FOX NEWS EXCLUSIVE: Cable Warned Of Threat Of Consulate Attack

The US Mission in Benghazi convened an 'emergency meeting' less than a month before the assault that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, because the consulate could not defend against a 'coordinated attack,' according to a classified cable reviewed by Fox News.

PRO-ASSAD FACEBOOK PAGE CLAIMS ‘HEROIC’ IRANIAN REGIME ORCHESTRATED HURRICANE SANDY

In the wake of the devastating hurricane that left the financial capital of the United States in chaos, many are trying to figure out what happened, and how we could have been better prepared.  Was global warming a factor?  Should we have had some extra food and water to avoid the horrible sight of empty store shelves?
According to Syrian Army News, a pro-Assad Syrian Facebook page, there was actually little we could have done.  Why?  Little did we know, they say, but Hurricane Sandy was actually a terrorist attack.
Yes, Assad supporters within the Syrian government are claiming a collection of brilliant scientists from the “heroic” Iranian regime used “highly advanced” technology to control the elements.  Needless to say, the Assad supporters are claiming Syrian scientists helped out, as well.

PETA WANTS ROADSIDE MEMORIAL FOR FISH KILLED IN CAR CRASH ON WAY TO MARKET

Animal activists want a California roadside memorial sign to honor fish killed during a container truck crash.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals volunteer Dina Kourda told Irvine’s street maintenance chief the sign would remind drivers that fish value their lives and feel pain.
About 1,600 pounds of saltwater bass died on Oct. 11 when the truck hauling them to market got into a three-way crash.

DEBUNKED: HERE’S THE EXPLANATION FOR THE ‘MADE IN CHINA’ ROMNEY HAT YOU’RE SEEING ON FACEBOOK

Both of the presidential candidates for the upcoming election say they will fight for business that will keep and create jobs in the United States. And they’re trying to practice what they preach already with promotional items in their online stores boasting “Made in the USA” labels. But a viral photo showing a Romney hat with “Made in China” stamped on the tag has led some to criticize and others to find the facts.
The photo going viral online (see below) compares a Romney/Ryan hat’s tag to that of an Obama logo hat. The GOP candidate’s hat in blurry text says Made in China while the president’s hat was made in America.

DID YOU PAY YOUR 50 BUCKS?

Moments ago, one of the Jaycees representatives walked up to the Owner of the new Aqua Restaurant, (Phil) and said, "did you pay the $50.00 to be here"? Phil kept his composure, smiled and said, WHAT? The Jaycees representative said, you have to pay $50.00 to be out here to give out candy on the Plaza. He went on to say that they RENTED the Plaza from the City and every one has to pay their $50.00 fee to be there.

First of all, Phil, (as a business owner) was simply being kind. He went out and purchased candy to give away, thinking this  was the right thing to do. I will say, (obviously) I was standing right there and this gentleman was not being kind at all. If the Jaycees had done the right thing they would have solicited Phil to invite him to participate and perhaps he would have known there was a charge.

I used to be in the Jaycees, (back in the day) and this is NOT how we used to behave and or treat people. Even I had NO CLUE the Jaycees were charging to give away candy. Secondly, this is Phil's property, (as a renter). He's never been charged for a 3rd Friday event, that I'm aware of.

Times are a changing, that's for sure.

Sandy Prompts Harrowing NYC Hospital Evacuation

Evoking harrowing memories of Hurricane Katrina, 300 patients were evacuated floor by floor from a premier hospital that lost generator power at the height of superstorm Sandy.

Rescuers and staff at New York University Langone Medical Center, some making 10 to 15 trips down darkened stairwells, began their mission Monday night, the youngest and sickest first, finishing about 15 hours later.

Among the first out were 20 babies in neonatal intensive care, some on battery- powered respirators.

COMEDIAN ‘REDISTRIBUTES’ CHILDREN’S CANDY IN HILARIOUS ‘OBAMA-STYLE’ HALLOWEEN PRANK

In an “Obama-style” Halloween prank, Fox News contributor, actor and comedian Steven Crowder paid a visit to young trick-or-treaters at a local church’s “trunk or treat” event and attempted to “redistribute” their candy to make the system more “fair.” In the video, Crowder, dressed in a monkey costume, says the stunt is an attempt to teach kids about the American tax system.
Of course, the Obama administration’s official stance on tax policy is based on the belief that the rich aren’t paying their “fair share” in taxes — despite the fact that the nation’s top 10 percent of income earners pay roughly 70 percent of all federal income taxes.
As Crowder reaches into kids’ candy baskets and gives it to other children with less candy, the idea of redistribution is met with great resistance.

