST. MARY'S COUNTY, Md. - A school resource officer is being credited with stopping the gunman in a shooting that injured two students at a St. Mary’s County high school Tuesday morning.

Authorities say a 17-year-old student fired shots inside a hallway at Great Mills High School at about 7:55 a.m. Deputies said the shooter, identified as Austin Rollins, shot a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy, both of whom are also students.

School Resource Officer Deputy 1st Class Blaine Gaskill was alerted to the shooting and according to Sheriff Tim Cameron, he immediately responded and engaged Rollins. Sheriff Cameron said Deputy Gaskill fired at the shooter, and almost simultaneously, the shooter also fired. It’s not clear yet whether Deputy Gaskill’s round hit the shooter.

Study Confirms Facebook's Leftist Bias

Facebook's recent algorithm change is designed to limit and censor conservative news content.

A recently released study by The Western Journal confirms what many conservative sites have observed — that Facebook’s “trusted source” algorithm is biased against their content and has dramatically and negatively impacted their traffic.

The study noted the following example of Facebook’s blatant leftist bias:

Case in point: Two rival publishers in New York City, the New York Post and the New York Daily News, are similar in many ways, except for their editorial slants. The Post is well-known as a right-leaning outlet, whereas the Daily News has an established left-leaning slant. For example, the Daily News recently ran a headline after the Parkland shooting that read, “Brave Florida survivors plan day of action for gun sanity and to call out ‘blood on hands’ of NRA puppets.”

Headlines like that garnered the Daily News a 24.18 percent increase in traffic from Facebook, while the right-leaning Post’s traffic dropped 11.44 percent in the same time period.

Hillary Clinton Doubles Down on Victimitis

Hillary took to Facebook not to apologize but to defend the reason she berated white women voters.

Proving for the zillionth time that she is quite literally incapable of even pretending to offer a sincere apology, Hillary Clinton took to Facebook this weekend not to express genuine regret for her recent tawdry remarks against white women — she implied most of them are enslaved to their husbands’ political perspectives — but to defend her tirade.

Hillary posted an 862-word screed on St. Patrick’s Day, writing, “I said throughout the campaign, Trump’s message was dark and backwards looking. … I never accepted that and never will.” As if to further jab people who elected Donald Trump as president, she also complained that he “has done nothing positive to ease the pain of the people who most strongly supported him, from the loss of jobs in coal country to the opioid epidemic to the tax bill that increases the debt by $1.5 trillion with a massive corporate tax cut, only 13% of which went to workers in the form of bonuses or pay raises.” Right — that argument again.

Addressing women voters specifically, she noted again “that there is anecdotal evidence and some research to suggest that women are unfortunately more swayed by men than the other way around.” She then argued:

74% Of Americans Believe The "Deep State" Is Running The Country

For the past two years, the long-running narrative, at least that promulgated by the mainstream media which continues to "explain away" Hillary Clinton's loss to Donald Trump, is that Americans had fallen for a massive, long-running fake news scam (in part aided and abetted by the likes of Facebook), which boosted Trump's popularity at the expense of Hillary's as part of some giant "Russian collusion" conspiracy theory between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin (which Mueller was supposed to uncover, but has instead shifted toinvestigating obstruction, seemingly unable to find anything).

But what if that entire narrative is dead wrong: what if Americans have become so skeptical in the government process and structure, they never needed a "fake news" boost to vote for an establishment outsider?

According to a new poll, that's precisely the case because a supermajority of Americans believes the faction of unelected officials, known as the deep state, is orchestrating policy in Washington, D.C. and effectively running the nation.

The Monmouth University Polling Institute found that no less than 74% of Americans believe in a "deep state" when it is described as a collection of unelected officials running policy. Only 21% do not believe this kind of group exists.

As a result of countless "conspiracy theories" being proven as facts in recent years, chief among which the Edwards Snowden revelations which exposed the NSA as nothing short of "big brother", and the Wikileaks disclosures which revealed how the Democratic Party colluded against Bernie Sanders to promote Clinton's candidacy and countless more such examples, fully 8-in-10 believe that the U.S. government currently monitors or spies on the activities of American citizens, including a majority (53%) who say this activity is widespread and another 29% who say such monitoring happens but is not widespread. Just 14% say this monitoring does not happen at all. Shockinly, there were no substantial partisan differences in these results.

Raleigh police are asking Google to provide user data for all people near crime scenes

Police in Raleigh, North Carolina, have presented Google with warrants to obtain data from mobile phones from not just specific suspects who were in a crime scene area, but from the mobile phones of all people in the area, reports Raleigh television affiliate WRAL. The request will trouble Fourth Amendment advocates as it could be seen that police are carrying out unreasonable searches on people who just happened to be in the area at the time the crimes were committed. And the area sizes the police requesting the data on are not small. In one instance, police requested user data from Google for anyone within a 17-acre area. For its part, Google has not revealed whether it has complied with the police request.

Chicken Chumps Packed Off To State Prison

Georgia couple begins hard time for cold food attack

The Georgia couple convicted of attacking a restaurant owner and her teenage daughter over cold takeout chicken have been shipped off to state prison to begin serving lengthy sentences for the beatdown, video of which was recorded by a surveillance camera and subsequently went viral.

State records show that Nathaniel Smith, 45, and LaTasha Smith, 29, were transferred in the past two weeks from a county jail to the custody of the Georgia Department of Corrections.

Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Press Release

On March 17, 2018 Deputies from the Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputies participated in a Sobriety Check Point with the Pocomoke City Police in the area of Ocean Highway and Brantley Road, Pocomoke Worcester Maryland 21851.

A Deputy smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from one of the vehicles that came through the check point. A search of the vehicle was conducted. The Deputy located a loaded 40 caliber handgun in the glove box of the vehicle. Deputies also recovered a small amount of raw marijuana from the driver, who was identified as Camiri Custis, 31 of Melfa Virginia. Mr. Custis was placed under arrest for illegal transport of a handgun in vehicle. Mr. Custis was released pending trial from the District Court Commissioner.
