Much of the national debate over racism in the aftermath of last month’s mass murder in Charleston, S.C., has focused on the South and its strange and sometimes jarring nostalgia for the Confederacy. And yet tucked away in the Pacific Northwest of the United States is a vicious group that most people have never heard of but the nation’s most virulent online racists know well (among them, accused South Carolina murderer Dylann Roof, who wrote about the group in his now-infamous “manifesto”).
The group is called the Northwest Front and its final solution to the race "problem," if you will, is to expel non-white people from the Pacific Northwest and to establish a mono-racial republic there.
Racism knows no region, it’s safe to say. While the Pacific Northwest can abstain from the debate on the removal of traitorous colors from the Capitol grounds—Oregon was the last state in the Union before the Civil War’s outbreak, after all—the region bears a racial legacy tinted by an ignorance, a decades-old vision of minority-free lands, as stark as any in the United States.

America’s Trump Card Trumping the Left
Catching bits of the news, my wife asked, “Did Donald Trump say something against Mexicans?” I replied, “No, Trump simply dared to state statistical facts exposing the high criminal element among the illegals flooding across our border.” I’ve read horrific articles about the torture, rape and murder of Mexican women and children during their illegal journey to America ; not to mention the gang members and other bad people invading our homeland. The probability of getting raped is so high crossing the border illegally women take birth control.
And yet, Trump was not suppose to alert the American people. The Left immediately went into attack and destroy mode – trying to brand Trump a hater of Mexicans.
The Left had a cow when Trump stated the truth because welcoming illegals, regardless of the caliber, is how the Left restocks the Democratic Party with new uneducated and unskilled future voters who will be dependent on government and vote for Democrats who promise more freebies.

Family Of Fallen Officer Wants Jury To Hold Police Responsible
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Shot 20 times by fellow officers. Now the family of a Baltimore City police officer asks a jury to hold the police department responsible for his death.
Derek Valcourt spoke with family members of the fallen officer about the justice they are seeking.
Attorneys for the family of the fallen officer are trying to convince the jury that the officers who shot him acted recklessly. The other side is trying to convince the jury that despite the tragic results, officers followed their training and were only trying to save lives.

Conservatives, Quit Defending Trump
Mexican immigrants should be welcomed. Donald Trump’s outrageous comments about Mexican immigrants in his announcement speech two weeks ago should have been an occasion for conservatives to say that we have no room for bigots in our midst. Instead, a host of conservatives, from Ted Cruz to National Review’s own Rich Lowry, have defended his message, if not the crude way he expressed it: When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best . . . They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us [sic]. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.
In his column, under the title “Sorry, Donald Trump Has a Point,” Lowry avers that Trump’s “instantly notorious comments . . . did more to insult than illuminate” — but, he says, “there was a kernel in them that hit on an important truth that typical politicians either don’t know or simply fear to speak.”

GOP REP. SLATED TO INTRODUCE LEGISLATION TARGETING SANCTUARY CITIES
Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) will again introduce legislation targeting sanctuary cities, Breitbart News has learned.
Hunter’s bill would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act to restrict funding to any state or locality that has in place a law, policy or procedure in contravention of federal immigration law, preventing “state or local law enforcement officials from gathering information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual.”
The legislation would make those cities with sanctuary policies or laws in place ineligible for State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) funding. SCAAP reimburses states and localities for the cost of holding illegal immigrants convicted of crimes.
“States and cities that refuse to enforce federal immigration laws directly undermine enforcement efforts and — as recent events have shown — present a real danger to citizens,” Hunter said in a statement to Breitbart News.

