Gun Owners of America: 'No Guns Allowed' Signs Less Effective than Teachers that Shoot Back

During the March 15 airing of Breitbart News Daily, Gun Owners of America’s Erich Pratt stressed that students need more protection than that which comes from a “No Guns Allowed” sign.

Pratt was reacting to the left’s two-prong approach of keeping teachers defenseless while trusting criminals will obey signs that say guns are not allowed on campus.

He suggested this same approach is being demonstrated by Congress as a whole, inasmuch as they just voted to spend incredible amounts of money on new school security measures while overlooking the “cheaper” proven solution, which is armed teachers.

Mike Rowe: Americans Don't Value Work Anymore

Dirty Jobs’ Mike Rowe believes that many Americans are dissatisfied with their lives because they no longer appreciate the intrinsic value of work.

As The Daily Caller's Amber Athey reports, in a pre-recorded interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson that aired Friday, Rowe accused the American media of convincing people that they will be happier if they choose to work less.

“Look, the best-selling books right now in the self-help section and in general claim to have the solution for how you can work less,” Rowe explained.

“Most of the commercials on TV ask a tacit question, you know, how could you be happier? And the answer, of course, is retire a little sooner or work 35 instead of 40 hours.”

Subject: Steve Hilton: Hillary Clinton’s ‘Deplorables 2’ moment and why it matters for America’s future

First there was the casual sexism: the reason white women didn’t back her when she ran for president, Hillary Clinton believes, is “a sort of ongoing pressure to vote the way that your husband, your boss, your son, whoever, believes you should.”

Have you noticed that her sneering always seems to take the same form? She’s become the queen of the contemptuous listicle that tails off into a snarling “whatever.”

Remember the formulation in the speech where she came up with the term “basket of deplorables?”

“You could put half of Trump's supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables,” Hillary said. “Right? They’re racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic – Islamophobic – you name it.”

“Whoever.” “You name it.” Clinton’s catalog of insults to the people she once hoped to represent typically ends with the rhetorical equivalent of an exasperated monarchical hand sweeping people away as if they were serfs who had dared to show their dirty faces to the queen.

FBI at site where $55M in gold rumored to be buried

Has $55million worth of lost gold from the Civil War era been found in central Pennsylvania?

That's what locals seem to believe after FBI agents, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and treasure hunters Dennis and Kem Parada were seen digging around a remote area in Benezette Township, called Dents Run.

Dennis and his son Kem, the owners of the treasure hunting organization Finders Keepers, have claimed for years that 52 gold bars were buried under a fire pit at Dents Run more than 150 years ago during the Battle of Gettysburg.

Andrew McCabe controversies, from the Trump text scandal to his wife's failed campaign

Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe on March 16.

McCabe was fired just days before he was slated to retire from the bureau, meaning he may not be able to collect his full pension benefits upon his departure.

FBI disciplinary officials reportedly recommended McCabe's firing. His departure comes ahead of a yet-to-be-released inspector general investigation that's allegedly critical of his handling of the Hillary Clinton e-mail probe, the Associated Press reported.

The news comes after McCabe was removed from his second-in-command post at the bureau and announced he was going on “terminal leave" in January.

Republicans have long voiced conflict-of-interest complaints over McCabe's ties to the Democratic Party, including his wife's having received donations for a failed 2015 Senate run from a group tied to former Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe.

Here's what you need to know about McCabe's FBI career and the controversies that have followed..

What about his handling of the Clinton email probe? What is the “Andy” text message? What about his wife’s State Senate campaign?

MEMA Monitoring Series of Winter Storms

Expected to Bring Mix of Precipitation to Parts of State Residents Should Be Aware and Take Appropriate Actions to Stay Safe

REISTERSTOWN, Md. (March 19, 2018) — A series of winter storms is expected to bring frozen precipitation to parts of Maryland, starting tonight and continuing through Wednesday. Timing, temperature and the exact track of each of the systems is still
somewhat uncertain, but residents should prepare now for possible travel delays. The most likely snow accumulations in northern and central Maryland are expected to occur overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning, possibly affecting rush hour traffic.

“This winter storm is extremely unpredictable, so preparedness is key," said Governor Larry Hogan. "Over the next few days, I urge Marylanders to closely follow current weather forecasts, use common sense, and avoid travel if possible during any dangerous conditions."

Said Russell Strickland, executive director of the Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA): “Don’t underestimate this storm because Tuesday is the first day of spring. We are looking at several days of precipitation with temperatures close to freezing. Travel by car or foot could be dangerous.”

