Councilman Larry Dodd In Recovery

In case you are wondering I am home and just now getting my vision back without it being blurry or seeing double vision. Thank you to everyone who visited, emailed, called or texted, it meant a lot. Thanks to Marc Kilmer for taking me home. I had enough of the hospital and didn't want to stay any longer or go to rehab.

What you read in the news or on the blog is nowhere near the truth. Not one person contacted me for the truth and somewhat made up a story. It can also be considered Fake News. Interesting how someone was quick to leak the information. I'm limited at what I can say because of an ongoing investigation, but I do want to thank the men and women of the Salisbury Police Department for investigating the attack and locking that low life up. Thanks to Chief Deputy Gary Baker for visiting me in the ER and offering the assistance of the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office and the C.A.T. team.

Anyway, Hope everyone has an awesome Fathers Day.

Governor Hogan Urges Federal Treasury to Release Tubman $20 Bill in 2020

Governor Hogan Urges Federal Treasury to Release Tubman $20 Bill in 2020
Pens Letter to Secretary Mnuchin to Reconsider Extended Timeline

ANNAPOLIS, MD—Governor Larry Hogan today sent a letter to U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, urging the federal administration to reconsider its decision to delay the release of the Harriet Tubman twenty-dollar bill. The governor cited concerns that, while the release was originally slated for 2020, “citizens across Maryland and the country will instead have to wait nearly a decade for this new bill to reach general circulation.”

“Dorchester County, Maryland is incredibly proud to be a steward of Harriet Tubman’s lasting legacy, but her influence reaches far beyond the borders of our great state,” wrote Governor Hogan. “I hope that your department will reconsider its decision and instead join our efforts to promptly memorialize Tubman’s life and many achievements.”

Tubman overcame abuse, war, chronic illness, and extreme injustice to make her mark on American history as a suffragette, an abolitionist, and a Civil War veteran. People from across the nation and around the world have shown great interest in preserving and promoting her story. The Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad State Park and Visitors Center in Church Creek, which Governor Hogan marked the grand opening of in 2017, receives hundreds of thousands of visitors each year from all 50 states and over 60 countries.

“She dedicated her life in selfless service to others and to the cause of freedom,” the governor said. “Her unbelievable acts of heroism, courage, and sacrifice have more than earned her rightful place among our nation’s most pivotal leaders. She deserves this honor.”

You Shouldn't Bring A Bat To A Fight If You Don't Want It Used Against You

Wicomico County Councilman Larry Dodd got into an argument at his home with another individual over dogs and the other guy beat the crap out of Larry, who ultimately ended up in the hospital for two days. While we published the formal information at 8:30 last night, we need o put a face to the story so you know what the press release was all about.

'Gay' Flag Displaces Veterans Memorial POW/MIA Flag

In the increasingly leftist People’s Republic of Maryland, where, like northern Virginia, right-thinking grassroots Americans are under siege by hordes of DC bureaucrats flooding into their suburbs and taking over their state and local governments, another example of the resulting left-think effluent is flying high.

On Monday, in the DC suburb of Montgomery County, the POW/MIA flag in the high-profile Veterans Memorial Plaza was replaced by a “gay pride” flag for the month of June, which is “pride month.” The county council’s first gender-confused “LGBTQ” member pushed for the celebration of “gay pride month” with the raising of that rainbow flag.

Notably, there is only one day each year designated to honor the service and sacrifice of Veterans — November 11.

The asinine trend of raising rainbow flags in front of government buildings began, of course, with Barack Obama, who ordered “gay pride” celebrations and used our military to implement his government-wide gender-confusion agenda. So absurd is this trend that Obama’s actions even led to a “gay parody” of the flag raising represented by the Iwo Jima Marine Memorial.

Congressional Democrats have aggressively advanced Obama’s agenda under Donald Trump, most recently with their so-called “Equality Act” sponsored by their heterophobic gender deniers. That is, first and foremost, an appeal to female voters who support that agenda.

I rode around San Francisco with a pool noodle attached to my bike. Here's what went down.

"F--- you, b----," a man shouts at me from the rolled-down window of his silver sedan.

We're at the intersection of Fifth and Mission. I'm stopped at the light in the right lane, astride my bicycle, and the angry silver sedan man is right behind me. He wants to turn right on red.

Under most circumstances, an obviously hurried driver such as this one would simply weave around a cyclist, scooching within inches of the bicycle to shave a few seconds off his drive time.

But angry sedan man can't get around me — at least not without some problem solving. This is because I have a bright yellow pool noodle, approximately 63 inches in length, tied to the back of my bicycle. It juts about three feet into the right lane — denoting the minimum safe passing distance for cars and bicycles, per California law.

Ocean City Names New Fire Chief

OCEAN CITY — After an extensive search and interview process, resort officials announced the new chief of the Ocean City Fire Department.

Earlier this year, Ocean City Fire Chief Chris Larmore announced his retirement after nearly 11 years as chief and over three decades with the town’s fire department. Larmore’s retirement became effective at the end of March, touching off an extensive search for his replacement.

