Five 'suspected Isis terrorists' are detained in major Moscow shopping mall over 'plot to attack targets in the Russian capital'

Five suspected ISIS terrorists allegedly plotting attacks in the Russian capital have been detained at a major Moscow shopping mall with outlets of Marks & Spencer and Topshop.

The suspects were held after a joint FSB security service and police operation in the crowded Evropeisky shopping centre, officials revealed.

The alleged cell had reportedly been plotting attacks on a school and a police station over the New Year holidays.

The FSB said 'communication devices with instructions from the ISIS international terrorist organisation's emissaries' were seized from the suspects during searches.

Hallmark pulls commercial of brides kissing after calls for boycott

The Hallmark Channel has pulled a commercial featuring brides kissing during a same-sex wedding ceremony, just days after a conservative group launched a campaign calling on the network to pull the ad.

The commercial from the wedding planning website, Zola, features a lesbian couple celebrating their nuptials. The ad first debuted on Hallmark on Dec. 2.

Earlier this week, One Million Moms, a division of the American Family Association that claims its mission is to “stop the exploitation of our children, especially by the entertainment media,” launched a petition urging Hallmark to stop airing the commercial and other LGBTQ content.

“The Hallmark Channel has always been known for its family friendly movies. Even its commercials are usually safe for family viewing. But unfortunately, that is not the case anymore,” One Million Moms said on its website.

PIERS MORGAN: Boris Johnson's triumph proves democracy-denying radical socialists backed by self-righteous celebrities on Twitter are electoral poison

'What an earthquake we have created!' cried a jubilant Boris Johnson after his stunning UK election triumph last night.

Unusually, the British Prime Minister wasn't either wildly exaggerating or speaking with forked tongue.

Johnson's victory was a genuinely seismic moment, and one whose forceful tremors will be felt most keenly across the Atlantic in America.

Because make no mistake, the lessons from this election carry extraordinary pertinence for next year's US election.

Like Donald Trump and his 'Make America Great Again' mantra in 2016, Boris Johnson won with one very simple message that he rammed home every minute of every day of the six-week campaign.

'The law is the law'

Democrat lawmakers on Capitol Hill say local police who do not enforce gun control measures likely to pass in Virginia should face prosecution and even threats of the National Guard.

After November's Virginia Legislature elections that led to Democrats taking control of both chambers, the gun control legislation proposed by some Democrats moved forward, including universal background checks, an “assault weapons” ban, and a red flag law.

Legal firearm owners in the state, however, joined with their sheriffs to form Second Amendment sanctuary counties, which declare the authorities in these municipalities uphold the Second Amendment in the face of any gun control measure passed by Richmond.

Over 75 counties in Virginia have so far adopted such Second Amendment sanctuary resolutions in the commonwealth, the latest being Spotsylvania County. The board of supervisors voted unanimously to approve a resolution declaring that county police will not enforce state-level gun laws that violate Second Amendment rights.

Virginia Democrat officials, however, already say local law enforcement supporting these resolutions will face consequences if they do not carry out any law the state Legislature passes.

“I would hope they either resign in good conscience, because they cannot uphold the law which they are sworn to uphold, or they're prosecuted for failure to fulfill their oath,” Democrat Virginia Rep. Gerry Connolly told the Washington Examiner of local county police who may refuse to enforce future gun control measures.

“The law is the law. If that becomes the law, you don't have a choice, not if you're a sworn officer of the law.”

CNN ADMITS DEMS PURPOSELY MISQUOTED TRUMP DURING IMPEACHMENT HEARING

“Fact check: Trump says Democrats misquoted his call. He’s correct,” reads a shockingly honest admission from CNN.

During Friday’s debate over the articles of impeachment in the House Judiciary Committee, Democrats Veronica Escobar (D-TX) and Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) intentionally misquoted President Trump to push their agenda.

“Dems Veronica Escobar and Jackson Lee purposely misquoted my call,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “I said I want you to do us (our Country!) a favor, not me a favor. They know that but decided to LIE in order to make a fraudulent point! Very sad.”

"What Happens If Nothing Happens?"

I have a question for American patriots...

