When teacher complains about the superintendent raise, she’s handcuffed [VIDEO]
A Louisiana middle school teacher was handcuffed and escorted off of school property. Why? She had the nerve to complain about the superintendent getting a raise. I would call that a violation of free speech right there. Other teachers and staff are not getting raises. Their salaries have been frozen for years. This prompted Deyshia Hargrave to ask why that was the case. For doing so at a school board meeting, a security officer pushed her to the floor… hard. Then handcuffed her and led her off. Just shameful.

I don’t know if you have ever been to a school board meeting, but I used to go to them in Nevada all the time. Things like this happened there too. Most of the school board members at those meetings were either single, gay or wealthy businessmen. That should not be allowed. To be on a school board in my opinion, you should have children in school or be involved somehow in the process. Otherwise, you get something like this.

General Loses a Three-Star Promotion for Supposedly Calling Dem Congressional Staffer ‘Sweetheart’
This is just bitingly stupid. The US Army in all its wisdom has decided to yank the promotion of Maj. Gen. Ryan Gonsalves. Why? Because he called a female congressional staffer ‘sweetheart’. The horror! Off with his freaking head!! SMH. The general was up for a third star, but no more. I’m surprised they didn’t court martial the poor guy. This evidently violated the Army Command Policy’s rule on “dignity and respect.” You’ve got to be kidding me. This is not the Army I recognize. They’ve taken political correctness into the Stratosphere.
Check it out… some coward, who remains anonymous, filed a complaint to the Army Inspector General on July 20. Doesn’t the general have a right to face his accusers? Not so much it would seem. The exchange reportedly happened at an October 2016 meeting at Fort Carson, Colorado. I’m sure the poor dear woman is still recovering from this wicked assault. According to the IG’s findings, Gonsalves picked on the staffer, who worked for Rep. Jim Langevin (D-RI 2nd district). He allegedly asked her about her age and told her to take notes “since she was a Democrat and did not believe in funding the military,” said the IG report. Why do I seriously doubt he actually said that? Even if he did, he has a right to his opinion and he did not abuse the woman. But again, I don’t think he did. Gonsalves didn’t rise to this level in the military just to do something that dumb that would leave him open to attack.

So what happens when you’re told by a Prosecutor that your garbage is no longer yours when you put it on the curb? Surely the 4th Amendment would cover the unlawful search and seizure of your property, including your trashcan, right?
NOPE! At least, that was the answer given by Prosecutor Mark McDonnell who said that when it hits the curb, it become public property and therefore anyone can go through it at their leisure. The thought alone makes my skin crawl, but instead of letting their disgust get the better of them, a group of clever journalists decided to test McDonnell’s dedication to this.
In March, the police decided to snag the garbage of police officer Gina Hoesly without permission. Despite not having a warrant, a bloody tampon (among other things) became the basis of a drug charge against her.
When asked about the legality of such a move (many people were rightly concerned that this was a severe violation of privacy) the Prosecutor gave a simple, smug answer.

An FBI probe into a 2010 property deal orchestrated by Jane Sanders, wife of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), has escalated after a report by VTDIGGER reveals that a grand jury has been empaneled, and at least one witness has given sworn testimony in the case.
According to VTDigger, "Former Burlington College board member Robin Lloyd says she testified for about an hour on Oct. 26before a grand jury at the federal courthouse in Burlington."
Paul Van de Graaf, chief of the criminal division for the U.S. attorneys office in Vermont, questioned Lloyd about her role as the development chair of the colleges board of trustees during a period when Sanders was collecting donations and pledges for the purchase of a $10 million city lakefront property. -VTDigger

On Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at 1953 hours, the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Vintage Beer and Wine Store located at 610 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, Maryland for a reported armed robbery. Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Division also responded.
The victim reported two black males had entered the store at approximately 7:52PM, one of them being armed with a long gun. The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money and fled the store. Deputies and allied agencies canvassed the area on foot and utilizing a K-9 from the Salisbury Police Department.
The suspects were described as two black males, 5’10-6’0 in height, slim to medium build. Both suspects were clothed in dark clothing.

