An Open Letter from State’s Attorney Jamie Dykes to Wicomico Schools and Our Community

  1. I believe things will only change for the worse. If you want a look into the future just talk to any elementary school teacher about all the behavioral issues. Our leaders are failing several generations and if you do what's right you are told you are wrong.

  2. Bad apples everywhere, sex crimes should be no tolerance, one and killed. As for the young people, one was apparently armed with a knife so that says something about our community, and the other was or showed signs of an abuser. Parents, laws, need to be stricter

  3. Our schools are horrible, just look at the people that run them!

  6. Start criminally charging the perpetrators and the ones that do not report the incidents covering up the criminal actions. Quit pampering these criminals and liberal leaders.

  8. You guys are failing us!! The School system is broke..more money WILL NOT FIX IT. So i have a Blue collar solution.
    What we need is:
To Throw off the chains of the FEDS dictates and state BOE Fat & BS..that should be first order of bussiness.
Second-set ridgid core standards, shove common core where it belongs
    third-open reform schools back up.
    fourth-the state funds reform schools
fifth-vouchers cover the schools that survive.
Sixth- hold parents more accountable for the problem kids. Shaming always worked. Maybe we should bring that back.. Certainly trying not to hurt anybody's feelings is not working.

A Vouchers system will direct TAX dollars to schools that produce results en force discipline and actually educate our children instead of indoctrinating them. Then some of the current indoc centers could be remodeled as reform schools which is basically what they are now anyway.

Vouchers could grow more local smaller functional education programs.
However I'm sure the powers to be will scream, cry, kick, resist any attempt by us to regain control of the education system. Maybe even grammer nazi my tirade...why? Because they are scared to lose control of the scam.

We can no longer stomach the staus quo. If it continues to be run by overpaid incompetent, PHD Tax sucking bureaucrats. Stealing dollars from the classrooms to pay fat useful idiots who dont realize their policies SUCK.

  9. Jamie -

Thank you for your honest, level headed statement. People caught up in the misinformation do no help to anyone. Thank you also for addressing this issue (Seth's murder) head on. True words were never spoken. Fair justice requires time and diligence. It isn't done in an episode like TV. Bless all our peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.

  10. As usual there are 3 sides to every story. Your side ,my side and the truth if it can be determined. One side says it's murder and another side says self defense after being beaten to the ground by a jealous boyfriend. How about the girl giving her phone number to another guy while she is with her boyfriend.Sure that is not a crime but did it set the stage for a tragedy. Young hormones running wild and there are no winners.Mature people are guilty as well. SEX HAS RULED SOCIETY SINCE THE GARDEN OF EDEN-AND SO IT IS!!!!!

  11. Common Core is an Agenda 21 initiative that I doubt if anyone who reads this column even knows what it is and what damage it has done and con tinues to do to the education system. But Democrats you just keep voting Democrat and reap what you have sowed.
