Unbelievable video captured by a New York business owner’s surveillance cameras appear to show an undercover police informant (not a police officer) planting and photographing crack cocaine, which ultimately led to the man’s arrest.
Scotia and Schenectady County Police reportedly became suspicious of Donald Andrews, Jr., who owns a smoke shop on Mohawk Avenue in Scotia, N.Y., and decided to send the undercover informant to gather some information. He was sent to Andrews’ place of business twice, according to WNYT-TV.
It was during the informant’s second trip to the smoke shop that he was caught on camera planting and photographing what appears to be cocaine.

Feds Tell Web Firms To Turn Over User Account Passwords
Secret demands mark escalation in Internet surveillance by the federal government through gaining access to user passwords, which are typically stored in encrypted form.
The U.S. government has demanded that major Internet companies divulge users' stored passwords, according to two industry sources familiar with these orders, which represent an escalation in surveillance techniques that has not previously been disclosed.
If the government is able to determine a person's password, which is typically stored in encrypted form, the credential could be used to log in to an account to peruse confidential correspondence or even impersonate the user. Obtaining it also would aid in deciphering encrypted devices in situations where passwords are reused.
"I've certainly seen them ask for passwords," said one Internet industry source who spoke on condition of anonymity. "We push back."
A second person who has worked at a large Silicon Valley company confirmed that it received legal requests from the federal government for stored passwords. Companies "really heavily scrutinize" these requests, the person said. "There's a lot of 'over my dead body.'"
Some of the government orders demand not only a user's password but also the encryption algorithm and the so-called salt, according to a person familiar with the requests. A salt is a random string of letters or numbers used to make it more difficult to reverse the encryption process and determine the original password. Other orders demand the secret question codes often associated with user accounts.

CAMPAIGN PUTS 'GAY RIGHTS' BEHIND CONSTITUTION
The cases are well known: The Colorado baker in trouble because he declined to violate his faith and promote same-sex “marriage” with his work, the Washington florist who made the same decision and the New Mexico photographer who was fined by the state for turning down a request to promote lesbianism with her services.
More and more people who adhere to the biblical definition of marriage are finding themselves in that no-win situation of being forced by “nondiscrimination” laws to endorse and support “alternative lifestyles.”
An attorney whose work on constitutional issues is well known says such conflicts shouldn’t happen. Matt Barber, vice president for Liberty Counsel Action, told WND that the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution is supreme, and local ordinances that demand people violate its precepts must fall.

BILL O’REILLY DELIVERS ANOTHER FIERY, RACE-THEMED ‘TALKING POINTS’ SEGMENT (AL SHARPTON IS NOT GOING TO BE HAPPY)
Fresh off his Monday “Talking Points Memo” that sparked a heated debate about race and the problems harming the black community, Bill O’Reilly teed off again Thursday, slamming the “civil rights industry” for not addressing the core reasons why many blacks are not succeeding in the “market place.” Due to that fact, young blacks continue to be “at risk” and are faced with “enormous obstacles to overcome.”
However, O’Reilly started his “Talking Points Memo” with a scathing critique of rapper Lil Wayne and one of his “piece of garbage” songs in which he brags that he beats “that p***y up like Emmett Till.” Till was savagely murdered in Mississippi at the age of 14 for flirting with a white girl in 1955.
The Till family was outraged by the disgusting lyrics – and rightfully so. Mountain Dew was also unhappy about the offensive song and pulled a multimillion dollar endorsement deal with the rapper.

Archaeologists Uncover English Ship Remains in Md.
ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. (AP) -- Archaeologists working with Maryland's Historic St. Mary's City museum believe they have discovered the remains of an English ship 10 feet below the St. Mary's River.
The museum announced Thursday that archaeologist Scott Tucker and a crew of volunteer divers found the remains this summer. They discovered a heavy load of rounded cobble stones in an oval-shaped area more than 50 feet long.
Tucker says the stones are unique and not typical of Maryland. They would have been used as ballast to provide weight and stability to the ship. Tucker says the stones may have come from the North Devon coast of England.

Feds Ready $684M ObamaCare Marketing Campaign
It will make you stronger. It will give you peace of mind and make you feel like a winner. Health insurance is what the whole country has been talking about, so don't be left out.
Sound like a sales pitch? Get ready for a lot more. As President Barack Obama's health care law moves from theory to reality in the coming months, its success may hinge on whether the best minds in advertising can reach one of the hardest-to-find parts of the population: people without health coverage.
The campaign won't come cheap: The total amount to be spent nationally on publicity, marketing and advertising will be at least $684 million, according to data compiled The Associated Press from federal and state sources.
About 16 percent of Americans are uninsured, but despite years of political debate and media attention, more than three-quarters of them still know little about the law known as "Obamacare," according to recent surveys.

