Iran Warns Trump Against Disclosing Secret Iran Deal Documents

Senior Iranian officials are warning the Trump administration about disclosing secret deals related to the nuclear deal that have long been hidden from the public by the Obama administration, according to recent comments that prompted pushback from senior sources on Capitol Hill.

Iran's warning comes on the heels of a Washington Free Beacon report disclosing that former national security adviser Michael Flynn had been pushed out of office partly due to his intention to release these sensitive documents to the American public.

Leading lawmakers in Congress launched multiple investigations last year into the Obama administration's efforts to keep these documents secret and out of public view. Sources who spoke to the Free Beacon about the matter said that the Trump White House is working on ways to publicize this information despite warnings from Iran.

Secret side deals related to the nuclear agreement remain unclassified but have been stashed in a secure location on Capitol Hill, making it difficult for staffers and lawmakers to view them. Individuals seeking to view these documents must have security clearance and are barred from taking notes or speaking about what they see.

Multiple senior congressional sources familiar with the nature of the documents told the Free Beacon that lawmakers and the Trump administration would not be intimidated by Iranian threats.

Alaeddin Boroujerdi, a senior Iranian lawmaker and head of country's foreign policy committee, warned the Trump administration against making these documents public in recent remarks.

Immigration groups demand freedom for illegal immigrant gang member

Immigration officials said Tuesday they are detaining an illegal immigrant Dreamer because of his gang ties, sparking a new round of protests from immigrant-rights groups who said President Trump is breaking his own promises by trying to deport the young man.

Daniel Ramirez, who was picked up by ICE agents late last week, was granted a temporary deportation amnesty by President Obama under his 2012 policy known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA.

But U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said he’s a “self-admitted gang member.” That puts him in violation of the DACA policy and would have made him a priority for deportation even under President Obama, much less Mr. Trump.

“ICE officers took Mr. Ramirez into custody based on his admitted gang affiliation and risk to public safety,” said agency spokeswoman Rose Richeson.

Immigrant-rights groups have complained about Mr. Ramirez’s arrest, saying it’s the latest evidence that Mr. Trump is trying to make good on his promise to oust illegal immigrants from the country.

“Daniel must be given his freedom, now,” said Greisa Martinez, advocacy director at United We Dream.

Hispanic Voters Support Punishing ‘Sanctuary Cities,’ Deporting Criminal Illegal Immigrants

A poll conducted for the non-profit Secure America Now has found that Hispanic voters support prioritizing the deportation of criminal illegal immigrants and punishing the cities that do not turn in undocumented immigrants, according to the Washington Examiner.

The poll, which was conducted by Republican research firm McLaughlin & Associates, reported that 59 percent of voters approve of cutting off funding to sanctuary cities, while 29 percent disapprove.

When looking at respondents more specifically, the survey found that 46 percent of Hispanic voters support cutting off funding to sanctuary cities, compared to 43 percent who oppose the move.

When it came to deporting criminal illegal immigrants, the survey found larger margins of support..

More Lies From The Liberal Left

Remember the woman who was fired from the Daily Times for her involvement in the alleged phone spoof from then Mayor Jim Ireton, this is her husband.

Of course she was a "target" on Salisbury News and now you know why.

Here's the funniest part of all. He claims that I make my own anonymous comments and that his friend was able to follow those comments back to my IP address.

First of all, none of us here at Salisbury News can trace back ANY IP address. Google simply doesn't allow it and I'm confident many of you have read just that when the FBI or Federal Government wants an IP address and Google refuses to allow it.

More importantly, I do mot make my own anonymous comments. You see, I'm man enough to always use my name because I fear no retaliation. Now think about this as well Folks. Funny how ALL of them come here to defend any anti liberal article, yet every comment they send in is ANONYMOUS.

As for our "revenue stream", liberals scream whenever we go after a business like the Daily Times because they feel people, (like his wife) will lose jobs. They say I'm killing the local economy. Yet WE take funds from advertisers and "Pay It Forward" to charity to HELP our communities, many times when people are at their lowest point in their lives, yet they want people to hurt our revenue stream.

You see Ladies & Gentlemen, Liberals are the very people who destroy America and other people in desperate need. It is not the conservative party. They make alleged spoof phone calls, (illegal) open a website in the name Joe Albero, (illegal) and LIE on a regular basis. I can't wait to watch all you liberals taking a swim in the now perfectly clean Wicomico River?

Ben Rayne, here's your 15 seconds of fame.