FACEBOOK CENSORS NAVY SEALS TO PROTECT OBAMA ON BENGHAZI-GATE

Over the weekend, Facebook took down a message by the Special Operations Speaks PAC (SOS) which highlighted the fact that Obama denied backup to the forces being overrun in Benghazi.

The message was contained in a meme which demonstrated how Obama had relied on the SEALS when he was ready to let them get Osama bin Laden, and how he had turned around and denied them when they called for backup on Sept 11.
I spoke with Larry Ward, president of Political Media, Inc -- the media company that handles SOS postings and media production. Ward was the one who personally put the Navy SEAL meme up, and the one who received the warning from Facebook and an eventual 24 hour suspension from Facebook  because Ward put the meme back up after Facebook told him to take it down.

MEDIA MATTERS SNAGGED IN OSAMA-FOR-OBAMA COVER-UP

For America progressive group today posted a false article claiming President Obama’s campaign did not accept a donation from someone impersonating Osama bin Laden using a foreign proxy server.
“Sorry Drudge, The Obama Campaign Is Not Accepting Donations From Osama Bin Laden,” read the group’s headline.
The Media Matters piece took issue with a WND article, linked at the popular DrudgeReport.com, reporting “bin Laden” successfully donated twice to Obama’s presidential re-election campaign using a Pakistani Internet Protocol and proxy server, a disposable credit card and a fake address.
The “Bin Laden” donations, actually made by WND staff, included a listed occupation of “deceased terror chief” and a stated employer of “al-Qaida.”

Obama Met With Panetta and Biden at WH As Benghazi Terror Attack Unfolded

President Barack Obama met with Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Vice President Joe Biden at the White House on Sept. 11, 2012 at 5:00 PM—just 55 minutes after the State Department notified the White House and the Pentagon that the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi was under attack.
The meeting between Obama, Panetta and Biden had been scheduled before the attack took place, and the Department of Defense is not commenting now on whether the three men were aware when they met that day of the ongoing attack or whether Obama used that meeting to discuss with his defense secretary what should be done to defend the U.S. personnel who at that very moment were fighting for their lives in Benghazi.

Hurricane Sandy Aftermath: How To Campaign After A Disaster

With less than a week to go before Election Day, President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney face one of the trickiest tasks in politics: campaigning in a disaster’s wake.
At least 10 people are dead in New York City, flood waters have devastated communities up and down the East Coast, and hundreds of thousands of people are without power. It’s not an opportune time for presidential candidates to quibble over small issues or engage in the name-calling that has defined the 2012 campaign.

Steve Hammond and Alice Bavic Lost Without Their Video

This is hilarious. I chose to turn on WBOC at 5 PM and as soon as they went live you could see the anger and frustration in Steve Hammonds face. He started off by saying they've had a major malfunction, OMG, we are completely out of video. SO WHAT!

Now they are stretching out the weather because I'm telling you, without a teleprompter and video these guys are so damn lost they ust don't know what to do.

Hey, I know, rather than acting like actors good at reading whatever is fed to you, actually try to get to KNOW what your going to be broadcasting and when and if something like this ever happens again you won't look like such idiots in a panic.

Man, this guy is stretching the weather for a good 10 minutes. By the way, with all due respect, now I know why these two hide behind a tall table. I'll just leave it at that. They just went to a commercial and said they'd come back to more helicopter footage. This is unreal. What a couple of spoiled crybabies.

Now I know some of you are going to give me a hard time for picking on these guys but seriously, you have to see what I'm watching to understand. They are truly lost and pissed.

Anti-Obama Text Ads Cause A Stir

Hundreds of people reported receiving strident, unsolicited anti-Obama text messages throughout Tuesday evening in an unusual spamming incident that had Twitter and Facebook users in an uproar.
“Voting for Obama means voting for same-sex marriage,” one message read. Others included “Obama stole $716 Billion in Medicare. We cant [sic] trust Obama to protect our seniors,” “Obama is using your tax dollars to fund Planned Parenthood and abortions. Is that right” and “VP Biden mocks a fallen Navy Seal during memorial. Our military deserves better.”