On Tuesday, the Mayor and Council announced the process has been completed with the hiring of longtime Montgomery County firefighter Richie Bowers, who has served at different times as the fire chief in Montgomery County and also in Fairfax County, Va.

Bowers had been a member of the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service for 34 years, serving in every career rank from firefighter/EMT to ultimately fire chief. Bowers also served on the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Urban Search and Rescue Maryland Task Force I team since its inception and has been on several deployments in that role including the Oklahoma City bombing and the 9-11 Pentagon terrorist attack.

House to Hold Hearing on Slavery Reparations

A House Judiciary subcommittee will hold hearings on reparations next Wednesday, marking the first time in more than a decade that the House will discuss potentially compensating the descendants of slaves.

“The Case for Reparations” author Ta-Nehisi Coates and actor Danny Glover are reportedly set to testify before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties, and the hearing’s stated purpose will be “to examine, through open and constructive discourse, the legacy of the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, its continuing impact on the community and the path to restorative justice,” according to a Thursday Associated Press report.

The June 19 hearing also “coincides with Juneteenth, a cultural holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved blacks in America.”

Butt-edge-edge: Ban Voter ID Laws

Presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg (D) on Tuesday called for voter ID laws to be banned as part of his plan to “safeguard democracy” for black Americans.

In an op-ed for the Charleston Chronicle, Buttigieg called for a “21st Century Voting Rights Act” becuse “cynicism” about the political “is nowhere more warranted than in the Black community, where systematic efforts are taking away the right to vote.”

“This means banning practices like voter ID laws and ensuring that potentially discriminatory changes to voting laws first be reviewed by the Department of Justice,” Buttigieg wrote. “We are not a true democracy if certain Americans are restricted from voting because one party has decided they would be better off if fewer people vote.”

Buttigieg wrote his op-ed ahead of next week’s BET Black Economic Alliance Forum and called for a “Douglas Plan for Black America” that also includes “reducing sentencing disparities,” bridging the wealth gap between black and white Americans, and encouraging “greater economic security within the Black community.”

“A week from now, our nation will celebrate Juneteenth. It marks the day when enslaved Black people in Texas learned–almost two years after the fact–that the Emancipation Proclamation had rendered them free people.

Ocean City Police Credit Surveillance Photos & Public’s Assistance in Identifying Suspect

OCEAN CITY, MD – (June 10, 2019): Ocean City Police have identified the suspect in the stabbing that occurred Sunday on Caroline Street and the Boardwalk. Detectives credit the town’s City Watch program, along with the public’s assistance, in quickly identifying Harold Rafael Nunez-Dominguez, 19, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

“We would not have the photographs, video evidence and the ability to quickly identify the suspect without our City Watch program,” commented Ocean City Police Chief Ross Buzzuro. “The investment in the town’s surveillance technology is a key factor in solving this case.”

In addition to City Watch photographs, multiple police tips from citizens and a vigilant hotel employee are credited for helping detectives identify the suspect as a hotel guest. “We work closely with the Chamber of Commerce and the Hotel, Motel Restaurant Association on ways to properly identify their guests,” Chief Buzzuro continued. “With the visitors of our community changing weekly, the partnership of our residents and business community is invaluable to our department and to our investigations.”

Nunez-Dominguez’s has been charged with two counts of assault in the first and second degree, as well as two counts of reckless endangerment. A warrant was issued for his arrest this afternoon and he is currently in police custody in Pennsylvania awaiting extradition to Maryland.

Omar Has Agreed to Repay Thousands After Investigation Into Marriages

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D., Minn.) will repay thousands after the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board found she filed tax returns claiming she was married to one man when she was married to another.

Omar has agreed to repay $3,500 and a $500 fine amid the investigation into allegations she misused campaign funds, CBS Minnesota reports.

"All of Rep. Omar’s tax filings are fully compliant with all applicable tax law," a spokesperson for Omar said regarding the tax issue.

CBS Minnesota summarized the history of Omar's personal relationships and Campaign Finance Board Documents.

Omar had two children with Ahmed Hirsi in the early 2000s, but did not marry him. In 2009, she legally married Ahmed Elmi, but received a faith-based divorce — not a legal one — in 2011. In 2012, Omar reconciled with Hirsi and they had another child. She and Hirsi filed joint married tax returns in 2014 and 2015. In 2016, Omar's lawyer and accountants found her filings needed to be corrected. A year later, Omar filed for divorce from Elmi, and in 2018 she legally married Hirsi.

Newt: Pelosi 'Looking Like a Jerk' on Prison Comment

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was "looking like a jerk" with her comments about wanting to see President Donald Trump in prison, and she's in a fight she won't win, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Friday.

"I think she has set the standard," Gingrich told Fox News' "America's Newsroom." "When you say you want to see somebody in jail, probably that person doesn't respond very well and with Trump you have somebody who always counter-punches."

"I don't think this is a fight she wins."

