I'm Curious,

One of the reasons I purchase the Daily Times is because I enjoy looking through the pictures in the Real Estate Section of Saturday's Newspaper.

However, today that section didn't arrive. Am I the only one, or did some of you not get it as well?

There are NINE Public Works Employees draining ONE sewer line on Friday afternoon. What was that word Louise Smith kept using the other day, ACCOUNTABILITY?

The pictures doesn't lie Folks and there's not much more that needs to be said here. It is what it is and it says what it says. I just happen to be this guy driving down the road with a camera and I shot this picture out the back window of my vehicle.

It's time for a change in Salisbury, all the way up to the Mayor's Office.

Another Local Business Bites The Dust

Delmarva Paintball has been forced to shut down and their inventory has been seized by Lewis Properties C/O Joann Medford and the Sheriff's Department.

If you thought you had troubles in the past in Salisbury, expect things to get even worse. This was at least an outlet for young kids to go and enjoy, besides the Crown Center in Fruitland.

If I only had the property in Salisbury, I'd open an Indoor Arena for kids. A Skate Park, Indoor Paintball, Roller Rink, Entertainment and a Food Court. The rest is available elsewhere.

I know, how about I go ask the City Council for a $14,000,000.00 TIF and it will guarantee this business just can't fail?

Nevertheless, thanks for stepping in and helping this business survive Salisbury. In the mean time, I'm sure you enjoyed their tax dollars while it lasted.

One parent told me, their child and friends had a credit of paintballs in their account. That's a chunk of their allowance money down the drain.

Between Jimmy's Grille and the alleyway behind Charles Jannace's Office, they sure are slobs! It's not only illegal to have trash lying on the ground outside your trash can or dumpster, it's illegal not to have the lid closed on either one as well. These photos were taken last night.

How is it you send letters to the property owners in Salisbury "forcing" us to remove graffiti within 14 days but when it comes to what you're responsible for, it simply doesn't get done at all?

I have shown photos of graffiti that has been left up for years & many months and nothing is getting done. I say, from here on out, don't remove anything. Simply use the archives from this Blog Site to go to Court and show the Judge that the City MUST practice what it preaches and not do the old do as I say, not as I do pattern Barrie has used throughout her time as Mayor.

Are These Signs Campaign Signs?

NO! Not at all! They're rental advertisement signs illegally placed near the road advertising for college students as they start coming back to the area. It must be a group of FOB's because they do it all the time and nothing has stopped them yet. Then again, Tom Stevenson wasn't in the position to do anything in the past but he sure is responsible to do something about it now.

Let's see if it's slap on the wrist time or if the City will actually fine them flat out for breaking the law? We all know they know better.

It's No Wonder There's So Much Criminal Activity Downtown

Last night was a rude awakening when I saw so many lights out Downtown. The last photo shows the complete block of lights out from the Library all the way to Market Street Inn! There are even more burned out lights but it shouldn't take citizens finding these lamps. Someone working for the City is responsible for this and once again they're just NOT doing their job!

I posted something a few weeks ago about West Church Street having out several lights and they did in fact get repaired right away. However, NOT by the City as it was not their lamps. Let's see how long it takes the City to do their share of the replacements?

What am I costing the City now Mr. Jacobs? Oh yeah, by the way, I'm still Downtown both day and night each and every day. Just ask Chief Webster and or any Officer working evening shifts. They see me all the time. Good to see you last night PB!

The first picture is from last night on the Plaza. This morning the City decided to enlarge the trash cans and place brand news ones on the East end of the Plaza. The next group of cans about mid way down are the metal 55 gallon drums and then a couple of old units like the first picture. What also gets me is, there's nothing at all 1/3 of the way up the Plaza from the West end going East? They could have taken at least two of the old ones and placed them near the Taylor's property.