Excessive use of computer games among young people in China appears to be taking an alarming turn and may have particular relevance for American parents whose children spend many hours a day focused on electronic screens. The documentary “Web Junkie,” to be shown next Monday on PBS, highlights the tragic effects on teenagers who become hooked on video games, playing for dozens of hours at a time often without breaks to eat, sleep or even use the bathroom. Many come to view the real world as fake.
Chinese doctors consider this phenomenon a clinical disorder and have established rehabilitation centers where afflicted youngsters are confined for months of sometimes draconian therapy, completely isolated from all media, the effectiveness of which remains to be demonstrated.
While Internet addiction is not yet considered a clinical diagnosis here, there’s no question that American youths are plugged in and tuned out of “live” action for many more hours of the day than experts consider healthy for normal development. And it starts early, often with preverbal toddlers handed their parents’ cellphones and tablets to entertain themselves when they should be observing the world around them and interacting with their caregivers.
In its 2013 policy statement on “Children, Adolescents, and the Media,” the American Academy of Pediatrics cited these shocking statistics from a Kaiser Family Foundation study in 2010: “The average 8- to 10-year-old spends nearly eight hours a day with a variety of different media, and older children and teenagers spend more than 11 hours per day.” Television, long a popular “babysitter,” remains the dominant medium, but computers, tablets and cellphones are gradually taking over.

‘These Veterans Deserve More Respect’: A ‘Hurtful’ Walk Through a Historic Black Cemetery
A historic Grand Prairie, Texas, cemetery where honorable black U.S. military veterans — and even slaves — are buried looks almost as if it has been forgotten. The gravestones are littered with trash and covered by untrimmed grass.
Angela Luckey, who has several family members buried at the American Memorial Park cemetery, said the “part that hurts the most” is when people, like herself, have trouble even finding their loved ones’ graves due to the severe neglect of the grounds.
The military veterans, some who served in Vietnam, World War I and World War II, and other people buried at the cemetery deserve more respect than they are getting, she told Blaze TV contributor Lawrence Jones.
“We have complained for years and years, and it just seems as though that it continues to go on deaf ears,” she added. “Nobody cares about the people out here that are buried.”

Following the shooting, activists across the country called for the removal of what they considered racist symbols from government property. The Confederate battle flag and public parks named for Confederate leaders were criticized.
The Emmitsburg statue, erected in 1927, is one of many across the U.S. designed by E.M. Viquesney, a well-known American sculptor of doughboy images. It features a plaque that names about 125 WWI veterans from Emmitsburg, three of whom, Albert Beatty, Ward P. Brown and Charles Edward Butler, appear under a separate heading for “colored soldiers.”

CDC Official Called Obama ‘Marxist,’ ‘Amateur’ Over 2014 Border Surge
A federal health official dealing with the surge of illegal immigrants last year at the southern U.S. border ripped President Obama for the months-long crisis, calling him a "Marxist" and “the worst pres we have ever had,” according to newly released internal emails.
The emails, obtained and published by the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, show a June 9, 2014, exchange between Centers for Disease Control and Prevention logistics specialist George Roark and agency public health adviser William Adams.
Roark begins by writing: “Unreal, no country in the world would allow this.”
Adams responds: “Well, in ten years or less, they’ll all be voting … Commander’s intent …”
Roark concludes: "It is very clear that is the case. This fellow is the worst pres we have ever had. He truly is ‘the amateur’ but a Marxist, too.”

Judge awards nearly $230,000 to woman who got 153 robocalls
NEW YORK (AP) — It wasn’t a robocall, but a federal judge left a message anyway for companies Tuesday when he awarded nearly $230,000 to a Texas woman, finding that a cable company crossed the line when it harassed her with 153 robocalls even after she complained about the wrong numbers.
U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein in Manhattan ordered Time Warner Cable Inc. to make the $229,500 payment to Araceli King of Irving, Texas, citing the New York-based company’s “particularly egregious” behavior as it violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991.
King sued last year, saying she had repeatedly asked the company to stop making the calls.

BALTIMORE (AP) — Rep. Elijah Cummings is calling on Maryland leaders to negotiate lower prices for a heroin overdose antidote to ensure first responders have the drug at hand when they need it.
In a letter to Gov. Larry Hogan, Lt. Gov. Boyd Rutherford and Attorney General Brian Frosh on Tuesday, Cummings writes that prices for naloxone, a drug used to reverse opioid overdoses, have skyrocketed in recent months and he believes the state is being overcharged. Cummings, a Democrat, writes that the spike coincides with an increase in heroin overdose deaths and he urges them to negotiate lower prices for the drug.

