Obama Is The Shepherd I Did NOT Want.

Obama Is the shepherd I did not want.

He leadeth me beside the still factories.

He restoreth my faith in the Republican party.

He guideth me in the path of unemployment,
For his party's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the bread line,
I shall fear no hunger, for his bailouts are with me.

He has anointed my income with taxes,
My expenses runneth over.

Surely, poverty and hard living will follow me all the days Of my life, And I will live in a mortgaged home forever.

Is this the country's ugliest felon?

Mugshots don't often appear to bring out your best side, and unless you're blessed with model-like looks, odds are your picture will be an ugly one.

Alan Dale Lee, 45, first came to the attention of officers in Florida when he was arrested for alleged aggravated battery and selling of marijuana in August 2009.

Nicknamed by police ‘Dracula’ for his unsightly buck teeth, these series of mug shots have drawn horror from the public because of his strange and crooked teeth.

Man Agrees To Vasectomy As Part Of Plea

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A Virginia man has agreed to have a vasectomy as part of a plea deal that will shorten his prison sentence in a child endangerment case by about five years.

Shenandoah County assistant prosecutor Ilona White says she came up with the idea for the unusual condition after a judge in a previous case expressed concern that 27-year-old Jessie Lee Herald had fathered seven children with six different women.

Herald’s attorney, Charles Ramsey, says he had some hesitation about the deal but was obligated to pass it along to his client. He says it was a difficult decision for Herald, who is serving four years in prison.

Press Briefing Room Revolts Against Jay Carney’s Replacement in Testy Exchange Over Ducking Questions

New White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest – on his first official day on the job – got into a testy exchange with a reporter, telling one of them, “You don’t have to get all exercised about this.”

Earlier in the briefing, Earnest took a question from Jon-Christopher Bua, a Huffington Post columnist, about whether President Barack Obama had spoken to European leaders, in a question that dealt with Iraq.

In what was the last formal question of the briefing, Bloomberg reporter Roger Runningen asked about a call that morning between Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

THE SONASOFT SAGA - THE IRS HAS A CONTRACT WITH A COMPANY THAT BACKS UP ALL OF THEIR EMAILS! | WHAT REALLY HAPPENED

Our story begins on Friday June 20th, 2014, when the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service John Koskinen testified before the House Ways & Means Committee in the nearly year-long scandal in which the IRS had been targeting the political enemies of President Barack Obama for excessive audits, blocking of tax-exempt status, and other forms of harassment. Use of the IRS in such ways is illegal and was one of the articles of impeachment against President Richard Nixon.

Attention had early on focused on Lois Lerner, the IRS official in charge of the tax exempt organizations unit who had dropped the blame for the abuse on lower-level IRS employees operating out of the Cincinnati office. However evidence began to surface of over 150 meetings between IRS officials and the White House, and emails that included illegal sharing of IRS information on Obama's political enemies.During the government shut down, the White House erased the visitor logs for that time period from their website, and succeeded in getting a judge to allow the logs to be kept secret. At the same time, the IRS was illegally sharing private information on taxpayers with the FBI, seeking ways to prosecute and destroy Obama's enemies.

Darrell Issa's House Oversight and Government Reform Committee requested copies of all of Lois Lerner's emails, and was told that the IRS had the legally mandated copies of emails from before the IRS scandal and afterwards, but the critical emails between 2009 and 2011 had been lost due to a hard drive crash! Not only that, the IRS claimed, there were no backups as their tape archive system recycled all tapes after just six months, and the actual physical hard drive had been melted down and destroyed! Then it emerged that email for six other IRS employees at the heart of the scandal had also been lost!

Legal Memo Backing Drone Strike Is Released

A federal court on Monday released a previously secret government memo outlining the legal justification for the 2011 killing of Anwar al-Awlaki, a U.S. citizen and accused al-Qaeda operative, in a drone strike in Yemen.

The document was released under order of the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals in New York and provides the most detailed explanation to date for the legal reasoning behind Awlaki’s killing. Its disclosure also represents a significant capitulation by the Obama administration, which fought for years to keep the memo — as well as many other aspects of its targeted killing program — secret from the public.