MEMA is coordinating conference calls with the four National Weather Service Offices that serve the state, along with key state agencies and local emergency managers. The agency stands ready to mobilize resources in support of local agencies as needed. Because there is still uncertainty about effects of these systems, residents should follow trusted weather sources and be prepared to adjust travel contact information.as needed. Residents in different areas of Maryland may face different effects from this weather system.

Additionally, Maryland residents should consider taking the following actions:
 Closely monitor updated weather forecasts and keep electronic communications
devices charged.
 Check on family, neighbors and friends, especially those who might have
difficulty dealing with the effects of the weather.
 Be cautious shoveling snow or ice to avoid overexertion. Take frequent breaks
and keep hydrated.
 If you must travel, make sure to have car chargers, kitty litter or sand for traction.
Let friends or family know of your travel route and expected arrival time.
 Never run generators indoors or in closed areas.
 Know who to contact in the case of a power outage. Emergency phone numbers for utility companies can be found here:
http://mema.maryland.gov/Pages/PowerOutages.aspx

Traffic, weather and power outage alerts, as well as winter preparedness information, can be accessed on the Maryland Emergency Management Agency’s website at mema.maryland.gov. You can also follow MEMA on Twitter @MDMEMA or on

Law Prof: Did McCabe Just Throw Comey Under The Bus For Perjury?

Fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe may have just thrown former FBI Director James Comey under the bus - perhaps intentionally.

Recall that McCabe was fired for, among other things, an "improper media disclosure." In other words leaking.

In a Saturday morning appearance on CNN with host Michael Smerconish, Constitutional law professor Jonathan Turley suggested that McCabe's statement following his firing "immediately" raised a flag, which may lead to serious consequences for his former boss. McCabe's statement reads in part:

The OIG investigation has focused on information I chose to share with a reporter through my public affairs officer and a legal counselor. As Deputy Director, I was one of only a few people who had the authority to do that. It was not a secret, it took place over several days, and others, including the Director, were aware of the interaction with the reporter.

Turley notes "There was one line in the case statement last night that I immediately flagged. Because he said that he had authority to do this and he conferred with the director - the director at the time was James Comey."

"Now, the problem there is that James Comey said under oath that he never leaked information and never approved a leak," said Turley. "So, if the Inspector General believes this was a leak to the media, it raises serious questions about Comey’s previous testimony and could get him into serious trouble."

This directly contradicts Comey's statement under oath that "he never leaked information, and never approved a leak." Turley continued. "So if the Inspector General believes this was a leak to the media, it raises serious questions about Comey's previous testimony that could get him into serious trouble."

Seaford Man Faces Felony Charges Stemming From Domestic Altercation

Seaford – Delaware State Police have arrested Rodney L. Dale, 43, of Seaford, after he led Troopers on a vehicle pursuit, in an attempt to avoid apprehension on domestic assault related charges.
The incident began at approximately 5:48 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018, when a 37 year old Bridgeville woman responded to Delaware State Police Troop 5, to report a physical domestic, which she had just been involved in, with her boyfriend Rodney Dale.
The investigation determined that at approximately 5:30 p.m., the victim and Dale became engaged in a verbal altercation in the driveway of his residence, in the 24000 block of Dove Road Seaford. The victim entered her vehicle and started the ignition, in an attempt to leave prior to the incident escalating. Dale immediately followed her and positioned himself at her driver’s door, not allowing her to close it. Dale then reached in to the vehicle, turned off the ignition and removed the keys, ignoring the victim’s pleas to allow her to leave.
The victim then began using her cell phone in an attempt to call 911, at which time Dale made threatening statements towards her, before striking her in the face with his closed fist. Dale then placed his forearm against the victim’s throat, restricting her breathing as he attempted to take possession of her cell phone. Dale was able to gain possession of the phone and after doing so caused damage, which rendered it inoperable.
After a brief struggle between the two, Dale threw the set of car keys at the victim, striking her in the face. Once re-gaining possession of the keys she was able to flee to a friends residence, before responding to Troop 5 to report the incident.

McCabe firing was required because the FBI must have zero tolerance for lying under oath

No one should rejoice in the firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe by Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Friday. By all accounts, McCabe’s career over two decades of FBI service was marked with achievements.

The firing, however, was based on the recommendation of a career FBI official under current FBI Director Chris Wray and was justified because the FBI has a zero tolerance for lying under oath. In fact, there are many examples of the rank and file in the FBI losing their jobs and retirement benefits for violating these high standards.

If a different standard is applied at the most senior levels, the FBI is lost. So while this is a sad day, the action taken demonstrates that the dedicated men and women of the FBI will accept no lower standards, regardless of your rank or status.

