Because NO ONE would ever be so stupid to purchase these bikes, (not even Jakes Good Ol' Boy friends) and believe people will actually rent and ride these God Awful looking bikes, Jake chose to spend YOUR taxpayer money to buy and create a business no one in their right mind would ever start. You download an Ap and rent the bike for $1.00 .
Look, I know you guys must be thinking I just hate Jake Day or that I go on the attack too often but let me assure you, that is not the case. This guy is just an IDIOT who needs to get the hell out of that office and let a real qualified person take over.
"He Never Went In": Officer On Duty Filmed "Doing Nothing" During Florida Shooting
Video evidence reveals that an armed Broward County resource deputy stationed at Stoneman Douglas High School during the Valentine's day massacre did "nothing" during the shooting - instead waiting outside as a gunman opened fire on students and teachers, killing 17.
Speaking at a press conference, Broward Sheriff Scott Israel said the on duty officer at Stoneman "never went in." Israel said he was "devastated" after watching the video showing the deputy taking a position outside the Western side of Building 12 while shots rang out, "and he never went in" despite having a clear view of the entrance.
"I think he remained outside upwards of four minutes," Israel said.
The uniformed officer, identified as Scot Peterson, was been suspended without pay pending an investigation, according to Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel - however he has since resigned and retired from the department.
"As is his right, Scot Peterson chose to resign, because he has the necessary time with the agency and meets the requirements of retirement, he resigned and retired."
"We're not going to disclose the video at this time, and we may never disclose the video depending on the prosecution and the criminal case."
"These families lost their children, we lost coaches. I've been to the funerals. I've been to the homes where they're sitting shiva. I've been to the vigils. It's just, there are no words."
When asked by a reporter what the deputy should have done, the Sheriff replied "Went in. Address the killer. Kill the killer."

Citizens Request Injunction to stop Illegal Groundwater Withdrawal by Accomack Poultry Houses
(Pungoteague, Virginia) In a February 15, 2018 letter to David Paylor, director of the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (“DEQ”), a loosely formed coalition of five citizens from the Eastern Shore of Virginia counties of Accomack and Northampton urged the department to consider placing an injunction on the 83 poultry Care and Feeding Operations (CAFO’s) because they failed to get groundwater withdrawal permits.
Over the last several years, approximately 250-270 large broiler houses, some having the capacity to house 48,000 birds every 43 days, have been constructed or are under construction or in the planning stages in Accomack County.
The Eastern Shore of Virginia draws the majority of its drinking water from the Yorktown aquifer…the same source that is being used or proposed to be used by the CAFOs. Any prospective user who intends to withdraw over 300,000 gallons of groundwater per month in a groundwater management area is required BY LAW to first apply for and receive a permit to do so from the State Water Control Board, a citizen panel appointed by the Governor and a political arm of the DEQ.

Governor O'Malley, Why Didn't You Listen To Me? Perhaps Hogan Will.
On December 22, 2012 I sent this post to Governor O'Malley.
If They Can Have A Safe Room At A Fire Station, Why Not ALL Schools?
I had this thought today I thought I'd share with all of you.Have you ever been to the new Fire Station 16 at night?
The only way you can access the building is to enter a "SAFE ROOM". The Safe Room doors lock behind you. Once you are in there you have to be buzzed in or out. The room has bullet proof glass.
IF they can provide this for a Fire Department, why haven't they been installed in every School across America?
I've added the above image to go along with a comment I recently put up on this Post. The door knob simply disappears when locked.
Pittbull Attack In Delmar
A Viewer informs us the victim experienced face lacerations, severed finger, broken wrists, paramedic and ambulance response. My concern is children in the neighborhood after this with no record of aggression. It happened on North Umberland Drive, Delmar MD.
Pittsville Accident Scene Turns Into Confrontation With Off Duty Police Officer
Fire Department responders arrived on the scene and immediately called out for a police agency to respond to the scene. According to the scanner, an off duty police officer was involved in a physical altercation with the driver of the wrecked vehicle. For several minutes responders continued to call for police backup and were told by dispatch that none were available and that a State Trooper would be responding to Pittsville from Mardela. Responders immediately asked if they could send a trooper from Berlin. Rt. 50 East bound has been closed, expect delays. The patient is being transported as a priority 3 patient. Everything is now under control. The State Trooper that came from Mardela is following the ambulance to PRMC and has requested another Officer to respond to the accident scene. More to come.
UPDATE: The State Trooper that was following the ambulance to PRMC has now been forced to return to the scene in Pittsville because there are NO Police Officers available. Can someone please tell me just where in the hell ALL the Police Officers are on the Eastern Shore at this time? No one from the WCSO is available as well. This is absolutely incredible.

