Is The Wicomico States Attorney Afraid To Tell The Truth?

After a long delay States Attorney Jamie Dykes continues to delay the press release exposing the corruption within the Salisbury Police Department.

It would appear Jamie Dykes is well controlled by the Good Ol' Boys and will follow their lead, as if this is going to go away? It's bad enough we had to watch the BS charges on Liz Day. Now it's Police Chief Barbara Duncan getting preferential treatment.

It looks like its time to find and elect a new States Attorney. What do you think?

  1. Yes, we need a states attorney who will not be led around by the nose and do their job as they are supposed to, unlike who we have now. Pitiful that she cannot think for herself and do her job.

  3. Because the PD doesn't know the full extent of which this has been going on or for how long... They are incapable of answering these questions. And afraid of the repercussions.

  4. What about the SU graffiti arrest? That is just as bad not releasing the information...

    1. Agreed. I'm sure they are very purposely letting time go by, awaiting a news cycle bigger distraction

    2. It doesn't fit the narrative so it won't be a grand public "ah haaaa we were right" type of thing. Quietly dealt with if at all.

    3. Let me go ahead on the record and state “Evidence found at Salisbury University will be deferred to Allied agency. “. As well as expository information due to the nature and evidence found though investigators. I can somehow all of that up really quick for you and tell you that it was not a Caucasian individual. PERIOD .... That’s the real reason and everyone is to worried to tell the truth .... FBI knee 20 min into investigation and had video of suspects walking in and out ....

  6. Start putting in FOIA requests and will probably get nothing in return because the cumulative intelligence is nil.

  7. Interesting that the SA can prosecute certain alleged crimes, yet finds it difficult to hold her own to task. How fit as this continues to happen withIn the SPD and Wicomico Sheriff’s Department.

  8. Barb. Do the right thing for the department, the city and the mayor and step down. It may not been direct result of you, but this falls on your watch and your command. That’s what comes with being the commander and chief. You and you staff need to step down. At least some in your staff can retire and walk away, but you on the other hand have a different situation. If you want to save what little bit of credibility this department has, show some dignity and step down. Jake will never step up. His political career is over bc of this and many other professional and personal issues. But you can leave quietly with some dignity before the shi*t hits the fan. We all know it’s going to. The S/A will face her demise when election comes. She won’t do the right thing and will protect mayor instead of being neutral in all issues and follow the rule of law. This issue is going to impact a lot of people and political positions. Save yourself Barb and maybe she’s some positive light on Jakes failing leadership skills by not removing you. Again Jake needs to make it easy bc he can’t do what’s right and the hard decisions. My God I feel sorry for the rest of SPD in this term oil and black cloud. This is a great department with piss poor leadership from the mayor down.

  9. Takes time to cover tracks from that far back. Their concern is those they associate with, not we the people nor the rule of law, that too has been of balance a very long time. When they no longer care about the rule of law and everything is just a formality its time to kick them to the curb. Judges that wail and flaunt their bias, leo that lie constantly under oath and they all look the other way, prosecutors hiding and ignoring evidence to streamline the process. The entire system is corrupt top to bottom. Guns drugs and money....

  19. I should let this go. I am confused. The SA's boss is the judge. So he is having an affair with judge? Or she is having . . .

  21. If a new States Attorney was elected they would need to begin their job without worrying about anything that has already happened.Any leftover issues would need to be addressed by independent investigators.Let him or her commence their job with immunity from existing matters.A new SA would be able to provide 100% cooperation with investigators without implicating themselves.

  22. What we don't know:-
Who are the police officers in question
    Who is the civilian involved
    What is missing
How long is this been happening
When is the public going to be advised
Why are they still being paid while on suspension (they can be
    reimbursed if not guilty)

How many FOIA requests have been initiated and not responded to..
