ReplyDeleteWhen I was employed by the state, my first year I was on probation and was not allowed to take any annual leave. As far as I can see the state encompasses more than Eastern Shore. So are you saying typical backwards Eastern Shore or typical backwards state of Maryland? Crawl back under the rock you were under.

ReplyDeleteThey fired the gene cook guy becasue he was the whistle blower on the dumping and to the very bad conditions the town was over looking and continues to do... What is sad is that these are peoples lives being hurt by all of this, HEALTH WISE, yes people have cases with the Health department as we speak for health issues do to this but the town, well the people who run the town don't give a shit so what does that tell you???? They can't hide the lawsuits that will be coming so they can fire all they want, but the truth will come out...

It seems to me that the ones responsible are still in office why do we have to wait to get them out...??? Trump is cleaning the swamp we did to do the same. The Pres.,town mgr and a commissioner need to be replaced...I don't think someone should be a commissioner that was directly related to the embezzlement charges. All the truth has never come completely out and we the people have a right to know.

Now Fat Joe is going to add a 15 dollar surcharge on each quarter water and sewer bill to match a grant for a water treatment upgrade that was already paid for a few years back and supposed to last 30 years. Where did that money go Constable Harris? I wonder how many free tickets from the sinking ship boxcar 40 will be given to the town council elite for there big crab feast in the near future.

No one said he had to get paid, he probably wasn't but to think you can't go to the doctor for 90 days is, simply put, ignorant, stupid, illogical, typical eastern shore.
The Family Medical Leave Act applies to companies that employ 50 or more employees.
DeleteAlso, the employee had to have completed at least 1200 hours on the job or 12 months, before this applies.

DeleteSometimes it can be very difficult to get an appointment that's not during business hours. Most doctors don't have appointments in the evening.

DeleteAnd when you go to appointments im sure you clock out and arent getting paid. Also beings i have children and work all the time i have to take kids to appointments during the day and i clock out when i go and usually i tell the boss ahead of time.
That’s the choice you made. Find other arrangements for appts.

ReplyDeleteI hear people say he could make an appointment on his off time. If he worked Monday -Friday, it is hard to make a doctors or dentist appt. because they are closed on weekends! Some appointment are 6-12 months in advanced are you don’t get them! So make it on your off time sounds like a retired person!
