ANOTHER WOMAN & CHILD ASSAULTED IN SALISBURY, MARYLAND, (PRMC)

I am writing this email to share an incident/experience that occurred on 03\01\2017 at PRMC ER in Salisbury,Md.

My (16 yr old) child and myself were at PRMC, my child was a patient waiting to be seen. As we are sitting in a room waiting to be seen an (ADULT MALE) mentally/challenged patient came in our room, assualted my child and I. This adult male patient was allowed to go to the restroom without having proper staff accompanying him.

The adult male patient was restrained by 2 MSP Troopers, PRMC hospital security and PRMC hospital staff but by this time my child and I had already been assualted.

We (my child and I) have never seen or spoken to this adult male or the relatives/friends who were with this adult male. Relatives/friends of this adult male patient made comment to my child and I, "why would they let him go bathroom alone when they (staff) knew he was crazy, that's why he was there" (THOSE WERE RELATIVES/FRIENDS WORDS SO PLEASE TAKE NO OFFENSE TO THEIR COMMENT

I want to reach out to other patients who go to PRMC, especially the elderly or anyone who has children to request to have your door shut so that other patients cant freely come in your room. IT'S YOUR RIGHT AS A PATIENT!!!)

My son and I will always have this incident/experience, this should not have occurred. A patient should feel safe, and protected when going to receive medical services.

THAT IS NOT HOW MY CHILD AND I FELT on 03/01/2017 at PRMC. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL MY CHILD OR MYSELF RETURN TO PRMC FOR ANY TYPE MEDICAL SERVICES!!!

EDITORS NOTES: You need to ask yourself, is your Daughter really as safe as Mayor Day claims she is? This child of a Mayor is living in a Liberal Fantasy World where the rainbow sky and unicorns fill their safe zones and comfort all the snowflakes in Salisbury.

This Week: Multiple shootings, rapes, home invasions, assaults, (we're not done with the assaults) and cover ups from the Mayor's Office. It's no wonder there are so many for sale signs around Salisbury wanting to get the hell out of there. Just wait till the new Section 8 Affordable Housing units come to Downtown. They'll use dryvitt exteriors because it's easy to repair bullet holes in a jiffy.

Fake Day, not "fake news".

  4. Day has been in denial since he was elected , as was the mayor before him .
I would like to know if Day has a job that he is productive at. Has he ever had a job other than the Army , which is no longer considered a productive attribute to society , however , Trump will bust his bubble in the long run.

  5. I got bashed on for sharing your news about the rapes happeneing. Everyone is listening to Mike Lewis and Day. We all know there is a serial rapist group going around Salisbury. Just wish they would put it on the news for once

  6. Cat, Mike Lewis wasn't even in the United States when he did his Facebook comment/reply, claiming he knows everything going on.

If anyone wants to believe Mike Lewis and Jake Day about last weeks story, so be it. However, what we published was absolutely true.

Day and Lewis are in CYA mode because crime is ridiculous in the City and County.

Now look at how many people are now coming forward with their unfortunate stories! Know this, the people involved in this story also went to other local media sources and they REFUSED to publish it, go figure.

Your local media is in bed with Lewis and Day, no doubt about it. It really makes me wonder just when the citizens will start holding law enforcement accountable?

I want ALL of you to look at the SPD calls for service. Please show me where this assault, (which was more brutal then she explains in her letter to me) is located on CRIME.

Once again, just how much crime is actually going on? This victim tells me PRMC was just about begging her to not press charges.

  8. Joe, you tell us, how do we hold law enforcement accountable? This town is all about cover up, all the time. What are we to do?

  9. 6:59, There is one simply way to eradicate the problem, VOTE THEM OUT! Lewis and Day are elected officials. Lewis is rarely ever in the Sheriff's Office. His financial interests are in teaching classes across the country. Nice guy, I get that. However, you are paying for a full time Sheriff who should be concentrating on the safety of Wicomico County citizens.

As for Day, come on, really? He's a KID running a multi million dollar business with absolutely zero experience. Again, a likable guy but his only answer is government funding, taking properties off the tax roll forever and using your money to dress up Main Street Downtown for Section 8 residents in the future.

Organizations like Greater Salisbury, the Chamber of Commerce and others are completely controlling who will run the City/County. They hate the Joe Albero's of the Shore who actually deliver creative ideas, vision and experience. It goes against their control of leaving things exactly as they are.

However, in the end it will ultimately fail and all you have to do is look at every other City in America lead by Liberals, brought in welfare and section 8 housing, (or what liberals now call Affordable Housing) and look at the end result 20 years later.

Look, if that's what you want, so be it. If you want to turns things around, VOTE THEM OUT!

