Former President Bill Clinton told a crowd of his wife's supporters he sometimes wishes they weren't married — because then he could say whatever he wants.

"Sometimes when I am on a stage like this, I wish that we weren't married," the former president said in New Hampshire on Monday night, according to the New York Daily News, referring to the tweet of a journalist on the scene.

"Then I could say what I think."

Congress Gives Final OK To Banning Local Internet Taxes

WASHINGTON (AP) — Congress voted Thursday to permanently bar state and local governments from taxing access to the Internet, as lawmakers leapt at an election-year chance to demonstrate their opposition to imposing levies on online service.

On a vote of 75-20, the Senate gave final congressional approval to the wide-ranging bill, which would also revamp trade laws. President Barack Obama is expected to sign it.

“The Internet is a resource used daily by Americans of all ages,” said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., who brokered an agreement with a Democratic leader earlier this week that helped clear the way for passage. “It’s important that they be able to do all of this without the worry of their Internet access being taxed.”

Among the forces fueling Trump’s front-running, anti-establishment candidacy is his not-so-thinly-veiled contempt for political correctness – the sort of whiny, “stay out of my safe space” bitching and moaning that hypocritical politicians like to invoke when it serves their needs.

Trump’s disdain for the PC police was on display again this week in New Hampshire, when one of his rallies was interrupted by a woman who referred to his closest competitor – U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas – as a “pussy.”

“She just said a terrible thing,” Trump said, pretending to be offended.

“Shout it out, because I don’t want to … I never expect to hear that from you again!” he yelled, breaking into a wide grin.

College Student Publicly Threatens to ‘Smash This B***h’s Computer’ Over Trump Sticker — When She Sees His Tweet, Things Get Nasty

A St. John’s University student threatened to smash a fellow student’s laptop because it displayed a Donald Trump campaign sticker — and now the victim apparently fears for her safety.

The student who made the threat — Clifford Durand, 18, according to the New York Daily News — posted a photo of the student and her laptop affixed with a “Trump: Make America Great Again” sticker during what appeared to be a class Wednesday morning.

The post from the now-suspended account read, “7000 retweets and i’ll smash this b***h’s computer.” The Daily News reported the post was retweeted 16,000 times within four hours — although Durand’s friends claimed it was a joke.

Update: Sears closing at least 50 Unprofitable Stores

Retailer plans to improve apparel sales by adjusting prices

Sears doesn't want to waste any time.

The retailer announced on Tuesday that it planned to "accelerate" the closing of at least 50 "unprofitable stores."

Sears, which also owns Kmart, originally planned to close the stores over the next few months, but poor sales have sped up the timeline.

In its earnings report Tuesday, Sears said it expects total revenue to hit $7.3 billion for the fourth quarter -- down from $8.1 billion last year.

On February 8, 2016, a Worcester County Sheriff's Office Deputy stopped a vehicle in the area of Worcester Highway and Kepler Lane, Bishopville, Maryland for speeding. The operator initially identified himself with a false name. The driver’s true identity was Shaquil Juwan Turnage, age 23, of Seaford Delaware who had two active warrants in Delaware. Mr. Turnage was arrested and a search was conducted of his vehicle. Several Items of alleged controlled dangerous substances were found. Mr. Turnage was also charged with the following:

On 02/08/2016 Worcester County Sheriff’s Office Deputies made a traffic stop for speed in the area of Old Virginia Road, near Rt. 13. During the course of the traffic stop it was determined the driver Christopher Lamont Brittingham, 41 of Pocomoke City, Md. was suspected to be under the influence of Alcohol, Mr. Brittingham was and was arrested and charged DUI. He was released pending trial.

On 02/08/2016 Deputies along with the Maryland State Police responded to a report of a domestic assault located on New Quay Road. During the course of the investigation it was determined Wesley Robert Pollitt, 29 of Ocean City had allegedly assaulted his live in girlfriend. Mr. Pollitt was arrest and charged with 2nd degree assault and reckless endangerment.

OC Strikes Deal Aimed At Increasing Concert Bookings At Performing Arts Center

OCEAN CITY — The Performing Arts Center could see an expansion of the number and quality of concerts over the next two years after town officials this week approved a cost-sharing contract with a popular special events promoter in the resort.

The Mayor and Council on Tuesday agreed to enter a Memorandum of Understanding with Special Event Productions-TEAM Productions and Bob Rothermel to pool resources on drawing more concerts to the Performing Arts Center (PAC) in the Roland E. Powell Convention Center. Under the terms of the MOU approved on Tuesday, the Town of Ocean City will provide $40,000 in each of the next two years to bring two concerts to the PAC in fiscal year 2016 and four in fiscal year 2017.

Through the contract, Rothermel and TEAM Productions will supply the talent-buying and event management services and Ocean City will provide the funding to bring as many as six significant concert events to the PAC by the end of fiscal year 2017, including two as soon as the end of this June. In simplest terms, the MOU hopes to take advantage of Rothermel’s expertise on drawing major acts to the PAC in a partnership that allows both parties to share in the profits of the events.

Weather Alert! We are going to see a sharp decline in temps tomorrow with snow in the forecast. Tomorrow is expected only to hit 30 degrees and lows in the 20's. Our last weather briefing indicates potential snowfall starting tomorrow evening with less than 1inch predicted in our immediate area. However, the roadways may become hazardous during the snowfall. Please plan accordingly tomorrow evening. We will see some of our coldest temps Saturday and Saturday night. Our Animal Control Folks remind you to check on your outside pets and make sure they have adequate shelter and water. Target Launches Gender Neutral Kid Collection

Target is launching a new gender-neutral home collection for kids called Pillowfort, a move it says is based on customer feedback, according to a press release.

The line features bold designs and colors with a look that mimics the handmade quality shoppers see while browsing Etsy or Pinterest. It features bedding, furniture, wall decor and other home goods that can be mixed and matched.

Target said in a press release that items in the collection will fall under 12 themes, including “Tropical Treehouse,” “Stellar Station” and “Ocean Oasis.”

Halfway around the world, Virginia Beach WWII vet reunites with long-lost sweetheart

ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA

Together again, at last.

It was a hot, dry morning on the southern coast of Australia when Norwood Thomas and his son, Steve, reached their destination halfway around the world.

After 70 years – and four flights, including one 16-hour marathon over the Pacific – the 93-year-old Army veteran from Virginia Beach was about to see his long-lost World War II sweetheart.

He and his son finished the final leg at 10:40 a.m. Wednesday, Adelaide time – 15½ hours ahead of the clocks back home.

Weary but grinning, they climbed into a waiting vehicle and drove to a beachfront hotel, where 88-year-old Joyce Durrant Morris was waiting.

Maryland State Police Remind Motorists to Use Caution As Arctic Temperatures Move In

(PIKESVILLE, MD)— Troopers are urging drivers to use caution and to think twice before heading out during this expected blast of cold weather across the state.

Colonel William M. Pallozzi, Superintendent of the Maryland State Police, has ordered all troopers to be on high alert for disabled vehicles with the anticipated extremely low temperatures. Troopers, along with the State Highway Administration’s Coordinated Highway Action Response Team, (CHART), will combine their efforts to assist disabled motorists as quickly as possible.

With cold weather advisories across the state and weather forecasters predicting bone chilling temperatures, state troopers are reminding motorists to make sure their vehicles are prepared and properly equipped. Keeping a survival bag in their car is encouraged. The survival bag should include a blanket, a flashlight (with batteries) or flares, jumper cables, an extra bottle of antifreeze and windshield washer fluid.

The cold weather can take its toll on a vehicle, so check the following before traveling:

• Check the tire pressure and tread
• Check the battery
• Check the car’s fluid levels
• Make sure you have a good spare tire
• Keep jumper cables handy

Drivers are reminded their cell phones can be used to call 9-1-1 in emergencies or #77. Additional personnel have been reassigned to assist with road patrol duties to supplement regular patrol forces across the state.

More Drivers Falling Behind on their Car Payments

More people are falling at least two months behind in making payments on their auto loan, a new report showed Tuesday.

As more borrowers have qualified for loans amid higher national employment rates, and with new-car sales booming as a result, the total amount of auto loan debt climbed to $987 million in the fourth quarter, up 11.5% from the same quarter in the previous year, reports Experian Automotive. The credit-reporting service says that the total is the highest since it began keeping track in 2006.

