  8. So the criminals get to investigate themselves now? Will this be the case for all criminals now or just cop/criminals?

Must be nice to be a criminal, then still get paid to be a cop/criminal amd then get to investigate your own criminal actions?

New justice system in place, can't wait til just regular old criminals get to investigate themselves and not just cop/criminals.

No arrest, no bail review, no charges, nothing. Paid time off and the ability to investigate yourself. Win win. We love leos.

  11. You do not suspend VETERAN police officers unless you have solid evidence of wrong doing.

  12. This started in 1997 yet chief Duncan said as soon as issues like this arise they are on it immediately. They have known of the problem a second time again in 2012, yet she claims they're on top of it immediately. This is ridiculous!

  15. Please excuse my confusion Joe, but wasn’t this memorandum discovered at the WCSA’s office who notified SPD of it’s existence? Who generated this memorandum and if it was at the WCSA’s office why did they sit on it for 8 or 9 years with no action?

  16. I’m so glad the officers are getting their due process. This is more than your average Joe would get from them.

  17. Biggest bunch of nothing from the chief of police.
More reason not to trust the people that are put in the position of public trust and safety.

The proper thing that should be done is to have an independent investigation from an outside agency and the resignation from the chief.

    1. SU police doesn’t have officers sitting at home from 8 years of cover up and a theft prone property room that spanned since 1997... just saying....

    2. No they just look the other way on racial attacks on white students and try to force themselves on female students

    3. What females, send them in to file a complaint. The officers don’t look the other way on this, above their level has nothing to do with them, if that is even the case. Go back to your evidence room and put the drugs back that you stole.

  19. Local news reporters always go for the "how does that make you feel" questions, never mind about the who, what, where, when and why of real journalism.

  20. I'll repeat, you don't suspend 3 veteran officers with decades of experience unless you have a solid case against them. I'm not saying the states attorneys are good enough to convict them. Let's also remember this has been COVERED UP since 1997. It's bad Folks!

  21. I think everyone is mixing facts between the two cases. In the first case, a civilian employee is accused of STEALING evidence dating as far back as 97. In the second case, three officers are accused of CONCEALING evidence that was exculpatory dating back to 2011. Both really bad but completely different.

  25. The irony in demanding due process for cops that have appeared to not give others due process is quite amusing.

  28. Joe - look into Jake Day’s relationship with Vaughn White, Sr. A recently retired high ranking Salisbury University official. His son is Vaughn White, Jr. is one of the guys arrested on Dec 8, 2011. Looks like the officers are going down for Jake’s favor for a friend.
