Trump to nominate Amy Coney Barrett to Supreme Court

President Trump plans to announce that Amy Coney Barrett will be his nominee to the Supreme Court to fill the seat vacated by the death of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, multiple sources told Fox News on Friday.

The president is expected to make the announcement during a White House event today. Barrett currently serves as a judge on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Trump, who has a campaign rally scheduled later Friday night in Virginia, declined to say who he will announce when pressed by reporters at Joint Base Andrews. "You’ll find out tomorrow,” he said.

The announcement is certain to ignite a bruising election-year confirmation battle, as Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has vowed to put up Trump's nominee for a vote.

  2. Should pass confirmation easily. All Democrats who vote against is the ones who are supporting the ANARCHIST and attempting to overthrow the US government and US democracy.

They are the ones who knows nothing about the Constitution and are a bunch of rich SOCIALIST / COMMUNIST.

These includes the so-called Democrat politians that say they represent all Marylanders while becoming millionaires by their ANARCHIST ways.

    3. 2 are adopted from Haiti...you have issues with welfare queens pumping out kids too, or just are intimidated by strong conservative women who can support their children without being on the public teat?

  7. The Judicial nature of the Supreme Court should be nonpartisan and unbias and not supportive of any point of view. The law is not to be interpreted or supportive of philosophical political and cultural divisions and beliefs of the populace. That's the nature of having LAW just like commandments you can break commandants and get saved but Law should not be so forgiving.

    What an idiot!!

Just like municipal elections where they are "Non-partisan" but guess what? Jake Day is a full fledged Socialist Democrat wing nut. There will always be conservatives or liberals so there is no such thing as non-partisan you F'n Dumba$$!

  16. @119 Get bent. We're going to stack that court as full as we can and then pass a law preventing expanding the court which would then take the supreme court to overturn. Guess what happens then when you try and say it's unconstitutional? That's right, it goes before that same stacked court. You lot are hellbent on creating tyranny so the best red pill for you is to be shown actual tyranny.