Salisbury man, previously convicted, pleads guilty to distribution of child pornography
BALTIMORE — David C. Andrews, age 52, of Salisbury, pleaded guilty July 8 to distribution of child pornography.
The guilty plea was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein; Acting Special Agent in Charge Ivan Arvelo of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI); and Worcester County Sheriff Reggie T. Mason, Sr.; Colonel William M. Pallozzi, Superintendent of the Maryland State Police; Wicomico County Sheriff Michael A. Lewis; and Wicomico County State’s Attorney Matthew Maciarello.
According to Andrews’ plea agreement, between May 28 and July 12, 2010, Andrews made files depicting children engaged in sexually explicit conduct available to others through a file sharing program installed on his computer. On July 17, 2010, a Wicomico County Sheriff’s detective working on undercover investigations of individuals trafficking child pornography through the use of file sharing programs was able to download child pornography being shared using the internet account at Andrews’ residence. A search warrant was executed at Andrews’ home and law enforcement located Andrews’ computer which contained 49 images and approximately 160 video segments of child pornography. Andrews admitted that he collected and shared child pornography over the internet, including the video downloaded by the detective. On October 12, 2011, Andrews pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography in Wicomico County Circuit Court. The charge for possession of child pornography with intent to distribute was dropped.

Why didn’t they learn from previous “moral improvement” movements that if one wants to change culture, one must first change individuals? For evangelical Christians that can only be done by the transformation of the heart, soul and mind, something that is beyond the power of secular — or even religious — politicians.

PARKVILLE MAN ARRESTED FOR DUI AFTER FLIPPING VEHICLE
On July 5, 2015 at approximately 1:15 a.m., Ocean City police responded to the area of 21st Street and Baltimore Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle collision. A vehicle struck two parked cars along Baltimore Avenue before it struck a curb and rolled onto its roof on the median strip. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Raymond S. Dashiell, 21, of Parkville, MD, was later arrested after failing to complete a series of field sobriety tests.
Ocean City police have charged Dashiell with numerous traffic offenses including driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving. Dashiell was seen by a Maryland District Court Commissioner and released on personal recognizance.

Police Deny Brutal Beating of White Man by Black Mob Was Racially Motivated
New video out of Cincinnati shows a black mob viciously beating and choking a white man, but police have distanced themselves from an initial explanation that the incident was an “anti-white” attack.
A police report initially stated that the incident was being treated as an “anti-white” racial attack, but Capt. Mike Neville subsequently backed off that explanation, asserting that the beating was not a racial attack.
The altercation began in Fountain Square on Saturday night at around 11pm shortly after a music concert and 4th of July fireworks.
The video shows several black teens punching and choking 27-year-old Christopher McKnight, while another individual wearing a red t-shirt appears to be attempting to deter the attackers.
McKnight suffered serious internal injuries and was taken to hospital. Riot police later arrived on the scene and arrested seven young men. Two officers and a bystander were injured during the unrest.

Many forms of personal liberty are under attack today, from economic regulations that hinder people from their peaceful pursuits of earning a living and improving the material conditions of life to an increasingly intrusive surveillance state that seems to follow every step we make and every breath we take.

Minnesota Fireman Suspended for Flying Confederate Flag from Fire Truck in City July 4th Parade
A fireman in Minnesota has been suspended from his job for affixing a Confederate flag to the back of a fire truck during the city’s Independence Day parade.
Brian Nielsen, a volunteer firefighter in the town of Hartland, added a Confederate flag to the back of his fire truck and flew it during the city’s parade this year. But his bosses weren’t happy at all.
He said he was demonstrating against political correctness when he flew the flag at Friday’s parade in Albert Lea. But as Nina Moini reports, he got a stronger reaction than he ever expected.
…Many people in this city of 300 told WCCO they support Nielsen, a volunteer fireman for the last 10 years in a city that has only 18. Some parade watchers were offended.

