Former Naval Academy commandant to lead Wesley College

DOVER, Del. (AP) — A former commandant of the U.S. Naval Academy has been tapped to become the new president at Wesley College, a private, Methodist-affiliated institution in Dover.

Wesley’s board of trustees announced the appointment of Robert E. Clark II this week. He succeeds William N. Johnston, who is retiring in July after seven years at Wesley.

Officials say Wesley’s presidential search committee received applications from 109 candidates, and the trustees voted unanimously for Clark.