  13. PRMC is a joke.
I was there with a family member recently. They did not provide care and lied the whole time. We could not even get a nurse to change her bed. We did and threw her contaminated sheets on the public bathroom floor because we did not know what to do with them..

ANYONE that used that bathroom also contracted what she had because they were too incompetent to provider her with the facilities necessary to contain her illness to her room and forced her to use the public bathroom. Every family member in the room caught what she had because they were so incompetent.

    5:29 AM is right.

I am in my fenced in back yard and see one of the occupants go to an area of my neighbors house that is dark, cop a squat and take a crap.

The previous tenant was a drug dealer that blessed us with drive by shootings, barking dogs and a mini landfill in the back yard. Now we have the shitter.

  27. I've always had a good experience at PRMC. Did not have one a Hopkins. My problem is the parking garage, I don't feel safe having to go at night and there is no security. And when you are sick that's a long walk to even getting to the ER. The entire hospital was not built for disabled and sick people you have long corridors to get somewhere, making it hard when you are not well. Lot of homeless people along the river making an unsafe area along there and the surrounding areas also. While I do not support fake day, as I feel he is making things worse and in over his Head. I do support Mike Lewis he is proactive unlike the previous Helms who was too laid back and did nothing.

  34. 9:58 AM Other troll with comprehension issues. Typical of a keyboard warrior to blame the victim, instead of the professional not doing their job.

The commentor already stated that the room was not provided what was necessary to contain the illness and they were forced to use the public ER bathroom.

Yea having people vomiting and eliminating other bodily fluids for hours in a public ER bathroom didn't contaminate it. Sure. What ever you say. Did you think the toilet caught it all and the place was germ free? Where would you have preferred they put the contaminated sheets? Where were the nurses that ignored their room? They already stated no one was around to assist. Should they have taken them to the nurses desk? Or maybe she should have just piled them up in the room so everyone could continue to be subject to the contamination.

Fact is the commentor is correct. The bathroom was already infected once it was used. They are not nurses and it is not their job to know proper protocol. The ER didn't do their job and put other patients and visitors at risk by not containing the illness.

We had a similar experience to that of the previous commentor and were put in the same predicament with a contagious illness and the ER.

    The place is ridiculous.

  36. We were in the ER last year and in the room next to us was a young girl hopped up on some drug claiming to have been assaulted/groped by that famous panhandler.

The conversation from the police standing in the hall, providing no privacy on the situation, was that since she was high, they could not use her testimony and there was nothing they could do.

So they left her in the ER to be dried out and sent home. We got to hear the whole thing, because I guess privacy isn't a high priority for the ER or crime victims.

Numerous people have cited severe deficiencies within the ER and that's the best you can come up with?

I know a patient that was forced to run to the public bathroom to vomit and didn't make it and blessed the floor with puke. I guess that was their fault too for being such a slob as to not make it to the toilet. They left their dirty gown on the floor and changed into a clean one in the bathroom. Oh the horror!

The bigger problem is the ER staff and not the patients that are not properly accommodated.

  48. My last experience at PRMC happened when a Salisbury Fire Department ambulance took me to the emergency room. The crew on the fire department ambulance didn't treat my emergency and acted like I was bothering them. Then next thing I know a helicopter was there to take me to University of Maryland Shock Trauma. That was the best thing they ever did for me and it saved my life. If I ever have to go to the hospital again I pray that I can walk there because I will NEVER call the Salisbury Fire Department again. I have heard so many horror stories from people about the Salisbury Fire Department and how bad they were treated or how their family members never came home again.

  62. 5:42 PM Lucky for us, we don't care what you think. You were not there. And we could not find the call button because it was wrapped around a gauge mounted to the wall under a wire rack full of supplies. What part of "there was nobody there to help them" did you not comprehend? Another arm chair judge and jury with limited facts and limited knowledge spewing their limited conviction. We have nothing to prove to you and what purpose would it serve to tell you what happened to us and lie about it? Are you really that stupid? I have nothing to lose, I have no reason to embellish. Just because you didn't witness it means its a lie?

Its been interesting watching you small town narrow minded dolts spew your hate when people tell you the truth. Just because it wasn't your experience doesn't mean it didn't happen.

  63. 5:42 PM What you do not have any knowledge of, is the fact of how understaffed the ER really is. If they have a trama come in, there is no one there to help any of the other patients who are basically ignored until they get the trama under control, which can take an hour.

When the commenter states there was no one there to help, they are telling the truth, there probably wasn't.

Rather arrogant of you to call someone a liar when you were not there. But thats what you get from basement dwelling armchair trolls.

I was just using the local vernacular so that it would be understood. I was smart enough to see the handwriting on the wall and sold most on my real estate on the shore between 2006-2008. Living very comfortably with 2 unencumbered waterfront homes in other states and retired before 50.