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County Police have arrested a corrections officer they say tried to rape a pre-trial services inmate on a work detail.
Thirty-two-year-old Jereme Simmons of Laurel was arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted second-degree rape and other offenses.
Police say last month, Simmons, an officer with the county Department of Corrections, was overseeing pre-trial inmates at a work detail at a state warehouse. Authorities say one of the inmates was a woman who was not incarcerated but under supervision to complete community service.

As we celebrate our independence this weekend, we probably also should mourn it. No, we aren’t reverting back to British subjects, but we are becoming subjects again. There is a new hierarchy dominating much of our discourse and social interaction that creates a coveted status for victims. When once we declared our independence because of oppression, now being “oppressed” is a sought-after status.
You’d think the Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage that advocates so desperately wanted would have brought about some semblance of closure or calm, at least temporarily, to those who celebrated it. You’d be wrong.
Victimhood, which people used to fight against, is now a coveted position in society. When that status is lifted, even in a way progressive advocates want, the threat of losing that sought-after position is met with a desperate scramble of reclamation.
The Washington Post ran a piece this week by a gay rights advocate excoriating not only those who support traditional marriage, but allies who celebrated the Supreme Court ruling right alongside him.

Over the past six years, Colorado has conducted one of the largest ever real-life experiments with long-acting birth control. If teenagers and poor women were offered free intrauterine devices and implants that prevent pregnancy for years, state officials asked, would those women choose them?
They did in a big way, and the results were startling. The birthrate for teenagers across the state plunged by 40 percent from 2009 to 2013, while their rate of abortions fell by 42 percent, according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. There was a similar decline in births for another group particularly vulnerable to unplanned pregnancies: unmarried women under 25 who have not finished high school.
“Our demographer came into my office with a chart and said, ‘Greta, look at this, we’ve never seen this before,’ ” said Greta Klingler, the family planning supervisor for the public health department. “The numbers were plummeting.”
The changes were particularly pronounced in the poorest areas of the state, places like Walsenburg, a small city in Southern Colorado where jobs are scarce and unplanned births come often to the young. Hope Martinez, a 20-year-old nursing home receptionist here, recently had a small rod implanted under the skin of her upper arm to prevent pregnancy for three years. She has big plans — to marry, to move West, and to become a dental hygienist.

In a series of tweets that began June 26, nine days after white racist Dylann Roof gunned down nine African Americans in a Charleston, S.C., church, Robinson wrote that “whiteness is most certainly and inevitably terror” and said she expected to see “thinkpieces about how more mental health services could prevent white people from acting how they are conditioned to act.”
Officials at Rhodes College announced Robinson's hiring last week, and praised her for her "provocative" comments, some of which were first reported by the website SoCawlege.

Baltimore County Police have charged a Westminster man after they found he had taken photographs and videos under women's skirts and dresses on multiple occasions at a York Road Safeway.
On June 1 at 4:22 p.m. Baltimore County Police responded to a Safeway store in the 1000 block of York Road 21204 and met with the store manager. The store manager told police that over the past few weeks, a male had been coming into the store, following female customers, and taking pictures up their dresses or skirts.
Police found that that same afternoon a man had entered the store carrying a cell phone in his hand. He was seen walking past a woman, holding his cell phone between her legs and walking away and got into an orange Jeep Wrangler.

O'Reilly: Pass Law to Imprison Repeat Illegal Immigrants
An incensed Bill O'Reilly called on Congress to pass a law to give illegal immigrants five years in prison if they return to the United States after being previously deported.
O'Reilly was angry over the shooting death on Wednesday of Kathryn Steinle in San Francisco. Francisco Sanchez, an illegal Mexican immigrant with five previous deportations and seven felonies on his record, confessed to the shooting to a TV crew and has been charged with murder.
"The fact that a felon could be deported five times and still be walking around San Francisco should shame Congress, shame it," O'Reilly said Monday on Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor."
Where is a law that says if you are deported one time and come back, you serve five years in prison? Where is that law?" O'Reilly asked. "Congress should pass it and if President [Barack] Obama doesn't sign it, everything will be on the table. It will be on him."
O'Reilly said he is looking for people in Congress who have courage enough to sponsor the law.
"Who will do it? Please let me know directly," he said. "Are you out there? Are you out there?"
He said he is "disgusted with the cowardice of our elected officials from the crazy-left San Francisco people to the president to the Congress. Most of them are rich folks who could not care less about the violence and chaos, out-of-control criminal activity south of the border is creating in this country."