Bill Would End Tax Break For Firms Selling Junk Food To Kids
Legislation introduced Thursday in the House would prohibit companies that market unhealthy food to children to claim certain tax deductions.
The bill, penned by Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.), wouldn’t bar food manufacturers from marketing their products to anyone they choose.
But companies who sell food out of line with federal dietary guidelines would be unable to write off expenses stemming from advertising campaigns directed at children, including TV and radio spots, celebrity endorsements and a range of promotions.

The Murder Of JFK
The two most important words in the lives of the American people for the past 60 years have been “national security.” The term has transformed American society for the worse. It has warped the morals and values of the American people. It has stultified conscience. It has altered the constitutional order. It has produced a democratically elected government that wields totalitarian powers.
We now live in a country whose government wields the legal authority to round up people, including citizens, and take them to concentration camps, detention centers, or military dungeons where the government can torture them, incarcerate them indefinitely, and even execute them as suspected terrorists.
We now live in a country whose government wields the legal authority to send its military and intelligence forces into any country anywhere in the world, kidnap people residing there, and transport them to a prison for the purpose of torture, indefinite detention, and even execution. We now live in a country whose government wields the legal authority to sneak and peek into people’s homes or businesses without warrants; to monitor their emails, telephone calls, and financial transactions; and to spy on the citizenry.
We now live in a country whose government wields the legal authority to support, with money and armaments, totalitarian regimes all over the world and to enter into partnerships with them for the purpose of torturing people whom the U.S. government has kidnapped.

How Obamacare Already Hurts Small Business And Holds Back The Economy: One Diner Owner's Testimony
So, small business owners, how's Obamacare treating you? The Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee heard from five business owners at a hearing on Wednesday. Their verdict was mixed -- three said the law is making insurance more affordable while two said the law is creating major problems. The most compelling testimony came from an owner of six diners, who flew from New Orleans to Washington, D.C., to tell senators that the law not only is keeping him from expanding, but it also may force him to close one or two locations.
Witness: Larry Katz, owner of Dots Diner, a Metairie, La.-based chain of six diners founded in 1996.
How he came to testify: He's known Sen. David Vitter, R-La., for years, and had complained to the senator about the negative impact of the Affordable Care Act's employer mandate. So Vitter invited him to testify at this hearing.

Unemployment Aid Applications Rise 7K To 343K
WASHINGTON — The number of Americans applying for unemployment benefits rose by 7,000 last week to a seasonally adjusted 343,000.
The increase in the week ending July 20 follows a drop of 22,000 the previous week. But the broader trend is consistent with an improving job market.
The four-week average, which smooths out weekly fluctuations, fell 1,250 to 345,250, according to the Labor Department.
“Claims continue to signal no let-up in employment growth,” Jim O’Sullivan, chief U.S. economist at High Frequency Economics, wrote in a research note.

'SCANDAL GREATER THAN BENGHAZI': Congress To Probe Crash That Killed SEAL Team 6 Members...
(THE HILL) -- Congress has launched an investigation of the helicopter crash that killed 30 Americans in Afghanistan, including members of the Navy’s elite SEAL Team 6 unit, The Hill has learned.
The victims’ families say the Pentagon hasn’t provided answers to their many questions about the deadly attack, which took place on Aug. 6, 2011, three months after Osama bin Laden was killed in Pakistan by Team 6 forces.
Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee on National Security, told The Hill, “We’re going to dive into this.”
Chaffetz said he met with the victims’ families about a month ago in what he described as an “emotional” gathering. He is poised to send questions to the Pentagon and may hold hearings on the matter.
Charlie Strange, whose son Michael was among those killed, said he asked President Obama two years ago at Dover Air Force Base to fully investigate. The death toll in the crash was the largest of any single incident for the U.S. military during the Afghanistan war.
Obama praised Michael’s service to Strange, who responded, “I don’t need to know about my son. I need to know what happened to my son.”

Starting High School Later May Help Sleepy Teens
Quinn Cooney of Mill Creek, Wash., is excited about starting high school in September, but she's not looking forward to waking up at 5:30 a.m. to arrive on time. Classes for ninth-graders start at 7:30 a.m., 45 minutes earlier than they did in middle school.
"I think it is going to be harder to get up," said Quinn, 13. "I do think it is better to start early so that we can be finished early and do things after school, but I am worried that if I have a boring class for my first period that it will be hard to stay awake."
Decades of sleep research have confirmed what parents know: It's hard for teenagers to wake up early. Some high schools have adopted late starts around 8:30 a.m. to improve attendance and performance. But other districts say it's too complicated to shift schedules because of logistics involving buses and after-school activities.