A math professor at Brooklyn College wrote an academic paper contending that meritocracy in math class holds back racial minorities and is a tool of “whiteness,” Campus Reform reported on Monday.
Professor Laurie Rubel, a former high school teacher, wrote the article in the Journal of Urban Mathematics Education. She reportedly contends that meritocracy is oftentimes associated with hard work, but it ignores “systematic barriers” that prevent the opportunity of success.
Rubel reportedly recommended that math teachers use more social justice issues during lessons. Rubel, however, warned that teaching “social justice” can also be a tool of whiteness if teachers are ignorant to the experiences of their minority students.
Campus Reform linked out to a PDF file of the article where Rubel cites another scholarly article to make the case that, “Teachers often view participation of marginalized students as off-task, unproductive, or distracting, even when it reflects students’ membership of and competence in another social context, unbeknownst to the teacher.”

Troopers Seek Public’s Assistance in Locating Burglary Suspect-Selbyville

Selbyville – The Delaware State Police Criminal Investigation Unit is seeking the public's assistance in attempting to locate a suspect in connection with multiple burglaries.
The suspect identified as 25-year-old William Wagner of Selbyville is wanted in connection with several burglaries that have occurred in the Swann Keys development from November 6, 2017 to January 6, 2018. Through investigative measures, Detectives were able to link Wagner to these burglaries and have obtained warrants for his arrest. Detectives have been unable to locate Wagner who is believed to be in the Swann Keys area, however he is also known to have ties to the Frankford area.
If anyone has further information in reference to these burglaries or can provide the whereabouts of Wagner, they are asked to please contact Detective A. Bluto at 302-752-3864. Even a major network endorsed her. “Nothing but respect for OUR future president,” read a tweet on NBC’s verified account (since deleted).
Oprah, who until Sunday night insisted she would never run for president — “I will never run for public office,” she told The Hollywood Reporter in October — is apparently having second thoughts.
“It’s up to the people,’” her partner, Stedman Graham, told the LA Times. “She would absolutely do it.”
She should absolutely not.

A native of India who arrived in the U.S. in 1991 without any travel documents or proof of identity had his naturalized citizenship revoked in part of Homeland Security's Operation Janus.
The initiative identified about 315,000 cases where there were issues with fingerprint data at a central database.
In some cases, the fingerprints were missing, which could indicate that some individuals "may have sought to circumvent criminal record and other background checks in the naturalization process," a Department of Justice statement read.
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services plans on refering 1,600 for prosecution.
Baljinder Singh, who also goes by Davinder Singh, arrived at the San Francisco International Airport on Sept. 25, 1991, without proof of identity, the statement read.
The 43-year-old eventually married a U.S. citizen and abandoned an earlier asylum application where he used a different name, the statement read. He has been living in Carteret, N.J.

US Spy Satellite Believed Destroyed after Failing to Reach Orbit
A U.S. spy satellite that was launched from Cape Canaveral, Florida, aboard a SpaceX rocket on Sunday failed to reach orbit and is assumed to be a total loss, two U.S. officials briefed on the mission said on Monday.
The classified intelligence satellite, built by Northrop Grumman Corp, failed to separate from the second stage of the Falcon 9 rocket and is assumed to have broken up or plunged into the sea, said the two officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
The satellite is assumed to be "a write-off," one of the officials said.

Of course, such a prodigious distance also means that ASASSN-15lh actually went supernova 3.8 billion years ago.
The star was so far away from our planet that it took billions of years for the light from the supernova to reach us.
It’s mind boggling to think about. But in a way, the same can be said of many of the financial risks that we face.

The White House’s plan to bail out America’s coal country has been shot down — by the very energy regulators that President Donald Trump appointed last year.
In an order Monday, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission rejected U.S. Energy Secretary Rick Perry’s sweeping proposal to subsidize struggling coal and nuclear plants in the name of keeping power grids dependable. Instead, the commission asked grid operators to suggest their own ideas to make the system more resilient.
“We appreciate the Secretary reinforcing the resilience of the bulk power system as an important issue that warrants further attention,” the agency said in the order. All five commissioners were appointed by Trump; three are Republicans.
The defeat is a setback for the president, who vowed on the campaign trail to revive the battered coal industry and put miners back to work. The Energy Department plan drew criticism from natural gas producers, grid operators and others who argued it would undermine competition in wholesale power markets. Consumers in more than a dozen states would have foot the bill, which could have totaled billions.

H&M was forced to offer an apology on Monday after posting an online advertisement featuring a black child modeling a sweatshirt reading “Coolest Monkey in the Jungle.”
“We sincerely apologize for offending people with this image of a printed hooded top. The image has been removed from all online channels and the product will not be for sale in the United States,” wrote H&M in a statement obtained by Fox News. “We believe in diversity and inclusion in all that we do and will be reviewing all our internal policies accordingly to avoid any future issues.”