“We do not believe that al-Aulaqi’s U.S. citizenship imposes constitutional limitations that would preclude the contemplated lethal action” by the U.S. military or CIA, the memo concluded, clearing the way for a drone strike that would trigger intense legal and political debate.

Coca-Cola Swaps Out Its Logo For 'Your Name Here'

ATLANTA -- Coca-Cola’s summer campaign extends an invitation to America to "Share a Coke." For the first time in the United States, Coca-Cola is personalizing the sharing experience by swapping out some of its iconic logos on 20-oz. bottles for 250 of the nation’s most popular names among teens and millennials.

Across the Coca-Cola trademark--Coke, Diet Coke and Coke Zero--the company is inviting people to find their name and the names of family, friends, colleagues, or even the names of people they want to know better and open a little extra happiness this summer by sharing a Coke together.

Drug War Blowback: Vegas Murderers were Police Informants

Jerad and Amanda Miller, who were banished from Bunkerville by supporters of Cliven Bundy, had worked as informants for Nevada law enforcement agencies. After the Millers murdered three people — Las Vegas Metro Officers Alyn Beck and Igor Soldo, and Joseph Wilcox, an armed citizen who heroically tried to stop their rampage — their former handlers claimed that they were unaware of the couple’s “anti-police sentiments.” That claim is difficult to credit, given that Jerad Miller had a lengthy criminal record, and the fact that the couple had made itself very prominent in protests associated with the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Jerad Miller, who was mired in the probation system because of narcotics convictions, was precisely the kind of person whose vulnerabilities make him valuable as an informant and provocateur.

The Millers were among many hundreds of people who traveled to Bunkerville, Nevada to support rancher Cliven Bundy in his confrontation with the BLM. They may well have been the only volunteers who were asked to leave because of concerns regarding what was described as their “aggressive nature and volatility.” During their brief visit, however, Jerad was interviewed by the local NBC affiliate, which meant that he was depicted as representative of the people who had rallied to the Bundy family’s cause.

Martin O'Malley Back From Iowa

Team -

A little over thirty years ago, I made my first trip to Iowa as a volunteer for Gary Hart's presidential campaign. I played the guitar at fundraisers, but my main job was to mobilize supporters in Davenport ahead of the Caucus.

Last weekend, I went back to Iowa to campaign for Democrats up and down the ticket, and to address the state's Democratic Party Convention where I shared the story of us - of Baltimore and Iowa, of Maryland and America.

We filmed a fun behind-the-scenes video of the trip that I hope you'll watch and share with friends.

The weekend started off saluting Senator Tom Harkin's career of service on Friday night at the Iowa Democratic Party's Hall of Fame Dinner.

On Saturday morning, I helped Democrats in Polk County kick-off a canvass for Iowa's coordinated campaign.

From there, I spoke at the convention about our work in Maryland to raise the minimum wage and pass expanded Pre-K. About the choices we've made to build our economy from the middle-out, and the middle-up. Prosperity doesn't trickle down from the top -- it never has. And as a result of our work, Maryland now has the highest median income of any state in the country.

After the event, I joined Jack Hatch, Lt. Governor nominee Monica Vernon, and others at campaign stops in Des Moines, Iowa City, Cedar Rapids, and Dubuque.
It was a great time, and I hope you'll take a moment to watch our behind-the-scenes video and share it with you friends, family, and social networks.

Thanks for taking the time to watch and share.

All the best,

Martin O'Malley

Dinesh D'Souza's 'America' banished from New York Times best seller list

The New York Times bestseller list hasn't waited a millisecond to putHillary Clinton's book atop its influential chart after just a week of sales, but has totally ignored another top-10 hardcover from noted conservative and critic of President Obama, Dinesh D'Souza.

His new book, on sale for three weeks, isn’t just absent from the top 10 lists already set for the next two Sundays, but totally missing from the list of the nation’s top 25 nonfiction hardcovers despite having sales higher than 13 on the latest Times chart.

According to sales reports provided to Secrets, D'Souza's new book America: Imagine a World Without Her, sold 4,915 in the first week and 5,592 in the second week. Had it been included on the upcoming June 22 Times hardcover nonfiction list, it would have ranked No. 8, and then No. 11 on the June 29 list that puts Clinton's sales at 85,721. The lists are widely circulated in the publishing industry before they go public.