We know what we have seen so far. We can all see the crimes. A blind man can see this with a wooden stick. It appears that the previous administration weaponized the FBI, shielded a favored candidate from criminal prosecution, abused the FISA court to spy on an opposition candidate, and deliberately worked to subvert the 2016 Presidential election.

This is astonishing.

This makes Watergate, Monica Lewinsky, Teapot Dome, and Iran/Contra look like Romper Room. This was nothing short of an attempted coup, and if you believe rumors and rumblings, the FISA memo is just "the tip of the iceberg". People are talking about sweeping hearings, numerous convictions, and many, many people going to jail.

Except that we've heard that before. We've heard it for years, time and time again, but it never seems to happen.

So here's the question:

Test that looks at your SPIT to tell if you have mouth or throat cancer caused by HPV 'could save thousands of lives

A saliva test that diagnoses mouth and throat cancer caused by HPV could save thousands of lives each year, a study suggests.

Scientists at Duke University in North Carolina discovered the test was 80 per cent accurate at spotting the killer diseases.

Doctors say it is able to detect the cancers early on, giving patients much higher hopes of surviving their battle.

Before it can be used in hospitals around the world, further trials will be needed to confirm the technology works.

But the researchers are hopeful, claiming the cheaper test - which gives results in as little as 10 minutes - has significant 'potential'.

Teacher Unions Destroy School Accountability

Just months after successfully threatening an illegal strike to obtain a modest salary raise, members of the Clark County, Nevada, teachers union, the Clark County Education Association (CCEA), are going to have to give a big chunk of that back, thanks to a pair of recent rate hikes that will cost the average teacher nearly $1,000 a year.

The first hike came earlier this year, when the state's Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) announced an increase that will cost the average Nevada teacher an additional $750 annually.

The second increase came last month, when the CCEA voted to increase its annual dues to $846, up from $630.

Combined, these increases mean that most CCEA members are going to see nearly $1,000 more docked from their paychecks next year:

Rudy Giuliani Can Barely Contain Himself Over His Ukraine Findings

Rudy Giuliani is grinning like the Cheshire cat. His standard smile.

For the past several weeks, the personal attorney to President Trump has been in Ukraine, interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence to shed light on what the Bidens were up to during the Obama years, and get to the bottom of claims that Kiev interfered in the 2016 US election in favor of Hillary Clinton. He has enlisted the help of former Ukrainian diplomat, Andriy Telizhenko, to gather information from politicians and ask them to participate in a documentary series in partnership with One America News Network (OANN) - which will make the case for investigating the Bidens as well as Burisma Holdings - the natural gas firm which employed the son of a sitting US Vice President in a case which reeks of textbook corruption.

According to the Journal, Giuliani will present findings from his self-described "secret assignment" in a 20-page report.
Trump and Giuliani say then-Vice President Biden engaged in corruption when he called for the ouster of a Ukrainian prosecutor who had investigated a Ukrainian gas company where Hunter Biden served on the board. The Bidens deny wrongdoing, and ousting the prosecutor was a goal at the time of the U.S. and several European countries. -Wall Street Journal

Election Irregularities Persist in Palm Beach County 20 Years After Bush-Gore Standoff

You would think that after being one of the centers of the election storm in 2000 when the hotly contested Florida recount determined whether George Bush or Al Gore would be president of the United States, Palm Beach County would have gotten its act together.

But as is evident from a recent report from the Public Interest Legal Foundation, which shows problems such as the dead rising from their graves to vote, Palm Beach County still is not properly supervising the election process or maintaining accurate voter registration rolls.

This latest revelation comes on top of the decision last January by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to remove Susan Bucher, the county’s election supervisor, for incompetence and neglect of duty in the 2018 election. The news also follows the recent arrest and removal of the information technology manager of the elections office for shoving a police officer who was investigating child pornography.

The report from the Public Interest Legal Foundation, titled “Calm Before the Storm,” is based on a three-month review of Palm Beach County’s records, practices, and procedures. Unfortunately, that review found numerous problems, ranging from clerical errors in voter records to evidence of double voting and ballots cast by the deceased.

The report found 68 voters who were not registered at their home addresses as required by law, but at businesses and even government addresses.

