  1. 7300 Block of Main Street Willards, MD??

Doesn't the Town of Willards have its own police force like Pittsville? If not then how much is the Town of Willards contributing to the County for the work of the Sheriff's Department? Are the other towns paying for police service to the County? They shouldn't be getting free services. In Delaware, the towns and counties like Sussex County have to pay the Delaware State Police for police services.

Last time I checked Willards was in Wicomico County. They pay county, state and town taxes.

  3. 3:20 so Salisbury has its own police force so the Sheriff department should not patrol that area?

  4. Elected officials.....
I will post this as long as Mr Albero will keep displaying it. PLEASE talk to Sheriff Lewis about the recent acting Cpl and acting Sgt posistion. The reason they were promoted was because a Sgt was out sick. That Sgt is back to full duty. I believe the Sheriffs Office plans to keep these two in acting positions until the spring and then give the county some excuse why they need to be permanent. If the Sheriffs Office keeps creating positions there will be know deputies to work the road. The majority of the deputies are FURIOUS over this because they are the ones paying the price working short handed. We are short deputies in courts, schools and the road do to created positions many of which are SUPERVISOR positions. The Sheriffs Office has PLENTY of staff they are just miss appropriated. Please look into this it's a matter of public safety and deputy safety in my humble opinion.

    2. What's really upsetting that the dispatchers have to sit and look at someone making 80k plus for a MADE UP JOB when that money could have been used to give them a raise! Unreal! I hope the dispatchers all leave at the same time. Word is they ALL are looking now.

  6. The Sheriff's office has more resources to investigate and apprehend in this kind of crime. Better to use them, since they're being paid for anyway.