Kerry Talks Democracy In Egypt – And Promises Delivery Of Weapons

CAIRO — Two weeks after former Egyptian army chief Abdel Fattah al-Sisi ascended to the Egyptian presidency, he is consolidating his position with endorsements from key backers the United States and Saudi Arabia.

On Sunday, US Secretary of State John Kerry touched down for a visit to Cairo - the highest level US visit since Mr. Sisi was elected president with over 96% of the vote at the end of May.

Washington’s close relationship with Cairo has traditionally been cemented by military assistance to Egypt of over $1 billion a year, but this was partially suspended last October, following a military coup and four police-led mass killings.

Despite a growing crackdown that has seen tens of thousands of government opponents arrested, most supporters of Islamist President Mohamed Morsi against whom Sisi led a military coup last July, Kerry’s touchdown in Cairo coincided with the announcement that the US had quietly sent an estimated $572 million to Cairo in military and security assistance this month.

Why President Obama wants Malia and Sasha to work minimum-wage jobs

'We are looking for opportunities for them to feel as if going to work and getting a paycheck is not always fun, not always stimulating, not always fair,' the president said in an interview with Parade magazine, slated to run on Sunday.

'I think every kid needs to get a taste of what it's like to do that real hard work,' Michelle echoed.

Unfortunately, we did not have life insurance on him that would help to offset the cost of funeral expenses. We are asking for any and all donations to cover the associated expenses, no matter how big or small. We greatly appreciate any contributions.

Thank you to everyone in advance for taking the time to visit the page and donate.

Democrat-Dominated Maryland Not Quite As Liberal As Its Leaders

Candy and Walter Morrison have had it with the taxes and the politicians in Maryland who jack up spending while people can’t find decent work. “We’re driving jobs out of the state,” says Walter, a recently retired federal contractor.

“It’s like the politicians think they fool us when they raise taxes and call them ‘fees,’ ” adds Candy, who worked in auditing before she retired.

Although their complaints echo what tea party Republicans in Virginia said as they booted out House Majority Leader Eric Cantor two weeks ago, the Morrisons voted Democratic when they cast their early ballots in Glen Burnie last week.

Donald Trump slams 'disgraceful' $40M settlement for Central Park 5

In a scathing attack on the $40 million settlement handed down to the Central Park 5 - at the expense of taxpayers - Donald Trump has called the payout a 'disgraceful' and 'ridiculous' result owing to the 'incompetence' of the New York City justice system.

Writing an opinion piece for The New York Daily News on Saturday, the real estate mogul - who has long advocated the five then-teenagers receive the death penalty for the brutal rape and bashing of an investment banker in Central Park in 1989 - said that even though the men had been exonerated, the $40 million settlement was overblown.

'Forty million dollars is a lot of money for the taxpayers of New York to pay when we are already the highest taxed city and state in the country,' he wrote in the paper.

'The recipients must be laughing out loud at the stupidity of the city ... These young men do not exactly have the pasts of angels.'

Congressman Stockman introduces bill to grant taxpayers same excuse as IRS

WASHINGTON,  Can’t do your taxes because the dog ate your hard drive? No problem! According to a press release from Congressman Steve Stockman (R- Texas), taxpayers who do not produce documents for the Internal Revenue Service will be able to offer a variety of dubious excuses under new legislation he introduced a week after the IRS offered an incredibly dubious excuse for its failure to turn documents over to House investigators.

“The United States was founded on the belief government is subservient and accountable to the people. Taxpayers shouldn’t be expected to follow laws the Obama administration refuses to follow themselves,” said Stockman. “Taxpayers should be allowed to offer the same flimsy, obviously made-up excuses the Obama administration uses.”

Under Stockman’s bill, “The Dog Ate My Tax Receipts Act,” taxpayers who do not provide documents requested by the IRS can claim one of the following reasons:

1. The dog ate my tax receipts
2. Convenient, unexplained, miscellaneous computer malfunction
3. Traded documents for five terrorists
4. Burned for warmth while lost in the Yukon
5. Left on table in Hillary’s Book Room
6. Received water damage in the trunk of Ted Kennedy’s car
7. Forgot in gun case sold to Mexican drug lords
8. Forced to recycle by municipal Green Czar
9. Was short on toilet paper while camping
10. At this point, what difference does it make?

