Driver In U.S. Capitol Car Chase ID'd As Conn. Woman

The FBI executed a search warrant in the city on Thursday in connection with a car chase from the White House to the U.S. Capitol that ended with the driver, a local woman, being shot to death, authorities said.

Stamford police were helping federal authorities as needed, Mayor Michael Pavia said. Police officers cordoned off a condominium building and the surrounding neighborhood in the shoreline city.

Condo resident Eric Bredow, a banker, said police told him the suspect in the car chase was one of his neighbors.

  2. And she didn't have a gun. All those shots were fired by police.

Not to diss the officers but doesn't this smell of being a police state. Remember Nazi Germany with the brown shirts?

  3. 2 Things,

1-use a car as a deadly weapon... Get shot. 2000 lb vehicle is a deadly weapon, it was a AR Car with 4 tires and extended gas tank.

2-why is it all the nuts come from Conn. Are they bored or is government experimenting with water there. I bet she was registered Democrack

  4. Well the media is certain to bury this story--she was a black woman with mental issues.

  5. 8:22 I do not understand your point, as 7:54 mentioned, why did they not shoot out her tires? As seen in a news video, they were most certainly close enough and were standing right at her window pointing the gun at her head. all he had to do was shift his aim and shoot both tires.

    1. Shooting tires out? One word: Hollywood. Turn the tv off

  6. Police Officers are not trained to shoot on the tires of a moving vehicle or stationary vehicle. Like the earlier comment, a vehicle is a deadly weapon, specially to a person standing on the road, a bullet proof vest is not going to stop the vehicle. If you watch the video, the vehicle and driver were totally out of control and speeding recklessly.

So what you are saying is the police allowed a deadly weapon back onto the streets instead of shooting out the tires.

so let me get this straight a car is speeding at you (remember cops were hurt) the first thought is to stop it no matter what. the woman chose to drive a car at human beings the woman chose to die. do not blame the police for doing what any human being would do. get a life

no, what they are saying is they eliminated the threat. in dummy language, "they shot the woman". cars don't kill people...people driving cars kill people. get it? like the whole gun thing? guns don't kill people...people kill..well, nevermind. this might be too much for you to handle.

I think you should watch the video. The police had her surrounded and stopped with guns drawn. She managed to escape. With them being so close they could have easily fired a round into the tires to prevent her from driving away and endangering others.

  11. This was some sort of mind control experiment from what I'm seeing. She was most likely given a key word that activated the order to ram the barrackade and then do anything possible to escape. She more than likely had been hypnotized at an earlier date. The shame of it is that she had no idea what she was doing.

  12. Yes lets fire at tires of a wildly erratic moving vehicle when it is surrounded by multiple officer. Great idea, so not only the vehicle is not going to be disabled, we now how have shot officers. Good call. Turn off the TV, this is the real world. Most departments prohibit shooting tires out, warning shots, etc. She clearly used the vehicle as a weapon and intentionally was trying to hit officers. She played the game and lost. Thank you officers for risking your necks for an ungreatful society.

I have yet to hear a rational explanation for why she was shot. The story seems to be that she was out of the car and running when she was shot (what the police said). What she did in the car is no longer justification when she's out of it and can't pose that threat anymore.

The story is now she never got out of the car. The car got stuck in a median when she tried to make a u-turn, and that's when they shot her, multiple times, and killed her.

I have also read the police got the baby out before they shot at the car the first time.

I have also seen where they think someone was in the passenger seat too.

We will probably never know the whole truth. Maybe no truth at all. It wouldn't be the first time something was covered up, or police lied.

A question for people who say a car is a weapon, if the car was stopped, stuck in the median, it is still considered a weapon even thought it cannot move?

  17. Unlike other countries, the US does not have a panel that slams the lid on potential lawsuits. If anyone has been listening to the news today regarding this incident, they can see the suit forming. Her sister is claiming that she was perfectly normal and not delusional. All other indicators suggest otherwise.A higher court needs to nip this in the bud.If family members see no profit potential they'll go away.
