Are You A Salisbury Police Officer Who's Tired Of Taking Any More Shit From This Man?

Allow "ME" to introduce you to a far better life. Not only will you be blown away with the following information but this should blow the shit out of any more excuses as to why you should have had raises years ago!

There's a Town in Florida who recently voted to swallow a huge tax increase in order to provide their own Police Force. The Town is called Miami Gardens. Although the City of Salisbury is already screwing most of the taxpayers, I doubt these local Officers are going to see anything like this around here any time soon.

What if I were to tell you, IF you were to join this Police Force, (even without experience) they'll pay you a starting salary of $45,100.00?

WAIT, there's more! They'll also pay you a sign on bonus of $12,000.00!

NOPE, I'm not at all done.

How about a $7,000.00 moving allowance?

WAIT, I'm not through!

They'll even give you $5,000.00 for a down payment for a home if you choose to live within the City/Town!

I'm NOT done! They'll give you a $2,000.00 a year pay increase each year.

Wait a minute, I see they'll even pay you one weeks paid vacation the first year you're there!

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better........ They're willing to pay 100% for your college education. When you graduate they'll pay you an additional 8% increase for an associates degree and a 16% increase for a bachelors degree!!!!!

You'll be included in the Florida Retirement System and wait a minute, they're even throwing in a TAKE HOME CAR!

Oh No, could there be MORE? How about this. They'll pay you ANY leave you have left from your previous job and they'll work you four 10 hour days and you're off the next three days.

NOW, If you're a Police Officer 2 with some experience your salary would start at $48,000.00 a year! Any Sergeant will start at $52,000.00 a year! If you have experience they'll pay you a starting salary of $63,000.00 a year!!!

A Captain with 6 years experience will start at $94,000.00 a year!

If you don't believe me, Barrie Tilghman & Chief Webster, click here (miamigardenspolice.org) and it will take you directly to their Website and tell you everything I just quoted.

Follow me one more time around the City of Salisbury again Chief, (like you did yesterday, honking your horn, waving and laughing at me) and I'll post even more opportunities for your people to look into. I don't have to take any more of your abuse and I think you'll come to learn that if I'm treated and respected properly, I'm a pretty decent guy. If you abuse me in any way I'll find ways legally to make your live a living hell. LEAVE ME ALONE!

As for Barrie Tilghman, Gary Comegys, Mike Dunn & Lynn Cathcart, SHAME ON YOU! Look at all the money you threw away on rip rap along the river, (that didn't need it) instead of taking care of the Police! It's time for some changes in Salisbury Folks and the Police Officers not only deserve FAR better pay, they also deserve to apply for jobs like this because it's a far better future than what they're dealing with right now. Their own Boss doesn't even ask for the proper salaries for his own Staff because the Mayor already told him they weren't getting it, period.

I cannot state this as a fact but I have been told that when someone asked Lynn Cathcart why the Police Officers weren't getting better pay she replied, "You can't get something you don't ask for." They then asked, are you telling me Chief Webster never asked for the proper pay increase? She supposedly replied, "You can't get something you don't ask for."

UPDATE, There are 150 positions available right away.

Jimmy's Grille Has Arrived

It only took a year or so to get but the sign for Jimmy's Grille has finally arrived. I'd expect it to take another 6 months to install.

Once Again, The Daily Times Sucks!

Dear Mr. Greg Bassett:

Can't you pick on someone your own size? Today you placed Debbie Campbell's photo above the Grapevine Section of the paper, (which I don't recall the Grapevine ever having a photo of anyone on there before) and go on the attack against Debbie Campbell.

I personally think Debbie Campbell has the perfect right to SUE the Daily Times for slander and defamation. YOU allow a supposed comment to be entered into the Grapevine and then you place her photo there? I'd say the Daily Times was completely behind such slander 100%. This wasn't a write in to the Grapevine, this was placed there by Staff and or the Mayor herself pushing staff into doing so.

Folks, this is what happens when they start running scared. The face of politics IS going to change and they're scared to death. The Daily Times, Barrie Tilghman & Gary Comegys want to associate Debbie Campbell with Tim Spies, Terry Cohen and the Blogs to make us all seem like bad people.

This is why they keep stating that in the Press, so they can make it seem like it's the truth. Old School Politics. They'll come back with, it's even been said in the press. Yep, you make it up, the Daily Times prints it and then they start using it against you. MANUFACTURED NEWS!

This is why the Blogs are kicking their butts and they're running scared, it's a fact. Debbie, sue the crap out of them because it's your right. The good part is, it's not the City and you wouldn't be forcing the taxpayers to pay for it in the end. They created the idea of placing your photo there to add to the defamation, therefore, public figure or not, you have a case of defamation and I'd go for it.

I'm A FOB

I can park anywhere I want, including overnight, yellow lined & red lined curbs and NOT get a ticket. I have seen this vehicle and trailer parked here at least 10 times and not once did I see a ticket on the vehicle. There's clearly no parking allowed there.

Do You Believe Some People Come Back As Animals?