Martin Luther's Revolution

A REFORMATION DAY LESSON ON DEMOCRACY

By Larry Marchant || Last weekend many protestent churches celebrated the Reformation of the Catholic Church. But I believe people of all faiths should stop and pause, because Martin Luther’s actions have a much larger, ripple affect – extending far beyond church doctrine.
In Europe during the 16th Century, several key events inspired Martin Luther’s revolutionary action:
  • Pope Leo X wanted to reconstruct Saint Peter’s Basilica – the crown jewel of the Vatican. But there was one small problem: The Church was broke.
  • When the Pope approached Venetian bankers to finance his vision, they balked at the Church’s credit.
  • The Papacy devised a plan to satisfy the Church’s debt to the bankers. Indulgences—payments to the Church so that parishioners could buy a loved one’s ticket into heaven.
  • St. Peter’s Basilica becomes the first building to be built on credit.
A priest and professor of theology, Luther’s frustration reached a boil – and he proposed ninety-five changes to the Catholic Church. But rather than dropping his “suggestions” in the employee suggestion box, he nailed them to the church door at Wittenberg, Germany.
Among other issues Luther protested indulgences as well as the broader notion that parishioners must make payments to secure a deceased loved one’s place in heaven.  He also questioned the church’s ban against married priests. Further, Luther believed that the Church placed far too much importance on worshiping Mary, the mother of Jesus.

"Octomom" Nadya Suleman Checks Into Rehab For Anxiety, Stress

Ohio Steel Towns Feeling Recession Fallout Waver On Obama

Kathryn Adams, a Democrat all her 56 years, chokes for a moment as she speaks.

“Life is so much harder now for so many people than it was four years ago,” says Adams, a Methodist campus minister at Youngstown State University in Ohio, describing the struggling families she has served in soup kitchens and the declining collections at the local churches that support her work.
“Too many people are hurting, and it’s time for a change,” she said, in explaining why she plans to vote against Barack Obama, the man she backed for president in 2008.
Even as the darkest days of the recession have passed, times are still tough in Youngstown and surrounding industrial towns along the Mahoning River, a cradle of the steel industry in northeastern Ohio. Boarded-up homes and empty storefronts are common, and many families are stretching shrinking paychecks.

Family To Appeal Judge's Ruling in 'Science City' Case

Family members of the former owner of the farm slated to become part of Johns Hopkins University's "Science City" in Germantown plan to file an appeal over a judge's ruling supporting the university.
Montgomery County Circuit Court Judge Ronald Rubin ruled on Friday that Johns Hopkins University could develop the farm -- which was sold to the college by the late Elizabeth Beall Banks in 1989 to use as a university research campus -- as it plans.
Family members say the land was given to the university as a gift, and it was supposed to be developed as a research university. Rubin ruled the transaction between Banks and the university was a sale, in which Banks was paid $5 million.

Mexico Joins The US And Others In Implementing Capital Controls

By 2014, the US Department of Homeland Security will be able to scan you at the molecular level from 164 feet, and you won't even know it. Starting 2013, the US Department of the Treasury will be able to scan every bank and brokerage account you have in the world, save a few possibilities. In both cases, if the government doesn't like what it sees, they can make short work of you and your money.

Unfortunately, while the US has become the world's most invasive police state, combining intent with technology, it is not the only state policing its citizens' financial transactions. Indeed, many other nations are following in its footsteps, limiting individual freedom as well as financial freedom. One of the most common examples of financial fascism today is currency controls, that is, limiting how much cash one can withdraw over a period of time, what can be purchased with cash, and requiring the reporting of purchases and sales above a certain amount with cash. In the US, for example, transactions above $10,000 must be reported by banks and certain vendors, and suspicious transactions (however defined) also reported. Spain recently banned cash transactions above 2,500 euros.

Regrettably, Mexico, too, has now hopped on the capital control bandwagon. In 2010, Mexico instituted strict limits on foreign exchange cash transactions to $1,500 per person per month which made it tough on tourists and resulted in many dollar exchanges closing their doors.

Protect Yourself After Hurricane Sandy, Too

Baltimore, MD - In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, your home, yard, automobile or business may be in need of repairs as a result of wind and/or water damage. Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler urges you to be wary of home repair scams and other attempts to defraud consumers that often follow in the wake of a large storm's destructive path.

"We hope the worst fears about Hurricane Sandy do not come true, but Marylanders should nonetheless always be on guard for the flood of con artists who try to take advantage of consumers after a big storm. These swindlers will try to rip off families and business owners who are desperate to get their storm damage fixed," said Attorney General Gansler. "Be careful with door-to-door salesmen using high pressure tactics to get your hard-earned money. That money may vanish while the repair goes undone."

The vast majority of home repair contractors, tree removal companies and car repair shops in Maryland are reputable businesses doing good work for their customers. Many are eager to help their neighbors and their communities recover from a disaster. These are people you are likely to know and trust. Attorney General Gansler urges consumers to be wary of people you do not know who solicit you at your home or business.

Warning signs that consumers should look for following severe weather include:

Traveling salesmen who come knocking on your door immediately after a disaster
High-pressure sales tactics
Demands for up-front payments
Demands for an immediate decision
Advance-fee loans that "guarantee" a loan to rebuild your home or business

Anticipating The Devolution Of Big Government

With the US elections approaching next week, as well as the threat of another fiscal cliff showdown looming, we asked contributing editor Charles Hugh Smith to revisit his earlier work [12] on how the expansive Central State has come to dominate both private society (i.e., the community) and the marketplace, to the detriment of the nation’s social and economic stability. In this updated installment, we will examine six critical dynamics that will lead to the devolution of Peak Government. Massive Borrowing In a misguided attempt to maintain an unsustainable Status Quo, the Federal government is borrowing unprecedented amounts of money that then must be serviced. And the Federal Reserve is expanding its balance sheet by trillions of dollars (“printing money”) and intervening in stock, bond, and other markets for the purposes of managing perception (“the recovery is here!”) These government funds are not just paying the government’s bills – they are being used to guarantee loans and mortgages that subsequently enter default, transferring what was private debt to the public and subsidizing politically powerful special interests. Guarantees and subsidies both incentivize what is known as moral hazard: the separation of risk from consequence. This can be summarized very simply. People who are not exposed to risk act completely differently than those who are exposed to risk. When risk has been transferred to the taxpayers by guarantees, give-aways, and subsidies, then speculation and mal-investment are incentivized. If the bet pays off, I get to keep the gain, but if it loses, then I personally lose nothing, as the loss is transferred to the taxpayers. Institutionalized Mal-Investment The net result of these policies – borrowing immense sums to prop up an unsustainable Status Quo and institutionalizing moral hazard – leads to misallocation of scarce capital on a grand scale. In effect, the money borrowed by the federal government and electronically printed by the Federal Reserve is mal-invested, because those receiving the funding are personally not at risk and face no consequence if the money is squandered on speculation or unproductive programs. Once moral hazard has been institutionalized, it becomes a positive feedback loop. Since everyone in the system faces little personal consequence from mal-investment, the institution loses the ability to police itself. Even worse, concentrations of private wealth readily influence public institutions via lobbying and political contributions, exacerbating moral hazard and mal-investment of the publicly borrowed money. Erosion of Trust in Government Mal-investment inevitably yields poor results, and just as inevitably, the government seeks to mask the dismal results of moral-hazard riddled policies and agencies. This “perception management” is driven by political expediency, as public outrage at failed policies and unproductive spending would eventually lead to a political price being paid by the leadership. So failed policies are declared great successes, negative data is massaged into positive data, and unflattering frauds involving public funds are buried or transformed into pseudo-realities. More

Crisfield Flooding Called Worst Since 1985; 2 Caskets Rise From Graves

Maryland’s southernmost town has been hit hard by superstorm Sandy. Residents of Crisfield on the Tangier Sound say they haven’t seen flooding this bad since Hurricane Gloria in 1985.
At a cemetery on North Somerset Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, two caskets had been forced out of their graves, their sides visible above the grass. Cement slabs that had covered the graves were dislodged.
On Cove Street, water was covering lawns and splashing against the front steps of houses. One house had a rowboat tied up but floating in the yard.

Interesting Article: Delmarva Farmer Uninviting Maryland Dept. Ag From Speaking At FB Convention

CHESTERTOWN, Md. — A recommendation which, if approved, would deny Maryland Agriculture Secretary Earl “Buddy” Hance the opportunity to address the 97th annual meeting of the Maryland Farm Bureau, has emerged from a recent meeting of the Kent County Farm Bureau.

The recommendation has been forwarded to the Maryland Farm Bureau’s directors for their consideration at a meeting slated for Tuesday, Nov. 13.

Kara Morris, who is in her third year as president of the Kent County Farm Bureau, said the admittedly unusual proposal resulted from “frustration” with the Maryland Department of Agriculture, particularly in the wake of the new nutrient management regulations.

