Following the finding of guilt, Judge Marsh imposed a sentence of eighteen (18) months of active incarceration at the Wicomico County Detention Center.
Pursuant to the terms of the plea agreement, the Defendant paid restitution to Salisbury University in the amount of $494.00 to pay for the costs associated with removing the graffiti from University property.
Additionally, the terms of the plea required that the Defendant admit responsibility for each of the racist and sometimes gender related discriminatory graffiti found on the campus on October 8th, 2019, October 10, 2019, October 22, 2019, November 4, 2019 and February 19, 2020.
State’s Attorney (SA) for Wicomico County, Jamie Dykes thanked Judge Marsh for insightful and thoughtful remarks during the hearing. SA Dykes went on to say, “It is my hope that this verdict and sentence brings accountability, finality and justice to the staff, faculty, students, prospective students and parents of the Salisbury University community.”
SA Dykes commended the Salisbury University Police Department and Dr. Charles Wight and his executive staff for their hard work and dedication during this investigation. SA Dykes further thanked Deputy State’s Attorney Billy McDermott and Assistant State’s Attorney Ajene Turnbull both of whom prosecuted this case.
But don't worry, Bob Culver took down the General Winder sign to appease this thug!
ReplyDelete18 months is not long enough ! I demand he not ls+ any kind of early release. His sentence isn't long enough to begin with. These bleeding heart judges and states attorneys are scared to death to make a stiff sentence when its a hate crime done by blacks to white people, but look out if it's the other way around...........No sentence is too much then.
ReplyDeleteHe'll be out very soon. I'll guess before fall.
DeleteHow many white people have gone to jail for graffiti? There is more to this story.
Delete5:50 You’ve said that twice. If you know something spit it out or are you just mad a black dude got caught?
DeleteWhite people very rarely write racist graffiti again and again like this loser did.
DeleteJussie
ReplyDeleteIt's about damn time one of these agitators received prison time. This should make national news. Send it to all the outlets.
ReplyDeleteJune 12, 2020 at 3:05 PM
ReplyDeleteHe will be out in half the time.
Great but the two black girls that drew the stick figure hanging got away with it!
ReplyDeleteA black person convicted of a hate crime - I'm glad they prosecuted and convicted...
ReplyDeleteThey are always spun as the victim and never the perpetrator!
You’re dumb lol. He probably didn’t commit the crime.
DeleteI think he is the fall guy. This is not adding up.
DeleteOut in 4. BULLSHIT. CORRUPT judge
ReplyDeleteIf a white had actually done this. He'd would have been given 5 years at least.
If had been a white person he wouldn't have gotten a day in jail. Check your history.
DeleteJust like the two black girls?? Check your history douchebag. As if you can look back that far RACIST.
DeleteA white person would not have done such a thing. Not in the last 40 or 50 years at least.
DeleteWhere is the apology to the white community?
DeleteJudge Marsh rocks. Where is the apology from Chuck? Mr. Jackson should have to pay for the new position at SU
ReplyDeleteIs it possible he suffers from mental illness?
DeleteWho cares. Tired of that old B.S. excuse. If he was I'm sure his counsel would have used that in his defense.
DeleteSomething is wrong with this situation.
Delete5:54 Ok Jussie🙄
DeleteHow did he get inside the locked building the last time to provoke his race baiting??
ReplyDeleteThe buildings aren't locked all day
DeleteWhat about the cost associated with closing the school? Where is THAT restitution? My child is a student there. There are other very REAL costs that he is not being held accountable for. If he was white...LIKE EVERYONE ASSUMED...he would have been held to a higher standard and would have been made to pay more restitution and served a longer sentence. Where is President Wight’s apology to Caucasian’s? He jumped the gun and assumed it was a white student, just like Jake Day. Where is his apology and admission of “rushing to judgment”? Where is the black student groups apology? Typical...CRICKETS
ReplyDeleteGreat outcome!!
ReplyDeleteJamie D is a joke. Ask her about jumping the gun on SPD officers on disclosures for truthfulness in advance of an investigation against them and before having them interviewed. I’m curious if she has jumped the gun on all officers with making disclosures, or if she’s allowed some better treatment than others!
ReplyDeleteShe gave this suspect a due process, does she do the same for all officers?
What was the minimum sentence 18 months ?
ReplyDeleteIs it possible he suffers from mental illness?
ReplyDeleteAnything is possible. When he gets out, the judge should order him to undergo a psychological evaluation.
DeleteI think all the black community leaders need to make a statement about this. Pronto. White Privilege my a$$. Now what?
ReplyDeleteMake a “statement”? They need to acknowledge their black privilege, and apologize to the white community.
DeleteY’all got any more of dat fake racism ?
ReplyDeleteSo I guess it proved the whole racial problem at SU was a hoax?
ReplyDeleteYes. Manufactured by the real racists.
Delete7:13 Bingo!
DeleteWow. I thought only Whites were racist ?
ReplyDeleteY’all can’t really believe this is the actual person who did this....lol.
ReplyDeleteFall guy!!!
Delete5:17 Y’all mad he’s one of yours and got caught😂🤣
Delete$494?!! What about the cost of closing down the college?
ReplyDeleteHe'll be out before "this year's racist hoax" at SU is complete. It seems as though it's a yearly part of the curriculum over there
ReplyDeleteWhere is the apology from Chuck? Mr. Jackson should have to pay for the new position at SU
ReplyDeleteI agree the black community should make a statement condemning. I don't blame any other person but him but it would be the gracious and more important the Christian thing to do.
ReplyDeleteThere are rumors he was put up to it but at the end of the day it's all on him. He didn't have to do it.
Good!!! but wanna know what is more of a problem that needs fixing..how quickly the ignorant foolish useful idiots jump in goose step to the typical racist narrative...its whites fault. That was this guys intentions correct? So the university in thier assumed position of bent over, as does the state of maryland to any hot libtarded agenda topic of the day. The university has proven once again. The big lie and false narrative of twisted ideagogy its foster and supports is Facist!! they are the very people they condemn.the attitudes they displayed are the very same of the lynch mobs of the past.

ReplyDeleteHe was paid to do it and got his dumb ass caught. The real culprits behind this Jake Day, Kirkland Hall, Dan O'Hare, Jane's Yawakama. Did I miss anyone??
ReplyDeleteIs anyone aware his wife is a Vice principal for Somerset County public schools. Birds of a feather flock together! She should be fired as well.
ReplyDeleteWhy???
DeleteSo, what would a person get if he or she looked like Trump??? I challenge any lib to answer this honestly.
ReplyDeleteWonder what Jackson's wife thinks about this. Does she agree with what he did? Can she offer an explanation? It might be an important question to ask since she is a public elementary school vice principal.
ReplyDeleteWhat say you now Jake Day? How about you Mary Ashanti?
ReplyDeleteHilarious is he the first black man to be charged with hate crimes against blacks? I wonder how far spread this really is?
ReplyDeleteI say he didnt do it
ReplyDeleteThis doesn't pass the smell test.
DeleteThis piece of sh*t was tagged with and pled guilty of a hate crime. He was never arrested for this! Can you think of any circumstance where a person is charged with a hate crime and not arrested?
ReplyDeleteOf course not! This does not pass the smell test.
Joe, who led the investigation and can you get the details using the freedom of information act?
ReplyDelete
