Superintendent Dr. Donna Hanlin has issued THE CHALLENGE
LETS DO IT!!.....Wicomico County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Donna Hanlin has issued THE CHALLENGE to fellow superintendents in Dorchester, Somerset and Worcester Counties as to which school system can raise the most money for Imagination Library!
Imagination Library provides books to our county's youngest resident to provide a pathway to success in our schools.
So on FRIDAY MARCH 6th, ALL Wicomico County Public Schools will be holding a CASUAL DAY, and we are asking employees for a voluntary donation of $2, and students for a Voluntary donation of $1 to help us raise more money than our counterparts in Dorchester, Somerset and Worcester Counties for Imagination Library!
It's our chance to DRESS DOWN in order to have our students READ UP.
Watch Dr. Hanlin's amazing challenge video!
LET'S DO IT .... FRIDAY MARCH 6th ... CASUAL DAY .. both WCPS employees and students can help us with this worthwhile Challenge!
Sounds like another Healthy Holly scam to me. Where does Hanlin think the students will get the money to donate? Where does she think employees will get theirs? Hint: T*xp*yers.
ReplyDeletepiss off hanlin! I got a better idea, how about we start cutting your budget!
ReplyDeletecan't wait for my kid to get out of your zoo/mental institution called JMB!
How about a competition to see which school can go through an entire academic year without any arrests of students or faculty?
ReplyDeleteLet's do it .... Let's punish the Thugs.
ReplyDeleteDear Readers,
ReplyDeleteWhile I appreciate the fact that the good Dr. is attempting to make some positive steps forward, the much larger issue continues to be the safety issues the Wicomico County Schools are facing. Since the last 'summit', I have neither seen nor heard of any meaningful steps proposed beyond what is offered up in the press releases by Tracy Schaler. That said, the focus should be on meaningful steps to make schools safe. The general readership may not be aware of the fact that there are several schools currently on the persistently dangerous MSDE list, with all three city high schools and two of the four middle schools included. What is even more shocking is the list of elementary schools that are now on that list. I would suggest that a more meaningful work effort would be to correct this rather than continue to sweep it under the rug.
Kind Regards,
Paladin
Lets imagine she hasnt already wasted millions in taxes.
ReplyDeleteLets imagine our children are getting the very best education in a safe environment.
Lets imagine the current BOE isnt about to rob and pillage every tax payer for another 2thou a year.
Lets imagine she would actually speak to stop child predators from perverting children's minds in ANY county library anywhere.
Lets imagine this isnt a "send the children home to beg for more money" scheme.
The Wicomico County Library system sends TONS, yes, literally TONS of books to the Wicomico County landfill every year.
ReplyDeleteSome are dilapidated but most are in perfect condition.
Burning books ?
DeleteThose books dont have pictures
Deletei won't be there that day, me and Liz have a hot date on church st.
ReplyDeleteHow about imagine that Johny or Susie can read and write...not disruptive on class, or have a teacher buy drugs from them?
ReplyDeleteShe is only trying to divert your attention from all the horrible things that are going on in Wicomico county schools. How about a challenge to see which school can EXPEL the most trouble making thugs?
ReplyDeleteHow about using imagination money for your imagination library.
ReplyDeleteHow about dropping the "indoctrination" and put more effort into school safety and basics, such as reading writing arithmetic also cutting your budget to reflect progress of students instead of paying incompetent Teachers that you allow to be assaulted.
ReplyDeleteWant to impress try bringing discipline and professionalism back. Give the kids and teachers a fighting chance. If your not capable then step aside because you are failing us all.
ReplyDelete"...we are asking employees for a voluntary donation of $2, and students for a Voluntary donation of $1..."
ReplyDeleteWe have a list and will be checking off names as those people contribute.
I'll give you a dollar for every pos you expel. And I bet the teachers would jump on boardin a heart beat.
ReplyDeleteExtortion is a regular part of the Russian/Communist Education system.
ReplyDeleteYou want a good grade?
You bribe your professor with nice gifts.
I’ve seen the exchange first hand.
If you spiked her hair up she would look just like a troll doll.
ReplyDeleteScrew Donna Hanlin. What a waste of Oxygen!
ReplyDeleteI know some BOE members are going to be losing their elections over re-appointing this BIMBO!

Yeah, Chuckie!
This is another deflection to protect her Jakey Poo and Lizzy!
ReplyDeleteHave any of you commentators ever seen the inside of a school?
ReplyDeleteI bet you dropped out at 9th grade.
DeleteHow about teaching math students to make change? No store clerk under age of 50 can do it without tech help, register, phone, etc.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to all. If Wicomico wins its own challenge to see which school system contributes more, students and teachers in the other three counties should not be disappointed. They should remember the huge difference in enrollments:
ReplyDeleteWicomico 15,000 students
Worcester 6,500 students
Dorchester 4,700 students
Somerset 3,300 students
The Hot for Teacher Challenge !!! LOL
ReplyDeletethose kids don't want books, they want tablets and smart phones, She is asking teachers for 2$ and students a $. All the while kids go without lunch. Either they forgot it or forgot the money or just don't have either. The kids that get free lunch won't have it either because mommy and daddy won't give it to them. a lot of them are all about the entitlements, they take, they don't give! Just another dumb idea coming from Hanlin. More books for the landfill.
ReplyDeleteHot for Donna !!!! LOL LOL