The recommendation is “a preliminary step,” said Morris, “but it’s a start. We want to get it done.”
Official spokespersons for both MDA and MFB declined to comment.

The county meeting was held Oct. 11.

Its principal mission was to formulate policy resolutions which the county Farm Bureau hopes to get approved by the MFB directors and then brought to the floor of the Dec. 2-4 convention at the Clarion Fountainebleau Hotel in Ocean City, Md.

Hurricane Sandy Forces Coffins Above Ground in Crisfield

Hurricane Sandy's impact has been so severe, even those resting in peace haven't been able to do so in the eye of the ferocious storm.

In one of the most jarring images we've seen from its' wreckage, the storm pounded the ground in Crisfield, Maryland so hard, that two caskets rose from the ground at a local cemetery.

The storm dislodged huge slabs of cement covering the caskets -- one silver, one bronze -- at a cemetery on North Somerset Avenue, according to local reports.

ONE KILLED IN MULTI-VEHICLE CRASH ON I-495

(College Park, MD) – A Princes George’s County man was killed this morning after the car he was driving stopped in the roadway and was struck by a truck tractor traveling on I-495 prior to New Hampshire Avenue.

The deceased has been identified as Kwame (NMN) Abban, 44, of the 9800-block of Good Luck Road, Lanham, Md. The victim was transported to Suburban Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The deceased was driving a 1997 Toyota Corolla.

The second driver is identified as Jessica W. Smith, 31, of White Hall, Md. Ms. Smith was driving a 2007 Nissan Sentra. Her vehicle struck the rear of the 1997 Toyota Corolla prior to it being struck by the truck tractor. She was not injured.

The third driver is identified as Anthony W, Reil, 44 of Bentonville, Va. Mr. Reil was driving a 2005 Sterling truck tractor. His vehicle struck the rear of the 1997 Toyota Corolla causing it to spin around and face the opposite direction. He was not injured.

A preliminary investigation has been conducted by troopers from the College Park Barrack with assistance from the Maryland State Police CRASH Team. The preliminary investigation reveals that shortly after 5:15 a.m. today, the 1997 Toyota driven by the deceased was stopped in the travel portion of I-495 prior to New Hampshire Avenue after being struck in the rear by the 2007 Nissan. The Nissan was able to move to the right shoulder of the road. For unknown reasons, the 1997 Toyota Corolla remained stopped in the roadway.

Moments later, a 2005 Sterling truck tractor traveling in lane number four struck the stopped 1997 Toyota in the rear. The crash caused the Toyota to spin around and face the opposite direction. The driver of the truck tractor was able to stop his vehicle without further incident.

There were no other passengers in any of the vehicles. It is believed at this point in the investigation that all drivers were wearing seat belts. There has been no determination of vehicle speeds at this time.

Due to the severity of the crash and the severity of the injury, troopers had to close westbound I-495 for about five hours. Prince George’s County Police and State Highway Administration personnel assisted with the closure.

The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. No charges have been placed. The investigation continues.

Crisfield Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts

Many of you have asked if you can volunteer to help with the relief efforts in Crisfield. Anyone interested in volunteering to help, please meet tomorrow (Thursday) at Crisfield City Hall at 1 p.m. We will organize the clean up effort from there. Many have also asked about donations. The Crisfield Chamber of Commerce has set up the Crisfield Relief Fund. PNC Bank has agreed to accept donations to this fund at any bank branch. As a 501(c)(6) organization, donations received by the Chamber are tax deductible. You may also contribute to your local chapter of the American Red Cross.

Publishers Notes: I will be heading to Crisfield tomorrow afternoon to offer my help and I hope those of you who have the time will take this opportunity to help our neighbors in desperate need of relief. THINK about ALL of the people who headed to New Orleans to help in their relief efforts a few years ago. Crisfield is right in our own back yard and they need help. I have friends who live there and I can tell you, it's bad. Join me if you can.

RNC Left With Hoards Of Cash But Little Time

A late surge of support and months of restrained spending have left the Republican National Committee flush with cash with little time to spend it — $68 million as of Oct. 17, which was nearly seven times the amount the Democratic National Committee had in the bank.
Adding in the cash from other presidential campaign committees, the mismatch still was stark: $156 million for Mitt Romney and his GOP allies to $94 million for President Obama and his allies. State Republican parties also had 50 percent more cash than their Democratic counterparts, according to an analysis by The Washington Times.
It’s likely that means a surge of GOP spending is coming. What’s unclear is what form it will take, and RNC officials declined to tip their hand.