Obamacare showing signs of ‘financial death spiral’

Analyst: 'You've got an insurance pool that is probably sicker than average'

A new Department of Health and Human Services, or HHS, report designed to show Obamacare is increasing access and lowering health costs may actually provide evidence that the program could be in the first stages of a financial death spiral.

When the Obamacare exchanges opened last year, most patients were expected to enroll in the least expensive, “bronze” plans. However, Wednesday’s “Premium Affordability, Competition, and Choice in the Health Insurance Marketplace, 2014″ report from HHS shows a much larger than expected number of Americans enrolling in the “silver” plans.

National Center for Public Policy Research health-care policy analyst David Hogberg said that could be very significant to the financial future of the U.S. health-care system.

“About 65 percent of enrollees have chosen a silver plan,” he said. “One of the theories behind this has to do with the fact that if you earn 250 percent of the federal poverty level or less, and you choose a silver plan, you get an additional subsidy to help you with your plan’s cost-sharing. So not only do you get a subsidy to help you with your premiums, you also get one to help you pay for deductibles, co-pays and other types of cost-sharing.”

The 'National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration' (NOAA) Has Been Fiddling with Temperatures

The US has actually been cooling since the Thirties, the hottest decade on record

When future generations try to understand how the world got carried away around the end of the 20th century by the panic over global warming, few things will amaze them more than the part played in stoking up the scare by the fiddling of official temperature data. There was already much evidence of this seven years ago, when I was writing my history of the scare, The Real Global Warming Disaster.

But now another damning example has been uncovered by Steven Goddard’s US blog Real Science, showing how shamelessly manipulated has been one of the world’s most influential climate records, the graph of US surface temperature records published by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

Goddard shows how, in recent years, NOAA’s US Historical Climatology Network (USHCN) has been “adjusting” its record by replacing real temperatures with data “fabricated” by computer models. The effect of this has been to downgrade earlier temperatures and to exaggerate those from recent decades, to give the impression that the Earth has been warming up much more than is justified by the actual data.

Why my children will not be inheriting my £180m fortune, by Sting

As one of the world’s most successful rock stars, he has risen from an impoverished childhood to amass a huge fortune.

Now Sting has made it clear that his children will also have to earn their own way and should not expect to benefit from his £180 million earnings.

In a frank interview in today’s Mail on Sunday Event magazine, the former Police frontman said he expected his three sons and three daughters to work, and added that there would not be much left to inherit anyway.

Sting, 62, who still has more than 100 people on his payroll, said: ‘I told them there won’t be much money left because we are spending it! We have a lot of commitments. What comes in, we spend, and there isn’t much left.’

He added: ‘I certainly don’t want to leave them trust funds that are albatrosses round their necks.

‘They have to work. All my kids know that and they rarely ask me for anything, which I really respect and appreciate.

‘Obviously, if they were in trouble I would help them, but I’ve never really had to do that. They have the work ethic that makes them want to succeed on their own merit.’

Sting is not the only celebrity who expects their children to stand on their own feet.

Celebrity chef Nigella Lawson said a few years ago: ‘I am determined that my children should have no financial security. It ruins people not having to earn money.’

Housing Falters as Forecasters See U.S. Sales Drop: Mortgages

The two-year-old U.S. housing recovery is faltering.

The Mortgage Bankers Association lowered its new and existing home sales forecast for 2014 to 5.28 million — a decrease of 4.1 percent that would be the first annual drop in four years. The industry group also cut its prediction on mortgage lending volume for purchases to $751 billion, an 8.7 percent decline and the first retreat in three years.

Bullish forecasts in early 2014 from MBA, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have been sideswiped by rising home prices and an economy that isn’t producing higher paying jobs.

The share of Americans who said they planned to buy a home in the next six months plunged to 4.9 percent last month from 7.4 percent at the end of 2013, the highest in records going back to 1964, according to the Conference Board, a research firm in New York.