Make no mistake, this was not a political decision forced by President Trump or any external party. The recommendation to fire McCabe came from the FBI's own Office of Professional Responsibility, led by FBI Assistant Director Candice Will, who has been in her position since her appointment by then-Director Robert Mueller in 2004.

Dershowitz: Ellison ‘Has to Be Fired Immediately’ From DNC

Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz on Friday said Rep. Keith Ellison (D., Minn.) should "be fired immediately" as Democratic National Committee deputy chairman for falsely claiming he had ended his relationship with Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan.

Dershowitz joined "Fox & Friends" to discuss his new book, The Case Against BDS: Why Singling Out Israel for Boycott Is Anti-Semitic and Anti-Peace. Co-host Steve Doocy introduced the topic of Farrakhan's controversial relationship with some members of the Democratic party, first playing a compilation of clips where the Nation of Islam leader slams Jews and white people as "satanic" and deserving to die.

Co-host Ainsley Earhardt asked Dershowitz, a lifelong Democrat and supporter of Hillary Clinton, whether he thought that more Democrats should speak out against Farrakhan and separate themselves from his views.

"I think Keith Ellison has to be fired immediately as the deputy chairman of the DNC. Not only has he become close to Farrakhan, but he's lied to the American public about ending his relationship with Farrakhan," Dershowitz said. "We know that he continued to meet with Farrakhan even after he said he longer met with him. This is the leadership of the Democratic Party. Farrakhan is a bigot. He is far worse than David Duke. Why? Because Farrakhan has a large following. David Duke is a joke."

Dershowitz brought up Duke, the former Klu Klux Klan leader, because the media attempted tie Duke to President Donald Trump, despite Trump denouncing Duke several times.

FBI Director Wray Should Be Fired Next

Wray had threatened to resign if McCabe was fired…

Hallelujah! Last night former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe was actually fired on the recommendation of Inspector General Michael Horowitz — himself an Obama holdover.

I’m still waiting to see McCabe and his fellow Clinton cronies indicted for treason though.

“Baby steps,” or so I’m told.

Still, I can’t help but remember that Attorney General Sessions had wanted to fire McCabe months ago, but back then FBI Director Wray threatened to cause a political s***storm by quitting himself if McCabe was fired.

And that was before we found out about the missing Strzok/Page text messages which continued to be lost on Wray’s watch as well as about the unheeded warnings to the FBI which allowed the Parkland shooter to kill 17.

“Holy cow,” Strzok texted Page on June 12, 2016 — less than a month before the investigation into Clinton’s email server ended. “If the FBI missed this, what else was missed?”

How McConnell and Chao used political power to make their family rich

Peter Schweizer, who delved into the Clinton Foundation’s dealings in 2016’s “Clinton Cash,” has turned his sights to the money-making machinations of DC’s political elite.

His new book, “Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family and Friends,” — due out Tuesday from Harper Collins — exposes how politicians engage in “corruption by proxy” by exploiting family and business ties to enrich themselves and their relatives.

Here, The Post’s Larry Getlen details the book’s revelations on Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, ex-Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker and others:

In 2004, current Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his wife, current US Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, had an average net worth of $3.1 million. Ten years later, that number had increased to somewhere between $9.2 million and $36.5 million.

Politicians Furious after MP Warns Chain Migration Bill Could Bring Germany-style Terrorism, Sex Attacks to UK

A Conservative MP faced furious shouts of “disgrace” during a bid to stop a chain migration bill which he warned is not in the British people’s interests, and was likely to encourage would-be migrants to set out on dangerous trips to Britain.

As Ranil Jayawardena urged MPs to represent the interests of their constituents rather than “virtue signal” over the Refugees (Family Reunion) Bill in the Commons, politicians jeered and howled “shame”, with one Labour figure even expressing disbelief that a non-white MP would support limits on immigration.

Delivering a half hour speech explaining his “doubts” about the Bill, which would allow supposedly underage migrant youths to import large numbers of family members, the North East Hampshire MP referred to terror attacks and mass sexual assaults carried out by asylum seekers in Germany since the migrant crisis began.

“And as a consequence by April 2019 while a majority of Germans would still say refugees were very welcome or quite welcome, a majority were also saying for the first time that their country simply cannot take in any more refugees,” he said.

Some officials wanted Stoneman Douglas suspect Nikolas Cruz committed in 2016, documents show

Some school counselors and officials were so concerned about the mental stability of Nikolas Cruz, accused in last month’s Florida school massacre, that they decided to have him forcibly committed more than a year before the shooting.

However, the recommendation was never acted upon.

Documents in the criminal case against Cruz showed that school officials at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and a sheriff's deputy recommended in September 2016 that Cruz be involuntarily committed for mental evaluation under Florida's Baker Act for at least three days, sources confirmed to Fox News on Sunday.