Local governments are continuing to review all the expenses laid out to help the city during the protests and riots following the death of Freddie Gray.
The Maryland State Police tell WBAL NewsRadio 1090 that from the time the State of Emergency was declared it cost that agency $2.5 million for overtime, equipment, etc.

The July 2 letter is addressed to megadonor Haim Saban and the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations. It discusses the decade-old Boycott, Divestment and Sanction movement (BDS.)
"I know you agree that we need to make countering BDS a priority," Clinton writes as she asks for help working "across party lines" to "fight back against further attempts to isolate and delegitimize Israel."
She says the BDS "seeks to punish Israel and dictate how the Israelis and Palestinians should resolve the core issues of their conflict. This is not the path to peace."
The BDS was begun by Palestinian activists with the aim of putting economic pressure on Israel in the Palestinian-Israeli two-state talks.

SAN FRANCISCO -- A law enforcement official says the gun used in the slaying of a woman on a San Francisco pier belonged to a federal agent.
The official who was briefed on the matter says a police check of the weapon's serial number shows it belonged to a federal agent. The official was not authorized to speak publicly about the case and spoke on condition of anonymity. The official declined to elaborate further.
Juan Francisco Lopez Sanchez, the man charged with killing the woman, pleaded not guilty to murder charges during his arraignment on Tuesday.

Ex-CNN Anchor To Gun Controllers: 'Shut The ---- Up'
Lynne Russell, a former CNN anchor who worked for the cable network between 1983 and 2001 – and who was attacked by an armed felon during a trip with her husband – issued a sharp rebuke against those who want to control Americans’ access to guns: “Shut the f— up,” she said, to a local television station.
Russell and her husband, former CNN reporter Chuck de Caro, were recently attacked by an armed man, Tomorio Watson, who approached them in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at their Motel 6 room. Tomorio reportedly held a gun to Russell’s head and forced her into the hotel room, and demanded she and her husband give up their possessions. He then began shooting at de Caro, a former Green Beret. De Caro was hit three times but pulled his own gun and shot Tomorio, killing him.

Donald Trump doubled down on his controversial comments about illegal immigration from Mexico on Monday, saying that "infectious disease is pouring across the border."
Trump issued a lengthy — nearly 900 word — statement invoking the death of a San Francisco woman shot and killed last week by a suspect who had previously been deported to Mexico five times.
"This is merely one of thousands of similar incidents throughout the United States," Trump said Monday. "In other words, the worst elements in Mexico are being pushed into the United States by the Mexican government."
The 2016 Republican presidential candidate said that Mexican drug cartels are using immigrants to smuggle heroin, cocaine and other illicit drugs into the United States.
"The Border Patrol knows this. Likewise, tremendous infectious disease is pouring across the border," Trump continued.
His latest comments come nearly three weeks after he made remarks at his White House campaign launch that led to an intense public backlash from business and Latino groups.