Mark Cuban Warns That A Housing Bubble-Like Bust Is Coming To America's Colleges

Mark Cuban thinks colleges are going to go out of business.

In a clip on Inc.com, Cuban talks about the student loan bubble, which he says will burst and end badly for colleges.

The end of the student loan bubble, Cuban says, will be like the housing bubble, where tuition collapses the way the price of homes collapsed.

These collapses will put colleges out of business.

Cuban:

"It's inevitable at some point there will be a cap on student loan guarantees. And when that happens you're going to see a repeat of what we saw in the housing market: when easy credit for buying or flipping a house disappeared we saw a collapse in the price housing, and we're going to see that same collapse in the price of student tuition, and that's going to lead to colleges going out of business."

Florida Governor Signs Five Pro-Gun Measures Into Law, Including ‘Pop Tart’ And ‘Warning Shot’ Bills

One of the most controversial of the pack was HB89, which changes the interpretation of the threatened use of force. It will make it legal in the state for one to effectively display a weapon in a self-defense situation if proper justifications are met.

Inflation? Only If You Look At Food, Water, Gas, Electricity And Everything Else

Have you noticed that prices are going up rapidly? If so, you are certainly not alone. But Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen, the Obama administration and the mainstream media would have us believe that inflation is completely under control and exactly where it should be. Perhaps if the highly manipulated numbers that they quote us were real, everything would be fine. But of course the way that the inflation rate is calculated has been changed more than 20 times since the 1970s, and at this point it bears so little relation to reality that it is essentially meaningless. Anyone that has to regularly pay for food, water, gas, electricity or anything else knows that inflation is too high. In fact, if inflation was calculated the same way that it was back in 1980, the inflation rate would be close to 10 percent right now.

But you would never know that listening to Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen. In the video posted below, you can listen to her telling the media that there is absolutely nothing to be concerned about…

7 Trademarks That Obama's Patent Office Declared Less Offensive Than 'Redskins'

On Wednesday, the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board canceled six federal trademarks held by the Washington Redskins involving the team’s name. In the board’s opinion, the term Redskins is “disparaging to Native Americans at the respective times they were registered.”

Of course lost in this so-called controversy is the fact that, despite the Democrat activists who got Obama to act, polls show the vast majority of Native Americans are not offended by the Redskins moniker. And in fact dozens of Native-majority school districts use the “Redskins” team name themselves, including one Arizona school that is 100% Navajo.

All of this leaves us wondering: which trademarks areless offensive according to US Patent and Trademark Office? Well, here are 7 trademarked terms that apparently rank lower on Obama’s offense radar:

1. Cracka Azz Skateboards: This trademark is used for skateboards, longboards and clothing. USPTO says, “The wording ‘cracka azz’ has no meaning in a foreign language.” Yes, we know. It’s slang for “cracker” and is used as insult against whites, primarily within the black community.

JUDGE HAS 'EPIPHANY' IN RULING AGAINST CHRISTIANS

Suggests law include 'conscience clause' for business owners to live faith

Peter and Hazelmary Bull run a bed and breakfast in the United Kingdom and were sued by two homosexuals when the Christian couple refused to rent them a bedroom in their business, which also is their home.

The fight brought on by the homosexuals went all the way to the nation’s highest court, resulting in an order that the Christian couple pay the “gay” duo a couple thousand dollars in damages.

All based on the idea of “nondiscrimination” laws where homosexuals are protected, but Christians are not. That Christians’ beliefs and practices must cede to the trendy notion of homosexuality.

It was one of the earliest cases – which now have spread across the globe and are being repeated in several locations in the United States – in which judicial authorities are ordering Christians to violate their faith in order to accommodate the desires of “gays.”

Now a key judge in that British court case is having second thoughts.

Serious second thoughts.

Fears of EPA ‘land grab’ create groundswell against water rule

Lawmakers are up in arms over an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposal that they fear could give federal officials expansive new powers over private property and farmland.

The EPA is seeking to redefine what bodies of water fall under the agency’s jurisdiction for controlling pollution. The scope of the final Clean Water Act (CWA) rule is of critical importance, as any area covered would require a federal permit for certain activities.