I don't get it? The old ones looked just fine, even in the first picture. Still green from fresh wood and not at all in bad shape. Honestly, why government people do what they do is completely beyond me? Was this Gary Comegys and Mike Dunn's answer to the actual problem? Dee, Dee, Deeee!

This Is One Reason Why The Salisbury Police Didn't Get Their Proper Pay Increase

Doesn't it look beautiful? I have spoken to numerous people who were in the Council Meetings where John Jacobs & Jim Rapp made it clearly sound like most of the River would have these logs along the banks and now that it's almost complete it's very clear that's not the case. Also, once the logs are in place they then place rip rap above and below them anyway. I guess it's their way of selling the rip rap job for the whole project.

Nevertheless, every Police Officer should pull a Jim Rapp and urinate on it every chance they get.

You've got to love it, a trash can in a trash can! Last night I was walking the Downtown Plaza with a friend and we watched someone walk out of their apartment building with a bag of trash and dumped their trash in one of the cans on the Plaza, as if that's what they're supposed to do.

Let's see if this is on the agenda for the next Council Meeting as Mike Dunn brought it up after seeing photos like these, yet he doesn't read the Blogs.

Are You A Salisbury Police Officer Who's Tired Of Taking Any More Shit From This Man?

Allow "ME" to introduce you to a far better life. Not only will you be blown away with the following information but this should blow the shit out of any more excuses as to why you should have had raises years ago!

There's a Town in Florida who recently voted to swallow a huge tax increase in order to provide their own Police Force. The Town is called Miami Gardens. Although the City of Salisbury is already screwing most of the taxpayers, I doubt these local Officers are going to see anything like this around here any time soon.

What if I were to tell you, IF you were to join this Police Force, (even without experience) they'll pay you a starting salary of $45,100.00?

WAIT, there's more! They'll also pay you a sign on bonus of $12,000.00!

NOPE, I'm not at all done.

How about a $7,000.00 moving allowance?

WAIT, I'm not through!

They'll even give you $5,000.00 for a down payment for a home if you choose to live within the City/Town!

I'm NOT done! They'll give you a $2,000.00 a year pay increase each year.

Wait a minute, I see they'll even pay you one weeks paid vacation the first year you're there!

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better........ They're willing to pay 100% for your college education. When you graduate they'll pay you an additional 8% increase for an associates degree and a 16% increase for a bachelors degree!!!!!

You'll be included in the Florida Retirement System and wait a minute, they're even throwing in a TAKE HOME CAR!

Oh No, could there be MORE? How about this. They'll pay you ANY leave you have left from your previous job and they'll work you four 10 hour days and you're off the next three days.

NOW, If you're a Police Officer 2 with some experience your salary would start at $48,000.00 a year! Any Sergeant will start at $52,000.00 a year! If you have experience they'll pay you a starting salary of $63,000.00 a year!!!

A Captain with 6 years experience will start at $94,000.00 a year!

Follow me one more time around the City of Salisbury again Chief, (like you did yesterday, honking your horn, waving and laughing at me) and I'll post even more opportunities for your people to look into. If you abuse me in any way I'll find ways legally to make your live a living hell. LEAVE ME ALONE!

As for Barrie Tilghman, Gary Comegys, Mike Dunn & Lynn Cathcart, SHAME ON YOU! Look at all the money you threw away on rip rap along the river, (that didn't need it) instead of taking care of the Police! It's time for some changes in Salisbury Folks and the Police Officers not only deserve FAR better pay, they also deserve to apply for jobs like this because it's a far better future than what they're dealing with right now. Their own Boss doesn't even ask for the proper salaries for his own Staff because the Mayor already told him they weren't getting it, period.

I cannot state this as a fact but I have been told that when someone asked Lynn Cathcart why the Police Officers weren't getting better pay she replied, "You can't get something you don't ask for." They then asked, are you telling me Chief Webster never asked for the proper pay increase? She supposedly replied, "You can't get something you don't ask for."

UPDATE, There are 150 positions available right away.
