SEXUAL HARASSMENT {UNDERWEAR SHOWING}

Mr Mayor,I have been visiting OCMD x 7 yrs and have been disgusted with Teen/Adults walking around the town with there pants half way down EXPOSING there underwear, I have been hearing there has been an on going problem with this in Not only OCMD but NJ too, I have a 6 y/o boy and visit OC every summer for most of the events, I think it is inappropriate for Teens and Adults to be walking around town showing there underwear I consider this Sexual Harassment and something needs to be done about it, I talked to numerous council members which the majority of them support some kind of Enforcement and law, I am for supporting anyone's rights, but the scale is being Tipped and Is NOT fair to others who see this ongoing Nonsense, I hope you take myself and others feeling about this situation serious as I am sure i can speak for others too that we love OCMD and want to see it prosper in a good light not a Negative Light.
Thank You.
Paul Adams

  1. Sexual Harassment? Really? You're attempt to use dramatic language to make a point makes you look fairly ignorant. Do you think that the intention of someone wearing sagging pants is to have sexual relations with you?

While I agree that people that dress like this are ridiculous and look utterly stupid let's keep a couple things in mind. When they wear their pants like this they aren't exposing body parts, they are exposing underwear, normally boxers. How is that any less appropriate than a woman walking around in a bikini or even a one- piece swimsuit? How is it any different than a man walking around without a shirt on? Are you going to ban people from walking on the BEACH boardwalk from wearing bathing suits as well? Are you going to put up a wall to shield people on the boardwalk from seeing people on the beach wearing swimsuits?

This is a matter of taste and shouldn't be something dictated by law.

I personally think the sagging pants do a great job of advertising and identifying the idiots to the rest of us.

    1. If he feels its sexual harassment, that is his right to feel that way. I totally support how ANYONE feels. Your comment, tho it may "seem" intelligent, also makes you sound like a complete a$$hole. You may be educated, but your in idiot in life. Especially when you somewhat agree with his issue..or is that too ignorant for you to comprehend? WAY TO GO PAUL ADAMS! SPEAK YOUR PIECE BROTHER!

  2. There is a law on the books ALREADY. It's called indecent exposure.
Just bend it to fit like cops do for other "infractions" that really do not meet the criteria of a crime.

  3. You're at the beach. Do you also complain about the girls in bikinis and men in speedos?

  6. Amen to that. As an Ocean City resident I am also sick of seeing people with their butts and b$$bs hanging out in the stores and restaurants. Please put on a cover up when you are not on the beach.

The guys with their pants hanging below their waist need to be run out of town. They are trouble!

Makes you wonder where these lowlifes come up with the money to afford a hotel room. Years ago we could go down and spend a night or two in a hotel and it didn't cost a fortune. You are better off getting a hotel or rental in NC and driving the 5 hours. It's cheaper and not as crowded and there are hardly ANY thugs.

  13. I totally agree! Show a little class when you dress. When your ON the beach is one thing but going into restaurants or shops, dress appropriately. I'm all for bikinis, not so much for speedos..esp while I'm eating crabs! Have some pride in yourselfs.

  15. First of all, Paul needs to learn some grammer. That is one looooooong sentence.

Second I agree with him. I refuse to go to OCMD between May and September. But, it isn't just OCMD, it is the entire concept. Does anyone know where the idea of having your drawers hanging out of our pants started? PRISONS. It was sign to show if you were someone's b1tch or not.

My wife works for an temp agency and they will refuse to interview anyone who come in with their pants down. They are told to go out, pull their pants up and then come in and try again.

Kids who do it - PULL UP YOUR PANTS!!!!!! I don't want to see your boxers. And I don't want to know if your someone's butt buddy.

Adults who do it - GROW UP...It isn't cool when your 30+ and your underware is hanging out. It is just sick and wrong in sooooo many way.

  16. If this passes it will cost the city a fortune in court. Lawyers would love to see this stupid unconstitutional law pass.

  18. It could be considered indecent exposure (and is in some areas) and all depends on state and local laws governing this topic. Saggy pants aren't much different than someone walking around in just their underwear depending on how indecent exposure is defined in the law. To the question of how is underwear any different than a bathing suit. Legally there is a difference and that is all that matters. A lot of beaches (and neighborhoods w/pools) currently only allow bathing suits on the beach (or pool) itself.

  20. "This is a matter of taste and shouldn't be something dictated by law."

By that same logic so is the preference to order a large soda currently banned in NY for health reasons. These young men whose taste dictates to them to wear their pants in this fashion are surely harming themselves due to the abnormal way they must walk to keep the pants from falling down.

  21. As a lifelong resident of Salisbury, I have spent nearly every summer in Ocean City. To be honest, I was just there last weekend and I can't even recall staring people down on the boardwalk and thinking "Gosh, their pants are too low or baggy"... however, I did think to myself many of times, "uhm she should probably cover up her booty and boobs." Guys aren't walking around with their private areas hanging out. However, would it be perfectly acceptable for these men to walk down the boardwalk in a Speedo so everyone can actually semi see what is under their clothing? There is just no way that anyone can control who wears what & how, especially on the boardwalk. People that have been at the beach all day aren't going to get fully clothed to walk down the boards and grab some food or to play games. How would that even be enforced? You get a citation for wearing your clothing how it's comfortable to you? If they want to look like idiots and like they have no sense then allow them to do such.

Before you comment on someone's grammar maybe you should learn to spell the word correctly.

  23. I don't care for the idea of an ordinance dictating dress in public areas, but have no problem with a public education campaign or a business refusing service. Not everything needs to be legislated.

  26. I'm tired of looking at the baggy saggy showing the underwear jean style outfits on the beach. And, I am also tired of the peek a boo body bikini wearing beach goer too. If you people are tired of all this, stop going to OCMD. I haven't been to OCMD in years. Every generation have their own freedom of expression. The writer expressing his complaint about the dress code of beach goers is ridiculous. I'm quite sure, back in the days, he had his own questionable dress code that pissed off the older generation in his time.

  35. Don't go to OCMD then. Don't like the song on the radio, or the host... don't listen. Don't like guns, don't buy one.

Idiots always worried about others, and not tending to their own yard. You will live a longer life not occupying your time worried about what someone elses kids are doing, styles of today's youth, what someone does in their own time, etc.

    Sexual Harassment? Child please.

  37. Here's how this is done. Stop going. Spend your money someplace else. When the business community feels the pain, so will the City, County, and State. Oh, I just remembered, the State is controlled by Democrats, so OC will rot in hell. Might as well go to New Jersey beaches where they put up with this kind of crap.

  38. and I like to add I don't wanna see fat women wearing tight shorts with fat wedgies up their butt either.

  39. Seems to me a when I was a kid growing up in O.C. there was a dress code on the boardwalk. Men could not go shirtless, women had to cover up when leaving the beach and going on the boardwalk. Anyone remember this???

  40. Sheeple are so funny!!! I have two teenagers and totally agree with the first comment. I would knock the crap outta my son for walking around with their underwares hanging out. I would also give the same to my daughter for walking around anywhere but the beach with her lady parts super revealed. She's 19.
However, while some females are beautiful in their swimming attire, some on the other hand are very very offensive, and I won't even start on a man in a speedo. OMG. Please spare us. So some dummies sportin the sag is the least of my worries!!!
