Before I get started on my comment let give some disclosure here.
I'm a Republican I don't care for the extreme right nor the extreme left.I am a retired Trooper.I'm a Life Member of the NRA.I'm a gun owner.I can recall in the 70's the Maryland State Police hierarcy informed us we could not identify ourselves as NRA members while we were working,nor could we sign certain petitions.
Recently I had an occassion to speak with a couple of young Troopers (young to me anyway)they both were in favor of concealed carry provided of course the permit holder had been trained or could demonstrate their knowledge and use of their chosen weapon.Their reason? because someday that citizen may have the opportunity to save my life ie: the Trooper.
The hot issue now obviously is the Sandy Hook Slaughter as it should,I've seen alot but nothing as horrific as that senseless slaughter.My opinion only, the murderer was demented,evil walks this earth and was walking the halls of that elementary school that day,no power on earth could stop him that morning given the the fact there was no security.(Since I'm into this and have deviated a bit from my point bear with me)It's all supposition now but what do you think would have happened to that scum had he surrendered? I think if arrested and convicted he'd have never been executed,or one of the police officers would have cut him down whether he had that AR in his hands or not.My prefered option.
I am a proponent of Gun Control,Common Sense EFFECTIVE gun control that does not effect the normal man or woman who enjoys collecting,hunting,shooting.It goes without saying that AR Platforms, AK-47's were built and designed for War they are wicked looking ominus weapons that some people just get the willeys looking at but aside from that they are fun to shoot.An M1 Carbine had 30 round clips that could have done just as much damage just as fast as that AR.The two pistols this animal carried could fire 32 rounds (15 in the mag 1 in the tube)an done just as much damage.
The NRA is a powerful gun lobby and organization I agree with most of their policy's I've never heard of anyone trained by the NRA that went on a killing rampage,yet there are certain things I don't necessarily agree with either.But the people in Washington,the wide majority do not know a Model 29 Smith an Wesson from a slingshot.They are reactionary and pass legislation because it makes them look good with no thought or study or understanding on what they are legislating against, an who suffers from these fools? we do Mr.an Mrs Honest Law Abiding citizen.Who do they think they are protecting? The ones committing these horrific crimes will do so whether they have an AK 47 or a Lever Action 30-30.The old 30-30 is slower to load holds 7 but kills just as dead.
Look..everyone is not going to agree with me and thats ok,but join the NRA their core policy is protecting our rights under the 2nd Amendment I can only add one more thing think about our Government and Fast an Furious and the Marine sitting in a Mexican Jail ( I hear to be released today)the people need to get busy and get our government back on track an work for us not the other way around.The power of the vote can be as powerful as an AR 15.

Adam Lanza Taking Antipsychotics
By now the whole country is fully embroiled in the Gun Control debate, spurred by the grisly murder of 27 people, mostly kids, at the Sandy Hook Elementary school last Friday.
Guns might not be the only problem though.
New York Magazine wrote a piece about shooter Adam Lanza's supposed "aspergers" syndrome as a "red herring" meant to distract from the real problem (guns, of course, the subject goes without mentioning).
Inside the piece though they report Adam Lanza's uncle said the boy was prescribed Fanapt, a controversial anti-psychotic medicine.

Massive Power Outage In Anne Arundel Co. Leaves Many Confused
A power outage in Anne Arundel County, including the Annapolis Mall, caused confusion Thursday night and left more than 70,000 people in the dark at the height of the outage.
The blackout started around 9 p.m., with outages dropping to 31,000 by midnight.
Baltimore Gas and Electric spokesman Rob Gould tells WTOP that "two main feeders into Annapolis" and a high voltage transmission line may have gone down.
The outage is centered around the General's Highway area in Annapolis and Gould said crews believe they've identified the exact place the transmission line may have gone down.

As each state reports their final election details, the evidence of voter fraud is astounding. Massive voter fraud is being reported in areas of OH and FL, with PA, WI and VA all deploying personnel to investigate election results.
For starters, here are just a few examples of what has surfaced with much more to come.
· In 59 voting districts in the Philadelphia region, Obama received 100% of the votes with not even a single vote recorded for Romney. (a mathematical and statistical impossibility – see below)
· In 21 districts in Wood County Ohio, Obama received 100% of the votes where GOP inspectors were illegally removed from their polling locations - and not one single vote was recorded for Romney. (a statistical impossibility – see below)
· In Wood County Ohio, 106,258 voters were registered to vote in a county with only 98,213 eligible voters.
· In St. Lucie County, FL, there were 175,574 registered eligible voters but 247,713 votes cast.
· The National SEAL Museum, a polling location in St. Lucie County, FL had a 158% voter turnout – the highest voter overage in theentire country – second was Palm Beach County, FL with a 141% voter turnout overage.
· In Ohio County, Obama won by 108% of the total number of eligible voters.

Md. Delegate Charged In Boat Collision
A Maryland state delegate is facing charges that he operated a powerboat while drunk over the summer.
Maryland Natural Resource police on Thursday announced multiple charges against Don Dwyer, a Republican state delegate from Anne Arundel County. Dwyer has admitted that he was under the influence of alcohol when his boat collided with another vessel on the Magothy River in August.
Several people were injured, including a young girl.
"Our investigation showed that with the toxicology report that came back from the Maryland State Police crime lab, that his blood alcohol content was .24," Sgt. Brian Albert, with the Maryland Natural Resources Police, tells WTOP.

Md. Chicken Farmer Prevails In Pollution Lawsuit
A federal judge in Baltimore has ruled in favor of a chicken farmer in a pollution lawsuit that had broad implications for the state's poultry industry.
U.S. District Judge William Nickerson sided Thursday with Alan Hudson, who raises chickens for poultry giant Perdue.
He said a New York-based environmental group that sued Hudson failed to prove that Hudson's chicken-raising operation on his farm in Berlin polluted a nearby river.

Well worth the read - COLUMBINE STUDENT'S FATHER 12 YEARS LATER !! Guess our national leaders didn't expect this. On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.
They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness.. The following is a portion of the transcript:
"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good &evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.
"The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.
"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent
I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.
Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You've stripped away our heritage,
You've outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question "Why?"
You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!
"Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact.
What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws.
Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.
"As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him.
To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge.. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!

‘VIOLATED’: WOMEN SUBJECTED TO ‘ROADSIDE BODY CAVITY SEARCH’ DURING ROUTINE TRAFFIC STOP (AND DASH CAM CAUGHT IT ALL)
The case is currently under investigation by the public integrity division of the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office and will go before a grand jury in January.
The dash-mounted camera on a trooper’s vehicle reportedly captured the entire incident on video. Angel Dobbs, 38, and her niece Ashley Dobbs, 24, say the unlawful search happened on the night of July 13 along a state highway.

The only reference to Syria during the session was to the “occupied Syrian Golan” – the strategic ridge captured by Israel during the 1967 Six Day War and formally annexed in 1981.
The passage of the nine Israel-focused resolutions came less than three weeks after the General Assembly (UNGA) passed six other resolutions critical of Israel, under its agenda items “the question of Palestine” and “the situation in the Middle East.”