I believe this is Jim Rapp wanting to defrost my windshield.

Terry Cohen / Daily Times

The delay in publishing a letter to the editor of the Daily Times from Terry Cohen, candidate for one of three Salisbury City Council District 2 seats, was due to a simple misunderstanding and the candidate’s unusually heavy schedule, according to the candidate. The letter had been provided to broadcast and electronic media, the latter of which published the letter on some sites.

“My letter conformed to a previous 300-word limit of the newspaper. I was unaware that the Daily Times now has a policy limiting letters to 250 words. When the newspaper notified me, I opted to revise the letter accordingly myself,” Cohen said.

“However, due to unforeseen work and personal demands, I was unable to immediately resubmit it. It has now been revised and resubmitted. Publication is anticipated some time this week,” the candidate added.

Cohen said she released the letter to other media because its message was appropriate for a wider distribution than just the newspaper’s. With this release, Cohen said, “I simply wanted to inform the public of the real reason for the delay.”

President Bush

Isn't it interesting how President Bush's ratings are at an all time low and all of a sudden we're having bomb threats and suspicious packages all over the Country again? Like Dunn, there's nothing more to say, he's outta here. Just let the man run out his time and never bring the name up again unless you want a really good laugh.

If You're Still Awake

Take a walk outside and take a look at the moon. There's another huge circle around it once again so we just might see some snow after all? It worked the last time and it's a pretty cool sight to see with a full moon.

For Immediate Release

John S. Harris, 63, a long time resident of the Salisbury area announces his candidacy for City Council. As a businessman, he feels the City should be run like a business. He feels the Mayor and Council should be accountable to the stockholders of the City-the taxpayers. He believes in clear, open and honest government.

GOALS:

1. CRIME- Take back the streets of Salisbury by increasing the funding for the Police Department for whatever is necessary to do the job. If management is not up to the task, then find someone else who is.

2. BLIGHT- Attack blight wherever and whoever is feeding it in out City. Crime breeds blight. Blight breeds crime. Correct these and we can have affordable housing where our people will not be afraid to reside. Safer neighborhoods, affordable housing and lack of blight will help remove Salisbury from the list of 20 most dangerous cities.

3. JOBS- Create a business-friendly city for both small and large companies so that the young and old can become employed.

Mr. Harris is not a single issue candidate. He looks at the issues that effect the whole community, not single issues that effect a selected population. He also believes in the people of his community and is dedicated to listening to their views, concerns and ideas so that we can all make Salisbury a city it deserves to be.

Mayor Tilghman Plays DeFense

Although Barrie Tilghman sent out an e-mail assuring everyone that the security fence is being taken care of around the Old Mall, she's lied once again. Days have gone by after her reassurances and the fence still lies on the ground, unsecured.

It should also be noted that people are still driving all over the parking lot there, even though they've barricaded off the entrances, hence the photo just above.

Lost

Two guys, one old and one young, are pushing their carts around Home Depot when they collide.

The old guy says to the young guy, "Sorry about that. I'm looking for my wife, and I guess I wasn't paying attention to where I was going.

"The young guy says, "That's OK. It's a coincidence. I'm looking for my wife, too. I can't find her and I'm getting a little desperate."

The old guy says, "Well, maybe we can help each other. What does your wife look like?"

The young guy says, "Well, she is 24 yrs old, tall, with blonde hair, blue eyes, long legs, big boobs, and she's wearing tight white shorts, a halter top and no bra.

What does your wife look like?"

The old guy says, "Doesn't matter --- let's look for yours."

Salisbury, PIMP MY RIDE!

VALOR

Sheriffs Deputy, Cris Taylor, has opened a unique Cop Shop behind the Giant off Rt. 13 in the Goliath Shopping Center. The selection of items are very unique and extremely durable and long lasting. If you're a Cop, GO THERE! If you're not, go there anyway. Besides the fact that Cris is a great guy, give a local guy a chance. In the very least, shake his hand and thank him and his brothers for all they do for our communities.

Stop Grafiti At The Pumps

Between graffiti and self advertising for a business, this poor gas station is getting it coming and going. It doesn't look as if they're at all interested in cleaning it up either. Some of these stickers have been here quite a while and the City hasn't given them a 14 day order to have it removed?

Jimmy's Grill Just Won't Quit!

Day after day, this place just doesn't get it. Nor does the supposed Health Department in Wicomico County. You know what, that does it for me. I'm simply going to STOP eating out at restaurants in Salisbury any more because this was all I needed to see to know there's no protection towards your health out here any more.

The Truth About The Daily Times Relocating

Delmarva Dealings and Integrity Maters are both telling stories that The Daily Times may be moving. This story simply is not true. Although The Daily Times is researching/hoping to purchase a new Press, (which has failed them numerous times in the past) they would consider housing that new Press in another location, yet keep all their offices exactly where it is located now. They feel they could add far more office space in the building they're currently in if the Press was relocated but they have no plans on moving anywhere. I just wanted to set the record straight.