Would it be rude and insensitive to state I am tired of hearing about this? 17 kids got murdered in their school. Terrible. Tragic. All the bad adjectives.
More people than that are killed every day. 4 times as many are killed with knives than with ANY rifle. Talk is cheap, laws are useless.
People wanted freedom FROM religion instead of freedom OF religion. Everything has to be PC. Free speech, free speech, free speech. With no repercussions.
No discipline for kids. Heck, most times only one parent in the house with kids. Racism this, racism that. You hurt my feelings. I am right, you are wrong.
We kicked God out of schools (and just about everything else) what did you think would take His place?
You want people to be kind? Be kind to people, even when they are NOT kind to you. THAT would be real change. And change everyone will benefit from.
Too simple right? No. Too hard, which is why most will not do it.
And the killings will continue.

Gun control is a fantasy. Start a realistic conversation about preventing school massacres
The shooter who perpetrated the recent massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High in Parkland, Fla., succeeded in killing 17 people. He also got Americans talking about gun control again.
Once again, too, there were those whose contribution to debate was to sneer at people who offered prayers for the victims and their families, instead of advocating or promising gun control. Even if you set aside the sneers, there is a problem with their attitude, no matter how good their intentions are otherwise. Prayer might actually help. Gun control, on the other hand, doesn't work and can't work in the U.S. and is a fantasy now just as it ever was.
By "fantasy," we mean to express several important facts that are ignored in this debate. It is fantasy as policy because stricter gun control, within the limits of what is considered reasonable today (i.e., anything short of a total ban on sales or even gun confiscation), does not guarantee or even statistically correlate with lower gun homicide rates in any given state. This fact merits your time for some research, but to give just one prominent example from the FBI data, Texas and California have comparable gun homicide rates each year (they were actually tied in 2015). If gun control were effective, that is not what you'd expect in the nation's two most populous states with two of the most different gun policies. And that is by no means the only observation of its kind that you'll take away from the FBI's annual numbers.

How To Kill 300,000 Americans (And Get Away With It)
If someone wanted to kill 300,000 Americans and get away with it, they could not have accomplished it more effectively than our government has accomplished it with the opioid epidemic.
If someone— let's say good old Uncle Sam—wanted to kill 300,000 Americans, they would go about it as detailed in this step-by-step guide. This also just so happens to be precisely how our government did go about it.
Step 1 – In 1996, Uncle Sam would award a 17-year government patent monopoly to Purdue Pharma to be the exclusive supplier of OxyContin, an addictive and potentially deadly opioid painkiller. This would ensure that they had a massive multi-billion-dollar profit incentive to get as many people addicted as possible without any generic competition to keep this profit motive in check.
Step 2 – To further fuel the use of OxyContin, Uncle Sam would cover the cost of it through Medicaid and Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). This would ensure that there were billions of dollars available to fund the purchase of massive quantities of the addictive and potentially deadly substance.
Step 3- For further assurance more people become dependent on opioids, Uncle Sam would enact growth-retardant public policies such as mountains of regulation and exorbitant taxation, exacerbating the link between depression, poverty, and opioid dependence.
Step 4 – Uncle Sam would make pain the “fifth vital sign” and financially penalize any hospital that got poor reviews or ratings for not adequately treating pain, encouraging hospitals to hand out opioids like candy.
Step 5 – Uncle Sam would ban medical marijuana, depriving those in pain of a viable non-opioid alternative.
Step 6 – Uncle Sam would allow doctors to be sued for medical malpractice for not adequately treating pain, ensuring they prescribed even more opioids.
Step 7 – Uncle Sam would then move many opioid painkillers to Schedule 2, which would prohibit refills. This would ensure that doctors prescribed a 30-day supply for patients that needed a 3-days’ supply, just to “keep the patient from having to come back to get a new prescription if they need it.”
Step 8 – Uncle Sam would then allow the profit motive of the patent monopoly, the free money of Medicaid and SSDI, the “fifth vital sign,” and the fear of being sued for medical malpractice to continue to fuel an increase in OxyContin prescriptions until the year 2010, leaving many millions of Americans addicted to opioids.

Police: Pittsburgh Lawyer Sexually Abused Dog Multiple Times
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A prominent Pittsburgh attorney has been charged with dozens of counts of sexually abusing his dog.
Attorney Ivan DeVoren is accused of sexually abusing his dog.
Police have charged DeVoren, a Pittsburgh environmental lawyer, with 10 felony counts of aggravated animal cruelty, 10 counts of sexual intercourse with an animal, and possession of heroin, cocaine and marijuana.
Police say DeVoren sexually abused his dog, Snoopy, a 6-month-old yellow lab. DeVoren lives and works in his apartment in Azimuth Court in Highland Park.
According to detectives, a witness told them they overheard the sexual abuse happening at least 10 times.
Back in 2014, DeVoren spent five months volunteering at Humane Animal Rescue as a dog walker.
“What our dog walkers do is they work on a team, getting our shelter animals out for walks around the shelter. So, it’s usually about a 10–15 minute walk that our volunteers do as a team,” said Dan Rossi, Humane Animal Rescue CEO.

