LOL-The Christmas lights while they are not lit at night anymore are still up on the Bishopville bridge. This I can understand as it's a volunteer effort and not the government doing the decorating.
Just so everyone knows and can stop wondering ... things will be picked up and looking nice again by Easter. This cleaning up of decorations will be part of a spring clean up that all the idiots running Salisbury will be talking about and how nice it will look just keeps workers busy for when it gets warm out
No good deed goes unpunished. The decorations at the park, and many other areas, are done by VOLUNTEERS with DONATED money. This is typical on the Eastern Shore. So many people who DON'T volunteer criticize those who do. It's why many of us don't volunteer for civic and sport organizations anymore. Too many complainers and not enough doers. Next year, any and all commenters on this chain should contact the city and ask how you can help. Get up off your dirty couch and get out and do something for your community.

ReplyDeleteBecause Salisbury sucks. How's that?
ReplyDeleteBecause there has been a change in management in the public works department.