The documents, part of Cruz's criminal case in the shooting, showed that he had written the word "kill" in a notebook, told a classmate that he wanted to buy a gun and use it, and had cut his arm supposedly in anger because he had broken up with a girlfriend. He also told another student he had drunk gasoline and was throwing up. Calls had even been made to the FBI about the possibility of Cruz using a gun at school.

The Georgia Flood Band Was Spectacular

When we first discussed mixing pool tables with live music I have to admit, I wasn't totally confident the mix would work. Trader Lee's had always been a live music venue. In a sense you might say it was a shot in the dark.

As we have now surpassed several weeks with the combination it has proven to be a huge success. As you can see from the images above, all the pool tables were going at once, people were dancing to the band and everyone was having a blast.

So much so we even opened the back bar to keep up with the volume of people. I've yet to be able to capture a shot of everyone attending but I can assure you, we were overwhelmed with just how many people showed up. By the way, many were from Salisbury.

Just a heads up, we are in the process of adding yet another venue to OC Billiards @ Trader Lee's, aside from the upcoming restaurant. Can you say, air waves! More to come...

Steven Mosher: Peter Schweizer's 'Secret Empires' Exposes China’s ‘Calculated Effort to Buy Influence’ Through Washington Political Elites

China expert Steven Mosher joined Friday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight to discuss the revelations in Peter Schweizer’s new book, Secret Empires: How the American Political Class Hides Corruption and Enriches Family andFriends, concerning the Chinese government’s influence peddling via “sweetheart deals” with family members of prominent American politicians.

Mosher, the president of the Population Research Institute and author of Bully of Asia: Why China’s Dream is the New Threat to World Order, explained how Schweizer’s new book documents a form of “officially sanctioned corruption” that is deeply rooted in Chinese political culture. He detailed how the Chinese regime purchases political influence in America via the cultivation of economic relationships with prominent politicians’ family members, including, as Schweizer’s book reveals, the son of Joe Biden, the father- and sister-in-law of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), and the son-in-law of President Donald Trump.

House GOP will subpoena FBI for missing Hillary Clinton documents

If the FBI does not turn over more than one million missing documents related to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server, House Judiciary Committee chair Bob Goodlatte plans to subpoena the federal spy agency.

“We need to have those documents,” Rep. Goodlatte (R-Va.) told Maria Bartiromo Sunday on “Sunday Morning Futures.” “The department and the bureau have been slow, very slow, in getting them to us.”

Over the course of the last year, Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz has been reviewing the FBI and DOJ’s actions related to its investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server, which haunted her during the 2016 presidential election. Horowitz suggested the report will be made available to lawmakers in April. Horowitz’s team has interviewed dozens of people and reviewed about 1.2 million records during the investigation, but said the classified information involved has slowed the process. So far, Congress has only seen a “tiny percentage” of the texts and documents – 3,000 of 1.2 million that were procured, he said.

Framestore recently set up a commercial for a chocolate bar using a digital recreation of Audrey Hepburn, after her sons approved it.

But some actors don’t want to leave their post-mortem script decisions to chance or their families.

HUD Scraps Controversial Section 8 Bidding Process

Move by agency comes weeks after Free Beacon report on bureaucrats' emails and allegations of bias

The Department of Housing and Urban Development has completely scrapped the bidding process previously underway for contracts to manage the Section 8 program, which provides rental assistance to low-income persons, and will start again from scratch.

The Washington Free Beacon previouslyreported on the Section 8 contracts, including allegations from a long-time contractor who claimed bureaucrats in the agency had been purposefully skewing the process.

At the time of that report, HUD was in the process of taking comments on proposed language for a new bid, but the process has now ground to a complete halt.

"Based on the extensive comments received in response to the draft solicitation, HUD is taking time to perform additional due diligence to ensure all comments and recommendations are considered in developing the final approach to obtaining the services to replace the current PBCA [Performance Based Contracting Award] services," the department said on the FedBizOpps.gov website. "This solicitation is cancelled in its entirety. Future requirements will be initiated through a new solicitation, which is expected to take several more months to develop."

President Donald Trump tweeted Sunday that former FBI Director James Comey “clearly” lied under oath in his testimony before Congress in 2017.

“Wow, watch Comey lie under oath to Senator G,” he tweeted Sunday morning, “When asked ‘have you ever been an anonymous source … or known someone else to be an anonymous source…?’ He said strongly ‘never, no.’ He lied.”

