The investigation is just beginning and details are few. The information currently known is that troopers from the Maryland State Police Salisbury Barrack responded to a farm in the 10000-block of Snethen Church Road, Mardela Springs, Md., after receiving a 911 call shortly before 11:30 a.m. today. The deceased is described as an adult male. A male suspect was taken into custody at the scene.
The cause and manner of death are not known at this time. The body of the deceased will be taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy. A motive is not known at this point in the investigation.
Maryland State Police Homicide Unit investigators have responded and will lead the investigation, with assistance from State Police Criminal Enforcement Division investigators and sheriff’s deputies assigned to the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation. State Police crime scene technicians are responding to process the scene.
Additional details will be provided when they are available. The deceased will not be publicly identified until he has been positively identified and family notified. The suspect will not be identified until he is charged with a crime.
The investigation is continuing.

One brother has taken the life of another with the weapon being a pin for hitching a wagon to a farm tractor. The first subject threw it at the other at which time he picked it up and threw it back striking him in the head killing him. I know more , but this is all I will share for now.
I'm sorry it was a nephew that took his Uncles life.

I heard it was old man Tommy. Can anyone confirm? If he killed someone it was 100% warranted. It would have to be self defense or to get someone off him or away from him.

Perhaps all you armchair investigators should let the real guys do the work and then you'll have ALL the facts and can make a reasonable assumption as to what happened and why. So, not only should fire & ems keep quiet....all you amateur wannabe cops should, as you say, stfu.

How is this for an arm chair investigator.... Trey killed his uncle Lee. This is after Lee knocked Trey out with a watermelon. When he awoke they got into it again. Lee said he was gonna kill Trey. Lee had a gun on his truck. So Trey and Lee got tangled again. Trey was choking Lee and they were broke apart. Lee then turned to his truck as kfnto retrieve his gun. Trey grabbed a hitch pin and caved his skull in. All this over Lee wasting melons that could've been used to feed cows if not good enough for produce. That's what started this argument. Not a cop. Never want to be a worthless pig! And not a fire fighter or ems personnel. Why don't you stfu! It is known what happened. Lee finally got what he deserved.
Allow me to correct ..... Fire police as well. I used the fire and ems to not point out anyone in particular. Mardela definitely has a person giving out details. Whether they're accurate or not I don't know.

Not the EMS on duty today....know this person intimately and git no information from this person what so ever. So stop pointing fingers where they don't belong. Someone died today and all you are worries about is causing a ruckus because you have a grudge against someone...really?

Wrong. Giving details out about a homicide is not a HIPAA violation.
Well I would say a case of self defense. If the kid thought the uncle was going to get a gun, the kid had nowhere to retreat to in a watermelon field. In wide open space like that the kid would have been a sitting duck.

According to MD Judiciary Case search Wm B Harcum 3rd has been charged with Murder 1 and 2, as well as Assault 1 and 2. He's currently being held without bail.
He is known as Trey. He will get a manslaughter charge in the end. Lee was going to kill him if he didn't first. Maryland needs a self defense law. Enough witnesses may even clear him if this was a mutual fight. The mutual combat law that is so hush hush. God forbid people actually duke it out like men.

Wrong Hippa violations do not die with patient. Also it is not just names that violate hippa. It is any information that can identity the patient. Such as address, ss#, or specific information that would give id away.
Anonymous 7:03pm you’re a coward and inhumane for your comments. I’m sure both sides of the family are disappointed in the statements you made towards their family. The Lee I was PRIVILEGED to know was a kind, fun, gentle man. I spent many nights playing pool or at least attempting to play pool with him. I am sad and hurt to hear that his life was ended in such a brutal way. My heart goes out to his wife and friends and anyone that he was generous and loving to. May he rest in peace!
