CARSON: Political correctness and the slavery of Obamacare

Speech taboos are meant to silence patriotic dissent

When I was in high school in Detroit, there was a great deal of emphasis on clothing.

As I became increasingly interested in fitting in with the “in crowd,” fashion supplanted academic achievement in my hierarchy of importance. My grades plummeted and I became a person who was less pleasant and more self-absorbed.

My mother was very disappointed, because she thought I had enough insight and intelligence to avoid the flypaper trap of acting like everyone else.

Fortunately, after wasting a year pursuing acceptance, I realized that my dreams went far beyond silk shirts and sharkskin pants. I decided to forsake the “in crowd” and redoubled my academic efforts in time to rescue my sinking grade-point average and gain admission to an Ivy League university.

Border Security - do not shy away from this video please.
Powerful Video produced by the NRA (National Rifle Association), you need to be aware of this as a citizen of the U.S.A.
Sheriff Larry Dever, (white cowboy hat and blue/white checkered shirt) is the long time sheriff of Cochise County . Cochise County is huge and borders Sonora, Mexico . The bald-headed guy is the Sheriff of Pinal County . North of Tucson , AZ.

This video doesn't say so, but Hwy 8, going from I-10 north of Tucson, thru Gila Bed and on to CA has a sign warning drivers not to stop or pick up hitchhikers because so many are illegals. They can be Mexican or any other foreign country.

EPA arms Democrats with data, snubs Republicans

Little trace of FOIA requests from Republicans

With midterm elections not far off, Democratic opposition researchers are armed with thousands of pages of records obtained from the Environmental Protection Agency through the Freedom of Information Act, far outpacing known Republican efforts to pry information loose from the agency, records show.

Democrats have filed more than 50 FOIA requests, including lots seeking correspondence between Republicans and EPA officials — letters that operatives will scour for any hint that politicians’ rhetoric doesn’t square with how they conduct themselves outside of public view. Their findings help supply a steady flow of material for damaging news stories and campaign ads.

Why Good Managers Are So Rare

Gallup has found that one of the most important decisions companies make is simply whom they name manager. Yet our analysis suggests that they usually get it wrong. In fact, Gallup finds that companies fail to choose the candidate with the right talent for the job 82% of the time.

Bad managers cost businesses billions of dollars each year, and having too many of them can bring down a company. The only defense against this massive problem is a good offense, because when companies get these decisions wrong, nothing fixes it. Businesses that get it right, however, and hire managers based on talent will thrive and gain a significant competitive advantage.

Allen West On Republican Vs Democrat

On March 20, 1854 the Republican Party was established in Ripon, Wisconsin. Referred to as the GOP or Grand Old Party, it established for one reason: to break the chains of slavery and ensure the unalienable rights endowed by the Creator of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness would be for all Americans.

The Republican Party was created to achieve individual freedom. Then, as now, the antagonist to the Republican party has been the Democrats, the party of collective subjugation and individual enslavement — then physical, now economic.

The first black members of the US House and Senate were Republicans. The first civil rights legislation came from Republicans. Democrats gave us the KKK, Jim Crow, lynchings, poll taxes, literacy tests, and failed policies like the “Great Society.”

STUDY: NJ'S BUDGET CRISIS FUELED BY EXODUS OF WEALTHY RESIDENTS FLEEING TAXES

A white paper from investment advisory corporationRegentAtlantic finds that New Jersey is losing high percentages of its revenue to wealthy residents moving out to states like Pennsylvania and Florida in the hopes of escaping the highest taxes in the nation.

New Jersey reached record levels of debt last year and Moody's lowered its outlook for the state, citing insufficient revenue to maintain the burdensome state infrastructure that boasts an unwieldy number of public pensions and municipal governments. Moody's chided Chris Christie's administration for its "sluggish" recovery from the late-2000s recession and blamed the state's insufficient revenue for the problem. As a result, Democrats in the state are pushing for higher taxes on the wealthy to generate more revenue.

RegentAtlantic finds in their recently-released white paper that much of the reason for the low revenue intake is that the state's tax burden is disproportionately upon the shoulders of the wealthy, a high percentage of which are simply moving out and taking their money with them.

STUDY: 38% OF MINIMUM-WAGE EMPLOYERS WILL FIRE WORKERS IF MINIMUM WAGE REACHES $10.10

A new survey reports that if Congress raises the current minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10, there will be catastrophic effects. Among private employers paying the minimum wage, 38% will fire workers, 54% will reduce the number of employees they hire, and 65% will raise the prices on the goods and services they provide.

The survey, conducted by Express Employment Professionals, also revealed that among employers including those who pay minimum wage and those who pay more, if the minimum wage is raised, 19% would fire workers, 39% would cut their hiring, and 51% would raise their prices.

The Congressional Budget Office said last month that even raising the country’s minimum wage gradually to $10.10 by 2016 would see employment numbers plummet by 500,000 workers by the second half of 2016. Other estimates say that there is a 70% chance that the number of 500,000 could zoom close to one million.

GOVERNOR O’MALLEY ISSUES STATEMENT ON COMMISSIONER SPEAKES-BACKMAN ELECTION

ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor O’Malley issued the following statement in response to the announcement that Maryland Public Service Commissioner Kelly Speakes-Backman will serve as the Chairman of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, Inc.'s Board of Directors:

“I congratulate Commissioner Speakes-Backman on her election as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative Inc. (RGGI). I am delighted to have someone with her breadth of knowledge and experience in energy, sustainability, renewable energy and environmental business strategies take up the helm at such a crucial time in RGGI’s development.

“Here in Maryland we've set one of the most aggressive goals in the country, committing to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions 25% by 2020. We've made some progress, but there is still more work to do. Almost half of those reductions must come from the energy sector, and the market-based RGGI structure is critical to realizing our goal of creating a better, more sustainable future for our State.”

This Is The Most Perfect Response To Labor Protesters

You know when youʼre driving along and see those “Labor Dispute” banners to bring shame upon the business? Literally, the banners read “Labor Dispute. Shame on <company name>.”

I usually just roll my eyes and feel sorry for the business owners. However, a Kansas Subaru dealership dealt with this in the most ingenious way possible.

The signs left by United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 201, read “Shame on Subaru of Wichita.” The dealership added a second banner reading “For having unbeatable prices.”