Trump signs bill undoing Obama coal mining rule

President Trump on Thursday signed legislation ending a key Obama administration coal mining rule.

The bill quashes the Office of Surface Mining's Stream Protection Rule, a regulation to protect waterways from coal mining waste that officials finalized in December.

The legislation is the second Trump has signed into law ending an Obama-era environmental regulation. On Tuesday, he signed a Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution undoing a financial disclosure requirement for energy companies.

Foreign companies build factories and airlines; Ex-Im makes the US pay for it

General Electric closed an appliance factory in Bloomington, Indiana, last year. The most luxurious of the GE refrigerators Hoosiers used to make there are now made in Mexico, and have been for many years. GE's factory complex in Mexico was subsidized years ago by the U.S. Export-Import Bank, a federal agency.

You could say that Mexico built a factory and made the U.S. pay for it.

President Trump, during the primary, said that he agreed with conservatives that Ex-Im, which extends taxpayer-backed financing to foreign companies and governments that buy U.S. goods, should be abolished.

Last week, however, Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., a champion of Ex-Im, emerged from a White House meeting declaring that Trump was now an Ex-Im supporter, and that he would push Congress to fill out the agency's board, thus empowering Ex-Im to approve subsidized deals of greater than $10 million.

This would be a mistake. Trump ran promising to drain the swamp. Ex-Im is the swamp. Touted as a way to help the small businessman or factory worker, it instead serves primarily to enrich foreign companies and Beltway insiders, while harming the rest of the economy.

Advice for My Conservative Students

WATERVILLE, Me. — Conservative media outlets have built a cottage industry of outrage on the premise that conservative students are victims of a “tyrannical” campus left. I know this message well, because over a decade ago, as a conservative student at Bucknell, I helped devise and spread it.

I am now a much more liberal professor. In the early 2000s, as I watched conservatives embrace the Patriot Act after Sept. 11, reject marriage equality and insist on authority over women’s reproductive health decisions, the libertarian streak that brought me to conservatism began pulling me to the left. But I still care deeply for the liberty of my conservative students. For this reason I have some advice for those in college who are concerned about their freedom of speech.

I was a reasonably good-natured kid from a modest Catholic household when I showed up to my liberal arts campus. Then suddenly I wasn’t me, the individual. I was just white. It seemed that everyone was celebrating diversity and multiculturalism, and I didn’t see a role for myself in that. It occurred to me, as it has to countless other conservative students, that I might also be a kind of minority — an “ideological minority” — because of my conservative political views.

Maryland lawmakers give AG blanket authority to sue Trump administration

Maryland’s General Assembly on Wednesday approved blanket authorizationfor state Attorney General Brian E. Frosh to sue the federal government, illustrating the eagerness of Democratic legislative leaders to challenge the Trump administration over undocumented immigrants, refugees, health care and other issues.

The proposal passed quickly through the legislature over the past two weeks on party-line votes that exposed an increasingly bitter partisan divide in Annapolis.

It will take effect without the signature of Gov. Larry Hogan (R), whose spokeswoman accused Democrats of engaging in “Washington-style party politics” and “philosophizing over what might or might not happen in Washington, D.C. — instead of focusing on Maryland.”

Liberals, DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO!

No disrespect towards Rise Up Coffee, (a great local business) how is it OK for the City of Salisbury to use a public Website to promote a local and carefully selected business to promote their products but the Liberals go after Kellyanne for promoting Ivanka Trump's clothing line?

It seems that elected Liberal Officials can have it both ways but God Forbid a Republican who's being attacked by the Liberal Party cannot.

Remember Folks, someone, (you) are paying for these flowers, coffee, pizza and other not so FREE acts of kindness.

Welcome to the City of Salisbury where everything now is either FREE or Affordable Housing. Don't forget your Obama Phones.

Voter fraud? 2 million non-citizen Hispanics registered to vote

'Contrary to the claims of many media outlets and so-called fact-checkers'

President Trump’s investigation of voter fraud in the wake of his claim that he would have won the nationwide popular vote if 3 million to 5 million illegal immigrants hadn’t voted just got a boost.

A new analysis has calculated that as many as 2 million non-citizen Hispanics were illegally registered to vote in the U.S., the Washington Times reported.

Already, an analysis by a political scientist at Old Dominion University, Jesse Richman, estimated Hillary Clinton received 834,381 net votes from noncitizens on Nov. 8.

Now, an analysis that combines a 2013 survey with U.S. Census data finds the number of illegally registered Hispanics could range from 1 million to 2.1 million.