At least 10 used the address of the Boca Raton police station in their registration. Others used addresses of fire stations, city halls, and UPS stores. Using improper addresses on registration forms is another loophole that fraudsters use to erode the safety of elections.

Hong Kong Police Tape Tear Gas Canister on Wall to Mock Miami Banana Art

The police force in Hong Kong is facing ridicule after attempting to co-opt the recent “Art Basel Banana” artwork to make light of their repeated use of tear gas against the city’s pro-democracy protesters.

On its official Twitter account, the police force posted a picture of a tear gas cartridge taped to the wall, in a mockery of the “Art Basel Banana” artwork, three editions of which sold last week for a staggering $120,000 to $150,000 each.

“For a Police officer, using force, including tear gas, is always the last resort,” the tweet read. “If rioters don’t use violence, Hong Kong will be safe and there’s no reason for us to use force. Say NO to violence. Let’s leave the tear gas cartridge on the wall forever.”

The tweet was immediately subject to widespread ridicule over the claim that Hong Kong police were using tear gas as a “last resort,” given that it has consistently been a security force’s weapon of choice since demonstrations broke out in June this year.

Nolte: Media Ignore Brutal School Bus Assault on Florida Child

A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized after being brutally beaten on a school bus this week… and the usual tut-tutters of “toxic” this and “bigotry” that have nothing to say.

The appalling video has only now gone viral on social media. According to the family of the boy, who is only being identified as Tyler, the beating occurred on November 21.

Via Twitter, Tyler’s mother (@AmericanDiaries), said the beating occurred because her son wore a “Trump 2020” hat to school in the past, something he picked up at a flea market.

She said Tyler was immediately harassed for wearing the hat and stopped wearing it, but the resentment and anger lingered to the breaking point on the bus. The date that he stopped wearing it is unclear, as the school district said no political apparel was seen in security footage of the incident.

The video is like something out of a horror movie, a violent scene filled with high-pitched shrieking and a horde of kids jumping Tyler, fists swinging. Tyler does try to defend himself, but he’s outnumbered five-to-one and forced to lie down on his school bus seat and protect himself from a rain of blows from three girls and two boys.

Here’s my question…

Where the hell’s the establishment media on this?

If the media are as noble and unbiased and concerned with bullying and political violence as they pompously claim, where are they?

We have video, for crying out loud.

How to Move a Historic Mansion? Tug it Across the Chesapeake Bay

An innovative way has been used to transfer a historic 18th century mansion across the Chesapeake bay. If innovation and progress are long-held values of American culture, they do have a certain downside. As new things come into fashion, older things are often simply abandoned and left to rot. That’s true for small things, like old clothes, but it’s also true for large things, like buildings.

As local economies rise and fall, so do neighborhoods and the dwellings within them. That’s what happened with the historic mansion known as Galloway in Easton, Maryland. In an effort to save the venerable old house from being destroyed to make way for new development, its current owner put it on a barge and had it moved 50 across Chesapeake Bay and then taken to a new site in Queenstown, where it will be restored and continue its remarkable ‘life’, according to a report from local television station WJLA.

There’s a website dedicated to the building’s big move, which says that the Georgian mansion has been sitting empty and neglected. It was originally constructed in the years 1760-1764, for William Nichols and new wife, Henrietta. It sat in the middle of what was then their 600-acre plantation in Talbot County. Galloway was where the couple’s four children were all born, and where both parents died early – by 1778.

Shattered dreams of global far-left revolution

Jeremy Corbyn had hoped to become the vanguard of a global socialist movement but will step down in humiliation after overseeing his party’s worst election defeat since 1935.

To his supporters, the 70-year-old offered a chance to deliver a radical leftist agenda, shaking up the economy and reversing a decade of Conservative public spending cuts.

His vision attracted droves of young supporters, celebrity backing and the endorsement of other figures of the global socialist movement, with high-profile US congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez sending a supportive tweet on polling day.

But the wider public failed to warm to him, a situation made worse by his refusal to take a position on Brexit and accusations of anti-Semitism and sympathizing with terrorists.

With two seats left to declare, Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Conservatives inflicted Labour’s worst loss since 1935.

Social justice education requirements cost college students $10B per year

As many college graduates continue to struggle with their student loan debt, a new report reveals that mandatory social justice curriculum classes share some responsibility for rising college costs.

According to a report released by the National Association of Scholars, a conservative-leaning academic think tank, the growth of social justice on campus is adding serious costs. It has reached the point where it now costs students more than $10 billion dollars a year in tuition costs and university fees to finance social-justice-oriented educational programs and expenditures.

In their findings, the authors of the report detail how many university professors and administrators have infused social justice theory and ideals into their educational curriculum, which has led to the transformation of universities into training camps for progressive activism.

In conducting the analysis, lead study author David Randall noted that he identified the cost of two social justice courses at a public university in Arizona to be roughly $4,000, a conservative estimate, and applied it to the 2.2 million students nationwide who immediately enroll in college following high school graduation.

John Brennan deflects questions about Carter Page FISA process to FBI

Questions about government missteps in the electronic surveillance of a onetime Trump campaign adviser had former CIA Director John Brennan pointing at the FBI.

Meet the Press host Chuck Todd pressed Brennan to open up about the Justice Department inspector general's report on the Trump-Russia investigation, which outlined several "significant" errors and omissions in the FBI's effort to obtain Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrants to monitor Carter Page.

"I would defer to the bureau on the FISA matter, because they’re the ones that actually initiate and then follow through on it," Brennan said Tuesday on MSNBC regarding whether he would make a determination if there should have been an approved FISA warrant application.

NYC student’s murder stems from liberals’ reversal of Rudy Giuliani’s anti-crime policies, ex-police chief says

This week’s shocking fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old Barnard College student in New York City may have been prevented if liberals now running the city’s government hadn’t begun reversing former Mayor Rudy Giuliani’s anti-crime policies, a former city police commissioner says.

Bernard Kerik, an Army veteran who was head of the nation’s largest police department when terrorists struck the World Trade Center on 9/11, made the comment Thursday, in reaction to Wednesday’s murder of Tessa Majors, a Virginia native who police say was viciously beaten and stabbed by three or four attackers in the early evening in a Manhattan park.

The slaying startled and devastated residents of the surrounding area in addition to Majors’ classmates at Barnard – a private college for women -- and other nearby schools, including Columbia University.

Judge Rules Taxpayer-Funded Medicaid Must Cover Transgender Surgery in Wisconsin

A federal judge has ruled the taxpayer-funded Medicaid program must cover transgender surgery in Wisconsin.

Judge William Conley, of U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin, an Obama appointee, said a 1997 state regulation that excluded transgender treatments and surgeries from Medicaid coverage violated federal law, including the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare; the federal Medicaid Act; and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

A press release at National Health Law Program (NHeLP), which joined with other law firms in the class action lawsuit that challenged the exclusion, noted the state did not appeal the ruling “and has agreed to settle the named plaintiffs’ remaining claims.”

Reuters photographer ejected from impeachment hearing for taking pictures of notes

We noticed that, announced it to staff," Gaetz stated. "That photographer has been removed. I would just say, no member, Republican or Democrat, should be subject to that."

Nadler: House Rules Don’t Apply Until After Impeachment

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) offered a bizarre justification Thursday for ignoring House rules requiring him to allow Republicans to call witnesses: it did not say he had to do so on a particular day.

The existing resolution authorizing the impeachment inquiry, H. Res. 660, allows the Ranking Member of the committee to call witnesses — subject to the approval of the chair and a majority vote by the whole committee.

Failing that, Republicans invoked House of Representatives Rule XI 12(j)(1), which requires the chairs of House committees to allow the members of the minority party to hold a full day of hearings featuring their own witnesses.

The full rule reads:

Whenever a hearing is conducted by a committee on a measure or matter, the minority members of the committee shall be entitled, upon request to the chair by a majority of them before the completion of the hearing, to call witnesses selected by the minority to testify with respect to that measure or matter during at least one day of hearing thereon.

But on Thursday morning, when Ranking Member Doug Collins (R-GA) raised the issue as a point of order, Nadler offered several reasons for sidestepping the rule.

Reading from a prepared text, Nadler argued: “The House rule does not require me to schedule a hearing on a particular day, nor does it require me to schedule the hearing as a condition precedent to taking any specific legislative action.”