The rule is facing a groundswell of opposition from lawmakers, who fear the EPA is engaged in a “land grab” that could stop farmers and others from building fences, digging ditches or draining ponds.

More than 260 lawmakers, spanning both chambers and parties, have come out against the EPA’s action.

A group of 231 members of the House recently sent a letter to the EPA and the Army Corps asking them to withdraw the regulation. The group included almost the entire House Republican conference, as well as 19 Democrats.

“Although your agencies have maintained that the rule is narrow and clarifies CWA jurisdiction, it in face aggressively expands federal authority under the CWA while bypassing Congress and creating unnecessary ambiguity,” the lawmakers wrote.

Ellen Sauerbrey Endorses Craig Campaign

Dear Fellow Republican,

Over the last eight years, we have seen how a tax and spend agenda accompanied by over- regulation and unnecessary intrusions into our daily lives has forced families and businesses to look elsewhere to locate or grow.Harford County Executive David Craig’s comprehensive plan to phase out the personal income tax will reverse that flight quickly.

I’ve known David for twenty five years as a public servant, educator, family man and friend. I know that David is a proven conservative who possesses the experience, vision, and proven leadership to turn this state around.

That is why I heartily endorse David Craig and his great running mate Delegate Jeannie Haddaway of Talbot County, to be Maryland’s next Governor and Lt. Governor.

As a City Councilman, Mayor, Delegate, State Senator and two-term County Executive, David Craig is the ONLY candidate for Governor, on either side, who has actually had to run a government.

Serving as Mayor of Havre de Grace and County Executive, he balanced 18 responsible budgets and led the county through the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression, all without raising taxes. In fact, despite the added costs dumped on counties by the O’Malley-Brown Administration, David lowered taxes by $50 million. As a result of his fiscal conservatism and steady vision, during his tenure Harford County was upgraded to AAA bond rating status, reducing costs to the taxpayer.

He implemented new technology and used common sense solutions and proven business practices to reduce the size of government. And he developed an aggressive economic growth strategy that supports small business and entrepreneurship. During an unfavorable state economic climate, David’s policies helped bring over 10,000 private sector jobs to the county along with 93 new businesses.

A 10th-generation Marylander, David worked thirty-four years in the Harford County Public School System as a teacher and assistant principal. He is a graduate of Towson University and holds a Master’s Degree from Morgan State University.

David Craig’s leadership at the city, county and state level in education, economic growth, job creation, the environment, public safety, and managing a budget proves that he is the only candidate with a real record of success and the proven experience to lead all of Maryland.

We have a tremendous opportunity to give Maryland the choice of an experienced leader for Governor, a competent and proven leader with successful on-the-job experience who will need no on-the-job training. So, if you really want to take back your state and move Maryland in a better direction, I urge you to join me in supporting and nominating David Craig for Governor. Whatever the outcome tomorrow, it is critical that Republicans unite immediately after the Primary behind our nominee.

Sincerely,

Ellen Sauerbrey

P.S. David has had a true grassroots campaign traveling tirelessly to meet with Republicans from Ocean City to Oakland. And he is one of two Republican candidates who could qualify for $2.58 million in public funding, as the GOP nominee.

The IRS Had a Contract With an Email Backup Company

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) said it can't provide emails sent between 2009 and 2011 that were requested by congressional investigators because of hard drive crashes.

The agency said that emails stored on dead drives were lost forever because its email backup tapes were recycled every six months, and employees were responsible for keeping their own long-term archives.

The IRS had a contract with email backup service vendor Sonasoft starting in 2005,according to FedSpending.org, which lists the contract as being for "automatic data processing services." Sonasoft's motto is "email archiving done right," and the company lists the IRS as a customer.

The Feds Wanted to Turn This Hotel into a Refugee Camp…But They Made a Major Error

Searching for places to house the “overwhelm[ing]” influx of Mexican and Central American children crossing the U.S. southern border without parents or guardians, government officials scouted out an abandoned hotel in Grand Island, New York on Friday.

Or at least the government thought the hotel was abandoned.

As it turned out, the 263-room Byblos Niagara Resort and Spa was fully booked.

