Salisbury City Council President Jake Day Found GUILTY

  1. Ninety bucks is all? You or me would have paid well over $200. Is he still suspended?

  2. That is awesome that he is found guilty. I do agree that he should have been paying more of a fine.

  3. Why wasn't Jake Day or his attorney present?

  4. Now that he's owned up , can he be voted in again?

  5. Just one of many tickets.

  6. A speeding ticket alone is in excess of 100 bucks. How can this (fine) be?

  7. Perhaps many of you are missing it. Click the READ MORE button at the bottom of the article.

  8. He got off on the suspended and was fined for not having a physical license on him.

    Special treatment?

  10. Joe, if you're such an awesome journalist why don't you give Jake a call and find out his side of the story, rather than just relying on speculation and hearsay?

Oh, right, because you're not actually a journalist.

  11. anonymous 9:21, First of all, Jake doesn't answer or return phone calls. Been there, done that.

Secondly, the Court documents speak for themselves. I'll provide another article on Monday going over more specifics on this matter.

Finally, Governor O'Malley provided me with a State Press Pass because he knows Salisbury News delivers more traffic and news than anyone else on the Shore.

You can make all the claims you want and try to attack me but the facts remain, I/We are Main Stream media, like it or not.

  12. LOL 9:21! Like Jake Day would ever talk to Joe. He is afraid of Joe because he is the quintessential politician and they can't stand hearing it the way it is and not the way they want people to believe it is. Day would rather be glued to the toilet with a major case of diarrhea then talk to Joe.

  13. No fine for driving on a suspended license? Who was the judge? If both Day and his attorney were not present it sure sounds like a sweet plea deal. I guess because he's the adjutant general's chauffer?

  14. wow the DA makes a solid citizen jump through hoops and remands him to pay child support for a minority child he could not have sired-
Then we have Jake Day not even be compelled to spend a day in Court- who sees his obligation for breaking the law reduced with no Court Costs or even jurisprudence rendered on the original charge.
Sounds like creativity abounds over on Baptist Street

  15. This is a first for me to see, I have never seen the state bargain a plea deal to the lesser of charges! Even if it was a clerical error as Day claimed, suspended is suspended till it is cleared up! I am a grandson of a judge and was not shown nor expected special treatment, if anything it went against me for I should have known better. Our politicians have become no better than the soviet cold war era Politburo!

I was expecting some more media event sentence like community service which would be played up into a Martyr situation
Not surprised, disappointed in the election of more than one fool yes but not surprised

  17. The "READ MORE" link is working fine. Once clicked it will seem like it is the same page but if you scroll down you will see the other court cases listed.

  18. Joe Albero does more of a service to Salisbury than Jake Day. Joe communicates and leads movements. Jake lacks communication and leadership skills.

Jake Day never returns any calls or emails. He loves himself so much it is disturbing.

He used his family money to get off on these charges. Money buys "justice" in this state. Sad.

Jake should do an interview on this.

  19. It should be noted that the Motor Vehicle Administration is a pretty BIG organization and they DO make mistakes.

There is a chance that there could have been a clerical error processing Jake's first fine, I don't know. I will say that even I, (at one point) had my license suspended without my knowledge and Motor Vehicle was in the wrong.

This could explain why the two charges were dropped without an attorney or Jake being present. I'm speculating, so you now.

  20. $90 is the present fine for 10-19 over the speed limit. He paid the fine, which is the right of everyone else and did not appear in court. Which enters the case as a guilty plea is case search and closes the case.

  21. What a Dirt Bag! He looks stupid in his high and tight.

  22. I thought the fine in Sby was 110 bucks. more than a fine on a hwy. where the limits are much higher.

  23. He was speeding OMG lock him up for this crime.

  24. 10:44 am it's not speeding once but multiple times moron. it's irresponsible behavior.

  27. This city is so like California , full of gays , stupid politicians , dumb a$$ cops , and good ole boys , and I mean boys!

  28. Jake Day is on FB promoting Josh Hastings for the Wicomico County Council District 3. I know who I am not voting for!! That is just what we need another left wing liberal running the county. I wonder if he is a law breaker like Jake Day is?

  29. Jake, apparently you never took your military service seriously. Remember, lead by deed. Now do the honorable thing and resign. You make a mockery of your public office as well as public safety.

  30. I have noticed that Muir Boda has been doing some serious Hob Knobbing with Jim Ireton, Chuck Cook and Jake Day. Now he is Buddy Buddy with newcomer Josh Hastings who is running for Gail Bartkovich's seat in District 3.

Now tell me which political party Muir Boda is registered with?

  31. I don't know if Hastings is a law breaker like Day but he sure seems a bit light in the loafers, like Jimmyboy.

  32. 2:59 I truely wish it was California.

I was thinking the same thing. Notice he didn't mention a spouse or even a girlfriend or children. My guess is he doesn't like women and this is another hand picked goon right up Chuck Cook's alley.

It was obvious the boy didn't even write his own press release. Someone like Chuck Cook is pulling his strings.

I heard Ron Pagano has filed to run against Joe Holloway in District 5. Did anyone else hear that?