It is derived from National Hispanic Survey, conducted in June 2013 by McLaughlin and Associates, and the number of non-citizen Hispanic adults in the U.S. Census of the same year.

Speed cameras hidden in construction cones for Maryland?

A story broke this week out of Ohio that a local village government was hiding speed cameras in orange construction cones to catch drivers.

It's so blatantly obvious that the camera fraud in this country is a total joke and ONLY EXISTS for one thing:

--to rake in money for politicians to spend
.

How many times have we heard from the camera scam proponents that these cameras are supposed to be a deterrent to slow people down?  They tell us that when people see them on the road they'll slow down?

If that were the case, then why are local jurisdictions starting to hide the cameras in construction cones?

For that matter, why are cameras in Maryland flashing at construction sites in the middle of the night with nobody working in them?

Not surprisingly, the village in Ohio that's hiding the cameras in cones is raking in the money and now state lawmakers in Ohio are taking action to stop this clear abuse of the people.

Will state lawmakers in Maryland end the camera fraud?

As you may be aware Charles, Delegate Warren Miller has filed HB-536 to completely end the camera fraud in Maryland.

We are pleased that 16 other Delegates have joined Delegate Miller in co-sponsoring the bill.

However, there are some Delegates who have not sponsored this legislation that also sit on the Transportation and Environment Committee that will be hearing this bill next week.

Please call the following Delegates to demand that they support HB-536 and end the camera fraud in Maryland by voting HB-536 out of their committee:

Delegate Carl Anderton Jr. (R)
District 38B, Wicomico County
410-841-3431

Carl voted wrong on our bill in committee last year. So he especially needs your call.

Internal Secession and the Road to Ruin: Two Countries

Trump did not cause the deep division in the country. It caused him. There are two very different Americas. I suspect that the half of the country that voted for Trump, that voted with wild enthusiasm, that roared at huge rallies, was not so much voting for Trump as against the other America. It was just that they had never had a chance before. The two countries have little in common and do not belong on the same geography.

Whether Trump proves to be the catastrophic buffoon he apparently aspires to be, the current protests illuminate a stark difference between his supporters and Hillary’s. The chasm is far deeper than just politics, embracing culture, taste, manners and morals. The groups are distinct and incompatible .

The difference begins with manners. Throughout the campaign Trump’s partisans forgathered in huge rallies, applauded, calmly went home, and later voted. At the same time we saw on Clinton’s behalf mobs of ill-bred, worse mannered, loutish, perennial adolescents blocking highways, shutting down rallies, engaging in vandalism and physically attacking supporters of Trump. Cars were destroyed, fires set, ATMs smashed. Black Lives Matter, always ghetto predators, were worst, but low-grade college students and their equally dismal professors joined in. They were obscene, infantile.

And naive: They apparently believe that they harm Trump though of course their behavior drives people in the other direction. I am no fan of Donald , but I look the foregoing and think Anything else.

It’s a girl! Maryland Zoo welcomes a six-foot-tall baby giraffe.

It’s a girl! And she’s rather tall.

The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore said Thursday that a female giraffe calf, standing six feet tall and weighing about 125 pounds, was born at the facility last week. Born Feb. 6 to Juma and Caesar, the calf is the first giraffe to be born at the facility in over 20 years, officials said.

Zookeepers described the calf as doing well. Samantha Sander, an associate veterinarian at the zoo, said the baby giraffe “looks pretty perfect so far.”

“We couldn’t be happier to welcome this beautiful calf to the zoo family,” Don Hutchinson, president and chief executive of the zoo, said in a statement. He said she brings “a lot of excitement” to the giraffe exhibit and makes a “wonderful addition to the herd.”

Kathleen Matthews running for Maryland Democratic Party chair

After losing the 8th District primary, the former Marriott executive says she still wants to try for elected office.

Former news anchor and Marriott executive Kathleen Matthews, who lost to then-state Sen. Jamie Raskin in Maryland’s 8th District Democratic congressional primary, said Wednesday that she is a candidate for state party chair.

Matthews said in an interview that she was approached about the job by senior Maryland Democrats — U.S. Rep. Steny H. Hoyer and Sens. Benjamin L. Cardin and Chris Van Hollen. Chair Bruce Poole said he will step down March 1, when the state party’s executive committee is scheduled to meet.

Registered Democrats outnumber registered Republicans in Maryland more than 2-to-1. But the party has been struggling to recover from the upset victory of Republican Larry Hogan over Democrat Anthony Brown in the 2014 governor’s race, and Hogan’s soaring popularity since then.
