    1. Reality is that there are 16.5K registered voters in the City and this is the turnout. Maybe polls should be set up at WAWA and ROFO.

The vast majority of voters voted for Day. Only a handful for King, yet you call the majority of the voters in Salisbury "dirtbags." I think you qualify for the "sore loser" award. Take a deep breath and relax. It's not the end of the world. It didn't end in the last 4 years, and it won't end in the next. Maybe you'll have better luck in the next election, but I doubt it.

  13. While I personally congratulate Jake Day and ALL others on their victories, you Liberals should be the gentle and kind people you claim to be, (just like Jake said in this speech) and THANK Wayne King and others for running. You are all full of words, fake people. You are not kind, gentle or anything of the fake news source you lie to be. Wayne doesn't hate Jake. He simply believes in a differed form of government, just as I did when I ran. I personally LAUGH when I saw Jake talking about what people in Annapolis think of Salisbury because I personally know of a very different story. I also know that the people in Annapolis are so happy the Eastern Shore is what it is, the outhouse of Maryland. The Eastern Shore is so far removed from real politics. Over the Bay Bridge, they WANT Affordable Housing placed here so they don't have to deal with the crime and BS that comes with it. IN years to come, little did you know, the crime will be so bad here the people in Annapolis will say, you made your bed, you took our money, lie in it and deal with it. Pound your chest all you want, I happen to know what they're really saying and thinking. Salisbury Maryland is a well planned out Detroit. Most of the bad apples are relocated from Baltimore to ECI and their Baltimore families relocate here. I can tell you directly from inmates that were asked if and when they get out of ECI will they relocate back to Baltimore, NO. The joke is on you Salisbury. It was your election to lose back in my day and it was again with Wayne. Remember, everyone with any success moved out of the City. Good Luck Millennials, (fools) you're going to need it.

  15. I had high hopes for King when he first announced his candidacy. I read and listened to everything that he put out for consideration. Unfortunately it was apparent that he was ill prepared and lacked the political speak that is necessary to run for office. He may have had a few good ideas but lacked the ability prove competence for the Office of Mayor. Maybe the next election will uncover a true conservative that can reach the majority of the electorate. I do believe there are enough conservatives in Salisbury to elect a Republican Mayor but he must do more than point out what is wrong with the City.

    ReplyDelete
  16. If they let everyone with a "Salisbury" address vote instead of just those in the actual city limits there would be a much different outcome. Just let Salisbury rot like has been doing for years and plan an exit strategy like I am doing. Three more years and I hope to be out of here.

And for those who dispute the rotting of Salisbury just look at everyone downtown on the Eastern Shore and then back at Salisbury. I hope for a better future for those who stay, but please be honest about who you are voting into office. Salisbury does suck, but it is years and years and not all on jaky boi. Tighman - Ireton - Jaky The decline has been steady.

  35. Let's be realistic here people the was NO way salisbury or wicomico county (John Cannon) were going to let King win. Annapolis, Palmer gilliss, John Cannon, all have who they want in the mayor's office. The contractors and slumlords are making millions off of day's socialist garbage. The counties court system depends on all the crime Day's agendas produce to keep the wheels turning. Voucher housing and crime are big business people the only thing is it's all stacked against the honest working class citizens this city used to be comprised of. Our society is based on government hand-outs in ALL shapes and forms.

  46. It's not so much that Jake Day won but it's his endless narcissistic praise and endless lies. Those of us that have lived here longer that Day has been alive know how beautiful the area once was and how infested with drugs and run down the neighborhoods have become. The biggest aggravation is that we know there are so many more qualified individuals that still reside here but because of fear of making waves that could effect them personally and professionally they just sit back and watch. Those I'm referring to don't want the headache of babysitting the demographic that is salisbury today and the endless task of fixing the nonsense Day has created. Besides most have made a pretty good living up to this point and don't want to stay in an area that caters to the entitlement mentality. Annapolis finally found a self absorbed patsy in Jake Day that was willing to sell salisbury out for a possible future in Annapolis. HE PROMISED TO CLEAN UP THE WICOMICO RIVER IN HIS FIRST TERM well how's that looking. HE PROMISED MORE OWNER HOUSING THE LAST TERM, well in 4 years we have increased that number by 11! TWO PEOPLE DROWNED DURING THIS YEARS FESTIVAL BECAUSE OF A FENCE REMOVAL how's that sitting with you. THE ROUNDABOUTS AND PAINTED SIDEWALKS HAVE BENEFITED WHO, snarled traffic, multiple fender benders and worse to come. NO JAKE WAYNE MAY HAVE LOST DUE TO THE FOOLS THAT ARE STILL DRINKING YOUR COOL AID, AND YOUR SLUM LORD FRIENDS, AND DRINKING BUDDIES, BUT HE IS TWICE THE MAN YOU WILL EVER BE. With Salisbury being approximately 90% rentals and transient the people move from rental to rental. I'm thinking that they may be registered and don't think they can vote in their new addresses. Something else they couldn't have moved out of the city or county and the voter rolls have never been purged. That would be my guess. 63. I read this from another post and it's relevant here. Hey Day, O'Hare, Dunn, Heath, when you keep pushing all this progressive liberal BS down everyone's throats and they decide that being extorted by the federal government is enough and your local freak show isn't tolerable you will run out of the ability "to spend other's people's money". You've hung your hats on empty promises from the state level and eventually they too will show you "it's just business/politics". Good luck footing that bill when the note gets called in.

WTF would any decent candidate align themselves with the hatred of these clowns from the Lower Shore Progressive Caucus? Jake Day is close friends with these Socialists:

    Michele Gregory
    Jared Schablein
    Jake Burdette
    James Yamakawa
    Amber Green
    Ron Pagano
    Chuck Cook

Now think about these supporters of Jake Day:

    Shawn Jester
    Nate Sansom
    Mark McIver
    Linda Luffman
    Wendy Asspacker

  73. I caught what had to be the most pathetic a** biting interview on pac14 with Mike Dunn praising Jake Day receiving 85% of the 3,000 votes with 32,000+ plus registered voters. Dunn was nuttin' all over himself "we are in the presence of rock star greatness". Dunn had made a career out of kissing any and all asses he comes across

  75. Jonathan Taylor has too many bill collectors looking for him to be going public. He would also lose his esteem welfare status if he demonstrated he had money to run a campaign. Not like Johnny knows the crime de la cream of Salisbury. Poor idiot probably didn’t even have a treasurer for his campaign. He ran as a spoof. Maybe someone else put his name in and he said what the heck. Nobody knows and much more, nobody cares. The guy’s a blight on the Salisbury scene. He’s one of the reasons why Salisbury is just a backstabbing clump of sand.

  77. Well Salisbury you not only elected Jake but you elected to allow the continued problems within Salisbury police department. By electing Jake Day you are stuck with Barb’s another 4 years. Don’t want to hear the complaints. You had a choice to make a significant change throughout the city and you failed.