Speed Camera Company Xerox spent approximately $245,000 during this period to three lobbying companies. Lobbyists from the firm Harris Jones & Malone was paid $55,000. $90,000 was paid to Gerard Evan LTD. Another $100,720 was paid to law firm Alexander and Cleaver to conduct lobbying.
(By odd coincidence, Alexander & Cleaver was also the law firm which represented the Town of Morningside in a dispute over access to public records filed by the editor of this website. Bipartisan Medical Efficacy of Marijuana Amendment Introduced in House
Amendment to 21st Century Cures Bill Would Encourage Marijuana Research
WASHINGTON, DC, Republican Congressmen H. Morgan Griffith (VA-09), and Andy Harris, M.D., (MD-01), and Democratic Congressmen Sam Farr (CA-20), and Earl Blumenauer (OR-03) introduced the “Credible Research on Medical Efficacy of Marijuana Amendment” to the 21st Century Cures Act. The 21st Century Cures Act, or H.R. 6, is currently scheduled to be considered on the House floor this week.
The amendment focuses on removing barriers that inhibit research on marijuana. This amendment encourages the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to work with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to initiate and collaborate on research about the medical risks and benefits of marijuana. This does not change marijuana from a Schedule 1 drug, but does create a new subclassification within Schedule 1 – “Schedule 1R” for marijuana that would make research easier to conduct.
“There has been little research into potential therapeutic benefits and risks of medical marijuana use. In many cases, research into specific relief it provides, how it can best be used, etc. has been obstructed by federal obstacles. This amendment is a responsible approach to increasing research and pursuing the answers to questions being asked by so many patients, doctors, researchers, and policy makers about medicinal marijuana,” said Congressman Griffith.
“Our drug policy should be based on sound science, which is sorely lacking on the medical efficacy of marijuana. We need science to clearly determine whether marijuana has medicinal benefits and if so, what is the best way to gain those benefits. This amendment encourages more research and more collaboration in the study of marijuana by removing barriers currently in place,” said Dr. Harris.
“Given the widespread use of medical marijuana, it is imperative that doctors better understand how it can be used to treat different people and conditions, as well as the risks involved. Our amendment shows members of Congress with widely varying views on marijuana policy are united in support of building a robust body of scientific information on medical marijuana.” said Congressman Blumenauer.
“As more and more states pass medical marijuana laws, it is clear the federal government needs to rethink our federal policy. Both sides of this issue agree that debate needs to be centered on science and not rhetoric. Allowing research to occur will give policymakers the information necessary to determine the proper role of medical marijuana in our country,” said Congressman Farr.
The 21st Century Cures Act was passed by the House Energy and Commerce Committee and will take bold action to accelerate the discovery, development, and delivery of promising new treatments and cures for patients, as well as maintains our nation’s standing as the biomedical innovation capital of the world.
The 21st Century Cures Act included several provisions written by Congressman Harris. These provisions focus on more funding for young scientists during their peak age of discovery, increasing investments in high-risk high-reward projects, and increasing efficiency and accountability at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

It had about as much news as you would expect, which is to say none. The obvious questions were asked, but not in a manner or with follow-ups acute enough to nail Hillary on anything. She blamed her eroding trust numbers on a vast right-wing conspiracy, including a book written by an author who admits that he doesn’t have evidence (she didn’t complete the thought — Peter Schweizer has said he doesn’t have evidence…of a specific crime). She said she has gone above and beyond in adhering to the rules on her records, and wasn’t pressed on her failure, for example, to provide the Blumenthal emails. And besides that, she’s proud of the work of the Clinton Foundation and really doesn’t like Trump’s comments on immigration.

Audit finds Maryland owes $34 million for Medicaid claims
A federal inspector general has found that Maryland incorrectly billed Medicaid for services for the developmentally disabled in hundreds of thousands of cases and that the state owes the U.S. government more than $34 million, according to an audit to be released Tuesday.
The probe, by the inspector general of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, found the state did not ensure beneficiaries met requirements for "add-on" services — such as physical therapy or overnight, in-home help — and allowed many who did not qualify to receive the assistance.
The audit, a copy of which was obtained by The Baltimore Sun, is the second to hit the state's Developmental Disabilities Administration in recent years. In 2013, the office found Maryland routinely billed the federal government for room-and-board costs that were ineligible.
"The state … did not always comply with federal requirements," the auditors wrote in the most recent report, which covers a three-year period starting in 2010. In fact, state officials believed that a requirement limiting services to those most in need was in error, and so they ignored it, according to the audit.

In most places, you can still buy cigarettes if you're 18. Last month, however, Hawaii became the first state to raise the minimum age for tobacco purchases to 21. The California Senate has passed similar legislation, while a handful of states have raised the age to 19.