“It looks like there’s been a mistake,” federal agents with the Homeland Security Department and the Border Patrol told the hotel manager, according to the Buffalo News.

“They were thinking the hotel was abandoned and closed,” the manager said.

Town To Sell Gas To Citizens At Wholesale Prices

With the cost of gasoline so high, some are forced to spend what would otherwise be added to their disposable income just to get back and forth to work. One town in Kentucky is taking the matter into their own hands by opening a city run filling station.

Somerset, Kentucky has partnered with a recently reopened local refinery to open to the public the fueling center that already provides the fuel for all city vehicles. Officials expect the gas sold there to cost upwards of 10 cent per gallon less than that being sold at normal filling stations.

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau already sinking into scandal

It’s great to have Uncle Sam looking out for the little guy, isn’t it? That’s why it was such a super-duper, nifty idea for Washington to summon into being the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. It was created as part of the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act back in 2010, but was originally the brainstorm of now Senator Elizabeth Warren. (You may recall she was initially slated to head the agency, but that was derailed by Congress.) So now that they are on the job, keeping citizens safe from big banking fat cats and ensuring financial responsibility and ethics, how are they doing?

Well… pretty much on par with what you’d expect out of any massive Washington bureaucracy. Right out of the gate, they inflated the cost of refurbishing their new digs by more than 100%, though they’ve tried to deny it.

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray evidently is feeling unfamiliar heat after resorting to a disreputable form of sophistry as a substitute for honest discussion and debate. During a June 10 hearing of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee, for example, Cordray responded to a question from Sen. Mike Johanns, R-Neb., on the ballooning cost of CFPB’s headquarters renovation by saying: “This has been out there and taken as gospel in the public record for some time. It’s a fiction of the Washington Examiner that this project started out at $55 million and now has ballooned to higher proportions. There never was any expectation that this project could be completed for $55 million. That is false.”

Major Obama donor charged with bribing medical professionals

One of the major financial backers of President Barrack Obama's 2012 re-election campaign has been indicted in an alleged multi-million dollar insurance swindle.

Kareem Ahmed, the president and CEO of Ontario firm Landmark Medical Management, is accused of masterminding the scheme and is facing charged of conspiracy, insurance fraud and involuntary manslaughter, according to TPM.

Ahmed and 15 of his associates - most of them doctors and one pharmacist - were indicted by a California grand jury, TPM reported.

He is accused of developing topical cream formulas 'based on the profitability of the ingredients' and bribing doctors who treated workers' compensation patients to prescribe them.

Ole' Blue

A young cowboy from Texas goes off to college. Halfway through the semester, having foolishly squandered all his money... he calls home.

"Dad," he says, "You won't believe what modern education is developing!

They actually have a program hered at A&M that will teach our dog, Ole' Blue how to talk!"

"That's amazing," his Dad says. "How do I get Ole' Blue in that program?"

"Just send him down here with $1,000," the young cowboy says "and I'll get him in the course."

So, his father sends the dog and $1,000.

About two-thirds of the way through the semester, the money again runs out. The boy calls home.

"So how's Ole' Blue doing son?" his father asks. "Awesome, Dad, he's talking up a storm," he says,

"but you just won't believe this, they've had such good results they have started to teach the animals how to read!"

"Read!?" says his father, "No kidding! How do we get Blue in that program?"

"Just send $2,500, I'll get him in the class." The money promptly arrives. But our hero has a problem.

At the end of the year, his father will find out the dog can neither talk, nor read. So he shoots the dog.

When he arrives home at the end of the year, his father is all excited. "Where's Ole' Blue? I just can't wait to see him read something and talk!"

"Dad," the boy says, "I have some grim news. Yesterday morning, just before we left to drive home, Ole' Blue was in the living room, kicked back in the recliner, reading the Wall Street Journal, like he usually does".

"Then Ole' Blue turned to me and asked, so, is your daddy still messing around with that little redhead who lives down the street?"

The father went white and exclaimed, "I hope you shot that lying dog before he talks to your mother!"

"I sure did, Dad!" "That's my boy!"

The kid went on to law school, and now serves in Washington D.C. as a Congressman!!!!!!