  68. 7:30 PM because there is nothing like sitting in a bed full of puke. How awful of that person to change the bed of their sick relative so they were not covered in puke. What a awful awful person! They should be tarred and feathered. They should be publicly harassed and shamed! We should all judge them anonymously on a blog. That'll teach em!

Maybe the hospital personnel should have done their job, then we would not have spent the last 10+ hours being jacka$$es to an unknown person who was taking care of a sick loved one.

Victim shaming, what an embarrassment and reflection of what shallow people you are. You cast an ugly reflection and that most likely, is what is making you sick.

  69. 6:53 What part of 2 MSP and hospital security did you miss? Just another one of those failed to be aware of surrounding and going to be a victim rather than shutting the door, fighting back, using anything in the room as a defensive weapon and my 16 yo son would be kicking a$$ of anyone trying to hurt his mom unless he was strapped to the hospital bed.

It is very evident that you have no clue as to what is and is not covered by HIPAA, not HIPPA, since you cannot even use the correct abbreviation.

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability of Act demands that all HIPAA covered businesses prevent unauthorized access to “Protected Health Information” or PHI. PHI includes patients' names, addresses, and all information pertaining to the patients' health and payment records.

He was ODing on Heroin behind the wheel of a Suburban. I was told it was the son of a Car dealer owner in town. There is a junkie living in the trailer parked on the corner of Harness Ln and Crooked Oak Rd. Parents are enabling the $hit out of this kid. The nieghbors all know it.

  77. Typos are what the keyboard warriors use for ammo. Those GED (good enough diplomas) don't let them get real jobs with benefits. They end up marrying women from wealthy families that graduate from SU. All their problems solved. Get health, dental and vision ins. from wife's employer and still get to collect tax free income from poaching oysters, rockfish and crabs. Take a look at look the spouses of some of the most left wing environmentalists involved in the save the bay/fiends of the nanticoke.

  78. 10:00 There is no misunderstanding that you are closely related to the the "victims". It is very sad that some residents of the slower lower will never be able to reach a position of greater than serf.

  79. You will go to PRMC if you are injured bad enough i gaurantee it. PRMC is the regional trauma center, you will have no choice if your injuries dictate it. Once you are stabalized you can choose (at your own expense) to move to a different facility.

  80. How can anyone make comments about someone being vicitimized in a negative manner...controlling someone elses thoughts and behavior isnt how it works. Every crime is different..is it the rape victims fault they were attacked..the assualts victim fault they were attacked. Ever think it was the attackers fault not victims. Every circumstance is different..im sure any asaualted victim did what they could to defend themself... blaming a victim is far from helping cure the crimes that are committed. This type of judgement toward the victim is part reason they do not come forward n speak out. Comments being made like are being made towards victims on here cause them to feel embarrassed, like its their fault. I am proud that any victim has the courage to come forward nand report or make public so that the public is aware to take steps to protect themselves n their families

  81. When you change the sheets on a bed because someone did not do it and then you dump
the sheet on a public bathroom floor are you are victim???? Get a life...you are just as irresponsible as the hospital staff that did not assist you! I am sure they did not wait until you specifically came into the ER to intentionally ignore you while you on the other hand intentionally subjected people that had nothing to do with your predicament with even more germs and filth... you should be ashamed of
    Yourself

    1. I am amazed how many people are commenting about the ridiculous sheet issue. Seriously people...first if all, you have to know it was made up...the original post is complete fiction. Second....even if it were true...WHO CARES????? This is about violent assaults not some petty nonsense.

  82. You'd think people would be safe in an emergency room, but my parents always taught my siblings and I to be hyperaware while in the hospital. Now I see why. I just thought they were being overprotective, not so much now.

  83. what is the plan to make it better? Salisbury could be the greatest place to live but it seems that they are putting all of the money into subsidized housing and improving the welfare thus drawing more poverty instead of more wealth.
There are section 8 houses in the pinehurst neighborhood. Child molesters in Steeplechase and renters are taking over the Nithsdales. You can't go to the grocery store or the plaza without encountering a panhandler and drugs. Are. Everywhere.
And to the person who said, "single moms have it tough...low income housing is necessary...". I cannot imagine what that is like. However, there are better answers as this one has only exacerbated the problem and we have generations of welfare lifers.
Attracting wealth to an area is the answer.
Good doctors won't come to the area because their spouses hate it here.

    1. The first step would be to close ECI. That would go a long way in improving the area. All the "come alongs" that follow the incarcerated would leave.

  85. 3:38 I am so tired of the "single mom" pity party.Pick better sperm donors who will marry you and support you and your kids.Almost every single mother I encounter lives better than some married couples with better jobs.None of their kids have the same father because the mothers make poor choices.Low income housing is full of them. Talk about rewarding bad behavior.