Indeed, it does appear that Comey may have misrepresented the truth during his congressional testimony in 2017. The following is an excerpt from his questioning before Congress:

The secret to winning America’s new civil war

David Kupelian on defeating the totalitarian left and maybe even changing some minds

Many people think Americans are more divided today than at any time since the Civil War – and further, that we are involved in another albeit different sort of “civil war” between two intensely opposed groups of Americans.

If this is true, we are in desperate need of understanding what we’re dealing with and why our beautiful, once-unified nation is being ripped apart – and hopefully reversing course.

There was a time when our nation’s conflicts could be understood through a political lens – liberal versus conservative, Democrat versus Republican. Liberals wanted bigger government and more free stuff, conservatives wanted smaller, less intrusive government, and our nation was a compromise between those two opposing forces. We had a powerful, capitalist, free-market economy, but also a sizable social safety net – and most Americans were happy with that balance.

Such compromise was possible only because, underlying the give and take between liberal and conservative, most Americans were on the same page culturally and religiously: Deep down, pretty much everyone embraced our country’s Judeo-Christian moral foundation.

John Brennan Tweet Confirms Donald Trump's Concerns About Politicized Intelligence

Former CIA Director John Brennan reacted to the firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe — and President Donald Trump’s celebration of it — by tweeting a strident attack against Trump:

You may scapegoat Andy McCabe, but you will not destroy America...America will triumph over you. https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/974859881827258369

The president’s critics seem to like Brennan’s tweet. In fact, it confirmed what Trump has been saying all along: that the senior leadership of the intelligence and federal law enforcement services had become highly politicized.

That impression was only reinforced further by a tweet from former UN Ambassador Samantha Power — whose full role in “unmasking” Americans who appeared in foreign intelligence wiretaps has yet to be exposed:

O'Reilly: Far Left Swayed School Kids in Gun Protests

"What the kids and the American public don't know is that this walk out was put together by a group called 'EMPOWER.' And who are those people? Well, they're tied to the far-left Women's March organization, which as we exposed last week, is tied to [Nation of Islam founder] Louis Farrakhan."

Activists chanted slogans including "The Knesset legislates, the Supreme Court erases," and "The people demand justice for the residents of south Tel-Aviv."

Sheffi Paz, leader of the South Tel-Aviv Liberation Front, said: "For ten years, the Supreme Court has been torpedoing any attempt to deal with the illegal infiltrator issue. For ten years, the Supreme Court has been treating us like dirt in favor of the illegal infiltrators."

Senators suspect Comey lied and plotted to double-cross Trump, seek second special counsel

A plan of action for how a second special counsel can investigate the FBI and Justice Department is spelled out in a point-by-point letter submitted by two Republican senators.

They specifically want to know whether former FBI Director James B. Comey lied to them and had a plan to double-cross President Trump.

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina sent a letter last week to Attorney General Jeff Sessions. They and two other Republicans want a special counsel with the powers of the Trump-Russia probe’s Robert Mueller to investigate suspected Justice Department corruption.

They attached a second letter to Michael E. Horowitz, the Justice Department’s inspector general, outlining all the avenues that need to be navigated — complete with new and expanded accusations. They want an investigation to look at whether Mr. Comey set up Mr. Trump as president-elect.

Mr. Comey visited Mr. Trump for an intelligence briefing at Trump Tower days before he took office. Mr. Comey broke the news about what he called a “salacious and unverified” dossier now known to have been bought by the Democratic Party from its contractor, former British spy Christopher Steele. It told of Mr. Trump supposedly frolicking with prostitutes in Moscow and overseeing Russia’s hacking of Democratic Party computers.

At the moment Mr. Comey called the scintillating dossier “unverified,” the FBI was using it to justify a wiretap on former Trump campaign volunteer Carter Page.

The briefing instantly leaked to CNN, rocking the transition team with a series of unverified dossier accusations. BuzzFeed then posted the 35-page dossier, which remains unconfirmed publicly.

“There is a question as to whether the FBI included the dossier in the briefing, and possibly leaked that it had done so, in order to provide the media a pretext to report on the dossier,” Mr. Grassley and Mr. Graham wrote.

Hillary Clinton Is Sorry You 'Misunderstood' Her Quip About Husbands Forcing Wives To Vote Trump

Spoiler alert: she's not actually sorry she said it, however.

Hillary Clinton said, in a Facebook post Sunday, that she's "sorry" if American women "misinterpreted" a quip she made during an interview in India, suggesting that women only voted for Donald Trump because their husbands, sons, and other men in their lives told them to.
"I understand how some of what I said upset people and can be misinterpreted. I meant no disrespect to any individual or group. And I want to look to the future as much as anybody," Clinton wrote.