He pointed to Trump's past 10 days and his trips to Japan and to London, calling his actions "very presidential."

US Diplomats Fly LGBT Flag at Embassies Despite Trump Administration Instructions

Several U.S. embassies have reportedly disregarded the State Department’s directive not to display rainbow flags on flagpoles during Pride Month.

Several ambassadors and diplomats have decided to step around the instructions, The Washington Post reported Saturday.

“This is a category one insurrection,” one diplomat who wished to remain anonymous told the Post, responding to the wave of disobedience to the State Department’s rule.

The U.S. embassies in Seoul, South Korea, and Chennai, India, have prominently displayed rainbow flags on the sides of their buildings for Pride Month, according to the report.

The embassy in New Delhi also bypassed the State Department’s instruction by decorating its building with rainbow lights for the month-long celebration.

Biden: ‘Wasn’t One Single Hint of a Scandal or a Lie’ in Obama Years

Former Vice President Joe Biden claimed Wednesday that there were no scandals or lies in the Obama-Biden administration.

“Know what I was most proud of?” he asked voters in Iowa. “For eight years, there wasn’t one single hint of a scandal or a lie.”

Former President Barack Obama won the “Lie of the Year” by the left-wing fact-checker PolitiFact in 2013 for saying that Americans could keep their health care plan if they liked it despite Obamacare.

Biden also failed to mention the failure to protect Americans at the consulate in Benghazi, Attorney General Eric Holder’s role in covering up the Fast and Furious scandal, or the IRS persecution of Tea Party groups.

New Mexico police investigating vandalism of rainbow crosswalk as possible hate crime

New Mexico police are investigating an incident in which motorcyclists reportedly vandalized a freshly painted rainbow crosswalk made to honor Pride Month.

The Albuquerque Police Department (APD) is investigating the vandalism, which left tire marks from “burnouts” and ruined the $30,000 crosswalk, according to the Albuquerque Journal.

Video posted online shows dozens of bikers riding over the crosswalk in the middle of town, with one rider blowing out his tire and walking his bike to the curb.

“The facts will determine the appropriate charges, including whether damages amount to misdemeanor or felony charges,” police spokesman Gilbert Gallegos told the newspaper. “City crews attempted to clean the crosswalks today. It is not yet clear whether some portions will need to be re-striped.”

Bernie Sanders: Americans 'would be delighted to pay more in taxes' for socialist policies

Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said more taxes would be necessary in order to pay for things like universal healthcare and tuition-free college.

Sanders pointed to countries like Germany and Finland, where the cost of going to college is minimal.

"But as you know, the taxes in many of those countries are much higher than they are — in individual and personal tax — are much higher than they are in the United States," CNN anchor Anderson Cooper said.

"Yeah, but I suspect a lot of people in the country would be delighted to pay more in taxes if they had comprehensive healthcare as a human right," Sanders said.

California Dems agree to full health benefits for many low-income illegal immigrants, in swipe at Trump

In a stance to distance itself from President Trump’s administration, California is set to become the first state in the country to pay for tens of thousands of illegal immigrants to have full health benefits.

Under an agreement between Gov. Gavin Newsom and Democrats in the state legislature, low-income adults between the ages of 19 and 25 living in California illegally would be eligible for California’s Medicaid program, known as Medi-Cal. The deal emerged as part of a broader $213 billion budget.

The plan would take effect in January 2020, the Sacramento Bee reported.

A Tow Truck Driver Repossessed an NYPD Officer's Car. Then, He Ended up in Handcuffs.

Jose Rodriguez has been a repo man for three years.

"It gets crazy sometimes," he said.

But he said he experienced nothing as crazy as what happened May 30, when he was driving near the 120th Precinct stationhouse and came across a Nissan Maxima wanted by the bank because of three missed payments.

He said he logged the Maxima into his tracking system, lifted it onto his tow truck and was about to walk into the stationhouse to notify police when a green pickup pulled in front of him.

"I was stopped by one officer over there, saying, 'Hey, that's a police officer's car,' with a police sergeant that was off-duty that I didn't know — with him completely blocking me in. He told me, what I'm doing? 'You got to drop the car,'" Rodriguez recalled, standing near the scene of the incident.

Senate Democrats: Americans ‘Have Obligation’ to Give Amnesty to Foreigners

A group of Senate Democrats say American citizens “have an obligation” to give amnesty to potentially millions of foreign nationals living in the United States who they say have “earned the right” to be in the country.

After House Democrats and seven House Republicans passed an expansive amnesty to any illegal alien claiming to have arrived in the U.S. as a child, Senate Democrats are now demanding the Senate do the same.

Senators Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), Ben Cardin (D-MD), and Tim Kaine (D-VA) are urging the GOP-controlled Senate to pass their amnesty plan, which gives nearly half a million foreign nationals living in the U.S. on Temporary Protected Status (TPS) a pathway to American citizenship.

Cardin said in a statement that Americans are obligated to give foreign nationals permanent legal residency and eventually U.S. citizenship via an amnesty.

According to Cardin:
