Breaking News: A woman died after being hit by a self-driving Uber car in Tempe, Ariz. It's the first known pedestrian fatality from a driverless vehicle.

The Uber vehicle was in autonomous mode with a human safety driver at the wheel when it struck the woman, who was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk, the Tempe police said in a statement.

    Don't get on an modern jet airplane. They fly themselves. Pilots are there only to assist and takeover in the event of a problem.