China Demands ‘Severe Punishment’ for American Who Vandalized 2,000-Year-Old Statue
China’s Shaanxi Cultural Heritage Promotion Center is demanding the United States “severely punish” a man who allegedly defaced an ancient terracotta warrior statue while it was on display at the Franklin Institute museum in Philadelphia.
The accused, Michael Rohana, is 24. The terracotta warrior, considered one of the most important archaeological discoveries in China, is about 2,200 years old and worth an estimated $4.5 million.
According to court documents, Rohana was at the Franklin Institute for an “ugly sweater” party on December 21 when he wandered into the terracotta warrior exhibit, took a few selfies alongside the statue, and then apparently broke off its thumb and pocketed it as a souvenir. After museum staff reported the thumb missing, the FBI tracked Rohana down to his home in Delaware. He admitted the theft and retrieved the broken thumb from his desk drawer when an FBI agent interviewed him.
CNN notes that one of the other attendees at the ugly sweater party stated that Rohana was “bragging about sneaking into the exhibit and having a thumb from one of the warriors” during the ride home to Delaware.

Breaking News: A sheriff's deputy who was the only armed guard during the Florida school shooting did "nothing" to stop it, the police said. He has resigned.
Scot Peterson, a sheriff’s deputy, resigned on Thursday after Sheriff Scott Israel placed him under an internal affairs investigation for failing to meet the standards of the sheriff’s office. Two other deputies, Edward Eason and Guntis Treijs, have been placed on restricted duty while the department investigates whether they could or should have done more to stop the shooter.
Police protocol requires confronting shooting suspects as quickly as possible. Mr. Peterson should have “went in, addressed the killer, killed the killer,” Sheriff Israel said at a news conference in in Fort Lauderdale.

I think it was last year they canceled the concert because they were fighting. This year is seems that entertainer Gucci Mane (who ever that is) only played 20 minutes. I think tickets to get into the concert were 40 bucks. Check out twitter. At the top right where there is a blue TWEET button .......to the left of that is the search options. Just type in #UMES and you can search all the tweets from last night. A few were not happy with the length of the concert. Take some aspirin first so you can avoid the headache of trying to read what they are trying to say.
Four Deputies Waited Outside Douglas High During School Shooting
A report released Friday claims four of Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel’s deputies waited outside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School while the attack was occurring.
On February 22, Breitbart News reported that one deputy resigned after it was learned that he was on scene but failed to control Nikolas Cruz. Sheriff Israel told ABC 13 that video shows the deputy, Scott Peterson, “arrive at the west side of Building 12” and “take a position” outside the school — but never go inside. The sheriff’s office moved to suspend Peterson, who resigned before the suspension could take place.
Now CNN reports that the Coral Springs police officers claim three other Broward County deputies were outside the school but failed to go inside as well. They quote “Coral Springs sources” who said the three “deputies had their pistols drawn and were behind their vehicles” when Coral Springs officers arrived. They said “not one of [the deputies] had gone into the school.”
The sources indicate other Broward County deputies arrived on scene, and two of those new arrivals joined with Coral Springs officers and entered the building.
The sources said, “Coral Springs police were stunned and upset that the four original Broward County Sheriff’s deputies who were first on the scene did not appear to join them as they entered the school.”

Plain Truth: We Need Concealed-Carry in Schools - 'Bashing the NRA Isn't Going to Do It'
EIB Network radio host Rush Limbaugh reacted to the tragic school shooting in Broward County, Fla. that left 17 dead and several wounded.
Limbaugh said the solution is not to attack gun rights groups like the Virginia-based National Rifle Association, but instead to recognize what resources are lacking in schools that other public buildings have.

Local Police Let Florida Shooter Off The Hook When He Said He Was "Going To Get His Gun"
CNN's FOIA of Broward County 911 records has produced a steady stream of scoops about Parkland, Fla. school shooter Nikolas Cruz fleshing out much of what is publicly known about Cruz's background and the various reports made warning the FBI and other authorities about his threatening behavior.
The report draws on one specific incident that unfolded in the immediate aftermath of Cruz's mother's death, when Cruz and his brother Zachary Cruz were living in Palm Beach County with Rocxanne Deschamps, a former neighbor who had been close to the family.
After one particularly violent outburst, Cruz said he was going to Dick's to pick up the AR-15 he had recently paid for, and that he would come back to attack her.