Along with the rising auto loan tallies has come growth in serious delinquencies. The percentage of people who are at least 60 days behind on their payments rose to 0.77%, up from 0.72% in the same period in 2014. Experian says it's still short of a record. Sixty-day delinquencies reached 0.94% in 2009.

And the rate of those who are 30 days behind on payments fell in last year's fourth quarter to 2.57%, down from 2.62%

Hey Albero, The Weather Reports Are Going To Get Better

Tonight, Dan spent a good bit of time explaining how the new weather system they plan on using down the road will be "revolutionary". 

While much of what he said will change are basically graphics, I'm confident WBOC will continue to claim we live in a very unique area where weather is unpredictable. Time will tell. That is, when and if that new system ever comes about.

Clearly their tails are between their legs right now because quite frankly, they've been screwing up for far too many years. Now that they are being called out and now that they know they have a competitor who is going to call them out, something has to be done because I have not been wrong. They also know that when a Blogger can do a better job calling out the serious weather threats, their viewers are losing TRUST and who can blame them.

They also started the show tonight saying. "Dan said it was going to be like this," cold. OMG, you guys can't be serious, right? You said yesterday and the day before that no snow would stick to the roads and look what happened, (below). Yeah, it's cold outside, thanks Dan.

Son Of Deceased Suspect In Shooting Of The Two Harford County Deputies Speaks Out

Two Harford County Sheriff's deputies have succumbed to their injuries after shootings at an Abingdon Panera Bread, officials said.

The deputies, one a 30-year veteran and the other a 16-year veteran, were killed in a standoff and pursuit that began at 11:46 a.m., when deputies were called to the Panera Bread in the 3400 block of Merchant Boulevard. One deputy was shot when confronting the suspect in the rear of the restaurant, and the other was shot during the pursuit. At least two--not the deputies who were killed--opened fire on the shooter.

The alleged gunman, who was killed in a pursuit, was identified as David Brian Evans, a 67-year-old white male. Evans had an outstanding warrant in Florida, and a civil court warrant in Harford County.

Jeremy Evans, David Evans estranged son, spoke with WBAL-TV’s lead I-Team reporter Jayne Miller. Jeremy Evans told Miller that his father shot his mother in a domestic incident 20 years ago.

Surround Israel With Barrier ‘To Defend Ourselves Against Wild Beasts’

TEL AVIV – In sentiments that seem to echo one of the main policy aims of Donald Trump, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday he is working to surround the entire country with fences and barriers “to defend ourselves against wild beasts” that surround the Jewish state.

Netanyahu made the comments during a tour of a barrier being erected on the country’s eastern border with Jordan.

“We are preparing a multi-year project to encircle Israel with a security fence, to defend ourselves in the Middle East as it is now, and as it is expected to be,” Netanyahu stated.

“At the end, in the State of Israel, as I see it, there will be a fence that spans it all,” said Netanyahu. “I’ll be told, ‘This is what you want, to protect the villa?’ The answer is yes.

Will we surround all of the State of Israel with fences and barriers? The answer is yes. In the area that we live in, we must defend ourselves against the wild beasts.”

He said the plan would take several years to complete and that besides the fence around the country his government will also work to close the breaches in the security barrier that straddles the West Bank.

“This thing costs many billions, and we’re working on a multi-year plan of prioritization so it would be spread out over years in order to gradually build it, but to complete it to defend the State of Israel,” Netanyahu added.

Supreme Court Puts Obama's Power Plant Regs On Hold

A divided Supreme Court on Tuesday abruptly halted President Obama's controversial new power plant regulations, dealing a blow to the administration's sweeping plan to address global warming.

In a 5-4 decision, the court halted enforcement of the plan until after legal challenges are resolved.

The surprising move is a victory for the coalition of 27 mostly Republican-led states and industry opponents that call the regulations "an unprecedented power grab."

By temporarily freezing the rule the high court's order signals that opponents have made a strong argument against the plan. A federal appeals court last month refused to put it on hold.

The court's four liberal justices said they would have denied the request.
