Maryland Attorney General News Releases Update

Attorney General Frosh Joins Amicus Brief Defending State Laws Regulating
the Public Carrying of Firearms
Coalition Defends Constitutionality of Licensing Laws

BALTIMORE, MD (June 13, 2018) – Maryland Attorney General Brian E. Frosh today joined a coalition of attorneys general in filing an amicus brief defending the constitutionality of a Massachusetts gun law preventing individuals from carrying a firearm in public unless they demonstrate an individualized need to do so.

“States have the authority to pass and implement common sense gun safety laws,” said Attorney General Frosh. “The laws in place in Maryland protect our citizens and are completely in accord with the Constitution.”

  2. Frosh and the others are just plain wrong. When self defense/ protection is arbitrarily decided by someone else to be not a good enough reason to carry, it takes away a right given to us by our Maker, NOT the State.

The State cannot rule on a right it has not given.

  7. It's NOT our Constitution.

It now belongs to a special set of politicians who firmly believe THEY know which rights we REALLY have and which one they don't like.
    TWO SETS OF LAWS.

One for the mastesr who carry guns and surround thenselves with other men with guns.
One for the serfs, who sometimes must be killed so we can all live safely.

You cheer like peasants who were just given hot bread by the king.
Guns are very very bad when the serfs have them. They tend to use them, eventually, against the people who think our Constitution makes them much more important than the ones they imperiously rule.
After consideration, I'm thinking that hanging them, unless it's for 7 seconds at a time for a few hours, is not the best and most entertaining way of ridding ourselves of the bloodsucking, lying, thieving "representatives".
In light of the massive corruption, Nazi police state, and 21 TRILLION in debt they have bestowed upon us, maybe roping them together in groups of fifty and setting them on fire would be a more just punishment for their utter contempt for "we, the people".
    Something must be done. Soon.
All that cheering you're doing isn't helping, only ENCOURAGING them.
I really like the part where he broke into "government-speak" - "the laws are in complete accord with the Constitution".
I'm not sure if he's even READ that document.
Keep cheering. That will be all you will be ALLOWED to do one day.

  10. Perhaps John Hancock, Sam and John Adams, Paul Revere and Crispus Attucks, among others, should also enter Amicus briefs opposing the Bill?

AG Froth (sp) is just full of it.

  11. Frosh and the liberal Democrats is the reason MD gun laws are so restrictive. Frosh also is the reason our right to carry concealed is so restrictive. Frosh is the reason MD has no reciprocity with other States. Then he has the nerve to say MD laws are Constitutional is very misleading. Hogan lets him get away with it. Now look at MD it has become a very dangerous sanctuary State.

  12. This is a clear violation of the 2nd amendment . Frosh is a left wing fanatic that needs to be voted out . He has wasted millions of dollars of MD taxpayer $ trying to hurt President Trump. He is a flea in a dog fight messing with Mr Trump. He is so far out of his league its hilarious. Frosh is holding press conferences and filing law suits and President Trump doesn't even know this moron exists!

  15. How is it right for someone sitting in an office 200 miles away, right to decide what dangers I face daily?

  16. Frosh needs to pound sand and be shown the door. So sick of that liberal twit!

  17. Amen, it's time to get rid of Frosh. If he isn't trying to take our guns away he's bashing Trump. He is a real loser but would fit right in with Pelosi, Shummer, Clinton, and Obama. And I forgot loser O"Malley.
